Recording Softwa

I have a SoundBlaster Li've Value card in a Dell PIII GHz PC. I bought this machine 4 years ago with the SB card installed. Windows Me was the original OS. At that time, there was the Wave Studio application and I used it for recording microphone or line inputs. It worked fine. However, I upgraded to Windows XP Home SP2 and when I attempt to reload the SB software from the installation CD, the machine slows down considerably. The entire task bar doesn't even load. It appears that the driver and/or services are not compatible with XP. A System Restore fixed the PC.
Next, I downloaded the drivers/software from the SB website, but there is no recording application included. If I attempt to install the Creative Recorder software it complains that it's an update and there is no pre-existing version of the recorder.
What's next? What can I use for making recordings?

The default Windows XP driver works fine. I only tried something else because it came along with the installation of the application software as provided on the Dell OEM CD. In order to make my system useable, I had to perform a System Restore to the checkpoint before installing the Creative driver/applications. Then I went to www.soundblaster.com and went to the support, downloads. Look for the drivers section and download the driver/software. Beware, it's a large file. No problem for broadband (i.e. DSL, Cable), but a bear for dialup.
I guess I'm just a bit annoyed that Creative decided to put only an update version of the recorder on the website instead of the full installation. Sure, if the old driver/software worked with Win XP SP2, the update would work. But, when the old driver/software makes the system unusable you are stuck!

I had the same problem I was going nuts trying to figure what was going on so I wrote to creative and they told me what to do and it fixed the problem, but lets give credit were credit is due I am going to cut and paste the letter and hope it solve your problem also.

I understand that you are trying to use Creative Smart Recorder
application but unable to because it reported that no audio device is
available. Let me try to help you best as I can.
First of all kindly ensure that you have the administrati've rights to
your PC. Then I would like you to check the Device Manager for me: Click
Start --> Run --> type devmgmt.msc --> OK. Look under Sound, Video, and
Game Controllers; do you see your soundcard listed? Is there any error
on it's Make sure you have disabled the onboard sound as well. We
recommend that you disable the onboard sound in the BIOS (look up your
motherboard manual or manufacturer for more help).
If everything is fine, kindly go to Control Panel from Windows Start
menu and choose Sound and Audio Devices. Go to Audio tab and choose X-Fi
as your playback device. At the bottom tick the option 'Use only default
devices'.
Start up the recorder application. Does it work? Please get back to me
if the issue persists.

X-Fi Fatal1ty - recording to 3rd party softw

Hi anyone and everyone
Perhaps it's only me being a genuinely thick person, but I don't find this card and breakout box, very intuiti've AT ALL! Don't get me wrong, I love the sound it gives me, but I cannot get it to record to 'Magix Music Studio'. While the card and box act as a wonderful medium for turning my PC into an amplifier, I DON'T WANT AN AMPLIFIER, I WANT TO RECORD THE *bleep* SOUNDS!!!!!!!
For a third rate musician who likes to record his own music, I only want this for my own benefit (hence only Magix!) but I cannot get a response from the card to the sofware. The software recognises the card, but no matter what I plug in or where I plug it, I can't get a recording. To be honest, the recorder supplied in the software package from Creative, leaves a LOT to be desired and I expected better from these people, but even THAT doesn't record intuiti'vely.
I'm at the point of offering a new card up for sale and that would be sad, as I DO like the sound.
Fed up...us old f4rts shouldn't be subjected to this sort of trauma...

I guess that you couldn't rationalise that it was because of a POOR technical support and documentation that I posted this. For goodness sake grow up. If you consider that your response was worth the subjecti've comment of bad language, your response to the query was even worse. Should your mediation be prompted by Creative themselves or by your simple inability to see frustration when it smacks you in the eye, I'm not sure, but your patronising, less than useless comment will make sure I don't come back to your forum.
Your sensorship was the most rediculous and childish I've ever seen, probably to try and give the impression the curse was worse than it was. If you have children over 5 years of age, I KNOW they use worse. If you DON'T, I can't say I'm surprised. Perhaps the size of your ego when blowing that sort of rubbish, points directly to the size of other things.

Error in creation of a condition record

Hi to all, I've this error when I try to create a condition record :

Message no. /SAPCND/MAINTENANCE719
Diagnosis
Implementation of BADI /SAPCND/ROLLNAME or method FIELD_CHECK/DEFAULT_VALUE_SUGGESTION is missing for the filter characteristic ZIUSERSTATUS.
If, however, the implementation is correct (see BADI Interface Documentation) and active, there is an error in the condition maintenance layer.
System Response
An exception or error occurred because condition maintenance cannot check, convert or lock/unlock the fields of a condition record.
Procedure
Contact the department responsible for carrying out the missing implementation in the case of application fields in the customer namespace. SAP is responsible for SAP fields which are set in the field catalog (/SAPCND/CTFC) and delivered, and if the field is supported as a possible field in a condition table. SAP is also responsible for the implementation of usage fields for SAP applications, just as with condition technique fields.
In cases where SAP is responsible, contact your responsible support organization.

How do I use my web cam to record audio and video? I can get the video to work but no sound.

I want to record both audio and video at the same time. The video works fine but not the audio. I do use Skype without any problems using both.

You did not say what webcam software you are using...

YouCam > Right-Side Settings >
Right-Side, Lower-Right, Select a working Microphone from the Drop down list
AND
CHECK "Capture with audio"

You can also buy (for $38 US) YouCam 5.0 from the Cyberlink.com website and it has audio/video and all sorts of other goodies, too. (They have 3.x as well, but why buy what HP already gives you?)

CUBE Not getting All records from DSO

Hi Experts ,
We have a situation where we have to load data from a DSO to a Cube . The DSO contains only 9 records and while we r loading the data into cube , the cube is only getting 2 records . Thus 7 records are missing. Also The Cube contains more Fields than DSO. in the transformations , for the extra fields we have written end routine and those extra fields will get data by reading master data .. Any pointers how to get the missing records or what is the error ...

Pension payment period record issue in Retiree Payroll

Dear Experts,
We are implementing Retiree payroll with new set of wagetypes and payroll area. Now requirement is that there needs to be a provision of recording the balance period of pension payment and further it should be displayed in the form of report. That means say employee has the eligibility of receiving pension from 01.12.1998 to 14.11.2015 and he has received it till Oct, 2010, remaining balance period needs to be projected in month and days like 60.14/98.12 etc.
Now please suggest how to achieve it, should we create a custom infotype for storing it or any other way is there.

It is Indian payroll.
Requirement is to store the balance period of pension payment, like if one employee is eligible to get pension ( as per our pension benefit scheme) for 10 years 3months 15 days since his retirement date and has already received for 36 months i.e. 3years, we need to store and display that he is eligible to get pension for another 7years 3months 15 days in 87.15 format (i.e. 7*12+3= 87months and 15days) on monthly basis.
This will be also captured in a report later on.

HOW DO I RECORD A DVD FROM A VCR? I BOUGHT A APPLE MINI-DVI TO VIDEO ADAPTER AND A S CABLE ADAPTER, IT ALL HOOKS UP, BUT IT DOESN'T SHOW UP AS BEING THERE. HELP! ANYBODY! I WOULD LIKE TO DUB MY CHILDS MOVIES OF WHEN SHE WAS YOUNG BEFORE THEY ROT AWAY ON VCR TAPE. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Yeah, I got the "200" because I'm transferring 300 training sessions from VHS to DVD. I use the RCA inputs (three wire plug type - white & red (sound) and yellow (video)). EyeTV200 does a fine job.
I also use our Canon GL2 to pass the video through the camera via firewire into my Intel iMac. I find EyeTV 200 easier (and I can watch and record TV!) while at work! (WaaHOO!)
This is for the analog signal. TEh EyeTV 500 is for
digital cable.

How can I display all records as a end user?

It is a .cfm but only displays 15 records at a time, I was wondering if there is a tag or way to have it display all 300 something records at once? My ultimate goal is to get just the full table into a excel spreadsheet while retaining the HTML formatting so the links still work.
My thought is that the state has set it up this way to only display a set number of records at a time, the data is not private or protected, I am simply seeking a easier way to access it in aggregate.

I think your best hope is to ask the author of the CFM whether they provide any web service that can get you that data when you call it. like.

There's a chance they may be regulating performance on the resultset, and don't want to return that many records at a time, pagination or not.

How to delete the double records connected to one or more than one tables in SQL 2008?

Can anyone please help me with the SQL query. I Im having a table called People with columns names: personno., lastname, firstname and so on. The personno. is having duplicate records,so all the duplicate records i have written with "double" in
the beginning of the numbers. I tried deleting these double records but they are linked to one or more than one tables. I have to find out, all the tables blocking the deleting of double person. And then create select statements which creates update statements
in order to replace the current id of double person with substitute id. (The personno. is in the form of id's in the database)

You should not append "double" in the personno. When we append it will not be able to join or relate to other table. Keep the id as it is and use another field(STATUS) to mark as duplicate. Also we will require another field(PRIMARYID) against
those duplicate rows i.e the main or the primary personno.

i just explained how i have done it.
i just simply gone into Debug mode. there
code = Dele.
i have given. then i came out from debug mode to Table. there i just got Delete button on application tool bar.
i selected the record then icliked on Delete button.
it is got deleted.
But it is not asking for any new Transport Request.

How to delete the records in BI for deleted reocrds in R/3

Hi ,
We have a scenarion described below...
We have a table in R/3 and updates happen to the table every week with a ZPROGRAM which deletes some of the records and recreates with some logic.
Assuming :
Initially, We did the load to BI and we got 200 records for last week (Initial Load)
After R/3 prgram is ran, it deletes some of the reocrds in those table , say we only have 150.
Now, Can BW somehow know , what are those records and delete those 50 records from the request which has already been loaded ?
FYI, we just have an indicator marked with X on the R/3 table if the program in R/3 has run.
I know, one solution is "selective deletion".
As we have to selectively delete every week, we do not want to take that approach.
Second is "full load" but we do not want to do full load also as the data volume is huge.
We would like to delete those 50 reocrds in BI dynamically with some ABAP code/some logic. Does anyone have any suggestions ???

Hi Kumar,
I will try to explain it, but at the moment I am unable to take a look at the code.
I have set up a generic function module which will do the trick for more than one specific datasource. This function module is placed in the startroutine and only executed for the first datapackage.
Within the startroutine of the transformation, you have the possibility to use the p_r_request class. This class contains all necessary information about the current DTP load.
I use the get_source and get_target methods to determine the correct database tables dynamically. The t_h_sel (or somthing) contains the current DTP selections. This will include the RequestID and all other selections like fiscal year for example.
Because the write optimized DSO only has a technical key, we can use the RequestID to do the selection on the source table. After that you can compare the source selection with the active table of the second DSO and add all records from the second DSO that are not available in the source selection.
Please note that the key of the second DSO should be the same as the semantic key of the first DSO in order to do the compare.

Hi,
If u want a frequent deletion this approach to delete a record from a file will havee unnecesary copy of records from one file to another and deletion of one file and renaming activities.
Instead what u can do is Add and field del_flag to ur record structure.
If u want to delete the record from a file just mark this del_flag as 'X'.
While processing u can have a loop like
loop at it_XXX where del_flag <> 'X'.
endloop.
This will logically delete the record.
When u r to finish the application at that time only perform this copying / deleting / and renaing activity
