Recording to camera

I am having a great deal of trouble writing finished footage from my computer to the tape drive . My computer has 4gig of ram and had 90 gig of spare space on my hard drive. The movie that I want to write back to tape in my Canon HV 30 is 58 mins long. I am using Elements 7. When I start the transfer the encoding seems to be O.K. It then starts recording but the recording lasts only 5 to 10 mins (out of 58 ) and then stops.

as I live in the beautiful citu of Sydney Australia my system is PAL.
Can you tell me in Elements 7 where I will fine Project Settings and
Camera Settings. My camera is a Canon HV30 and it was used in both the
capture of the original footage as well as the destination for the
edited footage.
The other things I have tried are:
Disabled USB Hubs
Tried both old and brand new tapes.
Disabled internet connection
Disabled Web Cam
Disabled screen saver and background picture.
Replaced Firewire Cable with new one.
All of these have been done in order to be able to transfer footage from
computer using Adobe Elements 7 to my camera Canon HV 30.
The error that occurs is to check hdv/dv connection. This occurs between
3 and 10 minutes after transcoding starts.
Sorry to be such a "Pain in the Neck"

IMovie Saying "Record With Camera" instead of "Import"

Hi all,
For some time now I've been having a problem with iMovie; when I want to import footage it doesn't say "Import", only "Record With Camera".
How can I fix that?
The only way I can get around it is to not have any titles created in iMovie before I import footage. But even if I do it this way, when I import the footage and drag it to the timeline it looks like the framerate is slow.
I have a meeting this week and have to create something ASAP, so it would be very helpful if anyone can give a remedy for this.

That's normal until you actually plug in your camera which, if recognised, adds an item to the menu.
Open the Audio MIDI Setup (Utilities folder) and set the default audio output to 44100hZ. Then make sure that the audio output of the camera is set to 16 bits and not 12 bits. Try the camera again.

Ios7 updated few days back after this I am facing problem with my video recording in camera? Now only one option is showing in my camera - photo which is giving me option to click picture, square. HDR on/off.

HDV Print to Video - Video Doesn't Display or Record on Camera

I am editing HDV 1080i60 on FCP 5.1.3 and when I try to Print to Video, the camera screen displays "HDV in" and "i.LINK" but remains blue and does not allow me to press the record button. However, with the same camera (HDR-HC1) and using Final Cut Express I am able to print to video (although this is annoying because it has to convert to Apple Intermediate Codec).
Has anyone else had a similar problem?

OK, I have discovered the problem, and it's a doozy.
Her HDV sequence was set for 1280 X 1080, HDV 1080 Compressor, rather than 1440 X 1080. We have no clue how that happened, but it did.
Here's what I had her do last night when she was creating it: She changed the Easy Setup to HDV 1080i60, then created a new sequence. Then she went to the original DVCPRO HD sequence and did a Command-C to copy, then back to the new HDV 1080i60 sequence and Command-V to paste.
This morning, after I discovered the 1280 problem, I did the exact same steps and the new sequence was 1440 X 1080 HDV. I called her and had her do the exact same thing again, and now that new sequence is 1440 X 1080 HDV.
She is now rendering and conforming. I had her make sure ALL of the render bars were checked in Sequence > Render All, and that she chose Both audio and video. This should do it.
Now, the really tough part. I've got to re-read the thread and choose only two Helpful posts. Why can't we have as many as we need??????

I'd say 9.4 mb is correct. Email attachments always put on a lot of weight, so 12 mb as an attachment is probably right too.
Why don't you use a free service like Filemail? It's very easy to use, and you dont't have to sign up to use it.

Note that there are a lot of popular extensions that can cause issues with videos not working apart from issues with the Flash plugin.
In what way is the navigation not working properly?
Can you give some examples?

Cannot record from cam in quicktime 7.0.3

Loads up the cam, and I see the image, but when I ask it to begin recording, it say the disk is full, or not writeable. Disk is not even the least bit full.
I was thinking there might be another app that had the cam open, but did not see one.
BTW - EvoCam records just fine.

Ok, silly me - You MUST set up a capture FOLDER and not the desktop to get the cam to save a file.

Recording external camera to macbook pro

I have a Canon Vixia camcorder connected to my MacBook Pro by HDMI through a Blackmagic converter.
I would like to record video directly to my harddrive.
I tried Photo Booth and it sees video from my internal webcam. The Blackmagic shows up under Camera, but no picture.
Any help would be appreciated.

Are you putting that mic in front of an amp? You should specify what that "good (expensive) mic" is (condenser? dynamic), but you'll probably have an even harder problem getting its sound into the computer, since mic level is lower than line level.
I'd suggest trying to plug the Strat in directly and play with GB's amp models. If you can't get enough level, you should pre-amp the guitar, for example with a mixing console, or get an audio interface.

Record/Security Camera

Not sure if this is the best place to post but... I am looking to get a web cam that i can use as a security cam for an old mini mac i do not use. I would like it to be able to record so i can view back whats going on in the office when i am not around. nothing fancy. So any web can suggestions adn i believe i would need security software to capture the cam?? Any help will do.

Recording from camera directly to iMovie

How to record directly to iMovie 10 from camera (Canon HV20)? I can see my camera, but no "record" button available. Any hints?

I'd recommend the Canopus ADVC 110 but it's more than you want to spend ...
+Assuming I can find the necessary adapter, is it feasible to take the feed from the camera directly into iMovie for viewing/recording/editing or would I need some kind of intermediary software?+

My recorded audio came out "broken" than when i was monitoring while recording an audio

Im using a focusrite scarlett 2i2 as audio interface, an old Yahama MG102c mixer.They worked fine during the past few days but recently my recorded audio turns out distorted and full of static which is way different then when i was monitoring it. The recordings sounded perfect this past few days but suddenly it produces these kinds of annoying extra sounds. Is there a problem with my equipment or is there a problem with the program itself? How can I get the "Multi-Camera Record" button to show up in the Multi-Camera editor?

I've used the Multi-Camera editor in Premiere for years but in the most recent update (Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014) I can't get the Multi-Camera Editor to record my camera switches. I looked for the Multi-Camera Record button but it wasn't where it used to be, and even when hitting the plus sign to add more buttons it does not appear in that menu either.
What am I missing here? Please help. Thank you.
