Recording voice messages

Does anyone know how I can record onto my pc voice messages which are currently saved in my phone?

Which phone are you using?
Not sure how you mean... Voice messages you've created on the recorder? Just send to pc via bluetooth/cable/infrared.
If you mean voicemail, there's no direct way of doing it - I would suggest calling your voicemail, record the call, then send that to the PC via bluetooth/cable/infrared.

  • Saving voice messages as texts

As a business user I get a lot of voice messages and I find it odd that Orange delete them after 7 days as sometimes they contain important information which I would like to save. If you would like this feature please also send feedback on the Apple feedback site- http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

Orange are completely disinterested. As the iPhone is so smart it would seem reasonable to assume that it should at least be able to record voice messages and store them. It's quite a basic aspiration really.

  • Texts converting to (unintelligible) voice messages

My iphone 4 texts are being received as garbled voice messages on my husband's new iphone. Any idea whether the problem is at my end or his?

  • I can record voice memos fine using the built-in iPhone 4 mic.  And my Bluetooth headset (Jawbone Era) works fine when I leave messages on voice mail systems etc. when calling on the iPhone 4.  However, I cannot record voice memos with my Bluetooth mic.

I can record voice memos fine using the built-in iPhone 4 mic.  And my Bluetooth headset (Jawbone Era) works fine when I leave messages on voice mail systems etc. when calling on the iPhone 4, so it appears my headset mic is fine.  I can also use voice activated dialing, although it fails miserably interpreting numbers.  However, I cannot record voice memos with my Bluetooth mic.   I just get barely audible static.  Any suggestions?   Thanks.

Hello, did you ever get an answer to your question? I just picked up a Jawbone Era and using on an iPhone 4s running 5.0.1. Seems to work fine on regular calls, but not on the built in Voice memos application. It worked fine on my older Jawbone Icon, but haven't tested on the 4s or iOS 5.
    Thanks!

  • I recently swapped providers but didn't think about recording my saved voice messages before doing so.  Is there any way to get those personal treasures back?

Due to family troubles I dropped out of a family plan and picked up with another provider.  I had voices messages of my girls when they were very young on my answering machine that I had saved for years; now I'm unable to access them.  Is there a way to get those back?  Thank you!

    Probably NOT gone yet...
If you hurry you might be  able to get them. They are only saved for so long...
    I was told by verizon:
"You can access your old voicemails by calling 812-320-2957, and just use your voicemail password to access the messages." for a short period of time (mine was 2 weeks, but it may depend on where your bill falls etc...)  This should be the usual password you use to call voicemail.
You will have to use an app to record it or like do it like me.  I'm simply going to put it on speakerphone and record it with my camcorder and another phone...

  • I have an iphone 4, how do I take stored voice messages and record them to a stick?

I have an iphone 4, how do I take stored voice messages and record them to a stick?  A family member passed away and I want to keep their voice.

    Hey there!
Sadly, there is no way to do this.
I'm sad to hear you've lost a familymember.
Try this: Move in a quiet-room. Play his/her voice over speaker of your iphone and record it with free recording-softwarefor windows or mac.
Hope this will help you keeping the memory.

  • My iPhone 4S has stopped recording voice mail messages. How can I fix?

My iPhone 4S (sprint) has stopped recording voice mail messages. The phone is 2 months old and it stopped about a month ago, but it took me several weeks to realize that there was a problem as I initially thought that callers just weren't leaving a message. I have now tried to leave myself voice messages and confirmed that it's showing up as a voice mail but failing to record it. Has anyone ever encountered this problem and if so, what is the fix?

No iPhone records voicemail messages.  Visual voicemail is simply an interface to the carriers voicemail servers.
Contact the carrier to troubleshoot the issue with their voicemail.

I HAVE CREATED VIDEO RECORDING FOR THIS ERROR & WORKING PART OF THE CONFIG TO GIVE YOU A BETTER IDEA OF THE PROBLEM.
Its 7 MB Recording. I hope you can easily Download.

  • Iphone only sending 10 second voice messages in apps?

    Hello,
I have tried searching the internet of course; but only turned up a bunch of people having the same problem as me but no solution.
I have an iphone 5s and for some reason when I use any App that allows me to send voice messages it stops recording and sends it at 10 seconds.
This happens for Whatsapp, Telegram, Wechat, etc...
Anyone know why its only allowing me to send 10 second messages? This is not a problem on my iPhone 5 and has never been before until recently.
Any suggestions or help from someone who fixed this issue would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks so much!

It appears it might actually be the screen protector. Try this to get past ten seconds and in fact go as long as you like. Just move your finger around very slightly as you hold the mic icon. This keeps the screen sensing your input. If I stop moving at any point the message stops exactly ten seconds later in both imessage and whatsapp. I have a glass protector.  Might have or try without sometime

  • Options for pre-recorded voice paging

What options are there for pre-recorded voice paging on Cisco Phone Systems.
We are running Cisco Unity Express 3.1 on a Cisco 2851 and I have a ATA186 that connects to a PA System that has an extension assigned to it.
So what I would like to do is select between 2 or three pre-recorded messages and play it over that extension.
I know Informacast will do it but that is a little expensive in my opinion for what I want to do.

Take a look at SynApps SA-Announce and Broadcast Manager: http://syn-apps.com
Both are great products, compatible with CME, and are typically cheaper than other options.

  • How do I forward a large voice message (45 minutes) to another iPhone?

The voice message is actually a recorded conference call.  The response from iOS is the file is too large.  We would like to keep the entire message.  There are alternative functional means allowable.
Since iOS is UNIX based, my thoughts would be getting into a file format, getting it to a server, and treating the content as a large file.
But I don't know how to get started.

Can you transfer/forward the VM via your carriers voicemail options?  Try calling your VM and navigating though the options.

  • Voice messages

Can I use Lookout to dial out through the modem and deliver voice
messages (pre-recorded) to a regular telephone line in case of certain
    error conditions. Any ideas?

Lookout is known to work with third-party telphone alarms systems like Win911
and ScadaAlarm. Please check the following links for more info':

    >>I too wish that the feature you described was programmed into Lookout as
an object--or as a Fieldpoint module. Unfortunately, you can only do numeric
or alphanumeric pages. If you have a permanent connection to the Internet,
    you have many more options.
If you only have a dial-up connection, one possible workaround is to send
your measured (and possibly processed) signals as outputs to a phone dialer>such
as a Sensaphone 2000(no endorsement implied)- this is a "relatively" inexpensive
    solution (~$
1400-there are cheaper models available). The Sensaphone does
the dialout and can report analog values through the phone.
As an aside, in the case of alarm reporting, given the limited number of
input signals (8) on the Sensaphone, if you have many outputs to report via
voice, you can consolidate them by reporting location or priority instead
    of actual values.
Although, it is somewhat expensive and silly to buy analog outputs (digital
outputs are a cheaper alternative) just so you can feed them back into another
device (lots of A/D and D/A conversion), this should solve the problem.
    Hope this helps,
    Scott

  • Can Firefox be made to play Facebook voice messages?

I have noticed that the some months old feature of Facebook, the voice messages, hasn't been updated into Firefox code so that Firefox can play the .mp4 voice messages that the mobile Facebook Messenger records. So now, a rival browser opens it, but Firefox doesn't and i am a die hard Firefox user, so i have to listen to voice messages through my mobile device, which is time-consuming. Would you consider a fix for it, or can you show me one, as a plugin or codec maybe?

You could send a voice message through your mobile device using Facebook Messenger to one of your friends. Afterwards, you can try hearing it.
All i get on my computer is a rolling sign of the voice message loading, but nothing after it. It is really annoying and i consider it really time consuming :( Thanks for the answer though!

  • Need help re changing voice message.

Need some help re changing my voice message.  I follow the instructions which I found online and when I go Voice button that is ok, I then go to the Voicemail button as directed.  Then told to press the Greeting button in the top left corner.  I do not know why but when I press the Voicemail button it just goes immediately to retrieving voice messages.  There is no option to press a Greeting button.  Does anyone know why this would happen and provide me with instructions to find the Greeting button.   Many thanks if anyone can assist.

I don't really understand Ocean20.  Why give instructions on simply being able to change the message on the phone.... to having to contact my carrier.  You would think that changing the message on the phone would not have anything to do with the carrier.
It is your carrier's voicemail system.
Try this... (this is on my AT&T iPhone)
    Open the Phone app.
    Tap Voicemail at bottom.
    Tap Greeting at top left.
Tap Custom to record a new greeting.

  • I want to save some voice messages.

I want to permanently save some voice messages from my phone. I've been looking for an answer as to how I'm going to be able to do this. I want them saved on a different media so I can erase them off my phone.
The voice messages are proof for something. Will I be able to download them to a thumb drive or even into my email somehow?
    I would appreciate any feedback.

Are you using Verizon's voicemail system? If so, it will most likely cost you some money to have these messages saved.
    From Verizon's voicemail help pages
"Can I have a permanent copy made of a Voice Mail message?Yes, permanent copies of your Voice Mail messages can be made in many ways but you can have CBW Productions, Inc. make a copy for you at a minimal fee. Go to CBW Productions and select the format you wish to use for your message archive. This is not a Verizon Wireless service and before any Voice Mail messages can be copied, you must register with CBW. If you do not have Internet access, you can contact CBW directly and place a phone order Monday through Thursday between 9am - 5pm EST and Friday 10am - 4pm at (800) 770-8046 or (877) 244-3222.Note: In order to have a copy of your message(s) made, you will be asked to provide CBW Productions, Inc. with your mobile phone number and Voice Mail password so they can access your mailbox. The message(s) you wish to have copied MUST still be present in your voice mailbox. If a message has already been deleted, it cannot be retrieved or copied. Your Voice Mail messages cannot be enhanced; therefore, any copies will be exactly what you hear in your mailbox; if the message that was left for you is garbled, the copy of the message will be as well. This archival service is not available for SMS (text) messages. CBW also provides Notary services for Voice Mail messages that are being archived.Back to top
How much does it cost to have a message copied?Messages saved as MP3 files and delivered via email*

Of course, if you are using a different voicemail service such as Google Voice or Youmail, you can simply save the MP3 file.
Another option would be to use a jack going from your phone to your computer to record the voicemail as it is playing on your handset.
    Good luck.
