Recover New Photos after Back Up

I got an iphone 5s, I took a bunch of pictures this weekend and was unable to back them up. I hooked my phone up to itunes this morning and restored a back up from my old phone and it wiped out all my new pictures, how do I recover the new pictures?

Sorry you don't since those pics weren't backup or imported to your computer.

How do I get formal support for this from Adobe?

Thanks for the response.  The application was crashing.  A Windows message was displayed showing "Lightroom.exe has stopped working", "Windows can check online for a solution the problem.". Etc.
I just launched Lightroom to check the exact message for this reply - and the Import worked.  It had failed dozens of times before.

  • Can I recover my photos after deleting iphotos library but restoring it back?

I deleted iphotos by mistake and then restored it back in trash, i still have not recovered my photos. I have two iphotos libraries now: one opens and is empty, the other does not open (its icon is different, it's kind of a white file). Is there any way I can recover my photos or are they just lost forever?

    and
If you depress the option key and launch iPhoto what does it show?
    and please explain
I tried opening the libabry of the restored iphotos but it doesn't let me choose it.
we know nothing except what you tell us so details are critical - including versions of iPhoto and the OS - your exact workflow (general statement that things don't work with no detail like the one referenced above are no help - to determine why something does not work we need to know eactly what you did and how)

  • IPhoto 08: to recover lost photos after a sync

I have an iMac and a MacBook. I stored some new photos on the MacBook. But before syncing (with FoldersSynchronizer 3.6.1), I opened iPhoto on the iMac and made some changes. After syncing, the MacBooh iPhoto looks like the iMac one! The new photos are missing and, I suppose, have been deleted during the sync. They are 200 photos of my last holidays. How can I recover them?
    Thanks in advance
    Stefano from Italy

    Stefano:
Unfortunately, You'll have to start over with the iMac Library and import the Originals folder from the MabBook library, telling iPhoto not to import duplicates in the process. That will give you a fully updated iMac library which you can then copy to your MacBook and use there.
In the future you CANNOT just sync the two libraries. That's because you have to sync the contents of the Library6.iPhoto file and syncing application cannot do that. You can try the following in the future. Keep all new imports into each library in their original Events. Then you can use iPhoto Library Manager to copy the appropriate events between the two libraries to make them identical. Any keywords, comments and titles will be copied also.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Lost all my photos after back up & reinstall-PLS HELP

    Hello There,
i have a very serious problem, the problem is as below:
    - my system was having a problem so I was asked by apple store guy in Zürich to reinstall my OS
    - everything in iphoto was fine before that
    - after reinstall, the following problems started:
    a) photos thumbnails didnt enlarge & only a black circle with "!" mark came up. Videos dont play at all.
    b) the photos stopped syncing to my iphone or ipad
    c) even after rebuilding the iphoto library database (as adviced by genius bar guy), the problem didnt go away.
    d) this problem also happened with the new photos imported into iphotos from my camera/sd card or iphone
    e) the guys at the genius bar had no idea about this problem.
Now genius bar found out that my hard disk had a problem so they asked me to back up & reinstall my OS (snow leopard) for the 3rd time so they could change my hard disk
I did this, got my hard disk replaced & now I am restoring my system from time machine. I have the following problems.
    - all the photos imported after this problem started didnt seem to have been backed up by time machine so they are simply missing.
    - my old hard disk has been destroyed by genius bar so I have no back up any sort of my photos.
i have been going to the apple store about 5-6 time over 6 months now & they offer no solution except telling me too bad for me that I lost my family & children photos. All was fine until genius bar guy told me to back up & reinstall my system. I had requested him to help me out the very first time during the back up & reinstall but they have always told me they have only 20 mins for every client so I have to do it myself.
I am very sad at the moment. I have lost all my photos including work & my children since they were born. its very serious for me & i am totally depressed at the moment.
is there a way to recover the photos & videos?? I have read a lot of your forums & even tried iphoto library manager.
this is a desperate cry for help!!! this is my first mac & i now start to regret the day i bought it.

I just updated 3gs with ios5, using a pc.  Photos and videos are not showing up in camera roll, In tunes the capacity bar of colors showed nothing in video or photo, but lots of memory in yello part of bar named other. I suspected that this was all my photos and videos.
Downloaded this windows browser, worked for me.
    http://iphonefolders.com/
It opens iphone like windows explorer.
The pics and videos were located in DCIM folder.
    Got back pics and videos.
Hope this works for anyone else.

  • Computor Not Seeing new Photos after Update

Man I been searching for anyone having this problem. I can't find it..
After updating my 3gs to OS4... when I plug in the phone to my Windows Xp Computer and browse to the folder for the Images... all the new ones are not there. But they are in the iPhone camera roll.
Am I the only one that is having this issue?
    Any suggestions..

I have a similar issue. When I go to import new photos taken with the iPhone 4 running iOS4, they cant seem to be found. What i have discovered is they are further back in the folder for some reason.
The phone seems to be dating them in the past, so they are way back in the folder. I suggest you thoroughly browse your photo folder and see if you can't locate them somewhere in it.
Hopefully you arent like me with nearly 4,000 photos. It's a lot of browsing......

  • Still seeing "new" photos AFTER folder syncing

I just right-clicked on my main folder (top level) so I could then select "Synchronize Folder." It shows that there are 124 new photos to import. I assume this is because I just combined some folders in an attempt to "neaten things up." So I click on "Synchronize" and then I click on import. What's odd is that I can repeat this procedure, and I'm still seeing 124 photos that supposedly need to be synchronized. Why would that be? Shouldn't it show "0" photos after going through this procedure? Thanks in advance.

I think I know what happened. "Don't import suspected duplicates" was checked by default. So it refused to import the 119 suspected duplicate photos. I then unchecked this and ran the Sync folders and import again. The import seemed to run successfully because doing it a third time showed "0" photos to import. Does this sound right to you? Thanks.

  • HT201250 I need your help! I can't find the photos after back up

I couldn't find all my photos in my camera app after back up. I don't understand how?

Here to help shed some additional light on this case, jdondr. I also own a Maxx. With your phone, if you access the Gallery, there should be a folder named: Messaging.  If you look at the upper left hand corner, you should see a drop down box. Is it currently set to Albums?

  • Recover of photoes after computer crash

I have a Dell Dimension 3000 w/windows XP professional and the computer crashed and a friend thoght they were doing me a favor by re-installing my windows XP without trying to save any of my photoes, so I thought if I could put my code in I would be able to get them back but, I can't find anywhere to put the code or if you know another way to recover my photoes I will be truly grateful.

    Marvin,
Did your friend format the drive when they reinstalled Windows? If so,
ALL of your user files will be gone if you did NOT have a separate drive
    for those files.
Otherwise, all you really need to do is reinstall PSA SE and then click
on Get Photos and reimport the images.
    Cheers

  • HT201317 iphone4 forced restore.  Cant see my photos on ICloud?  Should I restore factory settings Will I be able to recover my photos after restore?

Screen locked yesterday x 5 times.  Powered on/off AOK.  Connected to ITunes on windows PC, upgraded OS as suggested, Synch performed, backup halted Out of space?  tried to delete apps from ITunes directly, Error messages "disk is full".  Phone screen now showing ITunes logo and ITunes prompting a Restore of phone.  What should I do?  Will I lose my photos?  I cant see any option to view my photos on ICloud (Contacts appear okay on ICloud)

Photos are not available for viewing on icloud and are not backed up to it from a PC or Mac, only from an ios device.  It sounds like your iphone was unable to perform a backup to icloud before going bad (or whatever happened to it).  You'll just have to perfrom a restore to see if any photos come back.
But the usual advice regarding photos is that you sync photos to the PC periodically as you would photos from a camera.  If you've been doing that, then you'll find copies on the PC.

  • Can't find photos after backing up to iCloud - help!

Yesterday I was given a new iPhone 5 after experiencing problems with my camera, I hadn't backed up my phone in a while so did it in store and backed up to iCloud.
On setting up my new iPhone 5 my iCloud account has a different email address to my Apple ID account (the iCloud one is under my old email address). I have tried everything I can think of to get into this account but with no such luck which means none of my photos are there.
Is there a way to access my old account to get my photos?

It would make no sense to switch to another account, if you used this account for back up your data. But besides that, many users reported problems to back up photos to iCloud, but it is also very important to know that iCloud would only store photos and videos stored in your Camera Roll (Please see also: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4859).

  • How do I find camera roll photos after backing up my iPad in iTunes before migrating to iOS8 then back to iOS7?

I recently, mistakenly, migrated my iPad to iOS8. In less than a day I concluded iOS8 was not for me, I migrated back to IOS 7.  I backed up the iPad in iOS8 using iTunes before migrating back and now find that my camera roll has gone.  I realise that iOS8 put the photos somewhere else (witness the posts here and in other Mac forums complaining that their camera rolls are 'gone') but shouldn't they have been backed up in iTunes?
I was able to retrieve all the apps from the backup but there was no camera roll.  Where in the iOS8 backup should they be now?  I'm afraid that I haven't figured out a connection from posts describing where the camera roll pictures went in iOS8 to be able to work backwards and restore them.
Can anyone please describe how I might be able to retrieve the Camera Roll?

    You cannot.
You should be importing them regularly as you would with any digital camera.
Did you not import them before restoring?

  • CAN YOU ADD NEW PHOTOS AFTER CREATING A BOOK?

I finished making a book on iPhoto, but realized there were still some photos that i wanted to add. Is there any way that i can do this?

A good general step for strange issues is to renew the iPhoto preference file - quit iPhoto and go to "your user name" ==> library ==> preferences ==> com.apple.iPhoto.plist and trash it - launch iPhoto which creates a fresh new default preference file and reset any personal preferences you have changed and if you have moved the iPhoto library repoint to it. This may help
This does not affect your photos or any database information (keywords, faces, places, ratings, etc) in any way - they are stored in the iPhoto library - the iPhoto preference file simply controls how iPhoto works - which is why renewing it is a good first step.

  • Pixalated photos after backing them up to cd.

I backed up my photos to a cd and then when I later imported them back to iphoto to use they were corrupted and pixalated, How can I fix this?

and then went and had the pictures developed
    Printed?
When you use the Share -> Burn command you make a "mini iPhoto Library" on the disk. This contains many elements of the iPhoto Library that machines that don't have iPhoto installed cannot understand and don't know how to access. The Share -> Burn command is designed for sharing with +other iPhoto Users+.
To make a disk to bring for printing simply select the Pics in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export them to a folder on the desktop. Burn that folder using the Finder (File -> Burn Disk) and bring that along. Result a disk with only the pics you want and nothing to confuse other machines.
