Recording MBP soundcard output

Hi all
I'm a recent convert from Sound Forge on XP. I used to record DVD audio by playing the DVD and setting the sound card record settings to be the sound card output, then start DVD and start recording in Sound Forge. How do I do this in SP2 without getting a cable from the output to the line input? Thanks in advance.

Ah, indeed you perhaps do have what it takes to be an Audio Hijacker!
This is one great program and if you're really serious do yourself a favor and cough up the shareware price for Audio Hijack Pro - you seriously won't regret it. Quite a few STP users know of this Rogue Amoeba gem. And the reason why you want pro: it allows you to use plugins that you have from STP for instance.
So when you want to avoid aliasing you take a couple of your decent low pass filters from STP and plug them into Audio Hijack Pro and boom like that!
If you're serious about this kind of stuff it serve you well to gain a thorough understanding of the whole Sampling Theorem referenced earlier (I learned from trial and error and it was not pretty).

How to get the record selected in ztable based record in the output of alv

Hi All,
I have developed a report, it is displaying the output in ALV format.The list contained some 20 fields along with MATERIAL and BATCH. I have provided menu bar as extras -> ztable(it also contained MATERIAL and BATCH). But I have some issue when I select any record in the output then go to
path extras -> ztable, it has to select the record in ztable based MATERIAL and BATCH which i have selected in the output, then can you please provide solution for the above problem.

you can do this by,
data: index_rows type lvc_t_row,
      index like line of index_rows.
* Get Selected rows from alv grid
clear index_rows. refresh index_rows.
"When you choose extras->ztable
call method alv_grid->get_selected_rows
           importing
                 et_index_rows = index_rows.
* Now delete those rows from the ALV grid
loop at index_rows into index.
    read table itab index index-index. "Lets say itab is the table you are displaying
    if sy-subrc = 0.
     perform bdc_sm30. "do simple bdc for sm30 with tab name and selected values
    endif.
endloop.

I think i have got the question rightly interpreted.
All you want is to maintain condition records for picking ouptut ... correct ?
You can do it through transaction<b> VP01SHP</b> ....(dont try to find it in easy access..atleast I could not locate it)
Under TCD VP01SHP > V4 you will be able to maintain condition records for all condition types that have been configured for picking.

MBP Sound Output

hi everyone,
i'm considering getting one of the current "core 2 duo" macbook pro computers, most likely the 2.33ghz 15" one. i use my computer mostly for pro audio work, recording and performing live.
currently i'm using a g4 titanium powerbook with a digigram pcmcia vxpocket as my soundcard for live and mobile work. i have a digidesign digi002 interface too, but this is much too large to travel with.
since the macbook pro doesn't have a pcmcia slot any longer, can someone recommend another very portable solution for my sound input/output?
the built-in sound output on my titanium g4 has always been terribly noisy. how are these combined optical digital/analogue outputs on the macbook pro's?
how have people's general experiences with these latest apple portables been?

I use my 2.16 core2 for audio, as well. While I normally use a MOTU 896 for all audio functions, right now I'm listening to streaming radio...the audio out jack is doing the work, feeding a Mackie 1402 into a pair of TAPCO S5 powered monitors, and the sound is VERY good. I mean, surprisingly good.

How to get RECORD data in output parameter of stored procedure

I would like to return some data through RECORD structure from stored procedure.
I have defined the RECORD as below:

How can I get the output result, and convert it to an ENTITY by Toplink?

I'm not sure it is possible to get the PL/SQL record type through JDBC. Please try to access this procedure through JDBC to see if it is possible.
You may need to convert the record type, to an object-type, i.e. wrap the procedure in another procedure that converts the record type. You could also just wrap the procedure in another that expands the record values into individual output parameters.

I have a G5 power PC dual 2ghz 10.5.8 and my recording interface stopped outputting. I used 2 different interfaces and changed cables, neither solved my problem. With everything plugged up i can hear playback through the internal speaker.

I have tried System preferences, input and output. I have tried the midi controls in utilities. With everything hooked up correctly I cannot get the interface to playback through the box or record now. When i hit play I can hear the playback coming through the internal speaker on the tower. The interface previously worked fine, bought a second one and it is doing the same thing. Must be a system issue. Please help!

Is there a plug-in for Logic Pro that records all live output to disk?

Hi, I noticed Digidesign have a plug in called Flashback which literally records up to 15 minutes of the master audio output for all those 'happy accidents' or when you miss recording a genius solo because it was just a run-through. Is there anything like this for Logic? thanks, Chris

right click on transport bar, select "Customize Transport Bar ...", select "Capture Recording" checkbox.
If you're in cycle mode and playing on an input enabled track, this button will capture the last time through the cycle and place it on the timeline as if you'd been recording with the little red light on. Works for audio and midi.

I have posting date which user enters on selection screen.
Now this posting date I need to compare with clearing date
and if clearing date is NULL or greater than posting date
it should display the records.

Recording forms session -output file specification?

In Oracle applications you can set the value of ICX Forms Launcher to have the parameter "&record=FILE" and the session will then record the form activity to the file you provided (directory depends on your apps version).
Now there are tools out there to manipulate this file for setting up repetitive data loads however they don't quite meet our needs in one way or another and also the licencing costs for many users can be high. I would therefore like to write a bespoke process that manipulates this file.
I have gained a pretty good understanding of it just by recording different forms sessions and seeing how the file changes, what actions cause various entries in the record file etc.
What I woudl really like though is some kind of technical document which describes the output in this file. Ie, what fields are possible in what column position, just so I don't miss anything out.
I've searched high and low, done a search in Metalink etc and turned up nothing.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

What OS is running on your PC? I'm having the same issue with a Windows 7 PC, but not with a Windows XP PC.
What I think is happening is that after you hit "Stop" there's a process called "iTutorCleanup" that's run to post-process the .sim file. On a Windows XP machine I can see this running, and I end up with a working .sim file afterwards. I suspect on a Windows 7 PC this cleanup process is failing and that is why the .sim file disappears.
I'm still playing with compatibility mode settings, but haven't found anything yet that makes it all work. If anyone has any suggestions I'd be very grateful!

How do I record a numeric output values and then use them?

So at the moment I just have a numeric value being display with a numeric indicator. I want to record this value somewhere for later use. Such as doing calculations. I want to store many numeric values that are outputed to this single indicator at different times and then pull them from the stored place and use them. I don't know much about arrays and storage stuctures in labview. Can someone give me some directions please? Thanks

So there isn't really anything related to the question yet in may code.
My code shows movement control for a motor.
I have a forwards button which increments +1 for every iteration of the loop. Each loop sends a pulse to the motor to move it.
I have a backwards button which increments -1 for every iteration of the loop. In this loop i have just placed the direction pulse which tells the motor to turn the oposite way.
these increments add onto a counter which is shown as the numerical indicator, used to show the position of the motor.
I also have a reset button on this motor. To change the position to zero.
So now what i want is to put the value of the position of the motor into an array which will then stay at that value in the array even when the position moves again. So i can record different positions.
I then want to use these values. so i want to know how to get them from the array to the Number of iterations for a For loop so i can move the motor by that amount.
Your help is appriciated, ive already spent so much time getting to this stage.

Syndicator:Restricting Number of records in a output file

Is there any mechanism by which i could restrict the number of records syndicated to a single output file ?.
Currently the only option seems to be output all records(matching certain criteria) or a single record to XML file/s.

You can restrict the search based on the search parameters.
If you want to syndiacte all the data in single XML file the in destination items tab ,
Step 1. Need to select the "Repetable XML Node" for the Main node.
Step 2. In Item Mapping tab Map the Main Table with main node for which you have set the indicator in Step 1.

PC soundcard output's division with Y-adapter - possible? & does it affect the sound quali

Does the quality of the signal, quality of sound or power of the signal weaken in anyway if I split one of the soundcard's 3,5mm (/8'') output for two speakers with an 3,5mm Y-adapter?The soundcard is X-Fi ExtremeMusic and speakers connected are S750 Gigaworks. I have an extra set of those speakers and I thought if I'd connect another S750 main unit to get a double subwoofer. I have no intention of connection any of the satellites to the second S750, so just a second sub and it's divided channel signal from the soundcard. I'd be connecting the Y-adapter to the speaker-end of the cable which comes from the soundcard. The cable is?Creative's modified 3x3,5mm/4x3,5mm 7.-cable, aprox. ,8m in length, but I also do have?an Creative's DDTS-00 decoder in between the soundcard and the S750 unit, so make it two times ,8 meters?and in the middle of?those two a?decoder's?separate source switchbox, which is used to alternate the signal to the speakers either from the soundcard or from the external decoder. The central cemetary in Helsinki was an serene experience to visit late in the evening, covered in beautiful waves of lit candles in an otherwise pitch blackness. But here we have a two identical systems to connect, a two S750 main unit. So naturally their impedance values should be identical. As I understand you, the both?would have an?excactly the same?noticeable or mediocre decreasal in the?level of sound volume, or strength of the signal. As the quality of the sound is a huge priority to me, that clearly rules out the useage of such Y-adapter. Right?Is there any other method? Would two X-Fi's run simultaneusly on one PC, both being acti've at a same time sending the identical signals through outputs?

Recording and soud output

I'm having troubles hearing my recording. I've seen many posts in this forums about "no sound" topics but I didn't find a solution to my problem yet, so my post. I have the impression Logic is using the same audio unit for output than for input.
I've been using the configuration wizard to setup my external audio unit, a digital preamp (on which I can connect a mic or a guitar) connected by USB to the Mac. The setup has selected one input and two outputs. However I don't want Logic to use these outputs, but the internal outputs of my Mac.
I've got an audio object, which I used for recording, configured to use CoreAudio as peripheral, "Track 1" as track, "Output 1-2" as output. These outputs seem to be those of my external audio unit, but this is not what I want, I want the internal Mac outputs. I've has a look at the environment window but without much success.
