Recover a deleted playlist in latest iTunes version

Hi
I accidentally deleted my burned MP3 playlist from iTunes and how do I recover it to burn some other MP3 CDs to give as a gift to my friends? I do not want to add songs again because there are very many songs in the playlist. Please help.
Thank you very much

If you notice your accidental deletion immediately, go to the Edit menu and use the Undo.
If it is too late for that, I think the only way is to copy the files back in from the burned disc.

  • What is feedback on latest iTunes version?

what is the current feedback on the latest iTunes version?

I updated yesterday, synced my iPhone afterwards, and this morning found one oddity which I just sat down to explore. I have two smart lists - within 2 weeks and within 2 months which contain music I've added within 2 weeks and within 2 months. The former is just fine. The latter however appears to contain every song on my iPhone.
My first stab at fixing this was to delete the playlist from my iPhone, sync, and then add it back. That didn't work so now I'm getting ready to remake the playlist in iTunes and then sync it. Other than that, which may not be related to the new iTunes at all, I'm happy and see no problems.

I just tried to install latest iTunes version and install failed. A pop-up stated "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. ERROR 7 (Windows error 1114)." I have a decent-sized iTunes library that is not backed-up to the cloud. How can I either get back to the previous iTunes version that was functioning OR install a new version without losing the Library?

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

While downloading the latest iTunes version, my computer turned off. When I opened iTunes, it says that "The file "iTunes Library.itl"  cannot be read  because it was created by a newer version of iTunes" Help please

That message is usually a sign that you tried to roll back to an earlier build of iTunes, but occasionally I've seen it connected to a new upgrade. This technique should fix things.
    Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!

  • How can I eliminate error in printing a cd jewel case cover in latest ITunes version?

How can I eliminate the printing error in Itunes when attempting to print a cd jewel case cover?  I'm using the latest iTunes version.

I finally solved this problem after toiling with it for a couple of days.  Solution:  Once you have  burned your CD you must go back into iTunes to your music/playlists and select the playlist you just burned and click file; print and you will  get the mosaics that we have been accustomed to.  I was on hold with  Apple Support when I found this myself.  Yes......!!! Problem solved..for me anyway.  Good luck!

I have downloaded the latest iTunes version and I have the following 2 issues:
    1. The artwork is not being updated correctly, a lot of songs are missing the artwork even if it shows on iTunes
    2. Around 400 songs are getting duplicated, and I haven't been able to deleted them, I've tried to manually manage song, I've also tried un sync music and syncagain but nothing seems to work, after the ipod deletes and adds everythin, all 400 songs are still duplicated.
I want to try to restore the ipod but I will loose all other contacts, apps info, etc...  Am i wrong?
    Please assist
    Thanks

Check if all your songs, apps and other files are on iTunes Media folder. If not, try to set it all up inside that folder.

  • Latest itunes version

HELP PLEASE !!! I upgraded to the latest itunes version a couple of days ago and getting desperate doing the most simple things, like putting a playlist together . Everthing is so unnecessarly complicated  For example, before, when i needed a special type of music I put some key word in the search field and would inmediatly get all the songs which I had commented or contained this word... eg,." emotion",   "serene" etc. This was really helpful for finding music very quickly  !
Now it only turns out the title containing this word !  This new version is NOT the usual user friendly mac style !
Is there any way to go back to the older version ? Please give me good news !

These are the updates. Nothing exciting (unless of course they directly affect you).

There are also reports on the iTFW forum that it solves the issue of iTunes crashing or freezing when the iPod is connected, but I've not seen that confirmed as of yet.

  • Just upgraded latest Itunes version & it doesn"t Sync

Just upgraded latest Itunes version & it doesn"t Sync  I tried reinstalling Itunes with the virus checker off. Also, I used cables instead of wifi but my ipad & Iphone still don't sync.  Any ideas  Thank You

    Hi am33m,
Sounds like iTunes Match hasn't sync'd the songs properly. Am I correct that on iOS devices the songs appear greyed out? I've had this problem as well recently. You could try going back to the computer you added the songs on, selecting them from your iTunes library and deleting them but telling iTunes to keep the files.
I did have some luck following the steps at https://discussions.apple.com/message/18597236#18597236 however that was short lived and stopped being effective shortly after. You may have more success.
    1. List all your songs in your library and right-click the column headers to show iCloud Status
    2. Sort by this column and look for all of the tracks at Waiting Status
    3. Select all of the tracks at Waiting Status, right click and delete them, click Delete Items on the first prompt as shown below (This won't delete your music from your computer):
    4. IMPORTANT: At the second prompt that appears after you click Delete Items select Keep Files
    5. Select Add to Library from the File menu and navigate to your iTunes folder in the Music under your Home folder.
Leave iTunes to rebuild your library (it might take a while if you have a lot of tracks that were at waiting status). Once it is complete, update iTunes Match once it's finished and it should upload the tracks
Following that process should rebuild the song information for those tracks in your iTunes library and may help iTunes Match sync up properly. If it doesn't let me know as there are some people including myself that haven't had much luck lately getting past this issue.

The iTunes application should be installed on the system drive. You may need to repair iTunes to fix that error regarding a missing .exe.

I downloaded the latest iTunes version and now get the following error message: "This copy of iTunes is corrupted or is not installed correctly. Please re-install iTunes." Can anyone provide suggestions on what I should do next?

Let's try a repair install of iTunes first.
Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "iTunes" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "iTunes", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
Can you launch your iTunes now?
