Record stop and domain "in recovery" status.
Hi,
We have a Sun Management Center 3.6.1 in solaris 10, it's install to monitoring the SF25K hardware, it's configure an action by sending an email, into Hardware->Platform Config Reader->Domain->Status.
Yesterday, the system generated 2 messages: "Status Domain E In Recovery".
The admin staff said to me that there was no problem with the domain.
In the alarm tab display a record stop event in that domain.When reviewing in the location where these archives are stored in the SC, there are two record stop generated in the same time to those messages were sent.
Somebody knows any troubleshooing to fix that?

You should ask Oracle support as you have already took their help. You should take offline backup before doing anything in this situation.
However command is not that difficult (Alter database datafile '......filename with path..' offline drop; ) but ask Oracle support before running it.

Recording stops and starts up again
So i was recording a gig and it would stop and start up again throughout
the event. I was not running anything else on my laptop but onlocation. My virus protection was turned
off since I was in a non-wifi location.
Here are my specs for my laptop.

on it except on location. I turned off the screen saver and virus
protection. There was no pattern of when it would glitch it would just do
it. Some a few seconds apart to a few minutes apart. Yes my disk very
defragmented which I always do after installing and uninstalling programs.
So I know everything was up to par at that time. I also have premiere pro
cs4 on it and it runs fine with no hiccups. Just on location does this. I
kind of notice at one time it seemed like it would hiccup when the audio
level dropped. But then again it would do it when someone was on the mic
talking too. So I'm clueless... and I believe its going to be very hard to
diagnose. -

I am trying to import video from my digital camera via firewire to quicktime...
the New movie recording screen appears and works, but after a random amount of time (normally just around 4 minutes..) the recording stops and the message appears..

please help.. I have spent 3 days trying to record the vid...
I cannot import via imovie because I want to have the sound come from a different source then the movie.. i.e. Quicktime lets me get vid from DV and sound from "saffire" sound card..

I was trying to get the iOS 8.2 on my iPhone 5 but then it stopped and my phone is now on recovery mode I have pictures I need and they did not all fit on iCloud how can I use the phone again with ALL my pictures and videos without restoring it?
Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service.
Pictures taken with the device are designed to regularly be copied off the device to a computer as would be done with any digital camera.
If you have failed to use the device as designed it may be too late to recovery anything.
Is the device regularly backed up to a computer via iTunes? If so, the most recent backup (when restored to a replacement iOS device) should contain all contacts and pictures as of when the backup was created. -

- Also tried to search / google best practices around stopping 'hanging stored procedures' and creating logics for such happening
Challenge:
I would like to implement simple solution for starting, stopping, restarting and maybe even getting status of stored procedures. Sounds like unix runlevels but in "userspace" without the sys rights.
Finally I would like to have this functionality in apex-application where predefines stored procedures could be started, restarted, stopped and maybe even status could be retrieved.
start - this is simple, start - but maybe check if such stored procedure is already started ( so this start will fail)
stop - send signal to certain procedure(s) that now it/they should exit immediately
restart - actually stop+start
status - maybe via status table indicating e.g. records_processed/records_to_be_processed
Mostly I need this stop so what would be the best way to write "exit" for stored procedure? I would like to avoid the following approach:

/paavoI think for stopping such a procedure you have only two sensible possibilities.
First option is to kill the session. For this you or the logic that does the kill needs the appropriate rights to do it.
Second option would be to programm this behaviour. The procedure can listen to a kind of signal and if it gets that signal it is stopped. This signal can be a value in a parameter table, but it can also be a message in some pipe/advanced queue. However this means the procedure will stop only at certain defined points (whenever it checks for the stop signal).
Btw: You didn't mention what is the business case behind that technical request. Maybe you can elaborate a little on that too. -
Several processes in SM50 show status as stopped and reason SLEEP
I have several batch jobs that are running and then sometime it shows up status "stopped" and Reason "SlEEP". There have been some slow DB writes but not sure what I can do about this.
Should I let them go and let them resolve themselves. Sometimes these jobs will cause performance issues.
Or do I delete cancel them to restart in the low usage periods.

Look a closer look at work proces trace file,
if you do not see any info desired....
increase the "TRACE LEVEL" of work process and chase for reason log in tracef file.
WORKPROCESS Trace info should give some clue / info to do a deep dive analyiss of your issue.
If you avail SAP Verion/ Kernel Version/ DB Version / OS Version ...
give more light to the signing in users to put their comments close to your issue.
We are sure, With Dibya reply itself, you would have got the reasons for the issue.

What is your system utlization during peakload to rate low usage periods.

Ok go to "Finder" preferences and make sure the "Hard disk" box is checked.
That will make your boot disk show up in the upper right corner. You can tell it's a boot disk because all the files will look like this instead of just being blank files. -
Half way through a recording it stops and I get a can't process message?
I forget exactly what the message says but it has something to do with the processing. The recording process stops and the message pops up.
Can somebody at least point me in the right direction in the manual or tell me what to do. Do I need to clear something out or up the memory or what?

So I was updating iPAD and while updating it stopped and gave me a typical error message but with error 4013. It worked fine before and is now stuck in the "connect to itunes mode" recovery mode. I have tried updating and no luck. I have even tried updating in DFU mode and no luck. Anyone git any solutions
Are you following these instructions?
Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to shut down.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then restore the device. -
M45 S355 recovery stops and goes to blank screen
I am trying to do a full system restore on an M45 S355 using the recovery disk.
It goes through the process, to the screen that says to remove all diskettes and disks from their drives and hit a key to continue.
So I remove the CD and hit a key. At that point, the hard drive stops, and it goes to a blank screen. The computer is still on, it just won't do anything else past this point.
If I turn the computer off using the power button and then turn it back on, I get the screen where I can choose safe mode, last good config, start windows normally, etc.
No matter which option I choose, it does the same thing -- hard drive stops and I get a blank screen.
Any ideas/suggestions?Try popping it on charge for 15 min and then pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds.

Thanks to all of you for reply, I started without reading any manual to modify host and domain name and after expending several hours finally decided to reinstall APS, with new installation forms runing ok but report server having problem if you see the status of report server in enterprise manager it shows green mark(if you want to stop it via EM it will not), if you check with Report Queue manager it says no report server with the given name,
if you check the report with GETSERVERINFO via browser it says
"REP-51002 Bind to report server AAAAA failed. some one have idea."
some one plz explain me how can I fix it.

When I re-boot my EX495, the Health indicator light comes up red. Pressing the status/recovery button causes the Health light to flash 1 Blue, 4 Red: Recovery Mode Failure. User manual says contact HP. HP says I'm out of warranty. Does anyone out there have a suggestion what I can do/try? Is it worth paying HP for tech support on the issue?

If you look at the DEV_w0 log you can see the work process are not comming you as they are not getting enough shared memory see this error message
" Can't find free space for Shared Memory (Size=720000 KB) "
Please review the parameter changes made by you in Instance profile before restart of instace. Check the values of these parameters and if you are not sure of the value changed by you undo the parameter changes made before the instace restart
Restart the instance again after these changes in instance profile. for now you can change the instace profile file from OS but don't forget to import this changed profile when instace is up
if you did not changed any Profile parameters, check the physical memory available. chance could you some hardware memory issue. get your os team to check.
Its a clear case of memory issue ..
