Record the internal sounds and not the external?

How can I record the audio that's currently playing on my iMac but NOT have it record noises external to the computer such as mouse clicks, breathing etc...
For example, if I wanted to record the audio of the text speaker, how do I do that? I'm currently trying to capture this with Quicktime but it's using the iMac's Internal Microphone and is therefore picking up external audio aswell?

Multiple means how many? If only 2 or 3, they could all be faulty. Try the headphones in some other device, to make sure they are OK. Or there could be something wrong with the headphone port.
Your iPad is still covered by the 1-year warranty so you should make a Genius appointment and have it looked at.
Another thing to try is to plug in the headphone jack a few times in succession to see if it frees up something inside the port.

GR/IR accounts are not dependent on Vendors, they are dependent on Materials, to be precise on Plant/Valclass.
You can post to 2 different GR/IR accounts if you set up 2 different classes. then it is possible.
For setting up the same. Go to T.code : OBYC, Transaction : WRX.
Here Setup different GR/IR accounts per val.class.

Record your voice using iPhone (for ringtone only 35 secs or under are valid), sync iPhone with iTunes.
In iTunes the recorded voice is listed under Music as some_numbers.m4a.
Right click on the item and choose Create AAC version.
Drag the converted voice onto the desktop.
Delete the voice copy in iTunes. (important step)
On desktop, rename the some_number.m4a to something_more_intelligent.m4r
Drag it back to iTunes and you will find it under Tones.
Now select it (for sync) and connect your iPhone, do a sync.
If everything works out, it will be in Settings > Sounds > Ringtone.
Now choose a contact you want to assign this ringtone, tap Edit and add the ringtone.

PS: is XMP a file format (= .XMP files) or a metadata format that can be embedded either in a .XMP sidecar file or in the RAW itself ?

appendRow() method just add temporal row. For add them to DB commitChanges() method should be used. So you can use appendRow() method several times, fill every new row and only then use commitChanges() method. In this case all new rows will be added to DB per one time.

IPod Touch (latest generation) internal sound malfunctioning/not working

Defective sound on my new (received June 23, 2011) iPod touch 64GB. The iPod Touch will play when an external speaker or earbuds are attached; however, the sound cannot be heard when the external speakers/earbuds are not attached. When the iPod is not attached to any external speakers or earbuds, at infrequent times a very faint, static-filled sound can be heard, but it fades out to nothing.
This is the latest generation of the iPod touch. I have not had it for one month yet! What gives??? I also have an iPhone 4 and iPad2.... I'm having no problems with them (so far).

Try to set it up "as new device" without using the latest backup and only the default apps installed. If still no sound after that, visit your next Apple Store or contact Apple to get it serviced.

My recorded footage without sound will not play, but will when recorded with sound, any ideas?

I have recorded alot of footage on a digital Harinezumi 3 camera and have run into a problem in post production.
Some of the footage is recorded with sound, and plays fine. However, with most of the footage, i chose to turn the recording of sound off. These files without sound will not play in any player, even when Perian is installed.
These are the specs of the video I have been able to find out.
File type: .AVI
Video Stream: JPEG
This is all I can find out, so I am thinking it is an M-JPEG file rendered as an AVI file. VLC player says it can not play the video or audio format 'undf', whatever that means. Another player says it needs a .moov encoder, but I do not see how this is possible. I have also tried attaching audio to it via Logic 9 with no success.
I am at a loss, and I really need this footage for a project. Any ideas?

Accessed the file at dropbox. Played the DropBox "display" file in scripted player, played the same resource file using the Safari plug-in, and then downloaded the resource file using the QT 7 Pro "Open URL" option only to learn that this file was an H.264 transcode and not your original file. Used the DropBox download option to download the original Motion JPEG file in AVI file container. File plays as is in both QT X v10.2 and QT 7 v7.6.6 players under Mountain Lion v10.8.4 on my system.
Motion JPEG is one of the "lagacy" codec components turned off under Lion and which remains turned off under Mountain Lion. However, as I understand it, Motion JPEG files are supposed to be passively supported (playback supported) under these systems but requires the codec to be turned back on if you wish to export files using this codec. I turned both Motion JPEG and Motion PNG codecs back on quite a while back and have Perian installed which, as you can see, supplied the OpenDML version of the Motion JPEG codec component to actually play your file on my system. Unfortunately, since QT uses a LIFO codec component list generation strategy, I would have to remove Perian to test whether or not the system configured Motion JPEG component would then become the active decoder. (Did this a year or two ago but not willing to do so again at this time.)
Suffice it to say, the file should play in QT on your Mountain Lion system assuming the correct version of Perian is installed, it is actually active, and you have no conflicting software or hardware installed on your system. Have posted an MOV file containing your Motion JPEG video data in case you want to see if it will play correctly on your system.

Upgrading my intel iMac to internal SSD and running 1TB external drive from firewire 800 for mass storage while still using a second external drive for backups...my goal-speed with a SSD, to still have 1TB of room for everything i have now..possible?

I seem to kill HD's every two years...the last two i've installed were WD Caviar Black 1TB 7200rpm 3.5" drives. The speed gains over stock drives have been remarkable. I don't blame the drives for the failures, my machines are up and running 16 hours a day, every day, year round. They die from 'mileage' so to speak...i assume...there's no viral acvtivity or questionable downloads to gunk things up...just lots of work.
I have my third new drive ready to install in my intel based iMac...but i've had a thought...I want to install a SSD in my iMac for the speed gain (and recent price drops)...for standard storage i want to use this new WD Caviar Black 1TB in an external drive bay and connect via firewire 800 for storing everything except the OS and my most commonly used software...am i crazy? will the firewire 800 external drive negate the speed gained with an internal SSD??
I have four iMacs in my office, and one at home. I buy second hand and install new drives and boost memory. I'm going to do this on my 'home' machine...if it works out well i want to upgrade the other three this way...but first i need to know if i'm just dreaming, or will it really make a difference? or even possible??

The SSD gives great bootup and Application launch speed. I think it also speeds up the video rendering a bit, I do all that on the SSD and then move the finished project to the external drives. As far as the speed for the external drives they are quick enough for viewing video and the file transfer rate is good. I had initially put the SSD into an external cradle (FW800) and the system was faster than on the internal drive. I only got a 1.5GBs SATA drive, perhaps yours could benefit from the 3GBs. I know the 6GBs would be too fast and costs a lot more, even the MacPros need special hookups to make use of the 6GBs.

Seeded LOV in OA Page works on internal server, does not in external server

I am using the appraisal creation page '/oracle/apps/per/selfservice/appraisals/webui/MASetupDetailsPG'. Here we have a LOV that lists the appraisal template.
The LOV returns records when Pressing 'Go' from the LOV Search page while accessing from internal server.
However, while performing the same steps from external server, on clicking 'Go' , we get 'No Search Conducted'. ideally , we'll expect the records to come up (or) no results match the chosen criteria. However in this case, it simply gives 'No Search Conducted'.
The 'About this Page' on LOV Page does not show the VO/AM details from external server.
I have checked the following:
1. Class path is same while accessing from both external and internal server
2. Page personalisations are fairly starightforward, just prompts,instruction text changes etc
3. There is no VO/AM customisation. This was done by checking jdr_utils from apps. i suppose this is just application-wide and cannot be checked at server level. pls validate my statement.
4. I have tried 'Diagnostics' using 'About this Page'. It works internally and gives the LOV query with bind parameters. However when I try to do 'Diagnostics'-->Show log on Screen, the screen just hangs before i can see the 'log Level' list on the screen. So I am unable to take trace even from external server.
5. Few other LOVs work from external server. But this one does not.
What could be the cause and how do i debug further?

As far as I know, if he does what you suggest he won't be able to resolve the "main" domainname.
The internal DNS will think it is the SOA for the "whole" domainname, including subdomain or not, and woun't ask any other DNS. So he needs to add all public IPs/names in his DNS if using the same domainname.
Delegation of a subdomain, this requires both DNS using public IPs:

I guess this is "wishful thinking":
IF he (most likely woun't happen) could/be allowed to do zone transfers from a DNS hosting the "main" domainname and run that zone as a slave/secondary on his internal DNS it should work. It wouldn't be ugly if it can be done without adding his internal DNS IP as a NS record. I don't know about notifying the slave about changes to the main domain then though.

System preferences -Sound does not see external USB speakers

The computer internal speakers are working OK but the problems come when I try to use external USB speakers. The previous volume problem of the imnternal speakers resolved itself.
I have now purchased a new USB set of speakers (BOSE Companion 20) but now they will only work through the "headphone" slot at the rear of my Imac and then only thru one speaker.(right)
I have reset the PRAM - anyway I followed all the instructions and it was not solved.
In "Sounds" in system preferences the Imac cannot see the USB speakers - it only recognises the internal speakers for output.
I think until "sounds" recognises the USB Speakers I will not get both speakers working.
I insert the USB speaker wiring pin in the Headphones slot at the back of the Imac and as mentioned sound only comes thru the right USB speaker -nothing works when I put the pin in the speakers slot alongside the Headphones slot.
Any help apprecaited

Write incorrect record to Unix file and not load to PSA

Is there anyway to write an incorrect record to a file from the transfer rules, such as if the record is not found after a search through one of the master data table, it should not load to the PSA but write to a UNIX file? What would be the ABAP code?

Hi Will,
Transfer rules are processed after data are loaded to PSA. So you can only avoid that records are updated to info providers and write them to a file on your application server.
If you really want to manipulate records in PSA you need to load required data to PSA within a process chain and to add a report that deletes the records from PSA and writes them to a file.
The steps are
1. Transfer rules
     1.create a start routine
     2.load required masterdata to an internal table
     3.loop at datapak
     4.delete records according to conditions
     5.append records to an internal table
     6.load file from internal table
2. PSA
     1..Create a report
     2. Load PSA request into an intenal table
     3.load required masterdata to an internal table
     4. loop at internal PSA
     5 .delete records according to conditions
     6.append records to an internal table
     7.load file from internal table

Remove Internal HD and mount as external? Possible?

Hey folks- thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
I am retiring a G4 that is no longer starting up and has a busted optical drive. I'll be working primarily on my new MacBook.
I would like to remove the internal hard drive from the G4 and mount it in an external case so I can access the files. Is this possible? If so, any guidance or suggestions would be most appreciated.

Get an external housing. Firewire would be best, however, since you have USB 2.0, USB would also work (but a bit slower).
