So plz help me how can i recover this one
Regards,
Kamran J. Chaudhry

Crashed term is broad spectrum ,whenver the word crash comes it means you may lost controlfile or datafiles or redolog files or yours database block get corrupted or so on and on...As you mentioned yours server crashed its a question mark on every reader that what you crashed?
what it gives error when you try to open the database?
There is no thumb rule for recovering the database it alls depends on scenario.Crashing is not scenario ,scenario is losing controlfiles, datafile or logfiles. Please find out exactly what you lost ,if you identify what you lost then you can be ahead what to recover, otherwise just "crashing" and restoring and recovering the whole database is totally wastage of time as well lead to failure to recover the database sometime.

yes it is a datafile corruptionYou did not say how you defined that's a datafile corruption. You provide minimum to zero information.
I just need to bring the database up,no need any exact data
I can refresh from prod laterThen drop and recreate database. Basically and since you are not in archive mode, no recover is possible. Period.
    Nicolas.Hi,
How did you come to the conclusion that your datafile is corrupted? Can you provide and supported logs?

please advice how i can recover my pictures without a backup \. i restored my iphone without to do a backup. i am checking that exist different programs but i have to pay. please somebody help me!!

You also may have a chance that some of the more recent photos are in photo stream if you had iCloud enabled. By logging into iCloud on the phone, you may be able to have some of them come through, up to 1000. If you didn't have it enabled, then I believe you are out of luck, I'm sorry.

  • Recover iPhone Data without Backup

I recently was forced to restore my iPhone using a backup from about a month ago. I didn't realize that several contacts had since been added and not synced, so they don't exist on the backup I used. Is there anyway to recover these contacts from the phone itself?

If the most recent backup is from about a month ago, this indicates that was the last time your iPhone was synced with iTunes since your iPhone's backup is updated as the first step during the iTunes sync process.
If you haven't synced your iPhone with iTunes for about a month, any new contacts added to your iPhone since the last sync have not been synced with the supported application on your computer and are not included with your iPhone's backup, so there is no way to recover these contacts.
I usually don't go more than a week without syncing my iPhone with iTunes, and I also have a MobileMe account which provides for syncing contacts and calendar events over the air with my iPhone. After a new contact is entered on my iPhone, it is synced with the "cloud", which in turn is synced automatically with the Address Book on my Mac, and vice-versa.

  • Recover Database without backup

    Hi Joel,
I have read most of your postings regarding database recovery, but still encounter problems.
The background is: Our NT server was crashed last weekend, due to harddisk failure. We are able to retrieve back all the datafile, control file, everything in tact. But after recovery, the OS fails to recognize the ORacle and require reinstallation. We don't know how to re-associate this new instance of Oracle with the old databases that we have created.
I did create a new DB in the new instance, copy back the datafiles, control files to replace it, and run the recreate control file command that you have suggested. At the very final step, when doing recovery, it shows this message:

if the datafile does not contains tables that are needed for some application , or not belong to system, sysaux tablespace , offline datafile can be some solution.
To recover a datafile without backup you need alll the archives from the date that the datafile is created.
Please make a procedure for backup
A sample backup script can be founded http://mikegeorgiou.blogspot.com/2007/04/user-manage-backup-9i.html

  • Recover database after lossing system tablespace without backup

    Hi
My database fail because of hardware failure and then system tablespace corrupted. other tablespaces and control files are OK. Can I recover my database without backup of system tablespace?

    hi,
if you have not taken the physical backup (inconsistent or consistent) then you can not recocver it. you need to have some backup up strategy with RMAN or Manual. Do you have hardware (Disk) Mirroring to cover the media failure??
Atleast if you have the logical backups?? then create the database and import it..
    Thanks

  • How do I recover iPhone data without a backup

The iphone was connected to a PC about 6 months ago or more. That system died. Installed iTunes on a laptop. Connected the iPhone, cancel doanload and install software, chose to sync calender and contacts, chose merge. It copied the contacts and calender over from Outlook, but did now merge the 2. The data from the last 6 months is gone. Checked for backups. Tried restoring for eralier backup, same information.
How can I recover the contacts and calender data on the iPhone?
    Thank you in advance.

I have only just noticed urpost, sorry it wasnt sooner, but there is a way around this..! I own an Apple and Blackberry repair company that deals with these issues daily. To recover ur stuff without huge expense there is a piece of software you can use urself and its very simple. Download a piece of software, there are a few to choose from on either mac or pc, called iCare or the better of the two is iPhone backup extractor. the latter of the two will even extract all deleted data from itunes backup folders even if you have deleted those backups..! hope this helps and im not too late..!

  • Recover db without backup sets rman

    Hi,
Is there any way to restore the database without backup sets. We have the recent incremental backup, however the backupsets have failed.
    Please advise.

    user12075620 wrote:
RMAN backupsets are defined to have a retention period and moving the backup from disk to tape and then freeing the space on the disk.
where did you get this definition?
RMAN can store backup data in a logical structure called a backup set, which is the smallest unit of an RMAN backup. A backup set contains the data from one or more datafiles, archived redo logs, or control files or server parameter file. Backup sets, which are only created and accessed through RMAN, are the only form in which RMAN can write backups to media managers such as tape drives and tape libraries.
A backup set contains one or more binary files in an RMAN-specific format. This file is known as a backup piece. A backup set can contain multiple datafiles. For example, you can back up ten datafiles into a single backup set consisting of a single backup piece. In this case, RMAN creates one backup piece as output. The backup set contains only this backup piece.

I am not sure what will happen if I click restore now.
Most likely, you will lose everything. Data, photos, installed apps (they still are in iTunes, btw), etc.
Unless you had flagged to sync your photos on iTunes: you can found them (at least, the last synced ones) in the folder you told to store photo data.
If you using a Mac, check your iPhoto app, or Pictures folder. If windows, check your Images folder, to see if they were in. Good luck!

  • Restore and recover Oracle 10g database from tape.

I have a very basic question for restore and recover Oracle 10g database. Our envirnment settings are:
Oracle 10g on Unix, daily database and archivelog backup to Vista NetBackup server. Retention policy is 2. Old backup files are copied from NetBackup server to the tape for record keeping.
I want to restore a database to a point in time. Because our retention policy is setup to 2. The backup files I need have been copied to the tape. So I should ask SYSTEM ADMIN to copy the backup files back to NetBackup server disk or I can ask him to copy backup files to the Unix server that host my Oracle 10g database. Then I can use Rman to do restore and recover. Is this doable? I know normal procedure is to copy backup files I need back to NetBackup server disk, not directly back to database server. Please put your comments here as early as better. I do appreciate your kind help.

Are you using catalog or nocatalog?
If the backup information is out of retention, Catalog them again also in netbackup.
So that you can able to restore database directly without copying those files to host.

  • How do I get my data from Sync account after I reformat my computers without backup favourites?

    Hello,
I formatted my computer without backup all of my favourites in Firefox. I have Firefox sync account set up before that between the 2 computers but both of them have formatted. Now, how do I get the data out from my Sync account? Did Firefox save my data on their server and how can I check that?
    Thanks,

    Also:
*If you have regenerated your Sync key or reset your Sync password, you can not recover your previous data
*IMPORTANT - write down your Sync key as instructed in the original set up of Sync
*if you have another device (computer or mobile) paired to the computer where you are having a problem, you can either:
*#pair the problem computer to that other device
*#get the Sync key from that other device
'''<u>Remember</u>''', Sync was never intended for backup. The reason for its existence is to sync-up 2 devices. To back up your Firefox profile, which you should do frequently, to another drive or a pin/thumb drive or other backup media, see:

If you formatted the entire "C" drive (Format C:\) then you don't need to decrypt them but rather recover them.  Recovery is somewhat doubtful but one application you can try is called recuva.
You will not recover 100% of the files and may not recover any
