Recording input help

I would like to record my wife singing on one trrack and her quitar on another track. What extra hardware would I need to do this in Garageband? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You have a couple of routes depending on your plans ... what you plan to do with these recordings, what kind of quality you want, and what your budget is.
You could buy an interface that offers 2 Mic Preamps:

Or since your iMac has a Line-In, you could get an inexpensive mixer and plug that into your mac. Something like the Behringer UB802 Eurorack UB802 Mixer for about $50.

F4 input help on Variable screen is not working on Portal

Dear Experts,
We are facing one issue when we run the WAD report on portal, variable screen gets hang after clicking on input help button (F4) for couple of variables. We are facing same issues when we run the base queries on portal. But when we run the same base queries in RSRT (Tcode) or in BEx Analyzer we are not facing this issue and able to get the input help screen with values.
I also have gone through some old posts related to such issues but didn't help much. We are already on SAP BW 7.4 SP Level 008 and for Char IO Query Filter Value setting is kept as "Values in Master Data Table" only. This is a MD IO with Compounding.
Kindly let me know if anyone has faced such issue.

Dear Martin,
There is a no long running work process in the backend and data volume is more in Master Data Table, there are around 19 Lacks records available.
For BI Java patch and defaultTrace for errors I will check it with BASIS Admin team. Unfortunately I don’t have rights to do same.

How can I do this input help in the Input ready query

Do you konw this function?
The following steps is that:
1,I create the Input ready Query.
2,I can insert the new record.
3,I can use the input help for the characteristics.
4,When I double the space, I got the pop-up for input help.
5,I want to get the function is that:
for example:
char1 is the char2 attribute.
char2 - - - - - - - -- - char1
m- - - - - -- -- - - - -a
n-- - - - -- - - - - - a
u- - - - -- - - - - - - -a
v- - - - - - - - - - - -b
w- - - - - - - -- - - -b
x- - - - - - - - - - - - b
when I write the "a" for the char1 in the new record at input ready query, I only want to got "m","n","u" for char2 from the char2 input help.
How can do it?

Hello Leon,
As you have already set char1 as an attribute of char2, what you would need to do is create an attribute variable for char2 of type exit.
Using a variable exit, you can pass the value of char1 to char2. This would then automatically restrict the selection list to "m", "n", "u" as values for char2 when you enter "a" as the value for char1.

Table Contents - Input help

Hi all,
When I view table contents by giving a specific value to one of its field as selection criterion, it is found that some records exist for that value.
But instead of viewing contents directly, if I click on the input help for the same table field, the above mentioned value doesn't appear in the help list.
What is the reason for this ?

Yes, I had found that TKA01 is the required table.
However, surprisingly, the table TKA01 does not contain record for the controlling area value, which I am looking for in search help of CSKS table. And its search help list is also identical to that of CSKS.
Does this mean that -
1) some KOKRS search values are manually 'added' somewhere ?
2) some other table than TKA01 is being referred ?

Cannot see the default input help values in the preview mode ALDesigner P&F

Hi experts,
I'm currently implementing a HCM PROCESS FORM process.
I'm wondering why I'm not able to see the default input help of a dropdown UI ISR element in the Preview mode within adobe live cycle designer.
I have linked my field with SAP-PA backend-service through Form Scenario.
Within adobe live cycle designer, in the Binding tab page and then Element Values, I entered the following value in the Objects field: $record.sap-vhlist.<Field
name>\.DATA\.FIELD.item[*], whereby <Field name> is the name of the form field. but cannot see any values...?
Could you provide me any help, advices on that.

Hi
You can do that in two ways.
One is from PA services provided by SAP. Other one is you care create a Generic service to load the values.
1. In HRASR_DT tcode select the process and create the backend service for SAP_PA and add the field Employee group (PERSG ) by choosing IT 0001 and screen element then select the Input Help and check the box for PA service .
2. Create a backend service and create the BADI and inside that do the logic to load the Employee group from FM and bind the value to the field.
Please refer the Enhancement Implementation HRASR00_USER_NAME for the sample. Class CL_HRASR00_GS_USER_NAME.

Recording input

Hi,
Trying to' record a mic or a bass into Logic, via M-audio 410, very low sound gets in.
The signal level on the 410 is loud enough (it almost clips sometimes), but the audio in Logic channel strip is still low. And as a conseguence, the audio file is a very thin line, barely audible.
Using front connection on the 410, the "I" (record input monitoring) is on. Don't know what else to do.
I know the solution should be' easily out there, but maybe you can save me some time (do I need a pre-amp?)
Any help would be' appreciate.

I just went through the procedure to do a recording from a sound source in your amplifier; it looks as follows:
a) start garageband;
b) in the screen: click "create a new project";
( you might have to do that under "file-> ...")
c) give it a title, and select the folder where to store it, then hit "create";
d) I get then a track "grand piano" plus a little "grand Piano" screen. Close the little screen.
e) Track -> "new Basic Track"; - this creates a second track
f) click the "Grand piano" track, then "Track" -> "Delete Track";
g) go to "control", verify that "Metronome" is not checked, click to disable it;
h) "Track"->"Track Info"; set the volume, put the monitor off or on; I also disable echo and Reverb.
i) go to "System Preferences", click the sound panel, click "output", make sure you have the internal speakers (if you use earphones, they are switched off automaically). Then click "input" and choose either "Micro" (if you want to record your own voice - it's a not so good micro, anyway) or "line in" if you want to record from your stereo amplifier; then adjust "input level", and don't mute the output volume...
k) then hit the red button at the lower left band to start the recording.
l) to stop, you hit the red button again, and/or the right-arrow button (play/stop)
You can experiment with it, the help-facility is quite good.
You can export the file directly to iTune and burn it then as cd.

How to implement the input help at web for the input ready query?

Dear all,
As you konw when we create the input ready query for Planning, we can insert the new record for plan with Analyzer tool. We also can use input help(double clike the space) for input the master data.
I want to konw when I use Web Appliaction Designer to run the query at the web, How can I use the input help for planning data.
My customer request me must implement the input help function at web.

Error while adding a custom field with Input help via AET

Hi All,
I need to add two custom field under Service orders at Item level in component BT140I_SRVP.
One field is required to have the input search help f4 and autopopulates the second field
I am able to add one field(not requiring help) successfully through AET .
I have created one Zsearch_help in se11 and its successfully running and Autopopulating seocnd field while I am testing it
While adding second field through AET,I need to enter following details as -
field label,search relevant ,serach help etc.
When I type the name of my 'Zsearch_help' against field search help it gives me following error
'Search help is not compatible'.
Secondly,not getting getter and setter methods for the attrributes in BTAdminI.
Last,please tell me if i create zhelp and activate it,would it automatically appear in the list on AETwhile assiging it to input field?
Please help me out.Kindly be detailed as I am new to SAP CRM.

I defaulted input help field (pick list) but SAP CRM still asking for one

We are running SAP CRM 7.0.
Some fields as you know are dialog / pick list fields.
What I mean by this is they are input help fields where you
can click a little square (in sap crm 7.0) to the right of the text box
and it brings up a dialog screen of values that you can select from.
Here is an example screen shot of what I am talking about:

So what I have done is implemented the GETTER function for this input help field so that by default it has a value.
The code is like so:

The method works great it sets the default of the currency to say USD. When I click the create button to create an opportunity the field currency is set to USD, this is great because it makes my job easier that I dont have to click the input help button and select a currency, it is already there.
But once I click the "Save" button for an opportunity I get a small error in the error notification box that tells me I need to select a currency! But why is this happening a currency already exists? So If I click the input help (the little button) and reselect the currency value USD then save my opportunity this error goes away.
The question is why does this happen? I need it so that the default currency value is recognized by the SAP CRM system. Why do I have to go back in and re-select the currency if it is already set? Is there some sort of consistency check or something I need to do to eliminate this problem?
Here is a screen shot after creating an opportunity with the default Currency set to USD (this means I did not select USD in the dialog input help it was defaulted by the getter method:

Only if I go back into edit mode and actually click the little square to bring up the dialog of values and select USD does this error go away. Why does this happen ?

I called SET_CURRENCY right after setting my value and the error is now gone.
SET_CURRENCY( EXPORTING ATTRIBUTE_PATH = ATTRIBUTE_PATH
                iterator = iterator
                value = value ).

Then, i use it as search help (F4 function) for an input field in another WDP component.
I would like to use the same " search help component " for many input fields.
In this purpose, I would like to pass a parameter to specify the caller input field.
So, do you know a way to pass parameters to "the search help component" ?

How to hide values in F4 input help

Hi firends,
I have a requirement to hide the values from F4 input help. In tcode F110, when I press F4 in Identification field then i will get the F4 help value for identification for which payment run is already done. I want to hide that data in F4 help and i don't want to delete it from table. Is it possible??

System is not showing in dropdown list for input help

hi,
I am using one data service in iview and i have dragged an input form.I want to add input help in it.
Now my problem is that: When i am trying to select system for input help it is not showing any system in dropdown list.
Can anybody help me to solve this.

if the System is not Mapped to VC User it will not appear in the Dropdown list.
So do the Usermapping for that system useing System alias.
Do you know how to do Usermapping?

Input help for a selection screen field

I have a selection screen with field species and checkoff activity .
For a given species('sc','sb' or 'ss') , the input values allowed for the
check off activity must be 'SCCK' for species 'SC' ,'SBCK' for species 'SB' and so on.
I need to provide input help for check off activity based on the value of the species.How do i do that?

PARAMETER : p_val(10) TYPE c ,

Standard input help in zreport selection screen

Hi All,
   I am having a selection sceen like S_PERNR FOR PA0001-PERNR.
   when I put f4 help then it is comming right and showing the value
of personnel number which is correct.
   But when you execute the transaction PA30 and select f4 help in
personnel number then it iscomming with window and all information
is cooming. I want to put that help on my selection screnn S_PERNR FOR PA0001-PERNR.
is it possible? Please give me the solution.

Problem with Input help inside an adobe interactive forms

Hi Experts,
I'm currently implementing a Webdynpro ABAP application containing a Interactive forms.
I'm using Adobe Live Cycle Designer 8.0, Acrobat reader 9.2, Internet Explorer 7.0
My problem is that when I click on the "input help" button inside the adobe form, he automatically refresh all the forms UI element with their initial values. Is-it a refresh event included when we pressed the "Input help" button or an other event? How Can I deactivate that action, event?
Because since he automatically refresh my form data I loose the context current values.

strange, but you could compare the version of the zci scripting
in your form in the hierarchy tab there are variables and the ContainerFoundation_JS script --> the first line
