Recover Deleted Offline File in Window's 7

Documents that were suppose to sync with the server had not synced in months. The filess I am sure were being saved to the offline file cache. The offline file cache was deleted by using microsoft hotfix 50561 (kb230738), reinitalizing the cache and correcting
the save path. The documents are very important. I researched and found the xp tool for recovering deleted offline files. csccmd.exe by using the command
csccmd.exe /extract /target:c:\docs /recurse
Is There a tool like this for windows 7? is there a way to recover the lost files. Previous versions and system restore was not enabled and I have not been able to enable then.

Quicktime movies will not play if I delete 'media' files

I have created several Quicktime movies so that I can see the movies after I delete the imported media files which are quite large. But after I delete those files I cannot play the Quicktime movie. I get messages saying that the parts cannot be found. If I reinstall the 'media' files, the movie plays again. It seems that the Quicktime movie is somehow linked to the media files. This shoudn't be, should it?
I might add that I was able to export a web size file and sucesessfully upload it to YouTube though.

Well, I'm just saving the movie to the desktop and then trying to play it back after I've deleted the media files.
If by "saving" you mean you are using the "Save As..." QT Pro (or similar menu option) to create a very, very small "reference rather than "standalone" file, then this is your problem. Such a work flow merely creates a QT MOV file that points to the original "media" as the "resource" for playback. Thus all files must be kept on hand for playing. Even moving the resource files from one location to another can break the "path reference" and prevent the files from opening/playing. You best solution is to export your files to a target compression format that meets your playback needs. E.g., if you source media files are DV or AIC (large files), you can export them as "Medium" H.264/AAC files which can be easily viewed on your computer iPod, and/or TV device but take up only a fraction of the original space.

Is there a way to recover deleted video files from the finder folder

I recently and mistakenly deleted video files that were in my Finder folder,don't know why they were in there but that's another question, in doing this it also deleted them from IMovie and I have lost them unless someone out there know's different,

If you haven't emptied your trash, they should be there.
If not, they should be in your last Time Machine backup. (Or other backup.)

CORRECTION, I was incorrect on a couple of items earlier, sorry:
As you are using Framework Folders, there is no Trash bin. This was removed as it was one reason for Folders_g not being scalable.
When you delete a folder or content via the Framework Folders interface, the content is set to Expired status but not deleted. The folder itself IS deleted so that information is lost.
So you can recover the contents by searching for anything which has an Expired status, but you need to do this in Repository Manager as far as I know because Expired content will not be returned in the usual search query (only Released content can be found, by design). Of course, if you have deleted more than one folder, you will not be able to distinguish the contents as belonging to one folder or another.
On the other hand if you delete the content from the Content Info page, then the content is genuinely deleted from the repository. You'd have to recover that from backup.

Well if you manually deleted it from the file system, it might be in the trash? Otherwise, I don't know if there is a way to recover one.

Recovered Deleted Song Files - Now What

On Saturday night, I ventured into amateur land in a big way and inadvertently deleted my entire music library about 15gigs worth. Once you've all have had a laugh and have returned to your chairs you may be able to help me out. I've used Boomerang and recovered the files. Unfortunately, the files are now labled 1 through (in my case) around 4500. I have begun the laborious task of manually relabeling each file with the correct song title and placing them in a newly created Album folder which resides inside the artist folder (also newly created)as this is how my memory tells me Itunes does it. Is there any other way to rectify this? When I click on a file it launches in Itunes and plays correctly which has been a big help in the relabeling process. I'm guessing there is no way to import these files en masse? Does anyone have any experience with this or I am I the only clever enough to delete eight days worth of music? I relabeled the first 400 last night and it took nearly 3 hours. I'm very grateful to have my music files back but I'm hoping someone out there has some time saving magic to share. Thanks.

If it's still an MP3 file and has all the correct tag info, iTunes will rename the files and put them into Artist/Album folders based on what is in the ID3 tags.
*I'm guessing there is no way to import these files en masse?*

So I mistakenly deleted a bunch of files, mostly mp3 from itunes, when I emptied my trash. I tried using Stellar Phoenix to recover the files, which it kind od did. When I say "kind of" I mean it restored files but only partially. So I have that music back but only like one minute of each song. I'm wondering if there is any other way to recover emptied trash? Any input would be much appreciated! Thank You!!!

no, not without any type of data recovery software (which you have) or sending the hard drive to a data recovery service. And those services do not guarantee that any or all of your information will be recovered. This is why it is so important to spend $100 or less and purchase an external hard drive for backup. Has anyone ever recovered deleted FLAC files?

It doesn't work with any software I have tried so far. They just don't recognize it, just aiff, mp3, aac.

Interesting - I am glad some one has had some success.
Just to clarify though - you mention hibernate, I was not talking hibernate - but suspend. They are 2 different modes. S3 suspend is a low power mode where the CPU and memory are powered on - but inactive. Hibernate copies memory to disk and turns the power off entirely.
Resuming from S3 just requires some sort of event like touching any keyboard key - the return to normal operation is (almost) instantaneous. Return from hibernate requires the power button to be pushed, the disks to spin up and the memory dump made when hibernated copied back to the memory. This takes say 20 seconds.
Interestingly I can not get return from S3 to work on either Vista X64 nor Windows 7 X64. If I try hibernate on Windows X64 it mumbles something like 'Windows has unexpectedly stopped - start normally or...."

Umm... unless you can find an app that will rebuild data off of your hard disc by identifying sectors and re-writing document headers, you're out of luck... There is no app that I'm aware of for recovering deleted Project files. If it was on a RAID that failed, I've got a recommendation for you... otherwise, I think you're headed for some long, hard work rebuilding your project.

Recovering deleted mailboxes

Does anyone know how to recover deleted mailboxes in Mail? An hour ago, I installed the new software from Earthlink and told it to sync with Apple Mail. I ended up with two accounts in Mail, one with my address (the existing one) and another with my address prefaced by POP. I didn't realize what it had done, so I deleted my extra Trash mailbox. Trash disappeared and I didn't even realize/think about it. Did the same with Sent. Fine. But then, before I realized what I was doing, I did it with the In Box. Oh, no! All of the messages in my In Box are now gone. Everything works--I can still get messages--but all my archived stuff is gone. Does anyone know how to recover deleted mailboxes in Mail? The Help is of no help, and the basic pages here don't seem to cover this problem! Help! Help! SOS! M'aidez!

You may go to the ~/Library/Mail/POP-username@mailserver/ account folder in the Finder and check whether your mailboxes are really gone — they probably are, so don’t hold your breath.
If the messages are not on the server and you don’t have a backup (which you should have made before doing something like that), you may try to salvage as many deleted *.emlx files as possible with a data recovery tool such as Data Rescue II, TechTool Pro, or FileSalvage. Of these, the only one I know for sure that can currently recover deleted *.emlx files is FileSalvage. Stop using your computer right now if you want to try that, as anything you do with the computer may cause the deleted files to be overwritten.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder. That is, ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder, i.e. /Users/username/Library.
