Recording from DAT using SB Conn

Long time ago I have recorded DAT tapes using my Denon DTR 2000. I used digital recording from CD for that.Now I am considering using SB Connect for burning CD's (DAT?is such an old stuff?don't want to loose my recordings). Anyone has tried anything like that? Any problem with SCMS?

Which input on the back of the card did you use? The Line-in is the stereo input. Ensure that you have the cable fully inserted on both ends. Also check with another source such as a CD player or personal radio. This will tell you if the tape player may be sending only the left, or if the input jack is failing.

I was wondering if there's a way to extract records from a text file using regular expressions matching groups in Endeca Integrator.
I have several XML files and I have mapped and extracted records from them using XML Reader component, but I need to preserve the tags of mapped elements. For example, if I have the following XML:
<Msg><Para>Some text. <Emphasis>More text</Emphasis><Para></Msg>
mapping Msg element to an output cloverField will return "Some text. More text". I need to preserve tags, so I need an output like: "<Msg><Para>Some text. <Emphasis>More text</Emphasis><Para></Msg>",
I don't know if there's a way to accomplish this by modifying the setting of the XML Reader component, but I was thinking of using regular expressions to solve this. Unfortunately, I can't find a way to do it by using the built-in components in Integrator.
The final solution is do it programmatically without using Integrator, but I want to know if I'm missing something.

Record entry date - using system date as default not working

Hi,
I have a form which allow users to enter the information... I want to have a field to save the date when they've updated the record...
in order to accomplish the above, here is what I did:
1) I created an item on the form (put the source as table_column that I am using to save the record entry date on the table)...
2) In the Default field I put "sysdate" to capture the current date...
3) I made the item "Display only" so that no one should be able to change it...
so far so good... when my users open the form they see current date populated in the form...
my challenge is that when user saves the form, everything that they enter saves except for the "record modification date"... Not sure if it's due to date format or something else causing it, the date format on my form is DD-MON-YY and seems like the format on my table is DD/MM/YYYY... if it's the date formatting issue then please advice how to fix it...

Hi,
Default value only used when item value is null. So when you fetch the from it gets the value from database column and omit the default value. I use trigger to store audit information i.e. create date, username etc.
Here is an example if you want to use -
The following trigger will capture the date and username and store into the table.

Creation of Q-Info record from data in exel sheet published in cfolder

Can any body help to give solution to create Q-Info Record from the data published in exel sheet under collaboration folder.
This we require for triggering the event for creation of Q-Info from the data available in cfolder in exel sheet which will be furnished by the user who can access organisation's network i.e. R3 network.

My objective is to create/change Q-Info Record through event trigger mechanish from the input data submitted by the vendor in excel sheet input format in cfolder.Details of steps are as follows:-
1. Input data from the organisation like PO No. Item no, Material Code and all probable vendor code with details of vendor like address, city will be published in the cfolder in excel sheet. This sheet will be availble to vendor as Input data.\
2. Input data will be updated by the vendor in following manner
A- Material code of PO, Vendor code(Manufacturer code), Drawing No agreed between Organisation and vendor.
3. System will pick up the data updated in excel sheet and will trigger the event for creation of Q-Info which will check first existence of the Record, if exists then system will change the record.
How can I do this? Can any body help me.

My requirement is to populate last 10 transfer order items confirmed from LTAP. as the table is too large there is no point to fetch all the records and filter them...

Problem when recording the data using BDC for Tcode CJ02.

Dear Experts,
When i am trying to record the data for TCODE : CJ02 i need to enter the project Definition and enter the WBS element it takes me to the screen then i should select the WBS element and attach a file for that selected WBS element . The option for me to attach the attachment of file will be available on the application area(Services for the Object).
Now the problem when i try to do recording in SHDB this option like create attachement is not visible in the recodring . Kindly suggest me what can i do such that i attach the file for the particular project def and WBS element.
Either suggest any function module or other procedure .......

in BDC each and every action is recording. If your press enter in same screen that also recorded once aging may be this is your case repeating field values will appear. we can solve the problem for repeat fields like below.
suppose in your excel having repeated field X1 X2 X3 the X2 contains repeated field X3 means delete the X3 field.
Now In your itab having X1 and X2 fields. While in the LOOP the ITAB pass the X2 field to repeated the fields.
LOOP at ITAB to WA.
CLEAR bdcdata_wa.
bdcdata_wa-fnam = 'BDC_CURSOR'.
bdcdata_wa-fval = 'RM08M-EBELN'.
APPEND bdcdata_wa TO bdcdata_tab.
CLEAR bdcdata_wa.
bdcdata_wa-fnam = 'INVFO-BLDAT'.
bdcdata_wa-fval = wa-X2." 1st time pass the X2 fields
APPEND bdcdata_wa TO bdcdata_tab.
CLEAR bdcdata_wa.
bdcdata_wa-fnam = 'INVFO-BLDAT'.
bdcdata_wa-fval = wa-X2." pass the same value to repeated field

Unable to fetch 50,000 records from SQL using Orchestrator

There is no problem with the SQL query because I can able to get 40,000 records..

which contain data like

from these i want to fetch only 01, 02 and 03 records...
i.e i want all the records that is in numbers only in key field of ztable
can you guide me how to get tis?

Recording records from stero using gb

i was able to record the record succesfully from my stereo to my computer but i'm having trouble breaking down the album into multiple tracks. Right now when i put it into my itunes it shows as one 30 minute track instead of 13. any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks

first, to make multiple tracks, you would want to make multiple songs. so when you have the entire sound file, go and click the button with the scissors and the wave in the bottow left corner. then go to the part of the large track where you want to slice it up. then, in th window at the bottom where the sound waves are magnified, then select the track in the bottom window, by holding down, and select from where you want the first track to end, to the begining. then click the selected part, and it becomes its own track. then copy that new track, open a new song, and paste it in the new song. that should work forall the parts.
Is this clear enough?

How to handle the failed records from the table when using DB Adapter

Hi,
I am reading some records from table using DB Adapter inside my synchronous BPEL process. Say like reading 100 records from table in between after successful reading of 90 records an error occured in 91st record due some various reasons(like DB down, Connection interrupted etc.). Then how to handle this situation, whether i have to read all the records from the begining and is there any option to continue from where it stopped reading.
Can please anybody help me out in the regard?

we had the same requirement some time ago and had two option:
1. ask the R/3 development team add a deletion indicator in the table (and thus not actually deleting the record). this deletion indicator could then be used like for any other standard datasource
this option was however refused, due to huge data volume after a while
2. at the end of the load we copied the ZTABLE1 to ZTABLE2. then in the begin of the load (day after) we compare the data of table1 to table2. entries available in table2 but not in table1 are deleted, and we put a 'D'. in deletion indicator; as we only keep the deleted entries for one day, the volume of the new table is acceptable.

Delete blank records from the cube

Hello;
We just upgraded from 3.5 to 7.0. When we started running our queries for the Inventory cube, we were getting an error message of "Error: The validity interval has the initial value as lower limit".
When I checked the cube, I found records that were blank, such as no dates, plants, etc.. I then tried to see if I can delete those records, but I cannot find a way to do this. Can someone tell me how to delete the blank records or any records from the cube directly? When I run the queries from the ODS, I do not get any errors at this time.
Any information, suggestions or HELP is greatly appreciated.

Hello Maximina,
You could try writing in some code that would delete the records which have some fields as blank in the start routine of the transformation that connects the ODS to the cube . So that the next time you load data from the ODS to the cube .. they would stay deleted .

Select record from database table

how to select a record from data-base table for current month in module-pool, i.e if current month is august then records selected should between 1/08/10 to 31/08/10.
And, i also want to select records for last month i.e if current month is august then records selected should be between 1/07/10 to 31/07/10.
And one thing more, it should work for every scenario. Like for months are changing then it should work according to that.
Example: If month changes to October then current month ll be October and last month ll become September.
Plz help me out.

This is the SAP Documentation for ORDER BY option.

Notes
Since views do not have a primary key, specifying ORDER BY PRIMARY KEY only makes sense with database tables. If, however, you do specify ORDER BY PRIMARY KEY with a view, all fields of the view are sorted in ascending order.
Variant 2
ORDER BY f1 ... fn
Effect
Sorts the selected records in ascending order by the specified column references f1 ... fn. If a list is also specified in the SELECT clause, the column references f1, ..., fn must appear in this list.
By supplementing the statement with DESCENDING, you can sort in descending order using any of the fields f1, ..., fn.
The default sort sequence is ascending order, but you can make this explicit by adding the addition ASCENDING.
Consider this code this will select the latest 10 records form DB table(Note can use Variant 2 for DB tables also.
