Recording phones calls via skype

I need to record a long phone call and rather than do it directly from the landline i want to try and do it with Skype and record it directly onto the laptop for easy access and transcribing.
could anyone tell me if this is possible and if so how to do it

See the Help section "Recording Voice Chat". There is even an option to record stereo, your voice in one channel, the other in the second channel.

There are a couple of Apps out there that will allow you to use a Google Voice phone number to make and recieve calls via the iPad. I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to do. If you are trying to replicate the Garmin / iPhone setup I don't think that is possible.
Google Voice setup - gvconnect and talkatone. (wifi)
Skype - I think that you can make phone calls via Skype and Wifi.
I don't have a clue as if it is possible to make a phone call over 3G via the iPad.

What I'm saying is:
Make a new MONO audio track (use the + button). Assign it to input 1
Make a second new MONO track, assign it to input 2
Name both tracks, record-enable both tracks, and record.
You could, of course, make both tracks in one go via the new track dialog box, and hav ethem automatically assigned to ascending inputs.

Based on call history, my home and mobile numbers have been bombarded by phone calls (using Skype) from Skype user, who resides in another country.
For example
Time: 02:20 till 22:33
30-Aug-2012, home number received 15 calls and mobile number received 27.
Time: 00:00 till 22:20
31-Aug-2012, home number received 44 calls and mobile number received 90.
Time: 11:46 till 23:54
01-Sep-2012, home number received 04 calls and mobile number received 33.
Note: The harassment calls started since Oct-2010. I had discovered these harassment calls were made by this Skype user. I am able to provide call history made by this Skype user from Mar-2012 till Sep-2012.
This is a serious violation of the Skype's Terms of Service. Please investigate and take appropriate actions against this issue. Your quick response is very much appreciated. Thank you.

I have a similar problem. I recently reinstated Skype on my iPad. I am able to sign in, to check my profile page and to check on my credit (I have about $30 US on it). But, I am unable to bring up a dial pad, nor a phone logo. I should add, I do have another copy of Skype on my iPad, under a different spelling of my name, that works perfectly well. I want to be able to contact to Skype using the re-instated account (which I had created earlier in error) so as to use up the existing credit, as I've learned that I can't combine the two accounts. What can I do? Can anything be done?

I understand that I pay £10 for 3 months to set this up.
I understand that callers pay for a local call (so long as they're close to that local number)

Is it possible to record phone calls?

I'd like to be able to record phone calls with my iphone.
Is this possible & is it high quality?
Perhaps there is a really good app to buy?

Firstly, there are varied rules in different countries as to the legality of recording telephone conversations - some its outright illegal, others its legal and in some its legal if one party to the calls knows and in more yet, its only legal if both parties know its being done. This will be part of why Apple have not provided the feature.
The second is much simpler - you cannot run a third party App at the same time as anything else except the iPod feature. having the App would be pointless as an incoming call would close the App down - there is no way around this.
The features you list are unlikely to come about as they would fall under the first category above - borderline or illegal depending upon where you are.
As the App would interact with the audio channel and the dialling features it again, would never gain Apple approval IMO as it interferes with the core facilities and could be used to hijack your dialling and hence run up large bills.
Simple solution - pocket recorder, next to the phone, with the phone on speaker.
Its not ideal but I don't believe there is a solution out there for you.

No, you will need to buy a smartphone if you require that feature. Your phone is too basic for that feature as it cannot run recording software whilst a call is in progress.
Any of nokia's smartphones will allow you to do that easily.

Data usage recorded phone calls

Is there any way to stop the recorded phone calls from Comcast when you exceed your allotted data usage? I don't mind texts, but running to the phone to find out something I already know is a bit annoying.

Thanks for the post! It's a great idea to monitor your data usage! Your actual phone calls will not take away from your monthly allowance. Do you check your usage by dialing #DATA, or on My Verizon? That would be the best way to monitor the usage that is taken from your allowance. Let us know if you need anything else!

International calling via skype

Hi, I am interested in giving skype plans for internatiol calls a chance to see the quality of the call. I already have purchased a 1 month subscription plan for my desired country. However, I was thinking more about this and a question came to my mind: When I am using skype on my phone (Andorid if it matters): a) will Skype need wifi or internet connectivity to make this call? If not, then b) will it make the call via my phone plan? If not then, c) how is Skype making the call if it's not using internet connectivity or phone connectivity to my cell phone provider? I want to be sure that I am not actually making an international call via my phone service provider, which I then have to pay a lot of money to the provider at the end of the month. To me, it is natural to think that since Skype started as a VOIP service, it still needs internet to make such calls. But from what I am reading, it seems that the plans that skype offers for phone calls, which require you to buy credit, still work without the internet. Am I right on this or am I getting the whole concept wrong?

IPhone 6 Plus 64GB (iOS 8.1 or 8.1.1) springboard crashes repeatedly when making phone calls via Continuity on Macbook Pro Retina Mid 2014 using Yosemite 10.10.1

I USED TO be able to make phone calls using continuity on my MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014) with Yosemite (10.10) via my iPhone 6 Plus on iOS 8.1 without any problems. Once I updated Yosemite to 10.10.1, my iPhone's springboard would continually crash where it brings up the Apple logo and quickly restarts repeatedly until I end the call. Just so that you know, I am able to stay on the call while this is occurring the whole time.
I need to reiterate, this all started happening as soon as I updated Yosemite to 10.10.1 while still on iOS 8.1. I know this because I made a few phone calls (loving the feature), updated Yosemite to 10.10.1, then made a few phone calls afterwards, and this started happening.
When iOS 8.1.1 came out, I eagerly updated hoping this issue would go away, and it did not. I'm hoping Apple notices this post. If anyone else has this problem, please contact Apple and chime in this post as well. Thank you Apple for incorporating continuity calling. I love this feature, but need to use it without my phone's springboard constantly crashing.

I have this issue as well. I am using an iPhone 6 plus, iPad Air 2, 5K iMac, and MacBook Pro. When I make a continuity calls from any device, the springboard crashes. This only happens with outgoing calls, incoming calls are functioning normal. I am currently working with multiple Apple Senior Advisors, and they are working directly with iOS a engineers. I have an active open case and will update this thread when a resolution is found.
Just a tip for everyone with this issue, restoring your devices and setting them up as new WILL NOT correct this issue. Save yourself the hassle. I did this with my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook and the issue still persists.

I need help recording phone calls on new iMac

I have long recorded landline phone calls on my old iMac using the microphone jack and audacity.
The new iMac does not have a microphone jack. I have tried a USB microphone adapter from Radio Shack and two different cables from KV Connection, one of which was recommended by an in-store Apple Genius. Nothing has worked.
The phone is connected to a radio shack telephone recording control.
27-inch iMac purchased this month. Running Mavericks.
Everything still works fine on my old iMac, which I have set up again and placed next to the new computer. This is not an ideal set up. I am very disappointed this new computer has less functionality than my old one.
Does anyone have any ideas?

likely comes with better manual and description how you get it to work then some generic usb mic adapter

I have used my iphone 4 for almost 4 years, and I really love iOS because of it's strong function.
But my next cell phone may be the NEXUS, because I really need to a function of recording my phone call.

Let's think about how Google deal with this matter.
There are too many people who are using iphone in the world, and there are various law system.
I am a Korean, and it's legal to recording direct phone calls in Korea.
Moreover sometimes recording files would be the best evidence in the court.

Using Outlook to make a phone call via lync

I have Outlook 2010 and Lync 2010 clients installed on a workstation, with full VoIP for Lync for external and internal calls.
I want to know if its possible to have Outlook place a voice call via lync automatically based on a rule or via custom VBA in outlook? Is it possible to do the same but send SMS instead of a voice call?
It seems possible as the tools integrate quite well, but I haven't found any documentation supporting it yet.

You can call a phone contact in outlook, then it will open a Lync Window.
But not sure if a rule or custom VBA can make it automatically.
