Recording Cisco phones registered on CUCM 8.6 with Verint Impact 360 not working.

Hello,
We're trying to record audio from Cisco IP phones registered to a CUCM 8.6 using SPAN and Verint Impact 360 with no success.
Verint provided us with some information to do the integration but we understand we don't need to do much on Cisco side besides configuring SPAN session to monitor the traffic we want.
We configured the following SPAN session:
monitor session 2 source interface Gi1/0/1 - 48
monitor session 2 source interface Gi2/0/1 - 47
monitor session 2 destination interface Gi2/0/48
Verint Impact 360 NIC is connected on port Gi2/0/48 but no RTP traffic is being detected.
Phones are connected to ports 1/0/5 and 1/0/6, this is a two 3750E switches stack. The configuration on the ports is:

Vlan 176 is the voice vlan we're using. Wireshark will see SCCP traffic but nothing else.
Does anybody have any tips or recommendations we could try?

    Your warranty is only good in the US where you bought the phone. You will need to contact Apple Support in the US to arrange to return your phone to the US for repair. You should also inquire as to whether they will be able to return the phone to you in India.

    um..pretty simple solution. when you bought this iphone its obviously still linked to the old sim which is probably a UK carrier. you need to contact whoever you bought it from and get them to pay the fee to use this phone on a saudi arabian sim.

    Yes, if you have been backing up on a regular basis.
    If this is your first time backing up, then no.
    you can check edit - preference - backup - see what is listed

    the customer has CUCM in the inventory database of LMS 4.1. He has all accesses from LMS to CUCM. One phone 7961 is seen in the UT report.   • Authenticating cisco phones via EAP-TLS by LSC with Radiator

    On a post from 4 years ago (https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/10952961/8021x-phone-authentication-eap-tls-mic-only) I read that someone managed to work authenticate phones via EAP-TLS without ACS, but rather using a Radiator server. They authenticated by MIC on each phone. I was wondering if anyone knows whether or not it's possible to do so by LSC, and if so how is it different than by MIC?

    I think the default EAP-TLS session timeout is zero sec. Enter the maximum number of seconds you want the client to remain connected to the network access device before having to reauthenticate in the Session TImeout field. If you enter a number greater than 0, the lesser of this value and the remaining resumption limit is sent in a Session-Limit attribute to the RADIUS client on the RADIUS Access-Accept response.
    If you enter 0, a Session-Limit attribute is not generated directly. A 0 does not prevent the authentication methods that perform secondary authorization from providing a value.
    Entering a value such as 600 (10 minutes) does not necessarily cause a full reauthentication to occur every 10 minutes. You can configure the resumption limit to make most reauthentications fast and computationally efficient.

    Hello this is my first post on cisco support and hope I can get some help. I recently purchased the book CISCO CCENT / CCNA ICND1 by wendell odom and when I used the CD to install the Pearson Practice exams, it does not work. I tried everything! It even asks for a activation code, which on the CD It says "Refer to the Activation Code Included in the DVD Sleeve when Registering Pearson IT Certification Practice Test Software"I don't see anything related to a Activation Code anywhere on the CD OR on the sleeve! So now I can't use that.
               The Network simulator Wendell odom uses in his videos is already outdated it seems and I can't get mine to work. Why? Because I bought this book in hopes of this being a beginner book and praying the person won't skip information to actually set up the book. So now the videos are useless because I can't connect because I have no idea how...
              The Network Simulator lite, wow 3/3 When giving me software to use. The Prompt command does not work, Only the enter key will work but when I try to put in a password I can't hit anything else but enter.
                 I hope I can get help from a more official member as to seeing how I bought this book and I can read but whats really the point if I don't have the hands on training?

    When I ordered my books for the ICND1 and ICND2, they came with a CD in the back pocket (sleeve) of the book. Along with the CD was a thick piece of paper that had the activation code on it. It was a white, square piece of paper with big black print on it. Did you buy your book used? Was the CD sealed in the back pocket?

  • Cisco/IPsec VPN built-in service of 10.6.1 does not work!

    Hello,
    I have been using for a while in Leopard (10.5) the Cisco VPN client delivered by Cisco company until I upgrade to Snow Leopard (10.6.1) which comes with a native built-in Cisco VPN client and I gave it a try in order to replace my dedicated Cisco app.
    I set up the Cisco VPN service in System Preferences > Network with the same settings than those used in the Cisco client but the connection fails when it is launched from the 10.6 network VPN service... while it works perfect when launched from the Cisco app itself.
    I need to activate a VPN connection in order to connect from home to my enterprise server and I have to respect the VPN settings the network administrator of my enterprise put in place.
    Those are very common:
    1. Host name
    2. Group name + Group password
    3. Domain name\Userid + User password
    4. RSA pass code (random code provided by a specific RSA keyfob)
    5. Transport is IPsec over UDP
    According to my testings, I would say that:
    1. The connection to the host is OK.
    2. The validation of the group name + group psw is OK.
    3. The validation of the userid + user psw is OK.
    4. The RSA pass code is rejected.
    According to my enterprise network engineer's investigations, the possible reasons of the connection failure could be:
    1. the UDP protocol is not (well) supported by the client service.
    2. and/or the extended authentification phase (aka "Xauth") is not working as it should.
    As far as I can see in other VPN clients, there is usually an option to select whether the transport is run over TCP or over UDP. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find such option in 10.6.
    In my opinion, it could be either a bug or an (undesired) limitation of the Apple VPN service. In both cases, it requires a quick fix from Apple as, for time being, this issue prevents me and many of us connecting to our enterprise servers when we are far from its local network.

    Thank you for your answers which confirm the limitation of the Apple VPN solution to the TCP transport only.
    I have to say that I do not understand such a decision from Apple since the UDP protocol is very common in the enterprise world.
    I will thus have to rely on the Cisco app itself. Is the version 4.9.01 (0080) the correct one for SL as well?

    Thanks for the question. I understand that you are experiencing issues with your iPhone 4. To completely isolate the issue, you may want to follow these steps:
    Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
    1. Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
    2. Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion.
    Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
    3. Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
    4. After at least 15 minutes, if:
                   - The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen. Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
                   - The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
                   - Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
    5. If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
                   - If the display turns on, go to step 4.
                   - If the display remains black, go to next step.
    6. Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
    7. If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
    My issue is still not resolved. What do I do next?

  • Contact phone numbers with ext. numbers will not work from old phone

    When trying to use a contact number with an ext. the phone will say I do not have long distance nor international dialing on my plan.My previous phone was a LG Dare which allowed for the number to be dialed and the ext was then dialed after a release button was pressed. Any thoughts?

    You can enter your contact number in your phonebook/contacts with a comma or two between the number and extension.  A comma should wait 2 seconds and then dial the extension, 2 commas 4  seconds, etc

    Or you can try a ; (semi-colon) to pause and ask for you to dial an extension.  I don't know if this works on a GS3 or not

    I have the same problem with Voice Navigation.
    The route is displayed but will not go into navigation mode or give voice instructions.
    Is there a setting the needs to be made to enable this.
