Recording via built-in-bridge on 78xx

Hi. Couldn`t configure call recording on 7821 and 7841. Latest firmware sip78xx.10-1-1SR2-1. Recording on the other models (7942, 8945, cisco ip communicator) works fine.

Hi.
Did you configure call recording profile , CTI user controlling profile , Sip Trunk to call recorder and Route pattern pointing to Sip Trunk?
Also did you associate the recording profile to DN configured on the phone?

  • Question regarding the use of Built-in Bridge SIP call setup to recording device

    We have an application that uses Built-in Bridge (BiB) to setup a SIP call to our recording application. Recently the topology of our network was changed and for some reason the RTP for the call is not being sent. What appears to be happenning is that the SIP messages are sent from the UCCM and once the call is established we get an end call event.
    We are not sure how to troubleshoot our network to determine the root cause. Any pointers will be appreciated.

    Did you ever figure this out?  I am having an issue with recording calls to the PSTN from 9971 SIP phones.  Station to station calls seem fine, and 7945 phones running SCCP seem fine to the PSTN.

  • CTIOS, Built-In Bridge and Transfers

    Hi All,
    I am running into an issue with a remote site.  They have about 5 people who have just started to use CTIOS desktop for call routing.  The business requirement is that they be recorded like our normal call center, but the recording servers are in El Paso with our CC.  We have set up and enabled Built-In Bridge on the phone and set up the recording parameters on the extensions, and the recording is working fine.  The issue is that if these agents get a call and need to transfer to a CTIRoute Point they get a busy signal.  Our normal agents are able to transfer to the CTIRP's just fine (their calls are being recorded via span-port, and not Built-In Bridge). 
    I removed Built-In Bridge from our remote agents and now they are able to transfer.  I think it has to do with the CTIOS extension being set up with:
    Maximum Number of Calls: 2
    Busy Trigger: 1
    I know we used to have set the agent extensions this way in the past, since we don't want our agents to be offered more than one call.  I assume my problem is in Built-In Bridge causing the extension to be "too busy to transfer" but if I crank up the Maximum and Busy thresholds will I have multiple calls coming to the agents?

    Hey Seth, long time. Hope you're well.  See if this is of any value. Also, have you tried having them transfer to somewhere other than a CTIRP to see if it fails on any type of transfer, either external or to another phone directly.

    Actually the reason to use Quantum SCSI tape recorder is to back-up big amount of data (propriety movies footage) both on PC (what is quite easy, using SCSII host adapter with VHDCI 68 connector) and iMac what seems to be not easy. All my search by Google leads to that conclussion, they finished production of SCSI-to-USB or FireWire because somebody stopped to produce chips to covert protocols. So even buying noe second-hand adapter, no guaranty it's still working with Lion (nobody is developing drivers anymore). Strange is, nobody or just a few are using SCSII (Ultra 320) devices (while the transfer is not bad, 320 MBps what is 2560 Mbps, so the only limitation is tape recording (some 80 MBps) not an interface. Using compression mode I can (and I do) record 1,6 TB of footage data. However quite slow, is safe and cheap, comparing with any HD storage solution. USB 2 is much more limited.
    I'm using Time Capsule for buck-up. But even 3 TB one day will be full of data, then old back-ups will be eaten by new once, what is not good idea for archives. I'm using another 2TB NAS HD (2x2TB RAID 1), but this is also going to be full soon.
    Of course, you are right, the option is another machine (OSX,Win,Linux or Solaris) equipped with SCSII controller. But this requires another machine, just for back-up time to time, and in practice iMac folders must be shared with that small auxiliary machine because amount of data practically excluding even temporary data collection on auxiliary machine. And it must be transfer by wire, not WIFI, my only network. Tape recording is in my case really good, professional solution, isn't it?
    Anyway, if somebody has similar requirements as me, and found the solution for SCSI, please let me know. So far, follow Jan's idea, I'm thinking about some embeded mini PC, fanless, equipped with slot for SCSI, with SOME smart system on-board, to deal with iMac for type recording. The option is previous Apple model, but to be honest, I became Mac/OSX user 4 years ago. I fell in love with Mac, but my knowledge about previous models is based on Google....
    My desk becomes full of boxes. Do you know how big Quantum TC-L42BX is ? Is very big. And now another box.....another keyboard....another screen... And one small adapter could solve the problem. Eh....

    While theoretically possible, sometimes the camera people disable recording back to tape from the computer due to DRM (digital rights managment) issues. They will allow tape to tape transfers however.
    Test your process first is all I can advise.

    No document that I know, but I believe most all TC software based codecs such as C and SX series have a multisite option key which will enable this feature.  There might be some that don't such as the SX10, not sure of any others though that might not.
    EDIT:
    I found a document when I combed through the Cisco site.

    If you check the bandwidth section, and it shows "MultiSite", those are the endpoints that support built in conference bridges.  It's also listed in the key features section as well if it's supported.

    Please make sure that the User has ESS authorisation
    he needs to have the authorisation like recording times, Normal cats authorisation, please check help.sap.com for which infotypes to be necessary Like 316 etc

  • Conference using phone Built in Bridge dropping calls

    I have a client that is having an issue using the confrn softkey.  Here are the steps that are happening.
    User is on a call
    User presses confrn button
    User diales number
    New participant answers the phone
    User presses confrn button again
    Call gets dropped.
    Not sure why this is happening as I have not seen this before.  All participents are using g711.  and the Built in Bridge option is enabled on the phone.

    Really did BIB used to be used for that cause I thought it was.
    Yes they do have a software CFB setup and it is still having this issue.  They have also discovered that if the press the conf button the second time while the phone is still ringing then it works.

  • Missing Screen when Recording via SHDB

    I am recording transaction VA02 via SHDB. However, if I changed the shipping condition manually, i am getting an additional screen which is asking if I need to redetermine the routes and shipping for all items. But when i record via SHDB, this screen is not shown, that's why no redetermination occured when the shipping condition is changed in a sales order.

    Welcome to the community!
    The camera can send motion alerts to an FTP server, which are the same as email alerts sent to an email address. You will get about 5 seconds of video on an alert or multiple .JPEG images. You need to have an FTP server configured and you need to configure the camera to send to that server. You can send video or images to an FTP server over the internet.
    Using SMB/CIFS you can record continuously to a properly configured Samba server. This can be simply a shared folder on a PC or a Network Attached Storage device. Either way the camera needs to have Read/Write access to the shared folder. The easiest way to get started is to create a wide open share that anyone can access on the root of the drive. (Example: C:\Video) Put the IP address of the PC (i.e. 192.168.1.101) or NAS into the camera as well as the folder name where it asks for Path (i.e. Video). When SMB/CIFS is enabled, the camera should record to that share until it is disabled.

    AFAIK the standard Windows USB audio driver doesn't permit simultaneous sound from the USB source and other sources - e.g. a youtube video. So to hear the turntable would also disconnect other needed inputs. Nor does it permit USB and the Creative sound source to be in tandem.
    OTOH when USB is selected in Audacity I can have the USB driver active and my SB Xi-fi music card will still deliver sound from the turntable AND remaining sources.
    In Audution 3 however once the USB driver is selected the SB driver is active in the sense of being seen in the record window, but not picked up or put to the SB output. ASIO4ALL has not solved this - though it looked promising at first.

    This is a bit unclear to me.
    No audio when recording
    No Video-editing program I know off play any feedback (at standard settings) while recording. FinalCut is even worse that it doesn't play the sound while importing from Camera either (one need to connect speakers to the Camera-audio-out to get this)
    So first - I'm not sure if You can get audio out while recording in iMovie at all.
    BUT
    If there is no sound - When Your captured video is played back - then the problem is more severe and I would start with.
    • Trashing iMovie pref and cache files
    and see if that helps.
    Please - be more descriptive - so that one can do the same actions to see if Your problem is Yours only or if it is the same on more Macs.

  • Captivate Video Recording via web cam?

    Is it possible to do Captivate Video Recording via USB web cam? All I can see so far is about its ability to record screens and applications, but not do an actual video recording via a video camera input. Audio is no problem allowing you to insert audio from a file or do a live audio insert. Video however seems limited to insert from a file only. This would seem to imply you need a separate video recording application to capture video via a camera input, which is obviously disappointing if that's the case.

    Thanks. Hopefully they will add this basic functionality to Captivate ASAP. It's a missing fundamental element. i.e. to be able to add video annotation to your slides. Lectora Publisher does it and so should Captivate in my view, given it's supposed to be among or overall ahead of the leading products. Seamless audio / video annotation is a very common requirement nowadays.
