Recording Source Changed by G

Hi there, I have an Audigy 2 Platinum eX. I've recently started playing Counterstrike (a Half Life Mod), I use a piece of software called 'Ventrilo' to talk to friends via my mic during gameplay.
The problem is, every time I open Counterstrike, the recording source in my 'surround mixer' gets changed to 'wave/mp3' from 'line /mic'. This means that when I talk on ventrilo, whatever I am listening to (noises from gameplay) are broadcast to the other users on ventrilo.
The only way I can stop this, is to alt+tab out of counterstrike, and change the recording source back to line /mic.
There are no settings inside counterstrike to define the input source (as they have an integrated voice comms) and I can't find any options to disable or change the source it picks.
My friend has my old Sound Blaster Li've! Platinum, and he doesn't have this problem.
Is there any way to maybe disable applications from changing the recording source? Or any other solutions?
Sorry for writing so much, and thanks for your help!

empty_sound,
You may need to change certain setting within CS. Check this article from Steam.

  • Audigy 2 ZS Recording Source keeps changing in g

    Hi all,
    all of a sudden I've been experiencing weird problems with my SB Audigy 2 ZS. Every time a new level loads in CounterStrike Source the recording source in the MediaSource player changes to Wave. This means that everything I hear is echoed back to all my friends in TeamSpeak and it all sounds very weird. Every level change I have to tab out of CS and change the recording source back to Line-In /Mic.
    Any idea why this happens, and has only started happening recently? Oh and how to fix it would be great too! :-)
    Cheers

    all of sudden?
    no, not all of sudden, except if you just tried CSS.

  • Microphone input recording source while using Steam/Ventr

    I own the Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Zs. I also use a voice program called Ventrilo while
    playing CounterStrike/Steam. My problem occurs when I play counterstrike. I go into the
    surround mixer and choose Line-In 2 as my recording source as that is where I have my
    microphone plugged into. It works fine normally, but when I open up Counterstrike/Steam
    the surround mixer changes my recording source to the microphone, instead of Line-In 2.
    It also does it every time I restart my computer. I would like my recording sourece to
    always be Line-In 2 but for some reason it doesn't like to be that. Is there some file I
    have to change so that it will always remain as the Line-In 2 or something else I have to
    do? Any help will be much appreciated.

  • LSMW Recording source program editing

    Hi All,
    Can we edit LSMW recording source program so that i can implement  program logic? if so how can we do that.
    Thanx,
    GUNA

    Hi Guna,
    U can edit source program (but remember whenever u r executing the program its get changed), so my sincere request is dont go for that.
    and if u want to write any logic best method is go for Mapping step(5th step)
    in that there is Display variant icon , press that
    u find pop-up screen in that check bottom three boxes and enter,
    afterwards u find functions where u can write logic there what ever u want as per the requirement.

  • Very Strange - Mixer Record Source Setting Will Not Save - defaults to Microphone volum

    This issue has me stumped.. I've even tried a clean boot of XP.
    Firstly, I am using X-Fi Platinum, on XP, ASUS board
    The problem is that both in Control Panel and in Creative Mixer, any changes made to the recording source will not save. In other words, when I close down the Mixer and re-open, the default source is Microphone with volume 0. Even if all I do is increase the microphone volume, when I close that window down, it becomes volume 0 again. When I try the approach through Control Panel it is the same result. The microphone is not "mute" but the volume slider is all the way down to minimum, so its the same result. Also, if I change the recording source to "What You Hear" or "Mic 2" , as soon as I close down the mixer window, it is back to Microphone volume 0
    The strange thing is, I formatted my hard dri've and re-installed XP, and still I'm having the same problem.
    Thanks in advance for your help..

    I finally discovered the problem. It is the BlueBeat player that was responsible.
    Here is an exerpt from a press release:
    "Bluebeat.com uses MRT?s X SeCure technology which makes it next to impossible for an average user to save, record, convert or otherwise ?transcode? the audio streams on the Bluebeat.com"
    But the problem is that it effects the OS at such a low level that doing a "clean boot" still does not fix the issue.
    Keep in mind, that the BlueBeat player wasn't even running when it caused these issues. Fortunately, when I uninstalled BlueBeat, everything works fine again.
    Moral of the story? If you have X-Fi, avoid BlueBeat.com, because you will lose all ability to record, even when not running their player. I hope this helps some people out there.

  • How do I get my old Surround Mixer recording sources back?

    I recently had my computer repaired where I basically had a complete overhaul. In the process they installed a second soundcard (the one that went with the new motherboard) alongside my original Creative Sound Blaster Audigy card (Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum eX). Before, when I would record audio into my computer, I opened the Surround Mixer software and in the record pulldown menu it showed all of the inputs as they relate to my Audigy interface (SPDIF, Aux In 2, Line In 2, etc.). Now when I open the Surround Mixer software, I only get generic options such as Analog Mix, CD Digital, Microphone, etc. and therefore I can't get any outside audio into my computer.
    I figured the computer?was defaulting to the?new sound card so I disabled the onboard audio in my BIOS and then installed the Creative Sound Blaster Series 2 Driver. I clicked on the driver and it said that it needed to uninstall another driver that was already there. The install went a little funny and it got hung up a couple of times. Then, I couldn't get Surround Mixer to work at all so I went to the Creative website and installed Software Auto Update. I downloaded and installed all the critical components?but that also went a little funny. It took about three tries and it didn't seem like it actually finished installing, but when I checked on Auto Update again, it said that I was up to date and that everything had installed. I noticed at the beginning that it installed a new version of Surround Mixer but when I opened it later, it still had those same generic options, not the the ones that match my external interface.
    What do I need to do to get my original settings back?

    >Re: How do I get my old Surround Mixer recording sources back?p audiodrome,
    Is the external Audigy Dri've properly connected? Does the Plat Ex have the rear jacks? If so, can you record from the rear LineIn or mic jack and play sound files through headphones or speakers? What happens when you run the Creative Diagnostic? What does Device Manager show? Otherwise, yes, uninstall and reinstall the Creative software. If your install CD has a repair option, try that first. However, you may find you need to remove the Audigy from your PC, reboot without it, and then reinstall everything. Some Soundblaster cards don't play well with some integrated soundcards, so you may also want to disable the integrated soundcard in BIOS.

  • How to record the change in build of an assembly for a shipped machine

    Hi all
    My client manufactures assemblies (configuration items for a model) which consume serialized components.
    These components can be replaced by the Field Engineer when they visit the customer site.
    My client wants to record the change in configuration of a model because of this transaction.
    They have Install Base configured but do not use Depot Repair or Field Service
    Is it possible to record the change in configuration of the assembly that has been shipped to a customer?
    Do they need to have Depot Repair or some other module for this?
    Can this be done using Install Base only?
    Please advice.
    Regards
    Akhil
    [email protected]

    Hi,
    Depot repair is not required, if you want to just track the items. Installbase must be enough. field Service will be to track the SR's if that serves your purpose.
    All installbase updates happen through Inventory transactions. So important trggers will be RMA, WIP Issues and Receipts, PO receipts etc.
    Depot repair is to properly execute the after sales service when the repair needs to happen in your work shop. If you are fine to manage this part of transactions manually you do not need Depot repair.

  • Select Recording Source issue on Audigy 2

    I unistalled and installed the program and can't get it to work. I have the Audigy 2 ZS plat. with the software and all. Problem I have when I open up the Organizer MediaSource Player everything works but the "select recording source" button or selection doesn't work. It's kind of blanked out as if I don't have that option at all. But when I go to the mixer I can here the line inputs but I can't record from it b/c I can't select it. If anyone has this issues let me know or how to solve it. I have windows XP and also my Audio Stream recorder doesn't work either.

    Ok I got it to work. This is the reply I got from Creative but I didn't remove the program from the add/remove option on the PC b/c that didn't work at first. I inserted the installation CD and remove it from that wizard. Rebooted and the PC found new hardware. I then installed the driver and software from the CD and now it works.
    For Mediasource. It appears something was corrupted in Mediasource or there is a conflict within the system.Please uninstall all software and drivers for the soundcard, from add/remove programs. Once this is done, shut down the system and changePCI slots for the soundcard, then turn the system back on, cancel the found new hardware wizard, disable all background applications (especially virus scanner, firewall, and any other background applications running in the bottom right hand corner of the system), andthen perform a full reinstallation of the drivers and software from the soundcard installation cd.
    CAT I hope you fix your sound card. Good luck.

  • How to trigger a workflow when a info record is changed?

    Hello All,
    I would like to trigger a workflow when the conditions from a info record are changed?
    What business object should be used?
    Thanks in Advance
    Rui

    Hi,
    for these kinds of issues,
    foirst check if a uefull event already exists in the system
    for this you first actiave the event trace: SWELS.
    Then you change the info record.
    And then you read the event log with SWEL.
    If there's no event, you may eventually have to create it in an exit with SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT fm

  • Forms obligates me to save every record I change

    Hello friends at www.oracle.com ,
    I've created a program which main block should insert, update and delete records automatically, using its default Oracle procedures.
    Everything works fine, except for one detail: instead of letting me insert/update records and save everything later, my program is imposing me to save every record I insert, update or delete. That is, if I change a record, I simply can't navigate to another record, until I save the record I've changed.
    The block has very few columns, and I looked at them to be sure that there is no mandatory field. The program should verify if something is missing in a record only when its data is being saved - that is, in a PRE-INSERT trigger, see if the :BLOCK.field is NULL and, if it's true, then it raises an error. But the program simply doesn't let me go until I save the record I changed.
    Please notice that the program is being run via web. Hope my explanation is clear.
    Best regards,

    Hello Grant,
    What I would suggest is create a default block then
    compare the code you added (maybe adding a trigger at
    a time) to see of your code is causing the problem.
    ...sincere thanks for your answer. The block was created via Forms Wizard, and the described situation happens anyway - that is, whether I am inserting, updating or deleting a record, I have to save it before continuing to the next record.
    I will do some tests, according to what you've suggested, and if I find it out I will post the solution here. I guess it might be a block property that's not correctly set, but other possibilities - such as a PL/SQL block - should be studied as well.
    Best regards,

  • Recordable Volume Change Control Number?

    Does any one know the midi control number that Garageband 09 uses to record volume changes on a software instrument track?
    I'm not talking about the standard Midi control number 7 for volume - this only controls the left-right fader in the track header and Garageband does not record volume changes to this fader.
    There's a value from 1 to 127 that will record volume changes as a part of the track itself. Does anyone know what that number is? Or does anyone have the table for all the control numbers that Garageband uses, or can anyone provide a link to such a table of such control numbers?
    Thanks.

  • How to record entity changes

    Hi friends,
    I am trying to implement feature which should record entity property changes. Basicaly I want to keep history when and what has changed in a separate table.
    For example having a table similar to this and record all changes made to entities
    Entity_ID, ENTITY, old_property_value, new_property_value.
    Is it an easier way to achieve this using Persistence unit, rather than adding extra logic to each setters?
    To better illustrate my problem here is simple example. Assume we have a simple entity class like
    @Entity
    public class UserEntity implements Serializable {
        private static final long serialVersionUID = 1L;
        @Id
        @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.AUTO)
        private long id;
        private String fullName;
        public long getId() {
            return id;
        public void setId(long id) {
            this.id = id;
        public void setFullName(String fullName) {
            this.fullName = fullName;
        }Assume we call
    myEntity.setFullName("New Name");And persisting changes should add record to separate table
    ID ENTITY        OLD_VALUE    NEW_VALUE
    1  UserEntity     Old Name    New NameI can simply add extra logic to setter or create a wrapper/controller classes but maybe there is an easier way to achieve this?
    I am using glassfish application server.
    Thank you for your help!

    it depends how "efficient" you want the code to be. with some fairly straightforward JPA-only code, you could write a PostLoad hook method which recorded the current state of the entity in some sort of internal map (using the persistence annotations so that the code was not entity specific). then you could write a PrePersist hook method which takes the original state (as recorded by the PostLoad hook method) and compares it to the current state, and records any changes to your updates table. you could pile all of this into some common base class for all your persistent entities and you would be good to go. like a said, fairly straightforward to code, may not be super efficient at runtime.
    probably the most efficient way to do this would be to use some sort of aspect oriented programming/byte code manipulation to automagically annotate all the setter methods to record updates in realtime to an internal updates map. then, a similar PrePersist hook can just use this updates map to record the updates to the appropriate table. again, you can most of this in a common base object type and then manipulate the byte code at some point to insert the setter hooks. a variation on this technique, if you didn't want to go the aspect oriented route, would be to manually insert the setter hook code into every setter method. pain in the butt to maintain, but sticks to builtin JPA functionality.

  • We are upgrading from 8.3 to 9.2. How can i get the table(record) structure changes between these 2 version

    We are upgrading from 8.3 to 9.2. How can i get the table(record) structure changes between these 2 versions. I am not able to find it in Oracle support.

    My guess is you want to upgrade HR8.3 to 9.2 - and that is not one jump upgrade. You will need to go HRMS 83 to 90
    (PeopleSoft Enterprise HRMS 8.3x to 9.0 Upgrade (Doc ID 747333.1) and then 90 to 92 (PeopleSoft Human Capital Management 9.0 to 9.2 Upgrade Home Page (Doc ID 1536087.1)
    Each these MOS pages contains the Demo to Demo Compare Reports that show the data structures changes between the releases.
    Hope it helps.

    Hi,
    In SolMan, is recording of changes made in the 'Configuration'  either through SolMan or directly from ECC 6.0 server possible ? If yes, how ??

    Hi Prakhar,
    I have got an access to Solution Manager 4.0 server. Now via RFC setting, I am remotely connected to ECC 6.0 server.
    I am connected to ECC server (RFC) via solman, now if any change is made/done in configuration/customizing in ECC server, then is it possible to see those changes through Solman ?

  • Automatic recording of changes - transports not created

    Hello
    I have strange problem with ERP2004 customizing system.
    I have 2 clients in the system: customizing and test client.
    While customizing work system doesn't show screen with selection of transport request, and some changes are not recorded in transports. What could be the reason? Automatic recording of changes is enabled in customizing client. Sometimes editing client in SCC4 helps - but for a short time.

    Hello,
    Transport request will be created for all the changes made in customization or workbench changes. Every customization/workbech object may create seprate change request. When you are doing customization for a object, first time you will be prompted for Transport request. After creating new transport request further chnages you will not be asked becuase your changes for the same object and changes will be saved in the same transport. Once you relesed the transport then again when you do any changes you will be prompted for new transport.
