Recover Accidentally Deleted Icon (and I don't know which one it was)
I accidentally dragged an icon off of the dock and didn't see which one it was. It doesn't show up in my trash barrel. Anyway to recover or find out which icon it was?

Unless you have a backup of your drive to which you can boot and see which one is missing I doubt there is any way. It probably doesn't make any difference anyway. If you find you need something on the dock you can drag it there. Maybe eventually you'll notice which one it was that way.

Which sometimes stays in the address bar over a completely blank window, (like in the case stated above) and sometimes opens a download window, with the video in mp4. It suggests I open the file with VLC.
Is this a virus or something - or is it something an add-on would be responsible for?

Down them all
Download Helper
Flash Video Downloader (which recently got automaitically updated)
Download flash & video (forgot this add-on's name, that's what it says on the tool tip on mouse-over)
FlashGot
and GreasMonkey (but with only 2 scripts, and none of them related to videos, just IMDb fixer and Image enlarger)
I have the VLC Media Player Plug-in, could this be the reason this is happening?
I know what you're gonna say - try disabling them to see which one it is. It's complicated :) but I can't, I've got too many windows open, like 700, and shutting Firefox down or restaring it the normal way is near next to impossible sometimes :)
Another way is for me to save my session file and open a new session, and then disable add-ons one by one to see which one's to blame. It's even possible some of them are maybe incompatible with this version of Firefox.
So f someone can tell me if they're having the same problems, and maybe suggest a solution, I'd be happy to hear all about it.

No sound today. Maybe because I turned the sound off on a free game app yesterday but now don't know which one and probably deleted the app.
It's pamonvashon again (the person who posted the question). I fixed it so I'll tell you how in case it happens to you. I was correct. I went back and re downloaded the game, "Virble". At the beginning of the game o I used the buttons on the side of the phone to turn the sound off and on and the sound came on! A miracle! So beware of VIRBLE!!!

The MBP w/ Retina Display is 2.3GHz but the other without Retina Display is 2.6GHz. So I don't know which one would play games absolutely flawlessly. I wont have the screen resolution so high on the games though. So can someone reply and tell me which one I should get and why?
Mac's are generally not 3D gaming computers and laptops especially are not because 3D games require a upgraded video card to take advantage of newer games and more feature rich updates.
Only the Mac Pro can one change the video card, if one can find a upgrade for it.
If you really love 3D gaming, a Windows 7 3D gaming tower is your machine.

3D gaming on a Mac is sort of a second hobby, it's rather short lived as one can't replace the video card once a year, only with a new machine purchase.
Most 3D games are for Windows anyway and Apple almost demands OS X be upgraded to newer verisons annually now, so that sort of throws a monkey wrench into a Mac gaming rig with software upgrades and all. On the other hand Windows 7 is supported for a decade.
Mac's just don't work well with 3D gaming, perhaps a Win 7 tower and a iPad or something. -

Usually when someone mentions "passowrd" in a posting it will not be related to an Adobe product but to the machine that you are trying to implement some installation or update for. If you explain more about what you are trying to do and describe what you encounter it might be easier to determine what you are dealing with... include a screenshot to help explain as well if you can.

My dad updated a bunch of stuff on my computer including firefox and ever since then everything is terrible. I've lost all my bookmarks and history. None of my passwords are saved anymore. I need help. This is ridiculous, Firefox. Fix your crap before you make us put up with it.
Can you tell me how to go back to the version of Firefox I had before. I'm sorry, I can't tell you which one it was, I never paid attention. I've literally been crying in frustration for hours and I'm not good with computer lingo and my dad is out of town for several days. Is there any way to go back to the other version?

My son the forgot password on his ipod and it's disabled, but when we do the restore through itunes it says it can't because it's locked with a passcode. Then I found a link to a site that helps with firmware, but I don't know which firmware to pick? Please help!

DW 8.0 or CS3 - don't know which one I should get
Looking for advice on which DW version to go for. I'm
extremely new to DW and have designed many sites in the past using
FP, so it looks like I will be converting sites from FP to DW AFTER
I figure out what I am doing. I am confused on which DW I should
start learning. I got a book to help me learn the 8.0 version but
this was AFTER I saw there were no more trials for 8.0 and now I
have downloaded the free trial of the CS3 version and the book is
pretty much following along and have done a tutorial which turned
out good and was fairly easy to follow.
Is the CS3 version the newest and is it better than 8.0? Is
one harder than the other for beginners to learn? I've been doing
lots of searches on this forum as well as online but can't seem to
figure which is better and more user friendly. I'm seeing how
others are having problems with 8.0 and then also with the
additional download for 8.2 I think it was. I'm looking for some
expert advice from other users before I make the plunge and
purchase - which one ??DWCS3 is way different from DW8, but not in ways that
necessarily hit you in
the face. The integration with Photoshop, for example, is
excellent. The
CSS rendering is excellent (but could still improve). The CSS
editing is
WAY better.
I guess if you aren't using CSS, though, you wouldn't
appreciate these
differences....

It's not possible to view the code that was used to redeem an iTuness gift card but you can view your balance.
From the iTunes menu bar top of your screen click Store > Sign In
Select iTunes Store from the source list on the left.
Your balance should be available just above QUICK LINKS right side of the iTunes window.

Yikes - I "poofed" my user icon and I don't know how to restore it!
First, I accidentally "poofed" my fan-out folder that's next to the trash (i.e. pulled it off the dock and it disappeared). I tried to restore it by dragging the little house icon with my user ID from a Finder window, but it just "poofed" that as well!
Although I can still find my files if I do a search for them, I don't know how to access them directly. Can anyone help??

when starting my computer the screen is gray with two harddrives. One is named Macintosh HD and the other Recovery 10.9. My computer has never done this before! I am really worrid that my files will be lost if i choose to start the wrong harddrive. Which one should i choose? I can't find which carrier to use on my refurbished I phone 3 G. The screen says I need a sim card and has the message IMEI 01 181100 937 9394. Also ICCID unknown.
They are free at Corporate Verizon stores; retailers usually charge for them. You also can call Customer Service and have them send you one.
And you don't need a SIM card to activate an iPhone 4S on VzW's network.
