Recover purchases from different pc

Itunes was lost on fryed pc.  Need to recover purchased songs, movies, etc.

You only get one download of movies.  it is your responsibility to backup your purchases.  Have you failed to maintain a backup copy of your computer?
For music:  Open itunes store, click Purchased, under Quick Links.

  • Opening epubs purchased from different stores (problem with B&N books)

I have an ereader from Borderes. And when I bought it, I purchased an ebook right away. So when I authorized Adobe Digital Editions on my computer, it automatically added that ebook to the library - not problems what so ever.
In the past though several times I bought books from B&N and was reading them on my laptop via Nook for PC.And even though all of my ebooks were purchased using the same email address, and it is the one I registered my Adobe ID with, I cannot open my B&N ebooks via ADE. I keep getting error that this document is licensed for a different user account.
So I am not sure if ADE can work only with books purchased from one seller or it is something to do with B&N books.
Unfortunately Borders has very poor selection of ebooks for my taste. It seems like the books I prefer are always available from either B&N or Amazon. Unfortunately Kindle books are in their own format that I won't be able to open on my eReader. But I was hoping that I could at least load B&N books.
I'd really appreciate any help with this as I've been fighting with ADE for several days now trying to open those B&N books.

Ok done thanks!...but this not resolve my problem...

  • Purchase from different Store

I am subscribed to iTunes Music Store Switzerland. Unfortunately I could not find an album in my store (LU - 'Album'), but instead I found it in the USA-store. Wanting to purchase, I automatically got directed back to the Swiss store (from where I cannot buy the album wanted!). How can I download the wanted album?

This has been covered here literally dozens of times, but once again: the content owners do not allow cross-border sales from any of the legal download stores. You must therefore have legal residence in the country of the iTunes Store you wish to use. So in order to buy from another country's iTunes Store, you must (as proof of residence) have either:
    a) a credit card issued by a bank in that country with a billing address also in that country, or
    b) a mailing address for your residence in that country and a gift certificate or a prepaid card that was bought in that country.
If you cannot fulfill one of these two sets of conditions, you will not be able to purchase from any given country's iTMS.
This, again, is due to restrictions placed on Apple by the record companies and other rights holders (who are often completely different from country to country and so all require their own individual negotiations and contracts), not by Apple's choice.
So unless and until the owners of the rights to that album for Switzerland grant Apple the rights to sell it there, you'll have to buy the CD.
Forum Tip: Since you're new here, you've probably not discovered the Search feature available on every Discussions page, but next time, it might save you time (and everyone else from having to answer the same question multiple times) if you search a couple of ways for a topic, both in the relevant forums, in the User Tips Library and in the Apple Knowledge Base before you post a question.
    Regards.

  • HT1918 Can we use apple I'd to purchase from different country iTunes Store

    Hello apple friends

You can only purchase from your own country's store - to be able to buy from another country's store you need a valid billing address in that country and be in that country when buying from it.
If there are items that you'd like to buy which aren't currently in your country's store then you could try requesting that they be added, but ultimately it's the content provider (app developer, record company, film studio etc) that will have to grant Apple a license to sell it there : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html

  • Recover purchases from stolen Apple ID

my iCloud account was stolen last week, along with it were all the purchases I made, apps, songs, personal family videos, etc. the Apple tech I spoke to on the phone said he could not assist me in recovering my purchases because he could not verify who I was. This with the fact I could name every song I had bought and the last apps purchased.  I don't care about the actual id, that I can change; but I want my purchases. How do I get able to transfer my purchases? That Apple ID will be deleted as soon as I remove my purchases. Another thing  still in that cloud are personal family photos and creative works. Those were also stolen by whoever stole my Apple ID. And yes, I will work with law enforcement to prosecute.

There is nothing anyone here at these discussions can do for you.
You spoke with Apple and they gave you their answer.

  • Why does Apple not allow purchases from different "apple stores"?

Why pigeon hole people and restrict them from Purchasing Apps from whichever country they want to? Is this just another example of Apple's need to Control people?

Apple has their reasons and certainly does not disclose them here.  Speculating on their decisions is a violation of the terms of use of this forum.

  • If I change my apple ID to a different one will I loose all my purchases from my existing ID

    Hi There
I currently have several email addresses that I no longer use for email - because I now use the address that ends @me.com as my primary email address, and so I am cleaning up my digital life, by deleting these unused email addresses.
The problem is, one of these unused email addresses that ends in @btinternet.com is also my Apple ID for iTunes and the App Store.  I know I can change this to something else, so I thought I would change it to my Windows Live address ending @hotmail.com (I need to keep this because its used for my XBOX Live Account).
So if I change my Apple ID to my @hotmail.com account, I will then have only three email addresses, my @hotmail.com address used for my XBOX Live account and my Apple ID, an @gmail.com address, used for password recovery, and my @me.com address, which is used as my primary email address.
That will be better than have lots and lots of different email addresses, but here is the question:  If I change my Apple ID to my @hotmail.com, will I still be able to access my purchases from iTunes and the App Store that I bought usinfg my @btinternet.com ID.  This is very important because I have spend 100s of pounds on music, videos and apps from iTunes, as well as purhased software and OS X upgrades from the App Store.
I will be deleting my @btinternet.com email address from the BT/Yahoo service, so the address will no longer be active.  When I was reading Apple's help and support, it said that "Apple recomends that you use an active email address".
    Can someone advise me
    Thanks
    jason

when you change your Apple iD it's pretty much changing the visual email, i guess that doesn't really answer your question, yes you keep your purchases, it just changes the log-in email and email where newsletters , etc. go to.

How do I consolidate purchases from two different ids that are on the same bank account, and eliminate the extra id without losing any purchases? I want my music to match on both ipad and computer.

Purchases are forever tied to the AppleID they were bought with. There is currently no way to consolidate AppleIDs. Sorry.

  • I have just purchased a new Mac and want to sync my ipod - previous computer was PC - can I recover tunes from the ipod to the Mac?

I have just purchased a new Mac and want to sync my ipod - previous computer was PC - can I recover tunes from the ipod to the Mac?

    1) authorize iTunes on the new machine for your iTunes store account(s)
    2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
    3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPod but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPod with it.
above covers purchases from the iTunes store. for everything else, check out this post by Zevoneer.

    I would ask here
    https://discussions.apple.com/community/itunes
when you buy stuff it's connected to the appleID not the computer
nor the appletv which have no storage so there is no option to get it from the atv

All of your music should be in itunes on your computer.
Select it to sync and sync.

  • I tried to transfer purchases from my iPod to a new computer, but for some of the songs it asks for a different Apple ID and password than mine. Ideas?

I tried to transfer purchases from my iPod to a new computer, but for some of the songs it asks for a different Apple ID and password than mine. Ideas?

You definitely need to resurrect the old password associated with the Apple ID you used to purchase the music.
    Go here: https://iforgot.apple.com
An email will be sent to the email address associated with that account with instructions regarding resetting that Apple ID's password.
If you no longer have access to that email, the resolution to this problem becomes considerably more difficult. In that event you would need to contact iTunes Support and explain your dilemma.
