Record missing in file in Proxy to file interface

I am using proxy to file , in which i am using i have header , header_tax, and line,
everything is fine , even i have checked the mesage monitoriing and component monitoring , i am getting all the data. but in the file generated i am getting only one record that too of two fields
may anyone help me in this please

you saying u can c payload correctly in MONI also..but this is not appearing in File.
do onething check the logs in File adapter also for the particular message ..

this is possible by a dynamic configuration (there is no other easy way)

the idea is to get the file name in runtime using the dynamic conf code and poulating it to any field that will be part of the proxy message

IDOC to FIle, Proxy to file not working

Dear Experts,
I am new with XI configuration scenarios, that to i am facing problem
while i was doing with idoc to file and proxy to file not connecting .
i think what r the prerequisites to scuceed these things.
I think this would be administration configuration.
After installation of XI what r the steps have to follow for achiving this.

PI 7.1 EHP1 - Unable to find missing file (File to Proxy) - AAE

Hi Friends,
We have one File to Proxy scenario which is configured using ICO (Integration Configuration) - AAE. In this, the MDM system places every day n number of files at 9:30 PM IST in FTP server. (No of file ex: 16180, 12500, 6000) like this. It is a one time process everyday. Our PI file channel is shceduled at 10:30 PM ISTto pick and process those files. Once all files are picked, those moved to archive directory.
Then problem is It is difference between files in archive directory and processed messages in PI. Ex:
Sep 30 --> Files --> 16179 (Archive) --> 16178 (Processed in PI), Oct 2 --> Files -->12492 (Archive) --> 12490 (PI).
Everyday 1 or 2 files are missing in PI. We set the polling interval as 2 hrs and keep the channel active for 8 hrs.
1) The file names are unique.
2) Though payload are same in some of the files, the file is processed.
The MDM log says 16179 files were exported successfully.
Is AAE miss any one file / two files ? Really it is confusing for us how to compare this and find the missing one.
Friends, could you please clarify from your experience how to solve this.

Hello,
Please check at PI side how much messages get processsed that day..is there any error in RWB.
Messages count in pi and MDM should match if files are processed succesfully from MDM side.

File 2 Proxy Process in PI 7.1

working on File to Proxy Scenario and I gave the File content conversion as below. Incoming file contains 3 record structures Header, Record & Trailer File is getting processes only where there is only one record in the record structure
The error which I receive is
Conversion of file content to XML failed at position 0: java.lang.Exception: ERROR converting document line no. 2 according to structure 'Record':java.lang.Exception: Consistency error: field(s) missing - specify 'lastFieldsOptional' parameter to allow this
Please suggest what needs to be done on this

I see few things may need a change. First .lastFieldsOptional is obselete now and must not be used. Please see this help for this:

You have given twice. If you give once is OK.
Also the error might be saying you are missing few fields in the last. Since fixed length file if you dont have field you should have spaces in teh file. check that also. Also try to give sample file here so that somebody can help you out.

File to PROXY

Hi all,
Im handling a file to proxy scenario. In FCC, im reading record by record and splitting it into structures in ABAP mapping class.
The issue is when i have spaces at the beginning of the record its getting truncated in the mapping class.
In SXMB_MONI,under view source im able to see the spaces but inside the class when its parsing the spaces are missing.
I need these spaces to be passed on to Proxy.
Please help me with this issue.

In XI i have declared type as string only.
My message type has a structure like:
Documentname
data
row
So data is the recordset with filed row while collects the whole record as a string.

Proxy to File using EOIO

Hi Experts,
I have a scenario where I need to send data from SAP to PI so I am using proxy to file scenario. Here i need to send huge amount of data.
In some blog i saw that proxy can handle only some maximum amount of data.(but not 100% sure how much size of data the proxy can handle)
So i decided to call the proxy multiple times by sending only some 'n' no. of records and kept the receiver file adapter in append mode.
The problem here is the data is not appending in the order in which i am sending from SAP. In sxmb_moni the messages were showing the QoS as 'EO'.
Is it possible to change the QoS to EOIO?

From SAP documentation:
"The sender of a message uses the attribute Quality of Service (QoS) to determine how a message is delivered"
hence ..as the File adapter supports all Qos, the Proxy can be called with Qos EOIO and the adapter will maintain the Qos as requested.
You should how ever try and send the data in a bulk and see how the Proxy handle it.
What is the nature of the data exported and for what purpose?

File Content Conversion Error in PI 7.1 (file to Proxy)

I am working on File to Proxy Scenario and I gave the File content conversion as below, File is picking up by the PI Server when I look at Communication Channel Monitoring, However when I open the Message ID in the CC monitoring it says as
404 Not Found
The requested resource does not exist.
and I do not see any message SXMB_MONI(Because the content is not converted), Can anyone give an idea how to debug this

Can you check the error in sender communication channel?
Go to RWB ---> Component Monitoring ---> Adapter Engine ---> Communication cahnnel monitoring --> it displays new page. Then give your file sender communication cahnnel name. There you will definitely see some error.
The error what you are getting is a different to this one. Can you please check the error what I have given above path.

Problem in Proxy to FIle senario.

Hi ,
I have a simple proxy to file senario, which is working fine.
The problem is that i have to put one more file on the FTP server which has some text of 7 characters that denotes that the Proxy was successful. This second file should only be created after the the first file is successfully created.
One of the solutions is to create to create one more proxy and put the two proxies into a specific queue so they are triggered one after the another.
Do you have any other solution expect this ??

Harpreet.... You do not need two proxies.... Create one proxy with a flag
the purpose of the flag is to indicate whether the record sent is the message payload or the last control record(success/Failure..).. Map the structure of the proxy according to your original msg and the control record.
Use interface determination to specify both the mapping....Make sure that you specify the original fsg first and chk the maintain order option...so the control rec is posted only if the msg record is succesful
Alternativbely make the proxy EOIO..

You still need two mapping...but u dont need the maintain order option.

File Process in File 2 Proxy in PI 7.1

I am working on a File to Proxy scenario where File will have multiple records, When I execute the scenario whole content of the file is coming as single record,
I want to process the each record at a time from the file, Can anyone let me know how to process the each single record at a time from the file

Try to read the file as record by record. Proabably there might be some error in reading the file with your content conversion. If you can give the content conversion parameters you used and one sample file somebody can help you out PR.
Else if you want to read the whole file as one record which you think is the correct process then you may need to write either java mapping or abap mapping.

File to Proxy----Tables not getting updated.

Hi all,
I have File to proxy scnerio, where Data from file is uploaded in to BAPI in turn
updated in to tables.
If i take pay load from Moni and test in SPROXY then tables is getting updated.
But when i run Scnerio form XI tables are not getting updated.

I have scenario file-xi-proxy
file contains the Header detail and trailer record
i have to validate the header, detal and trailer records
In header record i have to validate if header record is not there then stop the processing and same as with tralier record. In header i have to validate on Pay roll date
In detail record i have to validate aganist the Personnel ID and cost center

Hi,
In your scenario two ways you can validate the data.
1) Before the data reaches into SAP system ie in XI system during Mapping or before mapping i,e in Adapter Module in the Sender side
2) this option, is in the receiver applications side. ie. Validations will be taken care in the SAP system i.e in ABAP server proxy code.
Generally, it is prefer to more business critical validations in the Application System ie Receiver Application System (ABAP Server Proxy)
In this, you can have more flexibility of the validations as you are validating some of the SAP payroll informations as Personal ID etc.
Based on the complexity and flexibility of the requirement, you can either do this in the XI (if XI, ie Sender Adapter Module or Mapping) or in the ABAP proxy

File To Proxy : Handle the response from ECC to send mail without BPM

Scenario: FILE To Proxy
Requirement: We are receiving xml acknowledgement file from bank with IDoc number and status in SAP PI and the file is used to send the status number, message and and IDoc number to ECC. After request is received in ECC BAPI is executed to update the original status of outbound IDOC.
There would be multiple records in file and PI will send all IDoc acknowledgement to ECC to update the IDoc status.
Issue: Since PI send all records to ecc, if any single IDoc status update is failing in ECC how would it can be communicated to support.
ECC can send success or error response in proxy but how we can use the same in PI to send mail to support. Or is there any better error handling we can go for in such scenario.

thanks for response.
Interface 1: IDoc (ECC) to File (Bank) --> Done
Interface 2: Acknowledgment File (Bank) to BAPI (ECC) where BAPI will update the status of IDoc sent in first interface.
For Interface 2 : PI will receive file from Bank with multiple records i.e multiple IDoc numbers and their status. PI will invoke proxy to send the IDoc number and status number (eg 16) for all the records together. Now if BAPI fails to update status of any single IDoc in that file how support team will know that the particular record is failed. To handle this error ECC is saying they can send Error and Success back to PI. But the problem is how we can use that response in PI in the same interface to send emails to support team. Bank does not want any response back in this case. This is just to ensure proper error handling since this is bank related interface.
Splitting the interface in two interfaces will definitely help. But is there some way which can be used in same interface and based on error response from ECC mail is triggered.
If any one has better suggestion for such kind of error handling, please post the same.
