Records Management instance node for report

Hello all!
I'm trying to set up a record model in SCASEPS transaction to start GM_BUDGET_OVERVIEW via a report Instance Node.
In the Instance Node attributes I've set CSELNAME PVERSION=0. Now I'm trying to fill in automatically the Grant number (which is the same as the Reference number) with the "VSELNAME PGRANT=" but I can't find the technical name of the attribute for documentid which is in the function module GM_RMGRANT_RECORD_CREATE.
Can anybody help me please?
Thanks in advance!
Bye!
Max

Hello all!
I finally found it. The attributes of the record are in the PHIO classes of the SRM entity in the DMWB (SRM_GENERIC_PH_V -> SRM_RECORD_PH_V -> SRM_RECP00).
Have a nice day.

  • Records Management - Service provider for HR

    Hi,
    I'm trying to create a service provider for HR, but i cant get i to work. I won't display in the RM browser.
    I have read the documentation, and hopefully set the right parameters, but i still can't use it.
    Any tips or tricks?
    Espen

    Found the answer - the documentation is wrong.
    The documentation says that one should not enter a value in RFC destination if working on the same system.
    This is incorrect - the value NONE has to be entered for RFC dest, same as for the other service provicers.

  • ISSUE Sharepoint 2013 databases for reporting services on the second server SQL 2012

    Hello,
    I have server A: Operating system windows 2012 standard, SQL server 2012 standard
    instance: Sharepoint contains data for sharepint
    instance: Reporting should be contain databases for reporting
    Server B:
    Windows server 2012 standard contains installation Sharepoint 2013
    Sharepoint works (without reporting services), it is OK - databases are located on server A:
    My issue is:
    When I have installed reporting services on server B, I have already installed SQL server 2012 on server B, it works.
    I am able to create report in report builder adn place it in to sharepoint.
    But I would like to use only one full SQL machine on server A:
    When I reconfigure repoting settings on server A in central administration - manage service aplications,
    On the SQL server A in instance reporting , there is automatically created databases. It is no problem.
    But the first difference is, when I want to manage service aplication for reporting  in
    Provision Subscriptions and Alerts, there is information
    SQL Server Agent state cannot be determined
    When I want to create report in report builder, I have issue:
    server A-7380mw016\reporting it means server A with full SQL server:
    The Test of connection was successful
    Then I have clicked test connection
    I have recieved this screen with fail: Logon faild for user NT Authority\anonymous logon
    My account belongs to SQL admin on server A (A-7380mw016\reporting) I do not know it is not possible to create report, when it is possible to test connection in the first step and in the second step, there is problem...
    Please, can somebody help me?

    Hi,
    Since you are getting an Anonymous Logon error, it appears there may be a problem passing your credentials to the SQL Server Agent Service. This would indicate a Kerberos issue. See this thread for details:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/sharepoint/en-US/46b7c773-6a77-435d-b471-cb9a6ec41c43/has-anyone-else-upgraded-reporting-services-to-denali-2012

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/video/Video/hh858469
    Tips from the video:
    We are connecting to Reporting services using Kerberos when using Reporting Services in SharePoint integrated mode
    For the account using reporting services, we just need a dummy SPN. We go to Attribute editor tab in AD for RS account. And then we will be enabled with Delegation tab.
    In Delegation tab. I we are using claims to windows token, we need to use "Trust this user for delegation to specified services only"
    There you have 2 options: "Use Kerberos only": It means I only want to delegate in the situation where the service that is doing the delegation actually has the Kerberos ticket to start with
    "Use any authentication protocol" When we need protocol transition (like from NTLM to claims for intra farm communication)
    We need to delegate this to SQL server.

  • How can I create a model node in SAP Records Management

    Product: SAP Records Management
    Hi,
    I would like to create a model node in a record tree.
    I found in the function modul BAPI_RECORD_ADDELEMENT no entry for the creation of a model node. Only the instance and the structure node can create by this function modul.
    So, does anyone know a solution to create a model note?
    Regards,
    Thomas Fanninger

    Hi Thomas,
    it is not possible with the BAPI due to the piece of coding:
    case  myElementType.
            when glob_const_elem_type_instance.
              myRecordElement->Type_Set( if_srm_sp_record_element=>type_instance ).
              myRecordInstanceElement ?= myRecordElement.
              loop at element_sp_poid into myElementSpPoidWa.
                mySpPoidWa-id = myElementSpPoidWa-name.
                mySpPoidWa-value = myElementSpPoidWa-value.
                insert mySpPoidWa into table myElementSpPoidTab.
              endloop.
              myElementSpsId = sps_id.
              myElementPoid = myClientService->poid_get_instance( im_rms_id  = myRmsId
                im_sps_id  = myElementSpsId  im_sp_poid = myElementSpPoidTab ).
              myService->check_sp_connection( myElementPoid ).
              myRecordInstanceElement->poid_set( myElementPoid ).
            when glob_const_elem_type_folder.
              myRecordElement->Type_Set( if_srm_sp_record_element=>type_folder ).
            when others.
              perform set_error using '852' return.
              return.
          endcase.
    But you can do that by using directly the Records API. How to use this is demonstrated in the report 'SRM_RECORD_API_HOWTO'. Search there for the subroutine 'fillrecordelement'. There a record element for insert is created and its type is set. You can set the type there to 'IF_SRM_SP_RECORD_ELEMENT~TYPE_MODEL'. Of course your POID then may not be an instance POID.
    Best regards,
    Thomas

  • Records Management   -   Adapter for UCM

    Hi there,
    I am having troubles understanding how the Records Management Adapter for UCM works:
    1. I have installed URM on a separate instance and have defined retention categories there.
    2. I installed the Adapter on a UCM instance and pointed it to the URM instance.
    3. It copied the categories over BUT
    4. Only those categories that allow for non-record items show up in the LifeCycle field as the view of the field does filter out all other categories.
    So I have not figured out how I can make a content item a record. It that possible at all. Or does this set up of
    - one URM instance and
    - a second UCM + Adapter instance
    only support lifecycle management?

    Hi There;
    I am having troubles with the Records Management Adapter for UCM too. Also i am having troubles to defined retention categories and configure the retention schedules too. The documentation is not helping in anything about this troubles. Does anyone knows some better documentations about that?? Thanks a lot!!

  • Records Management: Model for customer - project - records hierarchy

    Hello,
    starting with RM I just created a static structure for customer data. This works pretty well at the beginning level.
    Now I would like to add a hierarchy to the customer data. The next level in the structure should be projects with the project that are associated with the customer. The projects are managed with PS. So every time a PSP element is created on a special level will automatically create some model nodes with elements (offer, order, .. ). Under the level of the projects there should be records like offer, order, ..
    Could someone could give me some hints how to solve this, please? What is the best practice for something like that?
    Is this the right forum for this question?
    Thanks a lot,
    Vanessa

    Dear Vanessa,
    Unfortunately, we have not been able to get an exclusive forum for RM hence, a post anywhere with Records Management or Case Management will be good(I generally search for questions on these keywords).
    For your question - adding a new sub-structure to the same record or case everytime there is a project etc is created is technically not feasible. Even if you make this feasible by programming it will be very difficult to maintain. I would recommend to have an object(record or case) for every sub-structure that needs to be created with a separate record model for the sub-structure.
    For eg - if you need to create & add a new sub-project to a main project every time for an event, then instantiate an object(record/case) & then add it to the project record.
    Some points to consider - recommendation is to not to have more than 1000 objects linked to any one folder as after that time consumed to expand the folder becomes visibly high for the user.
    Hope this helps...
    Best Regards,
    Pragya

  • Any 3rd party solutions for reports management?

    We have a small IT team, trying to manage a lot of reports.  We have 3 people that create reports.  Right now there are about 400 reports that are actively being used.  The problem is that up until now we have not had documented standards for report design and no documentation on the reports that have been created.  I am new to the company and am trying to get the reports under control.  I'm a relative newbie when it comes to Crystal.
    We really have several issues. The 2 most critical are:
    gathering documenation on what views, tables, etc. are used in our reports (any way to do that without going into each report, one by one?)
    Standardizing the look and feel of each report.
    I have been able to put in a report counter which updates a record in our database everytime the report is run so I can target the more important reports, as well as finding reports which are not utilized.
    Any ideas?  The first idea I had, was to hire someone to solely focus on reporting issues, but that's nto going to happen.
    Scott

    Hi Scott,
    One option that quite a few of our customers use is a tool called Source Safe. It's the control program that comes with Microsoft Visual Studio. It allows you to check in and out code and manage changes. It can also be used for files like Reports.
    Check Microsoft's site for more info on how to and what it can do...
    Others may have suggestions also.
    Thank you

  • Strategies for report management?

    Folks -- I'm a newbie to development, and to reports development, and to  Crystal.  So I know how thrilled y'all will be to work with me!
    I am responsible for report development for a new HRIS system we're implementing.  We have Crystal Reports (XI rel 2) and the "eval" 5-user version of Crystal Reports server that comes with it.  Right now, I'm trying to use that for report distribution, though I'll probably have to learn Visual and move that way for more widespread distribution.
    In the meantime, the onslaught of report requests is overwhelming me -- not only in terms of getting them done, but in terms of MANAGING them.
    With Crystal Server, my files are saved to this weird directory structure (like c$\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\FileStore\Input\a_012\019\000\4876\crypticname.rpt).
    I'm trying to find an easy yet logical way to manage the REQUESTS, DEVELOPMENT, and finalization of all of my reports (I will have, probably, 50-100 when all done, but they're constantly changing).
    I tried keeping a "local" folder structure and then only moving them to the server when they're "finalized."  This is proving difficult, because of the "urgent" change requests that come in (we're not in a highly-structured environment).
    I would love to hear how others manage their reports inventory.  Have you built a database (using what?)?  Bought a product?    I'm just coming up clueless on the best/easiest way to do this!
    Thanks
    MK

    Hi Kent,
       What a brave guy !
    First off, you need to a simple, consistent, helpful way to deal with the users requests.
    You need a report requirements sheet.
    This sheet will contain things like:
    -Purpose of report
    -Report Title (...this is more important than you might think.
         For instance, if it's and inventory report, you might want all in this group to start with "INV", like "INV_Fall_Summary", etc.
    That way, they are all listed together in the folder, db, etc.)
    ...then table.field + filter like...
    -Table.field  > 5
    -Table.filed between 2 and 8
    ...then, when someone wants a report, they fill out the requirements sheet and hand it to you.  Also include a place for them to sign it.  Most people are pretty cool, but occasionally your boss says "..they say that's not what they asked for..."
    and you can say "...is this their signature ...?"
       If they want a change, they fill out a change request.
    Both the requirement sheet and change request make the user thing about what they are asking you for.  What you DON'T want, is for someone to just drop by your desk and say "hey, can write me up a quick one on blah, blah..."...'cause, sure enough, they'll walk away and you'll be stuck just trying to remember a part of what they said...even worse, they won't remember it all either.
    Happy Hunting,
    The Panda
    ...then you need report standards like...
    -Report Title: Arial 16 Bold

  • How to get blank records at the start of report output for label sheet?

    Hello -
    What is the best way to get an arbitrary # of blank records at the start of report output?
    I am writing a report that will be printed out on label sheets -- some of which might already be used. For example, there might be 3 labels per page but the first 2 have been used the last time the report was run.. so the report needs to display 2 blank records first so that the first record that gets printed on a label is in the 3rd position on the page. (the user would indicate - through a parameter - what the starting postion would be)

    Hi Scott
    Create a user parameter that reads in the number of blanks you need to 'print' before starting the actual printing.
    In the Format trigger of the outermost frame of your report write code using SRW.SET_BEFORE_PRINTING_CODE.
    Loop this method based on the user parameter and call this method with skip-line-command of your printer as its argument.

  • TREX index for Records management in CRM

    Hi All,
    Hopefully this is the correct forum to post this question, if not please let me know the correct one.
    Does anyone have any information on linking TREX to RMPS?
    This is to resolve an issue where the case search on business partner first and last name fields are case sensitive in the electronic desk.  In the DMWB we have ticked the Index-Relevant option but have been advised that we also need the link to TREX.
    I have set up a TREX search index for the Solutions database in the past but setting this up for Records management doesn't seem to be as easy.
    Many thanks in advance.

  • Solution Manager 4.0 BI Reporting Content for SP13

    Hi,
    I'm looking for a listing of BI Reporting Content for Solution Manager 4.0 SP13.  I've heard rumors that standard BI Reporting content exists for the Change Request Management and Service Desk domains, but all I can find are references for system and performance report content for SP12.
    See the matrix of content listed in help.sap.com at this url... <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm40/helpdata/en/44/1ed74368b66491e10000000a1553f7/content.htm">SP12 SolMan BI Reporting Content from help.sap.com</a>
    Any guidance for standard BI reporting content for SolMan Change Request Management or Service Desk domains would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Josh

    I was on session LCM264 - Reporting and Performance Analysis Using SAP NetWeaver BI at TechED and there was no talking about Change Request Management or Service Desk reporting.... This doesn't mean it's not available but I have never heard about it...
    I'm setting up Performance Analysis right now and it is working really fine.

  • IMPORT_FUNCTION in content model for Records management

    Hello!
    I customized my own content model for documents with my own attributes, it works fine, and everything is ok... but when i define property IMPORT_FUNCTION in DMWB for my content model, it has dump with error "DP_ERROR_GENERAL" when i'm trying to save the new created document...  Even if i set function without code for attribute IMPORT_FUNCTION, it still has dump... why?
    i need to get info about uploaded file, such as path and etc... i have found this information only in this function.
    Thanks for any help...

    Hi Luk,
    The linkage of module may be very critical. But if you have a requirement for attaching the documents like photo,certificates or other documents related to employee to records management then you can create a radio button to recodrs management screen with help of abap'r and directly attach these documents to respective records management screen.
    for linkage it may not feasible or much critical.
    Hope this will help.

  • Is UDF required for this?!! or Can we manage with Node Functions?!!!

    HI Gurus,
    I have a requirement like below desc, Is UDF required for this?!! or Can we manage with Node Functions?!!!
    Source File: ( File )
    a) PO_TYPE
    b) Style1
    c) Style2
    Note: Style1 leads to Headernode and Style2 leads to ChildNode, Style1 and Style 2 are interconnected.
    Target File: ( Idoc )
    a) Header Node ( EHDRNDE)
    b) Child NOde ( CHLDNDE)
    And my question is.... I have to populate Header Node and Child Node in target side on certain conditions of the source file. they are;
    I) Whenver a different style1 comes in file...I have to create a Headernode for that in target file. Style1 can contain number of Style2 nodes with the same node. like
    Ex:
    i) Style1 -
    Style2a, Style2b, Style2c
    ii) Style1 ....... Style2aa, Style2ab.
    For this above requirement, I have to create corresponding target nodes for Header ( Style1 ) and as well as for Child ( Style2)
    for ex1: it should be one Header node in target and 3 corresponding child nodes
    for ex2 : It should be One Header Node and 2 child nodes
    For this requirement...can we use node functions....if it is...could you please help me.

    Hi,
    You can do it by using node function as well as UDF also.
    1) If your sequence is sorted and always come in sorted order only e.g. 1st come only style1 node and child node and then come all nodes from style 2 then u can use node function.
    2) for parent node use collpse context then remove context.
    3) for child node 1st differntiat according to your condition and then use split by value(value change)
    4) If occurance of style1 node and style2 node is not fixed then you don't have any option you have to write UDF.
    I think this will help you.

  • Problem with custom development for documents in Record Management

    In Record Management i have setup a record model. It contains Bor objects, documents, cases and so on.
    Each kind of record managent object has it own requirements.
    For the documents there is a requirement which demands that if the scandate is changed also the date till which the document must be helded in the system must be changed.
    This cannot be done automatically via default SAP and i don't want to let the customers do it there selfs, to much risk they make errors, so this must be done via custom development.
    The logic searches in a enhanced method for the right attributes from the importing list of available attributes of the particular document.
    This is going well in the development system but when i transport it to the test system it fails. I have noticed that the content of a custom developed field ( for example ZSCANDATE) is loaded well but a default field like SRM_DOM_STORAGE_START not. The systems returns an error that the description of the attribute is missing. When i look in the DMWB ( DocuMent WorkBench )  i dont see errors, but afcorse there is one.
    What can i have forgotten in my record management installation?
    Offcorse the test system is a copy of a working development system, but you have also some things that are system dependent. and i think i have forgotten some of those..
    If you have a idea let me know!
    kind regards,
    Anton Pierhagen.

    Hi BalusC,
    thanks for the quick answer. I tried it as you said and now I get a validation error in my h:messages tag on my jsf page after submitting the form. There are no errors in my JBoss console, just this one word on my jsf page. Do you have any idea what this could mean?
    My two lists look like this:
    private ArrayList<GroupBean> selectedItems = new ArrayList<GroupBean>();
    private ArrayList<SelectItem> allGroups = new ArrayList<SelectItem>();The allGroups list gets filled like this:
    for (GroupBean group: groups){
    allGroups.add(new SelectItem(group, group.getName()));
    }where groups is a simple collection of GroupBeans which I read from the database. This seems to be correct; at least my list of checkboxes shows the correct group names.
    Now here is my selectManyCheckbox:
    <t:selectManyCheckbox id="sensor_access" value="#{sensorBacker.selectedItems}" layout="pageDirection" layoutWidth="3">
    <f:selectItems value="#{sensorBacker.allGroups}"/>
    </t:selectManyCheckbox>Any idea what goes wrong here?
    Thanks for your help!
