Recover deleted files in linux oel 5.4

hi
i faced a problem.i accidentally removed a very important file.
how can i get back it.??
as far as i know when a data is deleted the link of that file is deleted actually.but can the link be restored??
i searched http://www.linux.com/archive/articles/58142 but it wasn't enough.
i assume that is because no process is holding the file or system is rebootred.
then waht to do?
regards.

Thanks for your solution but in mine it saying,There are no previous versions found.
I have used almost 6 recovery software paid and free and didn't intstalled on that drive where my original files are located so that it don't get overwritten.
All of them are able to recover some files like
.project
public/bin-debug folder
.settings folder
But my .php files i located in web root folder. Those file by i connect data/services. I mean PHP project files are deleted.
I had following structure of files
<Web root > php scritps to connect data\services\UserService.php                  (this file)
<Web root > php scritps to connect data\services\EmployeeService.php          (this file)
<Web root > php scritps to connect data\test\test.php                                    (this file)
<Web root > php scritps to connect data\Imp files to connect data using PHP and MySql.txt (this file)
Files marked by "this files "  are  lost and not found by any recovery software.
I need those php and txt files specifically.

Check out software like Data Rescue 3 (and you need an external drive to recover to)

Is it possible to recover deleted files from the Microsoft Word app for iPhone? I am desperate.

From the Microsoft Word app they say "Access Word documents from OneDrive, Dropbox, iCloud, OneDrive for Business, or SharePoint" so it sounds like you can specify where they are saved. However, my guess would be that the default will be OneDrive.

Extremely unlikely, as they will have been over-written several times.
Possibly a professional data rescue firm can try, but that will cost you a four-figure sum.

It costs $80 to download, but if you need to recover accidentally deleted files, it works.

  • RECOVERING DELETED FILES... PLEASE HELP!

Please help me...is there ANY way to recover a deleted file that was deleted FROM the trash can? I put the file in the trash can because I thought it was copied then I emptied it out.
IS THERE ANY WAY I CAN GET IT BACK? IT IS AN EMERGENCY
    Macbook   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

    Basics of File Recovery
If you empty the Trash the files are gone. Recovery is possible but you must not allow any additional writes to the hard drive - shut it down. When you delete files you erase only the directory entries, not the files themselves. However, the space occupied by the files has been returned to the system as available for storage. Writing to the drive will then eventually overwrite the space once occupied by the deleted files in which case the files are lost permanently. Also if you save a file over an existing file of the same name, then the old file is overwritten and cannot be recovered.
If you stop using the drive it's possible to recover deleted files that have not been overwritten with recovery software such as Data Rescue II, File Salvage or TechTool Pro. Each of the preceding come on bootable CDs to enable usage without risk of writing more data to the hard drive.
The longer the hard drive remains in use and data are written to it, the greater the risk your deleted files will be overwritten.

How i can recover deleted files from icloud,,I had a backup copy on iCloud for whatsapp application and I lost it,,I need bring it back what I have to do

You can't download pictures from iCloud by logging into icloud.com.  If you deleted pictures from camera roll AND photo stream, the only possibility is preforming a restore from an iCloud backup, assuming the backup has the pictures in it.  (Many users have been unable to restore and get back their pictures.)
If the restore doesn't have all the pictures, then they are gone.
In the future, use photo stream to sync photos from an iPhone to a computer, then copy the photos on the computer from the photo stream album into a permanent album.  Photo stream pics stay there only for 30 days, and only up to 1000 photos are stored.  Don't use photo stream as a storage medium, it's only for copying photos from one device to another.  Always copy (either via USB cable or photo stream) to a computer and then move to an album.

  • How to recover Deleted file from HARD DISK

By mistake my entire AVCHD file of 90 Mts  duration was deleted from my Hard Disk, this  I realised after a week., in the meantime I have not added or deleted any file from this hard Disk. I had given my this hard disk to my service engineer to recover the video., he has tried and recover some 40 mb file., but I cant open this recovered video file in Premiere or any other video convertor programme., also I cant get any information about Video.
Can anybody in the forum help me and suggest how to recover my deleted Video from the Hard disk

Hi, hard disk data loss is actually a hard task for many users 'cause most of them think this kind of problems is a complicated situation. Here are some tips you need to know after data loss happened.
    1. If you meet the file loss situation, keep calm and stop using your computer to do any read or write operation until you find the way to recover the lost files because any wrong operation.
    2. If you've lost a file, time is of the essence. As new files saved to Mac hard drive or storage devices, the original files gets overwritten. So do not use the drive or disk which your deleted files are stored before at all, until you have completed the scanning and recovery process.
    3. The system crashed or the files loss situation happens occasionally, so remember build a backup for the files periodically is strongly needed.
    4. If you meet the file loss situation again, stop using the Mac or storage device right now, use another computer to process the files recovery.
    5. Remember this, no matter at the normal time or after files recovery, build a backup for the files periodically is the best method to protect your files from data loss situation.

  • Recover deleted files in Oes 11 NSS

What options do you have to recover accidentally deleted files in Oes 11 NSS? Salvage did not work. With google you can find many different tools, e.g. Stellar Phoenix Novell Data Recovery (NSS), but does anybody have any real experience on how to do that or what are best available tools? NSS disk is ok and there's nothing broken there, just accidental delete without backup.

No experience with file systems level data recovery. I know some of this is only useful if you also have a time machine, but NSS has that "built in" if you enable salvage, and if you keep > 10% of the pool free. And there there is having a tested recovery mechanism... that would be helpful. But the key features of a tool I would use would be non-destructive recovery, it should not be writing to the disk. Before using any tool, get a proper backup / recovery system in place so that if the data recovery tool eats your disks, you can get the rest of your data back. In instances like this, if you can't gurantee that the bit-twiddling utility won't (further) corrupt your disk, I'd go to the effort of making a disk image of the disk holding the pool.

  • Recovering deleted files in Aperture...

    Hello,
I've accidentally deleted my "In The Last Week" Library folder. This is causing major problems and I can't seem to find a way to recover the files.
Can anyone help me with this situation? I've tried a recovery software but only low-res images are recovered. I need the RAW files.
    Thanks,
    Felix.

Look for a directory called "Aperture Vault Deleted Images" look in your trash can, it took me some digging but I found them. Also, do you have Time Machine turned on, it save your Aperture Library. Right click on it and "Show Package Contents" look inside you will find your files, it just takes some digging. When you import files do you put your files in Aperture or leave them where there are on your drive?
    Good Luck!

    hi,
i mistakenly deleted all my clients tax files. is there a utility or a data recovery software that i can buy to recover these files?
your comments and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Ouch! If there is any chance of recovery at all your best bet is Prosoft Data Rescue. There is a free trial to see if it can recover what you need. But don't do another thing on that Mac until you download and use it. Also, a service that has been recommended but I cannot personally endorse is DriveSavers.

  • HELP! Need to restore corrupt file/recover deleted file from LIGHTROOM Catalog

    Hi,
I recently edited a wedding I finished and sent to her via WeTransfer.  It showed that she opened the file, so I deleted it off of my computer.  A few days later she said she couldn't open the file because it was corrupt (at this point I couldn't resend because I had deleted it as stated).
She sent it back to me to see if I could try opening -- but every time I try to open in Lightroom it reads:
    Unexpected Error Opening Catalog
The Catalog could not be opened due to an unexpected error.
Can ANYONE help me recover this file?? I've also tried to run a Data Recovery software to retrieve it from the trash, but it won't recognize .lrcat files (it brought up all of the .jpegs, photoshop, .tiff files etc -- but no lightroom catalogs.
I REALLY really really don't want to have to re-edit 1000 photos again.
Thanks so much in advance for any advice xo

Just did the scan (mind you I have NO clue what I'm doing), but I dropped it in the SQLite and clicked "expand" and it came up "Idle".
I've attached the two messages I got :
Uh, yeah - it's not an archive and so you don't want to try and expand it as if it was one.
I'm not sure which SQLite app you are using. I think SQLite Spy is Windows-only, but for Mac, maybe:

Other Mac users may have more recommendations.
Once you get a real SQLite app, then open the .lrcat file with it.

  • Recover deleted files

After copying jpg and mov files to a local folder, I deleted them from my iPhone 5.  The files are not in the cloud, and they weren't part of a sync (which hasn't copied vids or images since the phone upgrade.
It appears I am up poop creek.
Typically I use "Zero Assumption Recovery" to undelete files, but this program does not "see" my phone when connected via usb.
If anybody knows a cheap to free method of recovering these files I'll be immensely grateful.

    Hi tiapinney,
If a photo is deleted from the library, it is also deleted from any album it is in.
Do not delete from the library because that is where all your photos are. the albums only contain pointers to the photos in the library.
Have your daughter check iPhoto's trash (bottom of the source column) and see if they are still there. She can move them back to the library from there.
