je viens d'acheter le dernier OS mountain lion ou l'on peux voir dans la publicité les avantages de "recopie vidéo Airplay" , hélas gros mensonge de la pomme, mon macbook pro est trop vieux!!! c'est vraiment une arnaque!!! Et qu'il ne vienne pas dire que c'est technologiquement pas faisable, on trouve des logiciels payant qui permette cette fonctionalité!!!
decidemment la pomme n'est plus que qu'elle etait...

i have a macbook pro (almost positive that its a 2010 version) and i got mountain lion. The BIGGEST AND MAIN REASON i bought mountain lion was so that i can do airplay, allowing me to mirror image what is on my mac to my Apple TV. my whole computer is updated as far as the displays and newer features but the small airplay icon will not show up on the top of my screen. therefore, not allowing me to mirror image what is on my mac to my tv... it is connected to the same wifi as my apple tv. idk what to do. could it be because my macbook pro is a 2010? desprately looking for help...please help me with this issue

Windows Server 2003 R2 on MacBook Pro?

I've spent some time on Google and it seems some people have installed W2K3R2 with Boot Camp but they have a variety of driver issues. From what I've read the keyboard mapping is the most problematic issue initially? If anyone here in the forum is running Windows Server 2003 R2 on their MacBook Pro I would be very interested in hearing about your experience. While running W2K3R2 in VMware is an option, I am looking to extract maximum performance from this installation so Boot Camp would be ideal.

since W2K3 and XP-64 uses the same code-base/kernel and XP-64 is not supported by Apple with BootCamp Drivers, this might be not that easy to solve.
I once installed XP-64 on my Mac Pro and while I was able to find most drivers for it on the internet, I couldn't get any Apple-specific hardware to work.
And the keyboard or better said, some special-keys like Eject, Brightness, etc. was one of them.
The basic keyboard functions should work.

Can't find the Airplay icon! I have a Macbook Pro Late 2011

I have a MacBook Pro Late 2011. Yes I am sure that it is Late 2011 because I looked up the serial number and the website says it is indeed MacBook Pro Late 2011. I just bought an Apple TV and I want to use Airplay but I CANNOT find the Airplay icon on the upper right menu bar. I updated my software and everything but I still dont see it! What do I need to do inorder for me to use Airplay? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!

What Mac do you have? It needs to be at least 2011
OSX needs to be at least 10.8
Has nothing to do with Internet, you need to check your local network and also make sure both ATV and Mac are on the same network. Airplay should also be enabled on ATV

Using Airplay with AppleTV to share my MacBook Pro desktop is very unstable since upgrading to Yosemite, are there any settings I need to reconfigure?

I used to use desktop sharing from my Macbook Pro (Late 2011, Intel Core i5) to watch videos on my TV. Since upgrading to Yosemite the stream has been unwatchable. Both visual and audio latency problems are very common. As streaming from my iOS devices is fine, I'm pretty sure it's not my WiFi setup. Has anyone had similar problems? Are there any settings I need to change to improve Airplay from Yosemite?

right. your options are to use ARD or ssh to access the server and use the 10.4 specific admin tools, since they won't run on 10.6.

Airplay not showing up on 2013 MacBook Pro

I have a 2013 MacBook Pro and I have recently purchased an Apple TV which works perfectly with my iPad and iPhone, however my MacBook Pro won't pick up that the Apple TV is even connected to the network. I have had this problem a few times and the last time I completely restored to Mavericks and it was able to pick up the Apple TV, I do not want to have to restore my Mac again. Any fixes?

Question about RADIUS server configuration with a MacBook Pro

Hello,
I own a modem router which is capable of WPA2 Enterprise and I want to use it with a RADIUS server for authentication and security purposes.
However, I have a few doubts about this.
MY CONFIGURATION:
The modem router would be connected to a fixed PC with Windows and to a MacBook Pro (both with Ethernet)
The RADIUS server would be running on the MacBook Pro (freeRADIUS)
The bold is the issue, that comes when I disconnect the MBP (it's a notebook, so I use it disconnected from the router sometimes).
Supposing the router would have recognized it (correct configuration), it would disconnect from it.
My questions:
Would Wi-Fi be lost in this manner? Or would the modem router automatically switch to another Wi-Fi authentication?
If I reconnected the MBP to the modem router and re-run the RADIUS server, would I need to access the control panel and re-configure the WPA2 Enterprise in order for Wi-Fi to work again?

This is HDV, right? HDV has the same data rate as DV...13.6GB/hour. But because of the MPEG-2 Long GOP format the HDV format employs, it can be a bit tough to edit, but mainly when rendering effects. IT will be slower than DV, and you can't monitor thru the camera like you can with DV, but a simple FW400 drive and Intel Mac will be fine. Better if you can convert to ProRes upon ingest, but then that eats up a LOT more space and requires at least FW800...

Try changing your energy saver settings. Make sure the macbook is plugged in and change both display and computer sleep to never. When your display goes to sleep airplay will shut off. I don't watch a lot of tv on airplay from my mac, but this works for when I'm streaming radio or music. I suggest getting a cheap iPod touch (with airplay) on craigslist if you don't have an iPhone. I've seen them as low as $30. Then get the Air Video app ($3) and the Remote app (free). These two apps take care of all of my tv/movie watching needs.
If your appleTV is too far from your wireless router then you will have trouble using any of these features. Try purchasing an extra long (100') cat5 cable from monoprice.com and moving your router to a more central area of your house. You can even put a second router in your home using this cat5 and get great internet connection everywhere!

If i want to use Airplay on my Mac and iPodTouch the Player stops after a few seconds! It only stops if there is a Android Phone in the Network!(Android 4.1.2>) If i start iTunes on a Windows PC it works without any Issues!

HT204291 Airplay skips when streaming from my Macbook Pro

Hey!
Im finding ever since i recently purchased my newest Apple Tv unit that whenever i stream from my macbook (mirroring) it skips, both audio and video. I have several other apple tv devices throughout the house and they all work fine when doing the same thing. The device with the problem is located in my living room, perhaps 4 metres from the wireless internet station. Its the closest in proximity out of all the apple tv's.
Any help resolving this issue would be great! If theres is any details that i need to provide just let me know.

You have a box you can check over at: "Apple menu > System Preferences > Displays"
"show mirroring options in the menu bar when available"

If that's not the solution: try unplugging all your routers/modems/extenders, etc from power for a minuten and plugging them back in. Sometimes routers 'think' you have a new machine after upgrading the OS and erroneously block it from some network communication ports.
