Recover Actions

I am a new mac user and just downloaded Photoshop Elements 11. I previously was using Elements 8. In trying to load some new actions I accidently deleted one of the pre loaded actions. How do I recover that action? I believe it was the lose weight 4%. I have already tried uninstalling the software and reinstalling and that did not fix the problem.

Click the flyout menu on the right of action panel and choose "Reset Actions".

  • Retry recovery action is taking long time to complete

    Hi,
    I am in the process of testing error handling for my BPEL process.
    As part of it, I have given the default recover action in the fault policy of the process as retry with a retry count of 3 times with retry interval as 2.
    To test this, i have changed the target end point uri of the target service to some invalid url and ran the process.
    First I was not able to find the BPEL process instance at all in the console.
    Later I was able to find the instance after half an hour. When I saw the instance, if retry had happened or not.
    I found that the retry happened for 3 times, but it took 30 mins for the first retry to complete and start the second retry.
    Can anyone please let me know why the retry is taking long time although the retry interval I gave is only 2 seconds.
    THanks in advance!!!!

  • Restoring offline log file

    Dear Friends,
    I am facing problem to restore last backuped offline log file.
    I have succefully completed homogeneous system copy (i.e. SAP ECC 6.0 with Oracle 10g on Wndows 2003 platform) through backup/restore procedure & system comes to consistent stage & able to login properly.
    Now I want to restore other offline redolog files in the above system.
    e.g. Previously I have imported log sequence upto 750. Now I want to recover logfiles from log seq. 751 onwards.
    Pls. help to recover other offline log files after system is consistent.
    Thanks in advance,
    Abhishek

    Not possible.
    Once you opened your database (and logged in successfully), no more recover actions can be done.

  • Finding the restore time of a datafile

    RDBMS version: 11.2.0.4
    Platform : Oracle Linux 6.4
    To test our RMAN Tape backup ( Netbackup ), we created a tablespace called BACKUPTEST with only one datafile.
    Then we removed the datafile. Then we succesfully restored and recovered the datafile using RMAN and tablespace was ONLINE again.
    I wanted to show the evidence to my manager that the datafile has been restored. But v$datafile.CREATION_TIME will only show the time when the tablespace was initially created. Is there any other way I could find the time when datafile has been restored other than RMAN log.
    Below is an excerpt after the datafile has been restored.
    $ sqlplus / as sysdba

    Session altered.

    CREATION_TIME    LAST_TIME

    SQL>
    19-12-2013 12:16 is the time when the tablespace was initially created with this datafile not the time it was restored from RMAN backup.

    Look at the alert.log.  It would have messages relating to the RESTORE and RECOVER actions.

    If you recorded and saved you actions you can load them. I you never saved actions you recorded or modified and you have a system backup you may be able to recover them from your backup.  Photoshop saves Actions you record or modify into you user ID Photoshop preference file "Actions Palette.psp"

    I have a contentious civil proceeding and need to be able to recover deleted emails from and to one specific email address. I've tried to recover the deleted email using backup and restore from iCloud but this really did nothing. Since they're my own emails - on my own account I figured some sort of process or legal request would suffice - but what kind of request, who do I make it to and who has to ask for it? Help!

    I prefer a clone/bootable backup ovver Time Machine myself.
    For TM you need a running OS, then time to restore, with a clone you can boot from that & keep working while doing the other when time is better. And you can test a clone before you need it.

  • Plugin or action to Autosave or Auto-Recover files??

    I know Adobe hasn't seen fit to include an autosave function in any version of Photoshop. I consider that the height of arrogance and stupidity. Some will argue the time it takes to auto-save files doesn't justify it's inclusion. The time and effort in creating the work is equal justification for such a feature. Why should I have to remember to save every 10 minutes or so when I have no idea when the silly program will suddenly crash on me for no good or explained reason? Why should I be put through that kind of stress that will affect my creative workflow?
    As an alternative it would be helpful to find some third party software, plugin that would do the same thing. It would be good if it could be set to a timed response. An action might do it but it still require manual activation. Perhaps someone knows of a script that could be written? Any ideas or suggestions other than "tough it out" and "you can't do that, too bad" would be appreciated.

    Control-S is not a plug-in and not a script.
    Of course it is not. I was taking a bit of a license there. However, it is the answer to the problem, is it not? It's simple, fast, and you know that you will have an interruption, when you invoke it, so you can pause, and not get caught in the middle of an intricate Selection, or some other operation, where you might, in fact, loose all of the work/time that you have invested.
    That is why Adobe has chosen (for all these years) to not implement an AutoSave.
    As the program can never be sure when you are done working on something, or are just relaxing your hold on your stylus, it would never know when it was "safe" to AutoSave. Some of my Selections take hours to create. I'd hate to loose them, because I was not done yet, and the AutoSave kicked in during that Selection, only saving part of it.
    For tiny, simple images, it'd not likely be a problem. Some would likely benefit. I'd have it disabled most of the time.
    As I pointed out, there are major differences to what is being AutoSaved, between Premiere and Photoshop. Still, many editors turn AutoSave off, because the every 5 minute (default time) pause disrupts their workflow. Even on my very fast, robust workstation, a Save can take 30 sec. on some of the images.
    No, the manual use of Ctrl-s is the answer. Every NLE users learns this, even with AutoSave. Well-timed Save_As operations can be a blessing too. Nearly every PS user knows about Crtl-s and most incorporate it into their workflow.
    Sorry the the humor did not work. I will do better in the future.

  • How can i recover mail from time machine

    i upgraded from lion to mountain lion few month ago. i have been backingup to time machine since day one.
    last week, formatted my mac, i tried to recover my mail by using time machine, it did not show up any date for recovery.
    it there a way to import back these mail? or is there a way to recover it?

    Although you can restore messages from a Time Machine snapshot within the Mail application, it generally won't work with messages that were saved by an older version of Mail. In that case, you have to use an alternative method.
    Triple-click the line below to select it:
    ~/Library/Mail/V2
    Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
    Services ▹ Reveal
    from the contextual menu.* A Finder window should open with a folder selected. Inside that folder are subfolders representing your Mail accounts. The names refer to the email addresses you use. Decide which ones you want to restore messages from.
    Enter Time Machine and scroll back to the snapshot you want. Select the account folders you want and then select  Restore ... to... from the action menu (gear icon) in the toolbar of the snapshot window. Restore the folders to the Desktop, not to their original location.
    From the Mail menu bar, select
    File ▹ Import Mailboxes...
    Import from the mailboxes in the folders you restored to the Desktop. The imported messages will appear in a new mailbox. Move the ones you want to keep wherever you like and delete the rest. Then delete the folders on the Desktop.
    *If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C). In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder...
    from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V). You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

    ...and if amy lou's suggestion does not work either, you will probably have to contact AppleID support.

  • Action method of backing bean called multiple times instead of once.

    Hi,
    My backing bean has an action method called "saveEquipmentList" that's called when a "Save" button is clicked. The problem is, this method gets executed twice every time the button is clicked so data gets peristed twice, db triggers get executed twice, etc., it's really pretty annoying. I've put the bean method's code and the JSF command button below, notice that there's a check for FacesContext.getRenderResponse() that I put in for debugging, the code doesn't get executed at all if I leave the FacesContext.getRenderResponse() in, sure, you're saying "So what's you point", no point, just thought I'd explain why the check is in there.
    Thanks,
    Alex
    public synchronized String saveEquipmentList() throws Exception {
    // Order is very important.
    if (FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getRenderResponse()) {
    System.out.println("GOT RENDER RESPONSE... XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX");
    try {
    loadEquipmentCodesMap(); // Loads map from equip_code_ids in the DB.
    updateEquipCodesMap(); // Updates total for objcode/type to sum of equipment items for that objcode/type.
    saveEquipmentCodes(); // Saves to equipment_codes table.
    loadEquipmentCodesMap();
    updateDataList();
    savedataList();
    updateTotals();
    loadEquipmentList();
    catch (Exception e) {
    setErrMessage("Error saving equipment: " + e.getMessage());
    return "success";
    }else{
    //facesContext.getCurrentInstance().renderResponse();
    return "success";
                                <h:panelGroup id="pg54">
                                  <h:commandButton id="save" disabled="#{(user.role == '2' and backing_equipmentScreen.viewOnly) or
                                                                                          (user.role == '1' and !backing_equipmentScreen.viewOnly)}"
                                                   value="Save"

                                                   styleClass="input"/>
                                </h:panelGroup>

    Here's the phase listener output before clicking the "Save" button (which calls the saveEquipmentList() action method), I pasted it all, from app started to breakpoint, couldn't get it all in due to the 30K char constraint:

  • ITunes 9 on Vista 64 - Randomly Freezing and Recovering

    I have a strange problem since upgrading to iTunes 9 on my machine, and my searching thus far hasn't found a fix to my particular issue.
    I upgraded my Vista 64-bit PC to iTunes 9, and since doing so have a strange problem occuring, especially during video playback. Anytime I start a video podcast or movie, the video will freeze in the first 10 seconds, and stay frozen for about 45 seconds... then it'll continue and work fine for the rest of the video. Playback must be continuing in the background, because when it 'unfreezes', it's about 55-60 seconds in or wherever it should have been if it had been playing straight through. In addition to this, iTunes will sporadically appear to hang during general usage (switching a song, adjusting volume, etc), but again will recover about 30-45 seconds later. Music playback is unaffected by this (the song will keep playing even if 'frozen'), but video is, and it's SEVERELY annoying. The freezing outside of video playback seems random, but it ALWAYS freezing within 10 seconds of starting a video/podcast... and it always continues after about 45 or so seconds.
    Other than the above issue, iTunes does still work, and so does my iPod/iPhone syncing, etc, but even those actions are occasionally subject to iTunes lagging, as described above.
    I had been running the latest revision of iTunes 8 on this same PC with no issues at all - this all started directly upon updating to iTunes 9. No other changes were made to the system that could explain this, in my opinion.
    Quicktime does not appear to be suffering from the same issue, and I've yet to upgrade my laptop for fear of having the same problem there.
    System is... AMD Phenom 9850 Quad-Core CPU, 8GB RAM, Nvidia GTX260 Video, SoundBlaster XFi Titanium Sound. OS = Vista Ultimate 64-bit SP2 with all updates done, and I have the latest Nvidia and Creative drivers installed for my hardware.
    I've tried completely uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes, and this didn't solve the issue. I'm using the 64-bit iTunes installed, and had no issues with installation.
    Anyone have any thoughts?
    Thanks for your time!

    I have the same problem as all of you, I am on Vista x64, iTunes 8.2 had no problem working with my 30000+ library.
    THE FIX: REVERT TO 8.2 because 9 obviously is made to ** us off.
    Here is how you can get back to a workable state:
    -UNINSTALL iTunes 9
    -Install iTunes 8.2: http://bit.ly/tDsGB
    -When you start it, it will tell you your Library was made using a newer version. Ignore it and click OK.
    -Start iTunes 8.2 (again) and HOLD the Shift key when loading and select your library from the "Previous Music Libraries" folder (it will be in your Music folder and is named the exact date you installed iTunes9)
    Then your done, and you can actually listen to music.
    Hope this helps someone!!!

  • I accidentally deleted my trash. Is there any way to undo it/recover the data?

    Unfortunately, I don't have Time Machine set up on my MacBook Pro. And I can't do a "Cmd+z" because I've already performed other actions.
    I had probably 50-100 GB worth of .mov files. I don't have them backed up anywhere else. I have Lion, but I'm not sure if that will be of any help because I didn't have the files open in a program that would use the "versions" or "autosave" features.
    I already contacted Apple, and they said they couldn't legally recover the data because the trash has already been emptied, whatever that means.
    Is there anything I can do to recover these files?
    Also, are there any proven data recovery programs for Mac that will get the job done?
    Thanks!

    First, stop doing anything with the computer that had these files.
    Second, there are programs that can recover data.  How effective they are is based upon many factors that can't be listed here.  One of those factors is how much work you have done with the computer after deleting the files.
    I have had success with Data Rescue.  Past experience does not guarantee future results.
    You will need a second hard drive to save any recovered data.
