Recorded HDR, Want to Export 4:3

Hi
I am setting up a project for the first time, doing a corporate video for a
relative's company.
Shot the footage using a Sony Handycam HDR
Footage is mt2s format, (no prob importing into Premiere, got codec)
1920x1080x32
I have done a test import using hdr preset with those dimensions, but is that the right way to go?
Or is that only if I want those settings as the final product?
Little confused, all the export tutorials I watched only skirt the issue and
go into all the wonderful formats available.
But what if I shot in widescreen hdr and want to out put to tv
What is best method?
Prob is once, you set Premiere one way, only way to reset is to recreate project,
Have I done it right or wrong so far?
Should I have set the project up as 4:3 regardless of initial capture footage, or should I set it to footage and then export differently?
I want to be sure I don't end up with distorted perspective, and I figured like Sony Vegas, somewhere along the way I could edit my framesizes and zooms in the software.
Haven't even see how to do that yet except for in effects.
Is there no way to drag to view in the project preview window?
THANKS

Did you try using an SD Preset Project and importing the files into that project.
If they play nicely in the timeline. 'Scale' them down to either full vertical height (Centre frame extraction) or full horizontal width (Bars top and bottom).
It this works I would suggest you edited in a native project then exported it to an SD Project. Quicker and easier.
(For the record. I do this with 720p original files that I need as SD exports.)

  • HT3775 What the maximum time for quicktime video if you want to export it?

What is the maximum time I can record a video clip on iphone 3gs that I want to export to macbook pro?

The duration of the recording would be based on how much free space available.
On the iPhone go to Settings / General / About to see the available memory.

I am using Iphoto 11 ver 9.4.3 on mac using oxs 10.8.5 i want to export calendar projects to an external hard drive. my goal is to store them in an external hard drive so it doesn't use up memory on the mac hard drive. is it possible to copy the specific projects without copying the entire library? what is the easiest way to do this? i have tried export and import but it didn't seem to work.

    What do you not understand?
You can duplicate the iPhoto library (command - D ) and delete everything except the project and its photos from the copy and move that
    Or
However the calendar takes very little space - it is simpy database entries - it is the photos in the calendar that take space - and for most people you would wnat to keep those photos in your library
you can use a photo in 50 calendars and it still is only one photo in your library - as I explained calenders do not exist as such - they are simply database entries telling iPhotop how to display the calendar - they take almost no space at all

  • I have created an extensive slideshow w/music on my MacBook Pro iPhoto. How do I export a slideshow so that I can burn a DVD from it? "Help" does not offer info for this request, only if you want to export to another Apple device.   Help!!!

I have created a lengthy slideshow with music on my MacBook Pro under Iphoto.   What steps do I need to take in order to burn a DVD copy of this slideshow?     "Help" does not offer info for this transaction, only if you want to export to another Apple device and it shows that you must first export to Itunes.  Can anyone help me with information on just copying to a DVD?  I don't want to email it or show it on another Apple device.  I want to be able to burn multiple copies on DVDs as a gift......    Can it be done?   I'm not real computer savvy

Connect the device to the computer.
In iTunes, select the content desired to sync.
    Sync.
This is all described in the User's Guide, reading it may be a good place to start.

  • QuickTime movie in Keynote 3 want to export Keynote as QT

So I have a Keynote presentation. It is mostly images but 3 slides play small Quicktime movies. Interviews I did on DV, converted to 320x240 using Sorenson V3 and IMA 4:1 audio. In Keynote 3.0, they now have controls. They play great.
But I need to export the presentation so others can use it without keynote.
The only option seems to be exporting it as as a Quicktime movie.
Actually, with trial and error, the Quicktimes in the Quicktime play great. BUT are missing controls!
So anyone viewing the interactive Quicktime from a CD-R has no choice but to watch each clip. Longest is 17 minutes so a pause or stop is an option that is needed.
Does anyone know how to get those QT controls (or at least stop or pause) into the movie inside the exported interactive Quicktime from Keynote?
Is there a 3rd party solution? I'm desperate.
Alternatively, if anyone knows how to do same but as a Flash file, that would be fine too.
This was problem in Keynote 2.0 as well. My presentation size is big enough.
Considering the convergence of audio and video all over Apple product line, I just don't get why this was not considered for the 3.0 update. I want to export my lectures for students to self run. I'm probably not the only university professor who shows video and would like Apple to deal with this ASAP.

If you have Qt Pro, you can open the file and turn on a controller, then resave the file.

  • I want to export all the screen text in a long video to a text doc

I want to export all the screen text in a long video to a text document. Is there a way to do that without copying and pasting each item?

Fortunately, I still have the project ready at hand, so I can cut and paste each text window from there, but I do admire the creativity of your approach. I thought about making the desired document as a collection of still images without the video track removed, but I decided that would be too cumbersome for this purpose.
It still seems to me that there ought to be a way to access the text resident in FCP and turn it into a text file, but maybe this will have to written into the program as a feature. Probably, it would not be a high priority among all the other tasks on the wish list.
Thanks for your help. If I learn something interesting, I will post it for the benefit of others who might want do what I want to do now. Off I go now to cut and paste!

  • I want to export a group of photos from iphoto.

I want to export a group of photos from iphoto. I want them to stay in the same order that I put them in. So far when I export, the photos sort according to date or name. I want them to stay in manual sort the way I set them up in the album.
I also want to import them in that order to another program. I am going to try to import them into Final Cut Pro 7. I still want them in the sorted order.
    Can this be done?
    jibetack

So, in other words, it can't be done. Once the photos are exported they lose the order I had them in in iphoto.
    Not at all
typically the easiest way it to export from iPhoto using the sequential file name option and then view in alpha order
    and
What is a better software to organize and sift through photos than iphoto?
None as far as I am concerned - that is strictly a personal decision that you have to make for yourself - Only you know what features you want - no one else does

Aperture has the ability to work with files in their existing location. They are called "referenced masters." When you import images, you should select the "In their current location" in the "Store Files:" drop down box. Have a read of the documentation for full specifics. Unsure how you can resolve your duplication; might be some work but next time have a read of the manual first
Information for versions is stored in the Aperture database (library file). The masters can be inside the library file itself, or they can be somewhere else.

  • I want to export the data of journals

I want to export journals to a file .jaf using the API of Enterprise 5,1 for Visual BASIC 6

If there is a problem with defining it globaly, you can define a field symbol globably and point to it. For example.  It would probably be better to define your table globably.
    report zrich_0003 .
    field-symbols: <imarc> type marc_upl_tt.
    start-of-selection.
      perform get_data.
    *       FORM get_data                                                 *
    form get_data.
data: imarc type table of marc with header line.
select * from marc into table imarc up to 10 rows.
      assign imarc[] to <imarc>.
      perform write_data.
    endform.
    *       FORM write_data                                               *
    form write_data.
      data: xmarc type marc.
      loop at <imarc> into xmarc.
        write: / xmarc-matnr, xmarc-werks.
      endloop.
    endform.

  • I want to export the history

I want to export my history to another file, how can I don't that??

hello, per default firefox is storing the history together with the bookmarks in a database/file named places.sqlite inside the [[Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data|profile folder]]. you'd have to backup this file you want to restore your history on another firefox installation.
if you just want to save your history in a "readable" form (&don't want to import it in another instance of firefox), you could use an addon like https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/history-export/.

  • I want to export with alpha channel using a codec that carries less data than gopro cineform

Hi--I want to export some intermediate files with an alpha channel. i'm using gopro cineform, and these files end up being so large, meaning that i have to sit through hour long renders.  is there a a codec i can use that has an alpha chanel but creates a smaller file size?
    thanks

Thanks for your help Patrick. I tell ya, I can't believe what's going on. As I said, this project until today has not caused me any issues what-so-ever. The other six sessions are totally fine. I also created a quick project with the same settings added text - then exported using the same settings I've used before, and it exports with the proper alpha channel.
Yet, I rebooted the Mac, made sure to delete old versions in the trash can and everything. Still, no alpha.
To keep moving forward, I literally had to use a color key in FCP to cut out the background color.
    Crazy!

i used stationery in mail, but now i want to export that email to pages OR print it out without the email headers printing out.  any solutions?

    Hello carolsuz,
I was researching ways you might be able to save that email to a picture or export it and found this little gem in the iPhone Users Guide, found here: http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf about how to take a screenshot.
Its on page 12 toward the middle:
Take a screenshot: Press and release the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time. The screenshot is added to your Camera Roll album.
    Take care,
    Sterling
