  • HT204490 Problem encrypting email with iMail after downloading 10.10.3 OS X

After installing 10.10.3 OS X, my colleague and I both lost our ability to send encrypted email with iMail. Sending encrypted email is part of our regular day job so the loss was immediately noticeable after installing 10.10.3. We can digitally sign an email, but no ability to encrypt. I've already deleted my certificates and reinstalled to no avail. Any other thoughts?

  • When I send an email with a photo from snow leopard to email of a lion user, the photo shows up in the Lion email sideways. When they email it back it returns to correct position. Is there something in Lion causing this?

When I send an email via MACMAIL  with a photo from snow leopard to  an email of a lion user using At & T , the photo shows up in the Lion user email sideways. When they email it back it returns to correct position. Is there something in Lion causing this? This also happens when in in using iphoto'11 i share/email a photo to myself and the phot shows up sideways but is in a correct position prior to emailing.

I recently tried sending myself an email through Thunderbird to another email account to see if that was the case, but the email came in with a font so tiny that it was unreadable. I had chosen a font type and size (arial 10) and just coming into my outlook inbox was virtually unreadable.
And referring to the person I work with, she doesn't have problems getting anyone else's emails, just ones I send from Thunderbird.

  • IPad problem with syncing after reinstall

i have reinstalled windows 7 recently and when i plugged my ipad to be synced with some new apps i found that itunes demand the data that is not currently in the itunes library because i reinstalled the whole disk containing this information(i don't know why it just don't merges it). Anyway, i have accepted this and selected the new apps to be installed, and that's where the problem begins. On step 2 of 3 (determining apps to sync) it doesn't sync at all the selected apps and then finishes syncing without the apps appearing on the ipad.
It still has the apply button to sync them but it doesn't do anything at all. Any suggestions regarding this situation because i don't really understand what wrong with it ...

  • How to get pass login after reinstalling snow leopard

I tried unsuccessfully to upgrade to maverick and got an error message stating that the Macintosh HD disk is damaged and to erase the disk and try to install again.  I did erase the Macintosh HD disk, reinstalled snow leopard because I have a mid 2010-2011 iMac and reset my password.  I was successful  but a lot of the icons were missing and did a software update. I ran into problems when I downloaded some software updates and the computer re- booted and now I can't get pass the login screen.  Every time I put in my password, the computer accepts the password and I think it is going to bring up the desktop but it just go back to the login screen.  I really don't know how to solve this problem, so I'm hoping someone could tell me what to do.

  • After reinstalling Snow Leopard, migration assist and doesn't see my time machine disk.

I had to erase my hard drive and reinstall Snow Leopard and when I tried to us Migration Assistant, it didn't see the Time Machine disk. Restoring from Time Machine directly didn't work because I couldn't gain access to and backup prior to the reinstall although the backups are all there when I open the Time Machine disk and look at folders from before the reinstall they all open perfectly.  How do I get to restore from pre-reinstall dates backups?

I couldn't get Mail to open.  It bounced in the dock but wouldn't open.  All other programs were very slow, Disk utility showed the disk couldn't be repaired, so I erased and reinstalled and restored from time machine.  Everything we OK for a couple of weeks, then all the response times became very extended or wouldn't open at all. Took the iMac to the Apple Store where they checked out the hardware and found it to be OK.  They told me to erase, reinstall and use migration assistant to bring only my profile over.  The erase and reinstall were fine, but the time machine drive could not be seen by migration assistant, and I don't have access through the time machine utility to any backups prior to the first reinstall.

  • Cannot establish wireless connection with WRT54G after power-off

My WRT54G (firmware v7.00.0) is connected to cable TV modem and
usually the wireless connection works fine, but after swiching off and later
on the power to WRT54G a laptop cannot establish WiFi connection to internet.
I can see in Odyssey software (for wireless communication) that my laptop
found the right network (SSID) but in status it says 'waiting for keys'.
I use WPA2 (TKIP). The laptop does not connect to internet.
When I connect it by cable (ethernet) the internet works fine, I have noticed
that by accessing the web-page utility of the router and simply clicking
save changes on wireless-settings page (without making any changes in
the settings) my laptop instantly establishes wireles connection and
everything works fine till next power swich-off.

Thanks for reply! I have my network in preffered, and the software/laptop locks on
the network (see it, says it have excellent signal strenght) and gives note
'waiting for keys' (the WPA2 encription key is in the settings - both of router and laptop client - Odyssey).
I've got firmware ver.7 so it is probably the latest.

    Hi Roger
    Thank you for your reply.
    My original feed is: http://casa-egypt.com/feed/
However, because I modified the feed http://feeds.feedburner.com/imananddinasbroadcast and nothing changed, I redirected it to another feed and then I deleted this feed.
Is there any way to change the feed in itunes? The only feed I have now is  http://feeds.feedburner.com/CasaEgyptStation
I tried to restore the feed http://feeds.feedburner.com/imananddinasbroadcast but feedburner refused.
I know that I missed things up but I still have hope in working things out.
    Thanks is advance.

  • Problem with hosts after reinstall

    Hi,
A few of our remote agent hosts with Solaris have been reinstalled (jumpstarted) sice they were added to SPS. They are now "unprepared", and prepare fails with this message:
During deployment, plan prepHostsPlan failed because The plan (or preflight) "/system/prepHostsPlan" finished with 1 failed host(s).
Also, I cannot delete them from SPS:
    # cr_cli -cmd hdb.a.del -u admin -p <pw> -ID NM:ariari:RA
Cannot delete RA or LD [email protected]. No corresponding node found in the routing tree. (022105)
    # cr_cli -cmd hdb.h.del -u admin -p <pw> -ID NM:ariari
Cannot delete RA or LD [email protected]. No corresponding node found in the routing tree. (022105)
    Thanks for any hints.

Do you have a stack trace from the server log for the prepare failure?
Also, for the second problem, were the steps:
    1) Add host
    2) Reinstall OS on RA
    3) Reinstall RA (same IP?)
    4) Try to delete RA
    Can you verify?

  • Trouble with backup after reinstalling XP Pro

OK, here we go. I had to reinstall XP due to serious errors. I have backed up my iTunes library to 6 DVD's as suggested by Apple. The music files were both on my C drive and H drive on a second computer (network share). After backing up for one whole day, I reinstalled XP Pro and iTunes 7.5. When trying to reinstall the backup up iTunes music, 1 of the 6 DVD's is not recognized by iTunes. No error messages, it just sits in the drive and iTunes seems to freeze. That's approximately 550 songs I'm missing. Both bought at the Itunes Store as ripped CD's. Moreover, I noticed that exclamation marks were visible after restoring a 2nd backup DVD. I guess that is caused by the fact I changed the music files location to the C: drive instead of the network share H. I was not able to consolidate all music files to 1 location due to the XP problems I had. Luckily, I still got all my music on my iPod, and also have a second backup of all my documents from my C: and H: drive on an external HD. I there a way to restore all my library and files from my iPod or the second backup I made? Please give me your suggestions so I can have a nice Christmas with my music! Thanks in advance.

    A few quick comments/questions, etc:
    1. Now that you have reinstalled Wihdows XP is the Windows Updates up-to-date?
    2. Have you authorized the computer?
    3. Have you logged in with you iTunes username and password?
    4. Sure you can use your iPod: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1291709 (great suggestions here)

  • Long delay for add-in saving emails with Cached Exchange Mode off for one user's Exchange account

    Hello,
Before I start, I have asked questions in the Outlook Developer forum and was referred here as it appears to be an Exchange Server problem that I am experiencing, not related to Outlook or the add-in that I am developing.
I am an Outlook developer with an Outlook add-in that adds MAPI properties to emails and then calls MailItem.Save to save the changes.
The add-in uses the Internet Message ID MAPI property for some functionality, so I have to turn turn Cached Exchange Mode off to ensure that my functionality works correctly for the Sent Items folder (otherwise no Message ID property exists).
This process works fine for 99% of users.
I have one particular user that has a huge delay (~1 minute) when MailItem.Save is called for items in his account. He is using an Exchange account. If I switch Cached Exchange Mode on there is no longer a delay (as no communication with Exchange Server). The
user does not have an excessively large Mailbox.
The problem is not caused by the network or communication path to the server as the problem exists on any computer where other users are ok.
I'm sure the problem is not caused by my add-in, but likely a problem with the user's Exchange account. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I may be able to resolve the delay and what might be causing it?
    Thanks
    Glen Thomas

  • Some problems with X11 after upgrading to Leopard - GIMP 2.2

GIMP 2.2 crashes on start and the details explain some versioning problem of X11 native libraries. It might be issue on GIMP side that expects differen binaries to be installed (and perhaps removed by Apple due to compatibility issue). I just wanted to point this to be expected.
GIMP 2.4 for Mac OS X is not official release yet. It is only realease candidate and it should come soon hopefully with X11 issue being resolved in Leopard.

I believe that there are some known issues with X11 and BSD "under the hood" with Leopard. Fink is also broken and my old Darwin X11 attempts to run but nothing happens.
