RECORDING MIXTAPE FROM RECORD

Im having sooo many problems. First I recorded 2 tracks and now they cant be found in the mix. I didnt get the chance to save.. I looked in the undo history.. I dont know what happen I just know it has a space in the mix where the track was at...
Second.. I used the scissors to clip a piece I of the track I wanted to delete.. Everything was fine until when I opened up the program to see that for every slice I took that saaaaaame track was there layer on top of layer and it was off a bit.. So I had to reedit everything that did edit the night before.. Is my save not working?
I was using 4 tracks to record the mix.. should I just let each new song go on a new track?

each song should have it's own .lso file/session/project.
label everything before recording.
the 2 tracks are probably gone, but try looking in the song/project folder - play via quicktime.
the undo history doesn't register this stuff.
are there "greyed out" regions or just a space? if the latter logic hasn't remembered you recorded them.
second, if these clips were originally one long files of takes, yes logic can screw the entry points.
cut the files and save. also after cutting use "save regions as new audio files" command.
that, at least will separate thrm physically.

RFC connection error in recording eCATT from Solman

Hello,
I am trying to record eCATT from Solution Manager into our DEV box. I have set-up the RFC connection and tested them.
When trying to recording I got the following message:
"RFC error ThControl: illegal sap_dext call !!!/ connection"

A nice tool for ripping and demuxing the audio part off a DVD is OSex.
You will get ac3 track - convert them with mAC3dec. http://sourceforge.net/projects/mac3dec

Try this:
1. Connect the Line IN jack on your player to the line output of an external stereo source, such as a CD or MiniDisc player, using the supplied line-in cable.
2. Press the Back/Options .You may need to do this more than once until the main menu appears.
3. Select Extra button to start a line-in encoding.
5. On your external stereo source, start playing the song you want to encode.
6. While encoding, you can press and hold the Back/Options button and select one of the following items:
Pauses the encoding. You can also pause the encoding by pressing the Play/Pause button.
Stops and saves the encoding. You can also stop the encoding by pressing the Record
Split Ends and saves current recording session, and begins a new one.
7. Press the Record button to end the line-in recording. The recorded track is named LINE followed by the date and time of the recordin YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS<. For example, if you record a track on March 5, 2004 at 2:57 pm, the track is named LINE
This information can also be found in your user's guide, it's a .chm file found in your installation cd.

Was it backed up ? If it was - restore from backup (of course, everything else will be restored too).
If it wasn't - you have no way to get it.

If an info record has no price conditions itself then the price is determined from the last PO.
It is not always table A017, there are more tables for conditions to the info record, e.g. A018 and A025, this is dependent on the level of your info record which can be created at plant level or at purchasing organization level (no plant entered), with or without material number.

Recording audio from device on server

I have some really nice audio recording gear hooked up to my computer, and I got a neat idea. I want to turn my PC into a web server and serve a flash application from it that allows a user to record audio from MY hardware (basically record the output of a mic hooked up to the "server") and then download the resulting audio file to his or her computer. Is this possible to do using a single flash application? I'm sure I could send commands to a C application on the "server" that would do the recording, but I'm wondering if there is a more simple solution. Also, monitoring the audio while it is being recorded would be nice.

The issue I see with iTalk and similar iPod apps is that the iPod has no line-level input, so you'd have to use one of the earbud/microphone combinations or an external microphone like this one which will be limited as to quality. There are some other options here. But if you want pro quality, and particularly want to tap straight off of a mixing console, a device like the Alesis is going to be necessary, though there may be something less expensive that I can't find.
If a microphone works for you, then iTalk might be fine. There's a freeware version of iTalk, iTalk Lite, you can try, to see if it will do the job. It doesn't have the advanced playback controls and has a limit of 2MB per recording, but it should allow you to test it out. Voxie is another possibility.

How-To Display the Number of Records Returned from a List to the User?

We currently are using lists to identify accounts that meet various criteria. Because the territories vary from 4k to 60k customers the users have stated that they don't know the size of the list and therefore don't know if they need to refine the list. Currently they are exporting to Excel to look at the row count to see if they need to further refine their searches. This takes quite a while and while shuffling through many lists is a bit painful. Isn't there a way to just show the total records returned from the list down at the bottom of the screen where it allows you to see 25/50/75/100 records at a time?
There is probably a simple way to do this but it is a large user dissatisfier at the time because we simply don't know how to make this show up. Again we are using lists and not analytics for simple lists at this time.

Recording sound from the PC

I am currently running a mixer into the front audio input jack on my PC, and have all external stuff (mic, mini disk, etc) coming through that.
Am I able to set up audition so that it can also record sound from the PC. For example, if I want to grab audio from a you tube video, or have an online voice chat or something enabled, can I open audition and record it? I have tried, but not been successful. My only idea is having to run the audio out of the PC, into a channel in the mixer, and then back into the PC with everything else.
Any help?

Recording audio from laptop with T420s and combo port

Hi All,
I sometimes need to run my companys application and record the spoken messages for demo's etc. Previously, I did this simply by playing the messages through the laptop speakers and at the same time using the Windows Sound Recorder to record it from the laptop microphone (I didn't even need to use external speakers or microphone).
Now, with the new T420s that I have, when I speak into the laptop microphone it records my voice fine but when I use an application to play messages through the laptop speakers, the recorder does not pick up an sounds......is this a result of this "combo" port........if so, is there any way round it ?

I meant what if you recorded just your voice, then added the audio from your demo after the fact?
The sound chip takes the microphone input, and subtracts the speakers sound. This is what is needed most of the time, but in your case, it seems to be the exact opposite. Not sure if this can be disabled in SmartAudio.
You'll probably need Virtual Audio Cable to record multiple streams.

Can you define "from another source". I'll assume for now, you mean, from an external live source, like a vocal, or guitar.
Yes, if you had saved the song using the "Save As Project" command, the audio path to that songs audio folder should have been set. and all audio files recorded into that song would reside in that location.
The only thing that you might want to check, is hit "A" with the song open, and make sure "choose path" is set to "Song Recording Path" and not "Global Recording Path".
