We have tried using both the remote and the sky box but nether will work to record or remind later programmes. Any programmes for that matter.

Have you tried turning the Set Top Box off for at least 5 minutes?

Recording new slides doesn't work

I am trying to add some additional slides to an existing .cp file. (Captivate 4) I select the option to insert recording slides. I choose to add the recorded slides after the currently selected slide, and I select the recording window. I set the mode to training simulation, and click the Record button. I can hear the little camera click as I go through the steps, occassionally adding a manual screen shot of my own. When I am finished, I press End, which returns me to Captivate.
In Captivate, I have one new slide at the end of the movie (not after the currently selected slide as requested) ... and no other new slides. If I try to record again, I get a message that I already have a recording session going on, and that I have to stop that session before I proceed. Of course, I have stopped that session, and have no way of stopping it again. I've got to exit Captivate to get out of this predicament.
I have tried copying all of these slides into a new movie, thinking there was something wrong in the movie. But the same thing happens in there.
I have tried recording in a different movie with the same dimensions and then importing them into this movie ... but the slides don't import.
I have invested too much time in the first part of this movie. I only had this one last section to record and it would be finished. I don't want to start all over again if I don't have to.
Do you think the movie is just corrupted in some way, or is this a problem that somebody has a fix for?

Hi Marge,
Yes, it does sound like your original movie may have become corrupted. I would suggest that you try copying slides from your original project to a blank project one by one. If one of the slides will not copy to the new project then you will know that your original project is indeed damaged.
However, since you are using Adobe Captivate 4, it might be worth seeing if you can record additional slides using the Captivate backup file. Begin by creating a copy of the. bak file, remove the .bak suffix and then try recording additional slides using this project file.
If this doesn't resolve the problem then you could try removing the .dat file from the following location.
C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Adobe\Adobe Captivate
Please note that if you are using Windows Vista then the path might be slightly different.
FWIW, I have seen instances when you try to record additional slides in Captivate 4 where you cannot - for some reason - select the application you want to capture screens from the Select Application of the Record Additional Slides dialog. To be fair I have managed to get around this by creating a new project file, capturing my screens and then importing these into my main project file.
If none of the above suggestions work, then re-install Captivate. Failing that please report this issue using the link I have included below.

Record Selection doesn't work with VS 2005 & CR 2008

Hi all,
Recently I installed CR 2008 with Service Pack 1 and integrate with Visual Studio 2005. I converted all the CR reports to CR 2008 while opening the VS project which was created earlier.
My problem is when I load the Crystal report via created application, record selection formula doesn't work instead it shows all records. But in designing time it works fine. Reports which designed with SQL Server Stored Procedure working fine. But reports which designed by adding Tables don't work. It shows all the records without record selection.
I used simple Record selection formula without using any parameter fields. like this
tTransactionDetails.acid} = 1
. still it didn't work.
When I put break point and see assigned values in Report Document object. It shows
Function evaluation timeout
. and then run, it do the record selection. I did this several times, all the time if I see assigned values in Report Document object then the report showed the selected records only otherwise it shows all the records.
I tried this just running the application exe, still the problem remaining.
I have saved the reports without the data, so that it will always load the data from the SQL database.
Please help me to solve this problem.

As it has suggested, I just delete the existing Crystal Report Viewer Control from the form and add it again by clicking on CrystalReportViewer version 12.0.2000.0. It worked.

Do you have the mute switch on? Next to volume buttons - shows orange when mute is on. Other than that just making sure the volume is turned up. It should work.

At one time tool recording was not possible and if you install Adobe Scriptlistener Plug-in Adobe will disable tool recording its never an option.
I use and record actions all the time and was looking forward to tool recording when Adobe announced it. However I found what they delivered was of very limited value because of the restrictions. I do not care that Adobe disables tool recording on my machine.
The amount of data that gets reordered seems also vary between machines. I found that Action recorded on fast machine are not usable on slow machine. Fast machine recorder too much data.
Documents you use such action on must also have the same size and resolution as the document you recorded the action on. Quite a restriction.
You problem may also be foxed in CC 2014 sett here Photoshop CS6 - Recording the clone tool in an action gives incorrect results on replay.

It sounds like you could be having an issue with one of the microphones on your iPhone 5. Your iPhone 5 has three microphones that function together and separately, depending on what is using them.

Recording doesn't work since RAM Upgrade on WinXP x64 with Audi

Hello there,
I've been using my SB Audigy 4 (the usual version, not the pro version) for months in conjunction with WindowsXP Professional x64 SP2 by just using the drivers that can be downloaded from the web, "SBAX_WBUP2_LB_2_09_006.exe". Back then I didn't use the original CD because I thought it wouldn't support x64, which actually is incorrect . Everything worked fine. I then upgraded my memory from 4 GB to 8 GB. I am not sure whether the RAM update caused it or whether I did any other minor thing (this could involve BIOS updates or other software issues), but now I have the following issues:
) Recording doesn't work anymore at all: Things like VoiP (Skype, etc) or other recording doesn't work anymore, the indicator stays at 0 all the time. No matter whether the input source is the (WORKING) microphone, or the "what you hear" while playing music at maximum level. It simply refuses to record. Btw, I do have another partition that has Windows XP Pro 32bit installed, I can record with that one without problems. Using the same drivers that I mentioned above.
2) Rear speakers aren't working. What should come out of the rear speakers comes out of the front speakers instead.
I tried the following things to solve the problem, without success:
) Usual re-installation of the drivers
2) Following the guide "Uninstalling Sound Blaster Drivers and Applications" that involves the "Clean start" of Windows and removing WDM drivers using the Creative-Utility. I did install the original CD drivers afterwards instead of using the newer drivers from the web.
About recording there's another thing I can say: when I set the input source to the microphone and the I disable that the microphone output is muted, I can hear myself speaking.

Does the driver-dev team look into this forum from time to time ? I would like to contact the support, but I purchased the audigy longer than a year ago. And actually I am not the who one who doesn't know what to do, but I just found a bug in the drivers (well, the guys in the other thread did, but what it comes down to is that with capacities of > 4GB deactivate the possiblity to record anything at all).Message Edited by NameZero92 on 0-03-200804:20 PM

the result is that recorder record silence, no peak power, no avarage power.
i use xcode4 (ios inxcode4 is till 4.3, i have not downloaded the latest xcode)

i have solved but don't know why it stopped working.
the code above was putted in a singleton class loaded and initialized once at start of the app.
seems that records only one voice power then stops (even if i have controlled that recording=true, metering enabled=true ecc...in logs)
now i have putted the same code in a method of the singleton class and called that method from the file of the screen "ingame" and works...
mmm.......any ideas why it happens?

I know. Same issue here. When I'm not recording but have the video camera on, the autofocus works fine. As soon as I tap the record button and recording starts, the focus is locked until I tap on the screen to focus. I haven't used the camera all that much because of this problem.

Microphone doesn't work while recording video

Hi everyone. I have an iPhone 5, and yesterday while trying to make a Vine while using the front-facing/FaceTime camera, I discovered that it didn't pick up any sound. However if I switch to the main camera (the HD one on the back), audio picks up and can be heard. This is a problem when I'm recording regular video too. Microphone works with the back camera, doesn't work with the front. Is there any way to fix this?

My iPhone 4S fails and works exactly the same every time:
FAILS, with the phone on speaker, or with the camera recording video (front or back) no sound is captured.
WORKS, in all other situations and apps that I could think of that use the microphone such as
google, Voice Memo, Dragon Dictation, Vonage Extensions, Skype, and taking the phone OFF speaker holding the phone to my ear. And also select microphone key to voice input instead of typing whenever the keyboard is there (Mail, Notes, Reminders, Safari, Maps, google Maps, ...)
Based on that, my guess is it's not hardware.
I'm using a 4S (64GB) from Verizon. In the nearby Verizon store I was told to back it up, do a master reset (which wipes out the phone), and restore it from the backup. I called Verizon support today before doing this and got exactly the same instructions. That's what I did today and NOTHING GOT BETTER.
After reading several discussion boards I made sure that I was not blocking any of the holes (trying to be thorough). I do not use a cover.

I am having this problem too. I've never used QuickTime 10.2 (build 603) to do this, but when I try today, it doesn't work.
I launch QT, then choose "Record Screen" from the FILE menu. The black "record" window appears, but it is not clickable, nor does it do anything.
I can quit QT via the cmd-tab shortcut, but otherwise it is not selectable. odd.
To the devs: can this bug be fixed and a new QT installer generated... I am guessing that many of us would prefer not having to wait for an entire OS upgrade to have this fixed -- thanks!
(note: I have no special soundcard or any other mods to this MacBook Pro 13" running OSX10.8.5)

Try:

Inserting dynamic image doesn't work for range of records

Hi,
I'm using BI Publisher 5.6.3 and E-business Suite 12.1.3.
I have set up my RTF template so that it brings in a logo image dynamically onto an invoice.
The code in the "alt text" field behind my dummy image is: url:{concat('${OA_MEDIA}/',//CF_LOGO)}
The image is within a repeating loop that loops around the invoices chosen.
It works fine if I run the concurrent request for a single invoice - the correct logo image is shown.
However if I run the concurrent request for a range of invoices which should contain a mixture of both logos it doesn't work and prints the same logo for each invoice regardless of what it should be displaying.
For testing purposes I also output the name of the image, field CF_LOGO (which is calculated in a formula in the RDF file) just before the actual image, and this always displays the correct value even for a range of invoices. As you can see above this is the field that I include in the code to obtain the image.
Does anyone have any idea why a range of invoices will only display one logo image?
