Record 1024 x 768 and resize to 800 x 600

Hi all,
Does anybody know if it possible within Captivae 5.5 to record a screen which is 1024 x 768 and later crop the recorded sheets to 800 x 600? I would like to record the full screen because of the menu's etc. but the LMS needs a 800 x 600 swf file
Hope to hear from you

Hi there,
Strange, seached for it a couple of days and after adding this issue the solutions appears. For who want to know i record on my desktop 1440 x 900 and choose for Modify >> Rescale Project to 1024 x 640. This results in a full screen video but a little smaller.

  • Which codec for 1024 x 768 clips (mainly Photographs in two or more layers)

    Hi!
I want to create a Rearprojection as a background for a theatre play. The footage is mainly high resolution photographs which I edited in photoshop. I want to use two or more layers with transparant areas (eg. a wall with windows and a moving landscape behind the wall. Through the windows you can see the landscape).
The projector works with a resolution of 1024 x 768 and therefore the videoclips should have the same resolution.
As the clips will be looped and are quite short (from 1 to max. 5 minutes) the size of the videofiles doesn´t have to be very small.
Which codec should I use to achieve good quality?

I will use either Final Cut Pro directly or a Video Player named Qlab.
The footage will be put on a MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo which is connected with the video projector via a 5x BNC (RGBHV)-cable.

  • How do I automatically make new front panels and block diagrams a certain size and screen position, like able to fit on a 1024 x 768 screen?

I'm studying for the CLD and I notice that one of the requirements is this:
Develop block diagrams to fit a screen resolution of 1024 x 768.
When I create a new VI, its resolution is slightly too big: 1110 x 768.
When I create a subVI via the menu item Edit >> Create SubVI, it is way too small: 800 x 543.
For both methods of creating new VIs, I would like to specify both the screen position and window size. But if that is not possible in LabVIEW, I'd like a quick way to make this happen. I see some property nodes for VIs where I could write a subVI that could do this for the front panel, but that is awkward. And it does not apply to block diagrams.
Is there a clever way to do these things?

It doesn't mean the default size of the window. It means once your code is complete, your block diagram should be small enough that you can see all your code when its on a monitor of that resolution. Before you test, set your computer monitor resolution to 1024x768. Write your code. If all the code on your block diagram can be seen without scrolling, you will be fine. They won't measure this explicitly. They are basically just saying "you shouldn't have a huge block diagram."

I am running windows xp and have tried chnaging the resolution to 1024 x 768 or highre and am still finding that not all the options on i tunes are displayed on my pc. I have also tried unistalling and reinstalling the software but to no avail. At present all the left hand tabs are missing and the info and summary tabs are missing which means i cannot sync etc

You'll probably have more luck getting help if you ask in the iTunes for Windows forum rather than here in the iTunes for Mac forum. If, however, you have iTunes 11, many people haven't yet figured out the new default interface in iTunes 11. To get to the iPad information so you can sync, click the iPad button in the header bar at the upper-right:
Or go to the View menu and select "Show Sidebar" and the interface will then look substantially like it did in earlier versions. If you don't see the menus, go to the small icon with the arrow at the extreme upper left and select "Show Menu Bar":

  • Error Message that my resolution is not 1024 x 768

I downloaded Presenter 9 as a trial (Windows 7/Powerpoint 2010). When I tried to record a video from within Powerpoint, I got an error message that said my screen resolution is not 1024 x 768, even though I verified that it was set properly. I called the Adobe Technical support 800 number and was told that in order to record a video from within Powerpoint, I need to have Captivate installed first. Is that so?
Also, does Presenter work with my computer's built-in camera? I seem to remember seeing a video on Adobe's website that explained that Presenter will work with the built-in camera, but an HD camera is recommended.
Presenter seems like an amazing product, but I just wish I could get it to work.

Did the error message come up when you hit REC or when the video recording application opens?
There is an option to change the settings for this tool, it is the gear looking button on the top right of the video recording dialog.
It will open a window where you can change the resolution of the video and screen capture and at the bottom is the check box telling Presenter to make the change to the desired resolution automatically. (The check box is partially obscured here)
Try playing with these settings and see if that helps.

  • Recording larger broswer window interactions in 800 x 600 existing project

    I've created a demo that's 800 x 600 and now want to add to
it--record some interactions with a Web page which is a larger
dimension. Is there a way to record something larger and
automatically shrink it down as it records into an existing 800 x
    600 project?
    Thanks!

    Hi Bob
You would do this by recording a new project at the larger
size. Resize to make it smaller, then import the slides from the
    new project into the existing.
    Hope this helps some... Rick

  • Presentation Director allows only max 1024 x 768

    Hi,
I have a T42 and recently purchased a 22" LCD monitor to connect through my dock station. When I dock my thinkpad I can only see in 1024*768 resolution and would like to configure it to 1280*1024. When I do it manually and undock the Thinkpad its LCD remains in 1280*1024 and to restore it to 1024*768 It asks to reboot windows.
    Can anyone help me?
    Thanks.
    Juan

The Syncmaster 510 is a 15" LCD monitor and the highest resolution it supports is 1024 x 768. That is why you can't get it to go higher. You will need to upgrade to a larger monitor in order to have 1280 x 800 on the external monitor.

  • Upload and Resize Image not inserting filename in database

I have a form that I created using the insert record form wizard. One of the fields is a file field and my form enctype is set to multipart/form-data. I then used the upload and resize image behavior and set the parameters. When testing the form the file uploads to the correct directory but no entry is made into the database for that particular field. The other fields are entered into the database just fine. If the reason is about memory, warning message should be happened when upload the image, because "show thumbnail" means resize at second time, how come you failed to resize the picture that system let it upload succeed at the first time by the same resize process?
    upload procedure
    a.jpg: 2722x1814, 1.2mb
upload condition: fixed width 330px, 1.5mb
"upload and resize" a.jpg -> file upload -> "resize engine" -> passed (but not work and no warning message)
"show thumbnail" a.jpg -> "resize engine" -> failed (not enough memory)
    it doesn't make sense.
and you miss an important key point, I upload the same picture myself, and resize work, so I said it happened at random, and that's why I am so worried.

  • 1024 X 768 resolution...alright already.

My screen resolution IS set at 1024 X 768 - why do I keep getting an error message that says I should change it to the best optimal viewing resolution of 1024 X 768?

    Bill,
What is your interest or need for 1024x768? Is it because that's the size of your original images? Is that the size you want to output? If the latter, why that size - for example, are you thinking you need that size to fill the screen when you show the photos?
iPhoto, iMovie, FCE and iDVD can ALL do slideshows of your photos and include a music track. They accept 1024x768 original images. All except iDVD can output a QuickTime file of your finished slideshow, including the music. The video apps will adjust the size of your photos to fit standard DV 4:3 720x480 (or possibly HD dimensions of 1280x720 or 1920x1080 if you work in HD) - but sizing in the video realm is not the same as sizing in the digital photo realm. If your concern is image quality, regular DV 720x480 will give you a very nice quality image on your screen.
iPhoto, iMovie and iDVD can also automatically adjust the onscreen time of each photo so that the complete slideshow matches the length of the music track.
Is that what you were looking for?
Note: I just read your following post and realized you are in the UK, the DV pixel sizes I mentioned above are NTSC, not PAL.

  • IdeaPad 10Se and running software requiring at least 800 x 600 grafic resolution

I have bought an IideaPad 10Se this week with the 1024 x 576 resolution. I have problems installing harwere requiring at least 800 x 600 resolution. I installed my HP writer that requires at least 800 x 600 by attaching an external screen and made only displayed on this screen during installation. That was a fine work-around for installations. Now I have installed a Canoscan 4200f scanner using the same work-arround. Unfortunately the Canoscan Toolbox programme tests the resolution everytime it starts and when it is not up to 600 in vertical resolution it refuse to start. Is there a way to fool programmes that the resolution is 600 in vertical resolution and not just 576? Or how can I solve this problem.

I had a problem installing the Cisco VPN which required at least the 800x600 resolution
to install but not to actually run the software after it was installed.
It seems you can set the resolution to 640x480 using third party software but not
any resolution with more than 576.
FWIW 1024x576 is exactly the 16:9 aspect ration as found in HD TVs.
There is software that won't install and there is software that won't run after it is installed.
I found if I plugged my spare monitor into the VGA port and then used the FN+F3
you can make the external monitor your primary one temporarily. This assumes
the external monitor supports at least 800x600 of course.
Then just install or run your software 800x600 normally.
It's a kludge for the "won't install but will run" type software.

  • Message Note : "Resolution screen should be 1024 by 768 pixels"

    Kindly advice :
when processing transaction code ZSD1ALL01 in MySAP Upgrade version 6.0 of SAP, message appear "Resolution screen should be 1024 by 768 pixels". how do we maintain this setting?
    Thank you.

To change or check the settings for your screen resolution, please follow these steps:
    -  From your task bar at the bottom-left corner of your Windows 98, Windows 2000, or Windows XP computer, click once on "Start."
    -  Select "Settings."
    -  Select "Control Panel." A window should open up with the control panels for your operating system.
    -  Select "Display" and then "Settings" from the tab menu.
    -  Using your mouse, click down, hold, and slide the horizontal bar toward the right, where it reads, "More."
    -  Slide the bar until it reads "1024 by 768" or greater.
    -  It is recommended that you use a fairly high resolution setting that will allow you to use the most screen space possible, anything from 1024 by 768 to 1280 by 1084. Anything higher than this will probably make some things too small to read on your screen, although the degree of detail will be higher.
    thanks

  • Image Upload and Resize Trigger Order Question

    Hello All,
I do enjoy and like using the ADDT, however I do have a problem with the Image Upload and Resize trigger.
I understand that this trigger is of the AFTER type, and as such, the insert record I have on the page is implemented first and the data is inserted into the table, then images uploaded provided they are smaller than 200 kB in size.
However, as I have a field that is unique in the database, if the upload fails I am unable to upload any files which are under the size and put that information into the database, as there is already a record with the unique value.
Is there an easy way to work around this by trying to capture the error before the data is inserted into the database?
An idea I have is to: check the unique field with the value to be inserted, if fails, change unique value -> nothing inserted yet, no files uploaded.
If the unique check passes, insert remaining data and trigger the upload and resize image trigger, once that is complete, have an update of the table to update with the unique value.
I can see the above working, (I think), but I just have to write the code to implement the idea.
I am not sure how to use the roll-back triggers either, if the Upload Image trigger fails, to remove the inserted record.  But if I can manage the roll-back trigger to remove the record, that is an option to consider for what I want to achieve.
Thanks to any help people can provide.
    Cheers,
    Ian.

    Thank you for your reply.
I have a work-around, I have split the forms over two pages, rather than put everything on one page - which introduced another issue, to which I have made a work-around of sorts too.
The two forms, on different pages, is probably a better idea in terms of better management of data input. The work-around was a Header redirect based on a form variable, as, if I used a Custom Trigger to dynamically generate a new URL, it generated an escaped-encoded URL - to which I have not figured out how to fix.
So, in the meantime, it works, so I will settle for that at the moment.
    Again, thanks for you reply.
    Ian.

  • Screen Resolution - want to go to 1280 x 1024 from 1024 x 768 !!

Is there any way of increasing the screen resolution to 1280 x 1024 from 1024 x 768 ??

Unsupported screen resolutions generally are not possible on internal
displays; some screen spanning software (unsupported by Apple?)
and ResX third-party patches may allow you to use those higher res-
olutions on an external display. But since they are not supported
officially by Apple, any hack to your system software/hardware which
could result in hardware damages to the computer will not be covered
under any Apple warranties on your computer.
So, were you trying to change the internal display's resolution beyond
specs or try running a different res external display?!
Best of luck in your experimentation.
