Recording of changes in configuration

In SolMan, is recording of changes made in the 'Configuration' either through SolMan or directly from ECC 6.0 server possible ? If yes, how ??

I have got an access to Solution Manager 4.0 server. Now via RFC setting, I am remotely connected to ECC 6.0 server.
I am connected to ECC server (RFC) via solman, now if any change is made/done in configuration/customizing in ECC server, then is it possible to see those changes through Solman ?
I donu2019t want to see these changes through Transport Request.
Is there any alternative method for this?

Hi all
My client manufactures assemblies (configuration items for a model) which consume serialized components.
These components can be replaced by the Field Engineer when they visit the customer site.
My client wants to record the change in configuration of a model because of this transaction.
They have Install Base configured but do not use Depot Repair or Field Service
Is it possible to record the change in configuration of the assembly that has been shipped to a customer?
Do they need to have Depot Repair or some other module for this?
Can this be done using Install Base only?
Please advice.

Hi,
Depot repair is not required, if you want to just track the items. Installbase must be enough. field Service will be to track the SR's if that serves your purpose.
All installbase updates happen through Inventory transactions. So important trggers will be RMA, WIP Issues and Receipts, PO receipts etc.
Depot repair is to properly execute the after sales service when the repair needs to happen in your work shop. If you are fine to manage this part of transactions manually you do not need Depot repair.

How to change the Configuration of Serviceable material in Repair Sales Ord

Hi,
I have to change the configuration of the main item of a repair sales order which will have a serviceable material
for an inbound interface.
Is there a standard FM or BAPI/RFC available to do so. I tried using CUCB_CHANGE_CONFIGURATION and CUCB_SET_CONFIGURATION but they dont work, meaning they dont raise any exception and sy-subrc is set to zero but still the changes are not reflected once i check it in the transcation.
Any input is appreciated.

HI,
If you are using condion record, you can change the value for the required condition type so that it will flow to PO. IF you are not using that, you can change the price at the line item level in PO itself.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the ''Safe mode'' start window.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (on Mac: "Firefox > Quit")

hello , I copy some users from my admin user which contain the sap_all profile. so these uses can change background configuration. now, I want to restrict the authorization that they can only view the background configuration but can not change it . how can I set this authorization? Can I change the sap_all profile? how to set it?

Hi,
You can copy the SAP_ALL profile to a new name say Z_SAP_ALL and provide display access to all the authorization object and make sure you remove all the critical tcodes in the Z_SAP_ALL profile.
Once you are done with testing the role assign it to the user.

You have to be very careful when a site tells you to change Firefox's settings. It may harm your Firefox.

for these kinds of issues,
foirst check if a uefull event already exists in the system
for this you first actiave the event trace: SWELS.
Then you change the info record.
And then you read the event log with SWEL.
If there's no event, you may eventually have to create it in an exit with SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT fm

Nope. You can always reverse that if you choose.

Follow the same steps which mentioned for SP12, as per my understanding there is not much difference in basic configuration of solution manager 4.0.
Create systems in SMSY, RFC connections, create logical system, create project, activate charm, these are the basic steps.
You will get information on this on saphelp and also go through the solman rkt (service.sap.com/rkt),
sap market place  sap support infrastructure  solution manager  media library (u will find all documents)
Even they gave given the charm configuration guide for SP12, u will find that in technical papers.

i have updated one parameter fewdays back which will require a restart of services to effect
now services are restated and the parameter is in effect.
Is there any way that i can know at wht time/date the change of configuration done?

I believe, that though there are several debit and credit line amounts pertaining to GR/IR Clearing account. System will do clear with transaction F.13 based on sort key information at GL Account.
If the GL Account Sort Key gets changed, then to be cleared manually with T.Code F-03. Here you will not be in a position to clear if the debit and credit items are huge.
Then go to FBL3N, match the both credit and debit with same information at Assignment field and do Clearing with F.13
As we know, it is very big taks. You have to struggle for which the mistake was happend and ensure that the sortkey should not be changed where there are line items to be cleared.

Forms obligates me to save every record I change

I've created a program which main block should insert, update and delete records automatically, using its default Oracle procedures.
Everything works fine, except for one detail: instead of letting me insert/update records and save everything later, my program is imposing me to save every record I insert, update or delete. That is, if I change a record, I simply can't navigate to another record, until I save the record I've changed.
The block has very few columns, and I looked at them to be sure that there is no mandatory field. The program should verify if something is missing in a record only when its data is being saved - that is, in a PRE-INSERT trigger, see if the :BLOCK.field is NULL and, if it's true, then it raises an error. But the program simply doesn't let me go until I save the record I changed.
Please notice that the program is being run via web. Hope my explanation is clear.

What I would suggest is create a default block then
compare the code you added (maybe adding a trigger at
a time) to see of your code is causing the problem.
...sincere thanks for your answer. The block was created via Forms Wizard, and the described situation happens anyway - that is, whether I am inserting, updating or deleting a record, I have to save it before continuing to the next record.
I will do some tests, according to what you've suggested, and if I find it out I will post the solution here. I guess it might be a block property that's not correctly set, but other possibilities - such as a PL/SQL block - should be studied as well.

Does any one know the midi control number that Garageband 09 uses to record volume changes on a software instrument track?
I'm not talking about the standard Midi control number 7 for volume - this only controls the left-right fader in the track header and Garageband does not record volume changes to this fader.
There's a value from 1 to 127 that will record volume changes as a part of the track itself. Does anyone know what that number is? Or does anyone have the table for all the control numbers that Garageband uses, or can anyone provide a link to such a table of such control numbers?

CUP/CUCM IP Address change - how to change the configuration of Jabber/CUPC in batch

I have an implementation of CUCM / CUP with endpoints Cisco Jabber and CUPC.
The CUCM/CUP IP address will change.
Is there a way to change the configuration of Cisco Jabber / CUPC on all devices?

CUPC:
There is a registry setting that you can specify.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cisco Systems, Inc.\Client Services Framework\AdminData\CUPServer
CUPS
You will also need to make changes to the CUPS config for the TFTP, CTI gateway and CCMCIP settings.
Application -> Cisco Jabber/CUPC -> Setttings.
You'll also need to change the truck settings to CUCM if you have this configured.
Jabber:
Not 100% sure on Jabber. Maybe someone else can comment on that.

Changing the configurations of pre-configured BOM on a Sales Order

Hello experts,
Our client's business is similar to OEC Computers. However, I am not able to map the following business scenario:
They sell servers to customers however, it is unusual that the client buys the pre-configured model as provided by the principal. therefore, as per the specific requirements of customer they change the configuration of the server.
For e.g. the pre-configured model has 2GB of RAM however, the customer wants to replace the the 2GB RAM with a 4GB RAM.
The replacement is important to track as Inventory will have an affect on it.
Please advise the possible solutions.

At the time of Production order you chane the 4GB RAM Instead of 2GB.
Traking of the Replacement item you use some Additional query report to be use.
