Record Slideshow not recording full audio (Keynote 6.5)

Is anyone else having issues recording audio in Record Slideshow in Keynote 6?
I've tried four different times on two different machines... The audio seems to be present in the recorded slideshow right after I record it, but after I try to export using Quicktime the audio disappears after a few seconds. This has been incredibly frustrating.

I am having the same problem, ever since Yosemite. I record a slide show that is about 8 minutes long. It plays back fully in Keynote. I export the file to Quicktime, and the audio cuts out after maybe 30 seconds in the Quicktime file, although it varies. Then I go back to Keynote, and the same things happens - it cuts out after a few seconds, even though it played fine through when I played it earlier. I can never retrieve the audio again. I have tried this for two different presentations on two different machines. This is a valuable thing to be able to do - I would greatly appreciate a fix!    iMac (21.5-inch, Mid 2011) and iMac (27-inch, 2012)

  • Brutal error message OSStatus error 2003332927 Can not record video/audio

I have QT pro 7.6 and since a couple of weeks ago, I have been unable to record video or audio.
Any Ideas what this error code means and how I can fix it?
    thanks everyone!

    Hi there.
After further testing I have found that the reason I was receiving the Brutal Error, was because of my DigiDesign Core Audio Driver.
If I am using the MBox, and Digi Core Audio, (i.e Mbox I/O is active) Quicktime Pro will not record video/Audio.
If however I switch back to the Mac audio out (disconnect the MBox), Quicktime Pro works fine.
I havent had time to "fix" the problem in the Digi Core Audio, but this was the source of my Brutal Error Code.
    Hope this helps.

  • Metronome click recorded onto audio track , can not separate during playbac

I set the metronome for "click during recording only" and for some reason the metronome clicks on this audio track during playback as well. I am recording an audio track from a Kurzweil 2500sx keyboard.
    Please comment ?
    David

Well just hit "c" to turn it off or look for the Metronome symbol in your transport window and turn it off there.
Maybe the Click was recorded onto the Kurzweill track when you recorded it into Logic?

  • Recording Reason Audio NOT MIDI into Logic

How do I record the audio output from Reason into Logic?

    I found one way.
    Here it is:
    1. Record into Reason
    2. In Logic Set The Channel Of An Audio Object To Rewire Reason Mix L/R (or whatever)
    3. Bounce The Channel Inside Logic
    4. Import Bounce If It Isn't Already In Your Audio Window
this is caveman primitive because more time is spent bouncing then mixing but it works.

  • Audio out of sync with presentation (not using full motion)

When I preview or publish a project using Captivate 5, the audio is out of sync with the presentation. I am not using any full motion recording, which I know has caused audio/video sync issues in previous versions of Captivate. The audio is slide specific, with a separate audio file for each slide. (In other words, I'm not trying to break a large audio file over many slides.) When each slide is viewed individually -- in the workstation, in the preview window, or in the published version -- the audio is synced just fine. The problem arises only when I try to watch the entire presentation (approx. 10 minutes in length). The audio gradually lags behind the visual.  By about half way through the project, the visual presentation is noticably ahead of the audio. By the end, the audio is nearly 4 seconds behind the video. I cannot detect a noticeable change in pitch or speed of the audio, so if the audio is being altered in any way, the alteration is slight.
However, if I use the playback controls to advance to a single slide, the audio is fine for that slide and those immediately after, although it does gradually get off again as the project progresses. (So, for example, if I start the playback in the middle of the project, the audio will only be off by about 2 seconds by the end, rather than 4.)
I have tried various publishing options (although I don't think publishing is the problem, since this happens when I preview the project as well). I have used 2 different computers and also tried viewing the published version locally and streaming. None of these alterations seem to make a difference. By the end of the presentation, regardless of how the project is published or viewed, the audio is several seconds behind the video.
    My specs:
    Captivate 5
    Microsoft XP OS
    2 GB RAM
    Publishing to .swf
    Suggestions?

    Hi Mukul,
Thank you very much for your careful responses. Here are the answers to the questions.
First of all, the "slow video" behavior does appear only after adding the slides mentioned in previous post.
    1.    I created a “software simulation” project. It IS a capture+audio recording.
    2.    Since I recorded the audio while doing screen capture, almost every slide has audio, which is not convenient to edit at all. Is there any other better way that I missed so that we can keep the audio and video at the same step while editing them? As I know so far, either insert silence or delete a little audio to one slide, the audio becomes short, but the slide duration time is still the same as before unless we change that manually which normally is not precise enough to match the audio.
    3.    I tried to add the blank slides at where there is a pause of speaking and where they are close to the problem slides. Otherwise, the speaking would sound weird.
    4.    Published SWF file size is 20.6 MB.
    5.    I do have two externalized video files for title and end.
    6.    Unfortunately, it is still slow even if it played on a different system.
And another problem comes up these days. After publication, the screen resolution is not good (like some grey ink left on screen) wherever click or type something. It did not happen before even if worked on the same computer.
I am very sorry that there are so many problems. I have been working on this for long time. The project totally drove me nuts. Hopefully you have more ideas about that.
    I really appreciate your help.
    Sincerely,
    Linda

  • Recording 2 audio streams separately with iChat?

Is there a possibilty to record the iChat video chat with the 2 audio streams in separate files? (so one for the video, one for the microphone and one for the speaker)

    Hi,
No, the Audio is Full Duplex meaning that both ends can speak at once and be heard by the other.
The iChat Recording option records the Audio as Mono and combined from both ends.  (At least in versions prior to Lion - I have one Lion/iChat recording and it is listed as being in Stereo but again the Audio is from both ends).
SoundFlower may possibly be able to grab either the Local Audio (mic Input) or the Output (which is Buddy).
I have never used it and don't know if it can record two things at once.  (It seems to stop at the Leopard version)
Audio Highjack Pro (there is no NON Pro version any more) might provide another answer (but it will cost)

  • Recording lags, audio records choppy.

I'm recording with my Logitech USB mic. When I record I notice the bar lags and jumps a bit. When I stop recording the audio has little gaps here and there. When I play the audio it is completely choppy.
    Help?

Sorry Eric, yeah system info would help. I am running Adobe Audition 3 on Windows Vista Business Edition SP1. The computer has 2 250gb SATA drives that are both barely full at all (this is a pretty fresh install, re-installed cause I thought perhaps that was the problem). Computer has 2 gigs of ram, a Pentium 4 2.4ghz processor, an XFX GeForce 7600 GT 512 mb video card and an external USB Sound Blaster Audigy 2 NX 24bit Advanced HD sound card. I am a pretty heavy Adobe user and run Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Encore, and Illustrator all with no problems. Just Audition seems to be the only one causing me problems since I switched to Vista from XP. It just runs very poorly. Everything works smoothly until I either hit record or play. If I am actually messing with audio in any way everything slows down. If I am playing audio the location indicator scrolling across the audio will go, then stop, then go again, then jerk a bit, meanwhile the audio stops and goes and sounds a bit electronically "poppy" as well. When recording from either an input or from local sound on the computer it does the same thing. Slow, and jerky movement only recording bits and peices of the audio so that when I play back the recorded track, there are holes in the audio or skips where nothing recorded. I have never had this problem with XP before. Worked beautifully. FYI, the sound card works good. Have the newest drivers and all, a little ticked that full 5.1 EAX sound doesn't work with these cards in Vista because I'm a gamer as well. I work in IT at City Hall and have access to alot of sound cards and have tried many different ones in this computer in hopes of Audition working because perhaps my soundcard is the wrong one but to no avail. I always have the same problem. I realize using the "Audition Sound" Direct Audio mode isn't the best to use but none of the sound cards I have access to are ASIO cards. I heard about the recommended ASIO4ALL program about a month ago and thought I'd give that a try. I could never get it to work properly. It barely improved the performance of recording any audio and I could only play back the audio half the time for some reason. The other half Audition would lock up after I hit play and tell me the needed driver was not available or in use. That is pretty much where I am now, I'm just about to say, "Screw It" and go back to XP. It's a shame too because I've gotten to rather like Vista. The only thing at all I have had problems with so far with Vista are the audio features but perhaps Vista just doesn't work very well with Sound Blaster cards. Maybe I'll have to switch to a different brand. My only fear is I'll switch to a different brand and it won't work either. Hope this info helps. This is where I am at now. I don't particularly want to switch back to XP but if it's all I can do, then I guess I'll do it. I appreciate any help anyone can give though. And sorry about the book, just wanted to make sure I got it all in.

  • Want Keynotes' presenter's display to be NOT in full screen

    Hello,
I do live music shows on a Single MacBook Pro. Retina Display, Running 10.10.1
In my show I run Keynote for visuals (always on a secondary large TV via HDMI out) and I run Audio via MainStage from the Logic Suite.
I want to be able to exit work in MainStage, (switching songs, changing volumes etc.)  WITHOUT interrupting Keynotes Video display or pictures, text, videos etc.
    How can I do this.
The only way to play a slide show is to play it, and when it plays it automatically turns the presenter's display to full scree, thereby locking me out of access to MainStage, or any other software.
Any way to play a Keynote slide show NOT in full screen for the presenter's display????
    please help.

When Keynote is in play, no other applications will be seen as Keynote takes over complete control of the graphics system, if you switch from Keynote to another application, Keynote will be hidden. Keynote has always worked this way.
We use two Macs to be able to display Keynote and a second  application.

  • When I record an audio track, there is a waveform. When I stop recording, the waveform disappears and becomes a straight line. It also disappears from the track edit window. But the sound is there. How can I stop the waveform from disappearing?

When I record an audio track using Logic Pro X, there is a visible waveform which appears as I record. When I stop recording, the waveform disappears and becomes a straight line. It also disappears from the track edit window. But the sound is still there. How can I stop the waveform from disappearing? And can I do something to view it after it has disappeared? Anyone know the anser?

    In Logic:
    Preferences/Audio Set Recording Delay to 0 <zero>
This should always be set to zero unless a specific set of circumstances exist and you're audio drivers do not report position correctly.
On occasion, usually when importing a Logic 9 project, Logic-X randomly changes this to a negative/positive number.  It's actually a bug in Logic, as it should always display the waveform.

  • Recording live audio from a Bus

    Hey,
So what I'd like to do is record audio from a bus directly into an audio channel
I have a test oscillator in the input slot of an instrument channel
As you can see, the output is routed into bus 1
In order to process any audio that I have coming into bus 1, from any number of channels, I have bus one routed into an Aux channel, from which I can run any effects.  Aux 1 (w/ Bus 1 in the input slot) is routed to Bus 2 (Bus 1 w/ effects from Aux 1)
As I said earlier, I'd like to record the audio from a bus, in this case Bus 2, into an audio channel so that I've got a continuous audio file.  I figured the best way to do so was to create a record-enabled audio channel, with Bus 2 as the input, which I've done here
As the screenshot shows, the audio from Bus 2 is making it into the channel.
When I hit the record button, with "Audio 3", as the selected track no audio is recorded.
In other words, I can hear the audio, and I can run it through any processes, but I'm unable to record in a way that allows me to capture the live processing of the sound.
I tried googling the matter and some suggested bouncing the track the project, which should leave me with an audio file, in the bin, of the audio with any automated effects processing.  Logic's stopped responding, with the mini "bouncing" window on the screen both times I've tried to do this- I'm not sure if this is a seperate problem, which I'll have to deal with at another time or if it's related to what I'm triyng to do.
In any event, has anyone come across a way to route the audio that would allow me to record this audio live, without resorting to recording only the effects parameters and bouncing?

    Thanks CCT,
Checked the prefs and switched them to built in and it cleared it right up, but it did bring up another issue, because I don't remember ever switching it into the "none" position.
I'm working with a USB audio interface that I remove when not in use; possible that logic automatically reverts to "none" rather than "built-in" when I remove it, and can I make it so reverts directly to "built-in" when the interface is removed?

  • Cannot record Full Motion slides EVER

I recently upgraded to v.3 from 2 since I thought this would
take care of the bugs that plagued my Captivate 2 experience. While
they were annoying, I could still work around those issues
comfortably and get my work accomplished.
However after upgrading to v.3, I have not only been seeing
the same bugs as before, but now I am encountering a whole series
of new issues. My biggest problem is that I can't get Captivate to
    do FMR, ever:
    - It won't record full motion slides when I scroll a web page
    or drag and drop something.
    - It won't do it during demo mode even if I force it with F9
and F10 (I only end up with regular slide captures where the full
    motion slides should be).
    - If I put Captivate in Full Motion Recording mode, it
records a single plain slide, regardless of how long I ran the
    capture session for.
Any assistance you could provide would be greatly appreciated
as I am not having the best luck with your tech support helpdesk
(long hold times and dropped calls). We use Captivate exclusively
for our course development and getting this feature to work is
crucial to us. If I can't get this fixed - any way I can get a
    downgrade back to v.2?
    Thanks,
    Daniel

All, I have discovered the last Captivate update (which is
causing caption text formatting issues) is also responsible for my
issue with Full Motion Recording. I did not notice this at first
since Captivate updated almost immediately after my first reinstall
so I continued to observe the issue. The only solution I have found
is to reinstall the software and then delete the AdobeUpdater.dll
library file in the Captivate directory in the Program Files
folder, which forcibly disables the Adobe Updater - I haven't found
any other way to do this.
It's kind of frustrating since I will need to watch out for
the next update that will fix what was broken in the last one and
once that is out, reinstall the software to add back the updater. I
share the frustration that I see from many of the users here - most
of the "solutions" to Captivate issues that I read on this forum
are no more than hacks, and I wish that the software could just
work properly - that way, I wouldn't need to "fix" my issue with
the latest update through a hack like reinstalling and deleting the
    updater library.
Adobe, during future product design, please consider that
maybe your users would like the ability to disable updating when
you push out updates that break your own products.

I am trying to simply record a video but there is no options for recording system audio, therefore it will not recrod the sound. Is there anyway to do this?

    Hello,
    Welcome to Adobe Forums.
You have option of Audio Recording in Adobe Captivate while using Software Simulation or Video Demo (Captivate 6.0)
You can move the Microphone (For Audio Recording) closer to Computer's speaker.
