Recording Problem With Muvo N

I've had my N200 about 2 months. Everything works great except when I try to record FM the player shuts off; it only started doing this recently. Is there any way to fix the problem?

Have you tried to upgrade/reload the firmware?

  • Recording problem with SoundBlaster X

    Hello everyone,
    I am running a X-FI sound card which is on my motherboard (MSI P6N Platinium).
    I always had MSI boards with integrated soundblaster cards, and I used to plug my guitar directly in the microphone input and record.
    Since I got this new board with the X-FI card, I have latency when I play my guitar. The sound has around half a second delay before it gets to the speakers.
    I never had such a problem with my other motherboards/soundblasters.
    I tried with the front panel mic, and also with the back panel one. The problem with the back panel is that when I plug my guitar in, it doesn't allow me to output to the normal 5. speakers, I have just the option to should Digital output...
    Does anyone have an idea on something I should look for in the setup?

    Intel Dual Core 6600
    MSI P6N Platinium with integrated SoundBlaster X-FI Xtreme Audio
    2GB Geil sync RAM
    Nvidia 8800GTX 768Mb Video Ram

  • Recording Problems with GarageBand

    My micophone makes bad noise only in GarageBand while recording. The record sounds bad, too. It crackles very loudly. That's a new situation for me. Until now everything works nice. There are no problems with other programms. I use a USB Audio Interface Line6 TonePort UX1 with an AKG C1000S microphone. Can you help me please. Thanks a lot. Sorry for my bad english.

    I'm having a weird audio sync issue as well with GB '08 that I never had with previous versions.
    Basically, audio tracks gradually drift forward in time as the song progresses. They drift almost a full bar ahead of where they should be after about a minute into the song.
    When I watch the wave form in the editor as I'm recording everything looks correct, but after stopping and playing back a process runs and then the sync is completetly screwed up.
    I've tested every hardware variable I can think of -- external FW drive vs. internal drive, external hardware (Digi 002r) vs. built-in audio. I even tried 16 bit vs. 24 bit recording and I continue to have the same problem everytime.
    Again, I had no issues with the exact same hardware and previous versions of GB, which leads me to believe that the problem is software related. I'm wondering if all of these new features come at the expense of memory and/or resource issues.
    Anyone else experience this or know what the fix is?

  • Problems with Muvo V100 1

    Hey, I gotta problem with my Creative Muvo V00 GB. It was workin properly until I tried to switch it off the computer. Now it's not working. I try to switch it on n there's an information Muvo and that's all. Maybe I switched it off the computer unproperly coz before everything was fine. Could u help me? I'd be very grateful

    you mean it's getting stuck when you turn it on? then just reset/format it (or something like that). hold play button while plugging it to the computer and you will enter recovery mode.

  • Another problem with MuVo Tx

    I've got a huge problem with my MuVo Tx. It's the File System Error messege when I turn it on, but I can't fix it by formatting it. I tried to open the player as dri've h: at "My Computer", but I get an "E/A divice-error". So I tried to fix it by formatting, but the computer just locks itself when I try to. Has somebody any suggestions on how I could fix it, or even experiences?

  • Recording problems with condenser mics

    ok, i have a CAD GXL 2400 condenser large diaphragm mic and a fast track pro liking into my grageband. I am having major major volume problems, where no matter what combinations i use between the gain of the microphone and the levels of my instruments in grageband, theres always some problem with the volume. usually its that my voice becomes so backround to the instruments that its not driving the melody that it should, and also, with me making the gain higher to try to get more volume, the mic will pick up too much of my voice and it will just sound more like static. if i finally get my voice to be heard how i would want it to be, all my instruments are turned down so low (normally lower than -15) that the song really has no power behind it. what should i do?

    no normally the clip light doesnt come on, ive talked with people from multiple tech supports, such as sweetwater, and their advice was to sing into the mic and get the gain to where the clip was coming on with my voice, then turn the gain just barely below that to get the best sound. it did help, but not enough to fix my problem.

  • Problem With MuVo V200 after software upd

    Today I buy a MuVo Gb,
    I check that the software ver. in the MP3 player
    was old.
    I download the file "MuVoV200_PCFW_LF__2_03.exe"
    and installede the file, No problem
    After the update I can NOT turn-on the mp3 player,
    and the pc can NOT see the MP3 in the USB port.
    So it is DEAD. Have can i wake-up the mp3 player ? again

    From the website, download and install the Mass Storage Drivers.
    Then, press and hold the Play button while connecting your player to the USB port of your PC. This is connecting your V200 in what is called Recovery Mode.
    Keep pressing the Play button until the New Hardware Wizard starts.
    Complete the wizard.
    When finished reload the firmware. If it doesn't work with the latest version then try one of the earlier version linked to in the thread in my signature line.

    Maybe it's a prob of impedance, i don't know.

  • A Problem With Muvo V200 !!

    Hi everybody, I've bought a Muvo V200 GB, and it works well , less one thing:
    When the blue light is activated I feel a very "high-pitched" sound, and it's very unpleasant.
    Can somebody tell me if there is a firmware that fix that problem ?
    I've tried to format the usb flash but I still have this problem. And I've also seen some posts in other forums that complain about that.

    No, the problem is with the V200 hardware itself, not the headphones. But using a higher impedance phone results in this high frequency noise being greatly attenuated. Being a hardware issue, there is no possible firmware fix for this. The only option is to go to a higher impedance phone (the Koss KSC-75 sounds great and is available for $5 from amazon.com) or li've with the problem. You can of course set the player to have the backlight always off - this will also eliminate the problem except at startup but will make adjustments more difficult in the dark.

  • Recording problems with G570

    Hi everyone
    I bought a Lenovo G570 last week and am very pleased with it, but it has a problem when recording sound from the microphone-in socket.  The problem is that sound recorded from the socket (the only external line input on the computer) records fine for the first few seconds, but after that (the time varies) it becomes distorted, like it has been very heavily compressed.  I'm using the socket as a line-in to record from a radio's line-out socket.
    The audio levels are fine according to the meters in the sound properties box and the recording software - I've tried using the latest versions of Total Recorder (and a variety of it's drivers) and Audacity with the same result.
    Recording streaming radio stations is fine though.
    Shame I can't attach a sound sample here.
    I spent the first 2 days after buying the laptop downloading all the Windows 7 updates so as far as I know all's up to date.
    Any ideas?  I don't want to have to return it for a refund, but this is a real problem for me :-(

    hey valveradio,
    could you try uninstalling the current audio driver for your unit. Let windows install its own generic driver and then test it out using Sound Recorder (the built-in recording app from windows)

  • Mac newbie!  Recording problems with Audition 2.0 in WMware Fusion 3.0

    Hi --
    Having been an Audition/Cool Edit fan for a decade, when I recently bought my first Mac (MacBook Pro) I bought and installed WMware Fusion 3.0 for the sole purpose of running Audition on my Mac (OS 10.6.2).
    Everything installed beautifully and playback, CD extraction and the like all were working fine.  There was a slight bit of latency, but I could deal with it.  When it came time to record something, though, it was awful.  The whole Auditon program slowed down and recording was spotty, choppy and basically unintelliglble.
    I thought I hadn't allocated enough memory on my virtual machine (the default was 512Mb) so I increased it to 2GB.  That didn't work.
    Has anyone else experienced this and, if so, can you give me a tip or two on how to get the recording mechanism to work properly?

    VMWare Fusion and Parallels are just not reliable enough for real-time recording.  I highly recommend setting up a bootcamp partition and using Audition under a native Windows XP environment for recording.  The virtualization systems work fine for editing, mixing, etc but are just not reliable or robust enough for real-time work, in my opinion.
    I supplied a short blog post to Adobe's Inside Sound blog last year about this.  It's still up at http://blogs.adobe.com/insidesound/2008/02/audition_3_on_a_mac_1.html and has generated some great comments from users and even some of the folks over at VMWare.

  • Problem with MuVo Micro N200...please help

    I recently purchased a Creative MuVo Micro N200 Mp3 Player with 52 memory. It was working perfectly until yesterday when i tried transfering a few mp3s into the player. I was prompted with a dialog box that read 'cannot create file'. Thinking that it had something to do with my computer and tried my player again on a friends laptop and the same error message popped up.After that,i went to www.creative.com where i downloaded another driver and a new firmware. The driver was installed successfully onto my PC.However, when i tried intalling the firmware into the player the following message appeared 'cannot write into device.device timeout' even though i followed every step that was on the site. I know that it has nothing to do with my player memory as there is about 80mb of memory storage left.
    What is wrong with my player?What can i do?
    Any help is deeply DEEPLY appreciated.

    What state has it left your player in? Can you switch it on? Can you connect to it from your PC?
    When you couldn't get any more files onto your player where were the files on it's Were they all in the root folder? There is a limitation to the FAT filesystem where you cannot put too many files or folders into the root folder. Create sub-folders and put your files in them.
    Let us know answers to the above questions. If you can't connect to your player there are a few things we can try to get you back up and running.

    When i turn my mp3 player on, it shows first "Creative", then "Muvo?", and stop here. I can't listen to my mp3, can't connect it to my pc because it's not recognize anymore. Somebody has an idea on how to fix this problem?

    A lot of people get the backlight buzz on different MuVo players and it is a hardware "feature" i.e. it can't be fixed by a firmware upgrade.
    Different headphones can make the noise appear worse - looks like the HQ-700 fall into this category. Not much to be said apart from:
    use different headphones.</LI>
