Can not send email from Mac, iPhone, or iPad using mail using iCloud.

I can send email from the icloud web page but I get error messages that the icloud outgoing server is not recongized when I send email from my iphone, ipad and Mac mail. I can receive icloud email okay on all devices. I have manully setup a icloud server per instructions on icloud support page for mail's outgoing server name. It still is not recongized.

I found a work around that works. Got to Settings...Icloud....account......advanced....outgoing mail server.....
Add an "other" server.
Host Name p01-smtp.mail.me.com
Put in your me.com email address as username and your Apple ID password
SSL is on
Authentication is password
Server port 587
This worked for me.....I will use this until the bug is fixed. Don't make this server your primary. Leave it in "on" status in the other category.

IPhone 3 not updating mail

My husband's iPhone 3 won't connect to mail. Safari is working perfectly but the time/date in mail update does not change, iCloud mail isn't working neither is aol. His iPad is working fine. Any ideas? I did a full shutdown, no help. We changed time zones and the time changed correctly. Both wifi and cellular are working.
He is on 5.1.1

A lot of people have been unable to access Yahoo e-mail on their iPhones or iPads. My wife’s iPad was not downloading Yahoo mail, although her iPhone was. Both used IOS 8.2. We tried deleting the account several times and troubleshooting all of the other settings. The problem appears to have been that allowing the IOS to automatically create the account on the iPad resulted in the wrong settings for the incoming server. The following procedure, pieced together from two websites, fixed the problem for us. So far, so good.

On the iPhone, tap Settings.
Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

Enter the following incoming mail server information:

Username is your full email address
Password is the same password used to access webmail.
Enter the following outgoing mail server information:

Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Port: 465 or 587
Requires SSL: Yes
Requires authentication: Yes
Username is your full email address
Password is the same password used to access webmail. It may have been entered for you.
Tap Next.
The iPhone will establish an SSL connection to your IMAP and SMTP servers.

Iphone, Me and push mail

I have iPhone, 1 MS exchange mail account, 1 me.com account and 1 gmail account.
how do I make all of those "Push-Mail" ?
does my "me.com" account allow to pull mails from those accounts then push them down to my iPhone?

As I understand it, only your .me account will push email. The rest, pull. If you forward the others to your .me account, they will get pushed to you from .me, but I'm not sure whether they will get pushed to your .me account. I think it will depend on your other email accounts. Of course, you will also lose your separate mailboxes on your iPhone, as they will all now be in your .me mailbox.

How do I get iphone to reply to mail using a particular "from" address?

I'm having a problem getting my girlfriends iPhone to respond to mails the way she wants. Basically she has a website for her business and I have gone into the settings on 123.reg.co.uk where she bought the domain and had it forward emails from her site to her me.com address which she can then view on her iphone. The problem is she wants to reply to mails that have arrived via her website using the same mail address so people would see "from: [email protected]" in their inbox.
Any ideas how I can do this?
I had a look at aliases on the mobileme prefs but there are restrictions on what characters you can use so I have had to rule that out.

You have to set up that email account on your iPhone for it to reply from that account. Unless she can set up the Poppyseedbakery email account there is no way for her replies to come from that. Have you thought about setting up an email account, for example [email protected] or something similar? Then you can set that up on your iPhone and reply from that.

Iphone 4 smtp outgoing mail problems

Hi,
I am trying to set up the outgoing mail with the iphone, however it fails everytime.
My mail server doesnt accespt smtp requests from external Ips, so in the past on my Treo phone
I had a vzwmail.net account and used that to send my mail out.
On my blackberry i had no problems, however on the iphone i cannot send mail.
My collegue who has att iphone has to use a att smtp server for his outgoing which works fine.
I tried the smtp.vzwmail.net with my [email protected] but this no longer seems to be working.
I was told to try hostname: outgoing.verizon.net with port 587
however then it asks me for a usename /password.
I have tried my cell number as username, also my Myverizon username and password , all which fail.
How can i resolve this and be able to send mail.

IPhone 3G and iCloud mail

Hi all. I have a question. I have a 3 y.o. iPhone 3G and I would like to configure my new @me.com mail.
If I go to "add new mobile me account" on the phone, it gives me only the option "Find my iPhone": I'm wondering wht it doesn't give me also mail, calendar and contacts option.
So I'm wondering if there is the possibility to use PUSH MAIL with iPhone 3G and iCloud mail account.
I only found a "manual" configuration that seem to work only for incoming mail, but I didn't understand how to activate push mail notifications.

They ignored us then and when MobileMe became iCloud they ignored us again, and just carried on with a system that will not update the e-mail read status across all devices
That's how it works, and like you 1000's of loyal Apple users cant believe it either but there you go

Voice mail, including visual voice mail, is a carrier feature. Contact your carrier again and escalate the call until you get hold of someone with a clue.
This is assuming you're using a Straight Talk CDMA iPhone. If you're using an unlocked iPhone with a Straight Talk GSM SIM card, that's not supported by either StraightTalk or Apple.

My iTunes Store on IPhone comes up with an error ([newNullResponse]). It is just on the music tab, tv shows and movies tab works fine. I have tried restarting phone, closing app, turning my account off and on. What is the problem I need help?!!!!

Try a different cable and a different charger. If neither fixes it you probably need a new battery. Apple will replace it for $80 in the US; I don't know what the charge is in other locations.

It read it already, but it did not mention about the country. I can saw "Designed by Apple in California. Assembled in China". but it does not mean that the iPhone comes from US or China. I mean that what model come from which country. thanks for your help anyway.

Everytime I go to update my apps some other persons email or AppleID comes up and I have to cancel. its annoying enough to have to update all the time but now I have about100 update notifications (don't judge, you probably have a ton of apps too..haha) that are sitting idol, what's up how do I fix?

I'm sorry Allan, I should have clarified, your answer is improbable (well the first part atleast).
The apps I have had since the first week of purchase of my iphone back in 2011, I have not added any apps until 2 months before the last software update. This starting happening when the new software was implemented but I have not updated to iOS6 yet. Unless this person was able to hack into my account & transfer them to their account, I do not see how that is possible.
Prior to seeing this other AppleID, I have a popup to prompt me for my AppleID each time I download content. Each time I would see mine and enter my password.
