Recording without sound

I am trying to record a video without sound with my iphone 5. I recently downloaded camera plus pro, hoping that it has that feature, but couldnt find it.Can you help me find it or can you let me know if there is another option. Don't want to buy another app though.

Hey,
Camera Plus Pro saves all photos and videos to Quick Roll library, within the app.
Hence, to transfer these photos and videos you will have to initially copy them to iPhone's Camera Roll library.
Follow the steps below to transfer photos to your Mac:
1. Launch Camera Plus Pro app and go to Quick Roll library.
2. Here tap on Sync All button in the bottom bar to copy all items to iPhone's Camera Roll. (See screenshot below)
3. Once done, you can connect your iPhone to Mac and transfer required photos and videos.
4. On your Mac, import the photos using iPhoto or Image Capture app.
Alternatively, you can also use Wi-Fi/FTP transfer method for wirelessly transferring photos to your Mac.
To know about this, download the User Manual for CP Pro here. <http://www.globaldelight.com/iPhone/camerapluspro/cppmanual.zip>
Hope it helps.

  • Video recording without sound when blutooth connected

    Hi,
I tried to record a video on my Sony Xperia Z1 and my blutooth headset happened to be on by accident. No sound was recorded. As soon as I turned off the blutooth headset sound was recorded. I would prefer to use my built in mic for recording. Also tried to turn off "media audio" in the blutooth settings but no difference.
    Regards,
    JanL
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

If you have a Bluetooth headset connected it will always use the microphone in the headset for audio recording and from what I can see there is no way to disable this short of temporarily turning Bluetooth or disconnecting the headset sorry.

    is it possibe?
    if so how ?

It is no different thing than Flash or Flex apart from the libraries/Classes which will help you interact with the Native OS.
Few additional features AIR will provide are
    File handling,
    Database connectivity,
Native OS API's like accessing Clipboard,
    Native dragging,

  • My recorded footage without sound will not play, but will when recorded with sound, any ideas?

    Hi there community!
I have recorded alot of footage on a digital Harinezumi 3 camera and have run into a problem in post production.
Some of the footage is recorded with sound, and plays fine.  However, with most of the footage, i chose to turn the recording of sound off.  These files without sound will not play in any player, even when Perian is installed.
These are the specs of the video I have been able to find out.
    File type: .AVI
    Video Stream: JPEG
This is all I can find out, so I am thinking it is an M-JPEG file rendered as an AVI file.  VLC player says it can not play the video or audio format 'undf', whatever that means.  Another player says it needs a .moov encoder, but I do not see how this is possible.  I have also tried attaching audio to it via Logic 9 with no success.
I am at a loss, and I really need this footage for a project.  Any ideas?
    Thanks for any help!!

It won't let me post the video in the forum, so here is a link to it in dropbox.
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/k4nz8mg18p4thzd/Mountain%203.AVI?n=145237283
Accessed the file at dropbox. Played the DropBox "display" file in scripted player, played the same resource file using the Safari plug-in, and then downloaded the resource file using the QT 7 Pro "Open URL" option only to learn that this file was an H.264 transcode and not your original file. Used the DropBox download option to download the original Motion JPEG file in AVI file container. File plays as is in both QT X v10.2 and QT 7 v7.6.6 players under Mountain Lion v10.8.4 on my system.
Motion JPEG is one of the "lagacy" codec components turned off under Lion and which remains turned off under Mountain Lion. However, as I understand it, Motion JPEG files are supposed to be passively supported (playback supported) under these systems but requires the codec to be turned back on if you wish to export files using this codec. I turned both Motion JPEG and Motion PNG codecs back on quite a while back and have Perian installed which, as you can see, supplied the OpenDML version of the Motion JPEG codec component to actually play your file on my system. Unfortunately, since QT uses a LIFO codec component list generation strategy, I would have to remove Perian to test whether or not the system configured Motion JPEG component would then become the active decoder. (Did this a year or two ago but not willing to do so again at this time.)
Suffice it to say, the file should play in QT on your Mountain Lion system assuming the correct version of Perian is installed, it is actually active, and you have no conflicting software or hardware installed on your system. Have posted an MOV file containing your Motion JPEG video data in case you want to see if it will play correctly on your system.

  • How can I record video without sound?

I would like to record videos without audio on my iphone? Is their a way to record videos without sound in the default camera app? If not than does any one know of any apps that can?

Do you happen to have your phone set for mute?  Apparently (with the Note 3) this would also mute recording of sound in videos.  Using normal recording mode?    Slow mo and other modes may not record sound either.

  • Xperia Z2 Cannot record audio sound louder than a bird chirping without distortion!!

Seriously Sony My Nokia 808 Pureview recorded Loud Concerts perfectly!!! Amazing that i spent 450 Euros on the new Z2 Xperia and the audio recording isnt bad is ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC!! Why have 4K Video if u cant record the sound. Even at a sports event it sounds Horrible... I NEVER had this problem on my Nokia Pureview... PLEASE FIX THIS!!! IT is totally unacceptable for a Flagship device!!

Because the CEO of Nokia is a moron that should have put ANDROID in the Pureview and that would sell a million units!!
But lastly Windows phone has NO let me repeat NO good apps!! If the Apps were equal, I would have absolutely no issue with getting a Nokia Lumia ahnds down!...You cant even get Tinder on a Windows phone!

  • Recording of Covert Affairs without sound

Two of my last three recordings of Covert Affairs, USA channel, on my Tivo have been without sound.  This has not happened with any other program.  Has anyone else had this happen?  I have no idea how this might happen - twice.
    thanks

Yes, we had the very same problem.

  • [Solved] ffmpeg records no sound

I use the following string to record a video with ffmpeg:
    ffmpeg -f alsa -ac 2 -i hw:0,0 -f x11grab -r 30 -s 1920x1080 -i :0.0 -acodec pcm_s16le -vcodec libx264 -preset ultrafast -threads 8 output.mkv
I only have alsa, no PulseAudio or OSS stuff.
I've been trying everything I managed to find through google but nothing seems to work. General sound output works, I can listen to music and do all my stuff like I'm used to, I just can't get ffmpeg to record my sound.

    I'm using the latest ffmpeg-git with x264-git. (I compiled it correctly, so I don't think it's a build issue.)
I tried using -i default, -i sysdefault and -i plughw:0,0 instead of -i hw:0,0. I also tried various hw:0,1 etc. combinations, because I was fustrated and didn't know how to continue. I also tried recording only the sound, without the video, but nothing works at all.
Only the video runs perfectly fine. Please help.

Recording sound directly while playing something works with the following .asoundrc script:
    pcm.!default
    type file
    slave.pcm
    type plug
    slave.pcm
    type hw
    card 0
    device 0
    subdevice -1
    file /dev/shm/audio.raw
    format raw
I then convert the raw file with ffmpeg from RAM. This is extremely annoying though, because the audio file isn't synced to the video. But IT WORKS. I want a solution with ffmpeg though, I have gathered more information, if somebody is interested:

Is there any way to add Item 'IEC958 Default PCM' to numid=28,iface=MIXER,name='Input Source'? I tried recording from 'Line' but it doesn't work.
Am I doing something wrong? I'm still digging mad for a solution, and only the .asoundrc script works this far.

  • Openshot and kdenlive render without sound

    Hi
It has been a long time [a few months] since I have not used Kdenlive.
When I rendered a movie with a mp3 sound track [ songs especially ] I got the film with this sound track.
    Now are occuring 2 things:
The final movie is without sound [during the edit, there is no problem, I can hear the track, move it where I want, putting effects on it without any problem],
the time counter is wrong, it does not show the video time correctly, I mean the time counter will be stuck at 0 second, then will jump to 6 seconds and son on for example.
These things happened in OpenShot too, actually I tried OpenShot editing my new clip and I found these issues. I thought it was specific to OpenShot and I remade my clip with Kdenlive.
    Any clue?
    Thx in advance
    Serge

I would like to ask the following question. I am using mac os x 10.9 maverics me quicktime player version 10.3. Can I trim a video recording without having to press the pause or save it as a file? Or can I add a new recording to a video file? Thanks in advance

    Well,
I tried the "Internet Recovery" option and finally saw Mac OS X Mountain Lion's install page but after waiting 7 hours when I just thought its going to start installing, I got another progress bar with 36 hours remining time to download "Additional Components" then after progressing 2-3 hours, it shows "Unable to write installation something..., Contact Apple Care"
Then I accidently rebooted the machine and now it seems Internet Recovery don't work anymore, it shows "support.apple.com - 40 something!" error, and finally when I tried to reboot using Recovery HD, I found it's gone as-well!
To be honest, I don't know what to do now, I am and dissapointed... also I do not have any Apple Store nearby, there is an authorized country reseller almost 650/km far away from my residents and they even charges too high (like $250) for doing such repairs (as per phone conversation)
If anyone have any idea or anything to help me with, please do share- I'd be eternally grateful!

  • New Problem - video loads, plays a bit, pauses, then plays without sound.

On the first time that I used the TV-Out feature of the iPod, videos that normally were playing properly started to lag. The video would play about 15 seconds, then stop playing for a few seconds, then start again, but without sound. I just thought it might be because of the TV-Out feature, but after that incident, a large amount of my videos have been doing this, without using the TV-Out.
My first use of the tv-out feature was around the time that I first updated the iPod firmware. I now realise that I have no need of the updated firmware, so would be willing to restore the iPod to factory settings, but would rather get some opinions first.
Although these videos had played normally before, now they (and most all videos I have added since), do this when playing:
Load up normally, play normally for about 15 seconds, pause and do nothing, then continue playing but without sound. If I use the clickwheel to skip ahead after it pauses, it will play normally for another 5 seconds or so and then pause and cut the sound again.
I had not experienced anything like this before that first time I used the TV-out capability. Nor had I experienced it before updating the iPod. Now, many, but not all of my videos are doing this.
Oh, it seems only the videos longer than 10 minutes are doing this... all the others work... some more testing would be needed to be certain. Video podcasts are playing fine. So... anyone else had this happen?

This problem seems to occur for the 60GB models that are using the new firmware 1.1. It has been posted all over google and the only fix to this problem is to downgrade to 1.0. The problem is reported as not to affect the 30GB models but there are a few videos on my ipod (30GB) that suffer from this as well. I haven't downgraded by 30GB one to check if it fixes it, but I can assure you that it will fix the problem for the 60GB one (I used to have that one before).

  • When downloading from a Sony minidisc video camera, the picture is downloading but without sound.  Previously, it had downloaded successfully both sound and picture.  I have subsequently upgraded to Lion X (10.7.4).  Is there some problem with the driver?

When you have kernel panics, the pertinent information is in the panic report.
These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
    In the Console window, select
DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION ▹ System Diagnostic Reports
(not Diagnostic and Usage Messages) from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
              View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points down. You'll see a list of reports. A panic report has a name that begins with "Kernel" and ends in ".panic". Select the most recent one. The contents of the report will appear on the right. Use copy and paste to post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot.
If you don't see any reports listed, but you know there was a panic, you may have chosen Diagnostic and Usage Messages from the log list. Choose DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION instead.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)
Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report.
I know the report is long, maybe several hundred lines. Please post all of it anyway.

  • Cannot record ingame sound with glc (-git)

I have a problem with recording ingame sound with some games with glc (well, glc-git). glc says, it can record sound from games, if they use alsa (or sdl and forcing sdl to use alsa). As long as I don't use pulseaudio, this shouldn't be a problem. But for some games, I can't get the sound recording to work. The 2 at the moment are:
    FTL
    Amnesia: The Dark Descent
I usually get a message like this:
    [ 1.46s alsa_hook error ] 0xa8a8170: unsupported audio format 0x0e
    [ 1.46s alsa_hook error ] 0xa8a8170: can't extract hardware configuration: Operation not supported (95)
I can record the game, but not the audio. If someone can help or test it, if it works for him, that might be nice. Or if someone knows a workaround or so. Or if someone can confirm, that there is no audio recording for those 2 games (but I actually don't wanna hear it... :-) ).
Also there are plenty of games, I got the audio recording to work with. You can see it in my youtube-channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/ChemBroTronNo1

doorknob60 wrote:Do you use 64 bit? I don't have a copy of Amnesia downloaded right now, but if Amnesia is a 32 bit binary game, and you use 64 bit, you need to make sure you have the proper 32 bit libraries. lib32-glc will probably be enough.
That's not the issue, the problem is that some games are firing 32-bit float audio (0x0e type as indicated in the error) into ALSA through whatever means, and the standard GLC only supports 16, 24 and 32bit signed int audio. My fork above adds very rudimentary support for float.
