I have read your post on how you are looking to record from an analogue input using recording software. I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
Are you recording audio with an analogue device while your internal microphone is still enabled in the sound manager? Is a howl sound made when you are recording with only the built-in microphone? In the meantime, I recommend following the steps in this document on Resolving microphone problems (Windows 8), which should help enable your system to record a better quality of audio.
Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, as well as the requested information above. I look forward to your reply!

  • Best way to record from analogue camcorder

I have just purchased a TV@nywhere Master card with MSIPVS.  My main aim is to transfer my analogue 8mm video tapes into digital format.  I am currently running MSIPVS on an 800mhz P3 and the quality is OK but I had hoped for better.  I have chosen the 'best' setting for recording which uses Mpeg-2 I think and a total bitrate of about 550.  I would like to try to improve the quality, when I try PAL or NTSC DVD quality instead of the default then the video is very jerky and unusable.
    1.  Can anyone suggest how to optimize my video recording (capture) quality so that I know I am getting as good a result as possible?
    2.  I also have a 2.4 Ghz Pentium 4 which I could use, I had originally  thought that the card would provide the high quality video, would using the much faster machine make a difference?
I would appreciate an answer from anyone who has knowledge of these issues.
    Thanks,
    Conley (Cape Town, South Africa)

The jerkiness sounds like you're dropping frames on recording (capturing) due to a computer that is too slow. Also if you want quality video you have to go to MPEG2, bit rate of at least 4000 kilobits per second (500 kilobytes per second)

  • Recording from line in and built in mic simultaneously?

This might be more iMac hardware specific, but as it would be pertinent to GB I thought I'd ask here.
I'm getting my feet wet with the program, and I have GB setup to record an instrument through the 1/8th jack plugged into the back of my iMac - but I'd also like to record some vocals at the same time through the integrated microphone. I figured that the stereo input was the microphone jack, and the mono inputs were for the integrated mic - but this doesn't seem to be the case.
Can the mac record from both inputs simultaneously? Or do I need to go out and get a USB/Bluetooth/something else mic? It's starting to look like even though they are technically different inputs, only one can be active at a time. As it stands, I'm left swapping between one and the other and recording instrument and vocals on separate takes, which is less than ideal.

I'd seen this posted to a similar question, but either I'm blind or doing something completely wrong. In my midi/audio screen (from GB> Preferences > Audio/Midi) I see no such option. Searched the '08 help for anything remotely close to "aggregate device" provides no topics.
Am I looking in the wrong place? Has this feature been renamed in GB '08?

  • Recording from input jack

can GB record analog and convert to AIFF using the input jack hooked up to (analog) tape deck? I've hooked up the deck and get a meter reading in Preferences , but don't know which program to record it with. If not GB is there another?

You can use GB to record from your tape deck - make sure you select the line-in as the audio input in GB!

Otherwise, there's a lot of freeware or shareware audio editors available that are better suited for that purpose (and less confusing for the beginner):

  • Fetch records from Database based on Input value

    Hi Experts,
In my mobile application, I have designed one input field with F4 help or input assist. I need to fetch records from database based on that input and need to display records in table.
    My question is:
How to fetch the records from database/back end based on the input value and display them as table format as we are doing in SAP ABAP?
Here, I need to fetch the records based on input value available in the UI screen and pass that value to gateway, fetch the records from database and need to bind with table in SAPUI5.
Kindly share the whole process flow with sample code for this requirement. Hope I have explained the requirement in detail.
    Thanks In Advance..
    Regards,
    Arindam Samanta.

    Hi,
    Try something like this.
In this, I am passing From date, To date, RelGrp, RelStr, Uname as input. Then I am storing those values in variables and passing this data in Odata request.
    OData.read({ requestUri: "http://xxxx:8000/sap/opu/odata/sap/Z188_PO_SRV/pos?$filter=Docdate le datetime'"
+ todateformat+"T00:00:00' and Docdate ge datetime'"
                    + fromdateformat+"T00:00:00' and RelGrp eq '"
                    + relcode +"'and RelStr eq '"
                    + relstg +"'and Uname eq '"
                    + username+ "' "},
      function (data) {
    console.log(data);
When we are giving correct inputs it will goes to Success function and get the data from back end.
In console we can see the data.
Hope this will helps to you.
    Thanks&Regards

  • FM FOR CREATING NEW CONDITION RECORDS FROM INPUT FILE

    Hello vikas,
I need to develop a interface program FOR CREATING NEW CONDITION RECORDS FROM INPUT FILE.
Is there ay function module to update or create the condtion records,
if u have any example interface program to update conditions records please send me.

This must be your compiler output.
Basically, it is telling you two things that are wrong - in syntax.
    1. On line number 11 of the file RationalCollection1.java, the compiler expects a type identifier - that would be the object or return type such as int, String, boolean, etc.
The reason it is doing this is probably due to your not ending a previous statement - like the "expected ';'" error statement. Check your code, make sure that methods (brackets) are closed correctly and there are no open statements (i.e. missing the semi-colen at the end).
    2. On line number 33 of the file RationalCollection1.java, the compiler expected the closing bracket. Thus, you didn't put the bracket where the compiler wants it.
It appears that you have skipped some lines of code. Those lines are the problem, post them - post lines 30-36 and 9-15 so we can see what is happening around those error lines.

  • X-Fi Elite Pro - Recording from the Phono Input Prob

    Kit:?
    Vista x64
    4GB Ram
    Q6600
    X38 Mobo
    X-Fi Elite Pro
Audio is taken via?Digital Output (not the optical one) from the External box to a Sony Cinema Amp.
Have installed using the Vista X-Fi CD and updated to the July 2008 drivers.
    Problem:
Unable to record from the Phono input on the external breakout box, in fact only the Line-In on the actual card seems to work, but when recording via the Creative Entertainment Console the recording has what sounds like reverb applied to it. Recording via Vista's Sound Recorder produces a clean sound but is in WMA and very low quality.
    Other Obvious Problems:
Have to manually select the Input port via Vista's Sounds Panel, by setting the required input as 'default device'.
Headphone socket on the external box doesn't anything coming out of it.
    Question:?
Has anyone sucessfully recorded via the Phono input on an Elite Pro under Vista x64, and if so how
    Thanks.
Message Edited by 0idsjagf on 08-07-2008 2:56 PM

Huhu, right-click onto the window where all devices like microphone or speaker output are listet (record, playback) (Controlpanel " sound") Then you have the option to enable "show deactivated devices" maybe then the phono input is available to your needs.

  • How to plot two analogue inputs from a DAQ device against eachother on an XY graph

I am trying to separate data I am acquiring from two analogue inputs on my NI USB-6009 in order to plot them againt one another on an XY graph. I have tried setting up two DAQ assistants on the block diagram, one acquiring data from ai0 and the other from ai1. I tried to wire these to the X input and Y input respectively and running in a while loop but Error -50103 shows up.
I've read through a few discussion threads and have found that you should acquire the data from both analogue inputs thorugh one DAQ assistant, useing index arrays to split the data and wire to the X input and Y input of the XY graph, but I cannot figure out how to do this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It's pretty trivial to use a single DAQ Assistant. When you create one, you are given the option for multiple channels and shown how to select them. Once created with a single channel, you simply open the assistant and click on the Add button. After the acquisition, you use the spilt signal function if you stick with the evil dynamic data.

  • Cannot hear sound from audio input untill I press record?

Is there a quicker step, without having to press record first, to get audio from your input devise?
    Cheers.

I assume your talking about a real instrument... if your going through an audio interface, also, adjust your (mixer knob) on the interface, it could be turned down... works for me.

  • Recording from minidisc to Logic pro 7 via an fa-66

Hi, I'm having issues recording from a sony minidisc deck through my edirol fa-66 to my macbook. I've tried the various anologue inputs on the fa66, the 1/4 jacks and the RCA inputs on the back. With the anologue it's sounds fine until I arm the track to record, then it starts jumping and phasing. Same with the optical input, I press the "Digital sync" on the fa-66, without the "R" record armed it sounds fine, when I arm it the sound starts jumping and a message comes up "saying sample rate not recognised- Sample rate 3674"
The minidisc was recorded from a PA at I assume the satndard rate for mnidisc players of 4100Khz.

If you are using the Digital input (SPDIF) to record from MiniDisc then you are correct that it is 44.1Khz, but are you ensuring that the SPDIF input is set as the master clock? You will need to ensure that is so whilst you record digitally from it.
I can't fanthom why you might be have a problem recording from the analogue outs though. The phasing sound you describe sounds like you are hearing the original sound plus the slightly delayed sound due to software monitoring perhaps?

  • Recording from minidisc to creative player with an x

I tried recording from my?minidisc onto my computer with the x-fi card, through the line-in and mic jacks. When I stop recording and turn off the source, I still have the record volume showing some input even though nothing is on. I?even?tried disconnecting the minidisc from the input jack but the player is still showing some input. This is causing my recording to have a steady interrupting noise every quarter of a second or so. Any ideas where to search for this mysterious input or how to get around this problem.Louis?

  • Problem when recording from the AUX phono output using creative x-fi elite

Hello everyone?Hopefully someone will be able to help me out here, as I've tried everything, however nothing seems to work. I am using the x-fi elite pro on a windows vista ultimate PC. When recording analogue material, from a tape Dec, for instance, I am using the creative audio console which accompanies the x-fi elite pro. I am using the aux phono input on the back of the box, and everything has gone smoothly until a few days ago. When trying to record from my tape Dec this last week, I suddenly noticed that the sound was very distauted in the left channel. Right channel was fine.Of course the first thing I checked was the level, and this was absolutely fine too, both channels were set to around 50% in the sound-options control-panel. I then checked the cable and then tried it on other equipment as well, and everything was also fine here. I then re-connected it to the audio consul, but got the same results. Fine sounding audio in the right channel, but distauted in the left. I then tryed re-installing the newest vista-driver to see if this would solve my problem, however it didn't. Now I've only got audio in the right channel, but no audio at all in the left. Has somebody inhere experienced anything simurlar, and if yes, can you please tell me what could be wrong??All the best from Allan

On certain mobo/graphics card set ups and some sound cards there is an issue with bus latency. In short while playing back audio you will hear a frequent crackling of the audio. That is not the same as the slight click the Elite pro makes when changing modes. It has been a Creative issue for many years but is only present with certain combinations of hardware. I have experienced that issue myself but several years ago. My current Elite Pro/PC set up does not have this issue.
