Recover deleted items from iOS 8

I Deleted some videos taken on iPad that were not in the cloud I would like to know if it is possible to recover them and how

First place to check is to see if you have a Recently Deleted album in the Photos app. The latest update to the iOS created this album. It stores photos (and I think videos) that were deleted from the Camera Roll album. Items in the Recently Deleted album will remain there for 30 days to allow recovery. After 30 days they will be automatically deleted from the Recently Deleted album.

  • Recover Deleted Items - where do they recover to when the mailbox is selected from Outlook, versus a particular folder

We are using Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2013 in our Exchange 2013 SP1 environment.
I noticed the following behavior when recovering deleted items:
From Outlook, I select my mailbox name and choose Folder-Recover Deleted Items.  Then, I select some items and click Restore Selected items.  However, I cannot find where these items are restored.
If I select a folder under my mailbox, then go to Folder-Recover Delete Items, the restored items go into that particular folder.
So, my question is, in the first scenario (entire Mailbox selected, not a particular folder), where are the restored items going?
    Has anyone else encountered this?

    Hi,
Recovered items are restored to the folder you’re working in. But root mailbox (mailbox name) is not supported to show items by default.
To find these messages, please take the following steps:
Right-click on root mailbox (mailbox name), choose Data File Properties.
Under Home Page tab, uncheck the box “show home page by default for this folder”
Click OK to save this change, then check the root mailbox.
    Best Regards.

  • Recovering an Entire Folder from Recover Deleted Items

    Question:
If an entire folder is deleted , placed in Deleted Items, then Deleted Items is emptied ... can the entire Folder be recovered to Deleted Items from
    Recover Deleted Items function?
I seem to recall that this was once possible - but when I test with Outlook 2013 with my Exchange Server 2013 - only the mail items come back to Deleted Items - the original folder is not restored.

The Recoverable Items folder resides in the non-IPM subtree of each mailbox. The non-IPM subtree is a storage area within the mailbox that contains operational data about the mailbox. This subtree isn't visible to users using Outlook, Microsoft Office Outlook
Web App, or other email clients.
I would refer you on this informative technet gallery that will help you to understand this concern in depth and recover the entire folder into previous used version back :https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee364755%28v=exchg.150%29.aspx
Also, please check this another helpful resource :https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff660637%28v=exchg.150%29.aspx
Moreover, if you wish to manage this task automatically, you may also give a shot to this automated solution (http://www.exchangeserverrecovery.com/) that could be a good alternative approach in such critical
    circumstance.

  • Is it possible to prevent users from using the ''Purge'' option from the ''Recover deleted items'' in Office 365?

    Hi,
After speaking with a Microsoft engineer over the phone, I've been told that there is no way to prevent users to go to their OWA and manually Purge specific items from the ''Recover deleted items''. The Microsoft tech told us to place the desired mailboxes
on a litigation-hold and that all data will be recoverable... but only from the time you place the mailbox onto Litigation-Hold and previous items, which doesn't take effect for new-coming emails.
1- From what I understand, any new items coming in the mailbox after the Litigation-Hold is put in place will still be ''purgeable'', right?
2- Is there a way (PowerShell, Security group, etc.) that can prevent a user from using the Purge option?
We are very surprised that there is absolutely no thread that talks about this issue, which in our opinion, is a major legal and security flaw from Office 365. This is a main concern for us to actually go with Office365. For instance, this means that at
any given time, if a user exchanges emails with a competitor, they can manually purge emails sent and receive as soon as it is sent/received, even after Litigation-Hold is in place.
Thank you for your reply and let us know if you have more questions.

Is there still a way to prevent users from using the Purge option, like with a Powershell script to disable Purge?

  • Outlook 2010 messages that have not been deleted are available in Recover deleted Items list

    Hello,
    Outlook 2010\Exchange 2010 SP1-clustred
I have looked at several mail accounts through Outlook 2010 client, they are not using the cached mode, they have not emptied the trash.
When I look in Recover deleted items I am seeing messages, mostly sent messages that are available for recovery, the problem is that these messages have not been deleted, they are
    still in the sent folder.
I have restored one to see what will happen, it does restore to the deleted items folder.
It seems to random messages some sent to groups some sent to a single individual
Some Outlook 2010 clients I have checked do not show this problem, but several do including myself, I would have assumed that the Outlook 2010 client user had somehow deleted
it and restored it causing this problem if I did not see this on my own account.
Is this normal behavior? Perhaps some from replication or temp draft's
Any help or information would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Since the post is over two year old, I'm not sure manotelli is still following it, but I think he is talking about something else:
    1. He starts a message and does not complete it (or send it).
    2. The message is saved as a draft pending completion.
    3. Once he completes the message and sends it, there is an autosaved version that is deleted.
I'm not sure what relationship exists between the "draft" which (I would think) is what is ultimately sent when the message is completed and whatever is sent to the recycle bin.
It has nothing to do with webmail (OWA) or any form of remote access.

  • Unable to recover deleted item in Exchange 2010

I'm on Exchange 2010 Sp1 and Outlook 2010. I'm trying to recover a deleted item from the dumpster and when I do I get the following error message.
"Outlook was unable to recover some or all of the items in this folder. Make sure you have the required permissions to recover items in this folder, and try again. If the problem persists, contact your administrator."
I am the administrator and I fairly sure I have been able to do this since migrating my mailbox to Exchange 2010 from Exchange 2003. I've rebooted my PC. Any ideas what is going on?

Thanks for all the suggestions. That's correct. On my second non problematic PC I can login to my mailbox and recover deleted items without any problems. So same mailbox but different computer no problem. Actually I can recover a deleted item on my problematic
PC for other mailbox no problem too.
In regards to Mumin CICEK question my dumpster is set to 30 days. I tried multiple messages. Even messages that I had just deleted and emptied from deleted items. And again I can recover those same messages from another PC no problem.
In regards to the Windows profile may be corrupted I thought about that too. But what is interesting as using the same Windows profile if I login to a different mailbox I don't have any problems either.
I'll try fixmapi.exe as that seems like a good idea.
One last bit of additional information. My Outlook has hung and crashed on me several times of the past. It has happened when I've been connected to differernt mailboxes. From memory the debug mentioned something about a sharing violation. Maybe I should
turn off my anti virus to see if there is a corralation?

Nothing is stored permanently in RAM. I think you mean on your hard drive:

  • ICloud Notes keeps recovering deleted items. How do I stop it?

Every time I delete a note in iCloud Notes it recovers the file back to the 'On My Mac' recovery folder. I close the program out, open it back up, and it just does it over and over again. I had as much as 10 recovered items in there at one time. It is driving me crazy and I want it to stop. Does anyone know how to make it stop. Or at least make it where the notes only sync to my iCloud and not my desktop?
I tried to delete the com.apple.notes folder and it did nothing.
Thanks for any help that is offered..

It appears no one is ever able to really fix a problem on a Mac, the support threads ramble on but never get a solution. iCloud wont let me delete items from my tasks list, it annoyingly keeps putting them back - if I mention this the Mac-Nerds will go on and on about how you have to set things up correctly without realizing the problem occured sudenly and had been working fine for a long time... they were set up - just fine! Then all of a sudden, they don't work. In the end it all comes back to some large preditory, carnivorous cat - a leopard, a lion - maybe the fat tabby that lives two doors down is involved. All you'll get is a conversation with a Mac-Nerd that goes: Nerd: "did you try this?" - You: "yeah", Nerd: "oh, did you try this?" - You: "yeah", (enter new Nerd) Nerd 2: "you should have fed your Lion twice a day and only once on every second Tuesday of the month, how could you not know this??" You: "its been working fine for months" Nerd: "have you tried?" You: "the thing you said in the beggining that I said I had? ...yeah (sigh!)"

  • Public folders recover deleted items

    1) do public folder databases have a "recover deleted items" option, as standard mailboxes do? i.e. if a user inappropriately deletes an item from public folders, can it be recovered easily, or would it need to be recovered from a backup?
    2) how can you get a report of which users can add files to the public folder databases, and which users can delete files/folders in the public folders..

    Hi,
For the first question, yes, user can restore the folder by using "Recover deleted items" within Outlook so long as the item is not over the age of the retention period. If the user is unable to do this for some reason, ExFolders can also be used to recover
    public folder items.
For the second question, you can use the
Get-PublicFolderClientPermission cmdlet to retrieve the user permissions for a public folder. For more information about public folder permissions, please refer to
    Understanding Public Folder Permissions.
