Reconciling changes to item in both Outlook and iPod Touch
I accidentally changed a Note/Memo in both the Outlook and iPod Touch. When I sync (sunc?), iTunes shows me a window with the Outlook version of the note/memo on one half, and the iPod Touch version on the other half. However, I haven't found a way to save both as notes/memos, nor have I been able to select the text in the two versions. This means that I can't dump the two versions into two files and bring difference-identifying tools to bear e.g. Word's file comparison or Vim's differencing function. Is there a way to have both versions of the note/memo saved, or the select the text from both versions for copying and pasting?
Yes, you can. I sync an iPhone and an iPod Touch to the same computer without problems.
I sync by selected playlists to make it easier to select which content goes on which device.
I would suggest creating separate groups in your Address Book for your contacts and her contacts, so each can have his or her own list.

Changing Itunes ID on itun's and ipod touch
I recently changed my email and tried to change my itunes ID because my email changed. Itunes has accepted the change and i can log in with my new id and password. I can not get it to change on my ipod touch, when i go onto itunes with my ipod it keeps coming up with my old email and will not accept my old or new password.
I have tried to reseting my ipod touch, but it keeps coming up with my old email.
is there something i missed?.

I recently changed my apple ID, both email and password. For some reason icloud is on the old email account and i do not remember that password to log out and login with new credentials.

My Ipod and Ipod touch both sync and update latest CD music added to Itunes, however when I connect my Iphone it wont sync my most recent CD addition to iTunes?
I have my iTunes settings to prevent my iPod from synching automatically.
Open iTunes (without the iPod Touch connected) , go to "iTunes"--->"Preferences"--->"Devices", select the box that says "Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from synching automatically", select "OK".
I would then close iTunes and then reopen it. Verify that the settings you just changed are intact.
Log into the iTunes store and update any Apps that you may have purchased.
Connect the iPod Touch via USB with iTunes open. You will see the icon on the left side under "Devices" as normal, however it will not automatically sync.
Click on the "Device" in iTunes and from there you can manually adjust all the items you want to sync and then select sync when you are ready.
I sync mine this way because I feel it gives me more control over the syncing process. Also, I always log into the iTunes store first, check for updates to my Apps and then connect the iPod to manually sync.
So, to me, I guess that perhaps is a way to "force" the sync but in a controlled manner.

Some of my apps on both my iPad and iPod Touch no longer have sound. Others still do. I checked general settings. Any other ideas of how to fix this?
If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

I tend to make my playlists right on my ipod. This did not happen for the last 2 years. Just started recently. Did get a new computer recently.That is because you got a new computer. You can only sync all media from one syncing computer. You can sync from any computer to iPod using the manual method but that does not sync from iPod to computer.

i can't get itunes to recognize my ipod touch, 2nd gen. synced it yesterday. have restarted both computer and ipod. my iphone syncs just fine.

You can authorize your computer for both accounts. Put all of the music on one computer. Sync your devices to that computer. -

After updating my iphone3gs and ipod touch 4g to ios 6, the auto lock fuction doesn't work always , especially if passbook is left open in the background!
i have also restored both the devices but the problem still persists and is affecting the battery life!Same problem here, after istalling ios 6 on my iphone 4s my auto lock didnt work, but when i closed my assistive touch it worked again..I didnt have this problem in the 5.1.1 version. I dont wanna close the assistive touch tough....annoying problem !!!
Another problem occured in the settings of alarm clock. The sensivity of the on-off button is not as good as in the 5.1.1 version...
Hope they will fix this problem soon !!!

Yes. There is no limit to the number of iPods you can have synced with one iTunes account or library.

No you can sync your content to any number of devices.
Simply, plug new iPod in, configure it to sync with iTunes library however you wish and be on your way.

I recommend that you
Create a NEW account/ID using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before.
Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store account without a credit card
Use the new ID but only for:
Settings>Messages>Send and Receive
Settings>FaceTime
Settings>GameCenter
and Settings>iCloud if you want to have separate Contacts Calendar and some other things.
Continue to use the same/common Apple ID for Settings>iTunes and App stores so you can share purchases. -

First of all, thanks for the detailed notes of the troubleshooting steps you've already tried. It's hard to pinpoint exactly what is going on in your specific case, but I do have a few more ideas for you to try.
Starting with just one of your iPads, when you get stuck on the "waiting for items to copy" step, just disconnect your iPhone. There are probably some orphaned or corrupt files that need to be addressed. I would suggest closing all of your open apps and then backing your iPad up to iCloud. Then review the articles below to move or delete any big files on your device. These can include Voice Memos (iPhone), music, photos on your camera roll, photos or videos that are attached to your Messages, email attachments, etc.

Internet problems on my macbook pro and ipod touch with camera.

For the last week or so I have been experiencing internet problems with my macbook and iPod touch with camera. I'll be online and clicking different news articles and suddenly the address bar will start to open a link but will not complete it. So what I do is go up to the signal bar and click turn off airport then turn it back on and that will temporarily solve the problem. Same solution on my iPod, I turn off the wifi and turn it back on. It is very frustrating for both devices. I will include as much info as possible. I have a NetGear RangeMax wireless router model WPN824v3. I was wondering if changing the wireless settings on that would solve my problem. I have the channel on 9. Mode on b and g. Security option on WPA-PSK [TKIP] with password. I would be happy for any help with this issue. Also I hope I'm following correct posting protocol. I haven't been on this forum in a while.Sig,
Thanks for the advice. I finally tried a solution after doing nothing. LoL. What I did do was change the channel the router was on from 9 to 7. I think I've done something like this in the past when I had slow internet and that worked out well too. I thought that would help and so far so good. Not an interruption so far but we shall see. To the guy or girl who expressed that they had the same problem as me I would try changing the channel of your router like I did. I will monitor the situation and see if it totally solved my problem or not and keep this thread updated. Thanks people
