Recover registered software key number ?

I have been caught out upgrading to a new macbook pro ( the old one died ).
I have the box and key no. for the upgrade to FC Studio 2, which I had purchased in the uk but cannot locate the software key number for the original FCP software I originally purchased through a reseller in Thailand in 2005. Both original and upgrade were registered with Apple at the time of purchase.
Does anyone know who/how to contact Apple to attempt to resolve this issue, it really isn't very clear ?

Actually, you are out of luck if you are looking for Acrobat Standard. I have run into a problem because the link is for Adobe 9.0 Pro and the serial no. for Std. won't work. I asked Adobe customer (chat) service for a downloadable of the Standard and they said they don't have one. Did you get the Std. version as part of the preinstalled software on your computer? If so, it would be on the recovery media of your old laptop but I don't know how you would retrieve it from there. I am in the exact same boat as you are. Let me know if you find out how to get the media for the Standard by responding on this thread. Thanks.

I am unable to recover the license key of Dreamweaver CS6. I lost the box and I can't remember the account that was used to activate the software. Basically, I need to transfer the current license from one computer to a new computer, but since I can't find the license key I am not able to do it.

Lost key number

I need to re-install my FCP 5.0 upgrade, problem is i cant find my 4.5 reg. key number, i have my 5.0 upgrade number but not the 4.5, I still have my original receipts of both software and i had registered them with Apple.
i am at lost, don't know what to do, any ideas?

Unable to connect to register the serial number

Just bought Adobe premiere elements 13.
When I open the programm it asks to register the serial number. I click to connect (the connexion on the internet is working properly) but it's impossible to connect it says try again or register later.
I have an Adobe ID account where I have already registered this product and the serial number.
I have also done the update of this product.
Help would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

My computer operating system is windows.
When I open the Adobe premier software a new window open saying :
"Connexion required
You should connect with your Adobe ID to activate this software. Type your Adobe ID to register the product.
Then a new window says :
You will be connected with Adobe ID XXXXX
I click to connect then a new window says :
Validation of the serial number
Connect to internet to validate your serial number
Connect later/ Validate
When I click on validate it searches then nothing happens. I can use the software at the moment when typing try Later .So I'm afraid that in 7 days I could not use the software anymore.
I must say that the product is registered on the Adobe ID system but it seems there is no connection between this service ie Adobe ID and the software .

Software & registration number trashed..NEED help!!

I bought and installed iwork '06 yesterday and trashed iwork '05. Weeks ago, I trashed the paper boxes/materials came with iwork '05 that means, I trashed the software (iwork '05) registration number required for software installation. Is there any way to get back the software registration number from any hidden corner/source? Or, is there any source where I can send email requesting for the registration number? If nothing is possible, I may have to trash the iwork'05 DVD that will be painful.Though iwork '06 is running fine so far, I may need it, for which I paid, in future. Can anybody help me to retrieve the lost registration keys? I do appreciate your help. Thanks a lot.

Thank you for your helpful suggestion. I will follow your way to be more organised with the installed softwares from now and onward. But, you see, as I remember as a former Windows user, the software serial number is readily availale in a text file (may be in a 'Read me' file or different) in the installer CD/DVD. This is really useful. Once someone buys a software...s/he deserves everything useful to the user in relation to software installation and usage MUST be documented in both CD/DVD and paper. I believe Apple smart softwares are lacking this feature, which is surely helpful to their smart users. Where there are users guides in the CD/DVD, the serial number is not...this is certaily a lacking..isnt it???!!!

Trying the register a serial number

HI All,
I downloaded a trial version of Lightroom 5 and had to do all the creative cloud stuff. I really enjoy the software, but I didn't want a subscription, so I bought a CD of the program from Amazon. When I try to register the software with the serial number that came with the cd, I get an error. Tech support has been of little help until this point.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Once I finally got time to sit down, I took a crack at uninstalling it and reinstalling it. It worked. I had tried this prior to posting, but I think I must have only un-installed either creative cloud, or Lightroom. Because your suggested answer was one I had seen posted elsewhere, I thought I needed to try again. I took care to uninstall both and then restart the computer. Upon re-installation, I had no problems registering the serial number. It even picked up the old catalog right where I had left off. One update, and I am exactly where I was trying to be - A current version of lightroom with a license and a CD properly installed and registered (not a subscription). Thank you!

I don't know if anyone is still looking at this thread but I have just dealt with the same Adobe 'Help and Support' with the email [email protected] and found you when I looked to see if there was anything about them online.
My story as short as poss – I had problems running Photoshop Elements 11 after upgrading to Mac OS X Yosemite. Some people told me it could work, others no, so I tried to get some information from Adobe. I looked for 'Help' on Adobe.com and wrote in my enquiry on the recommended 'Chat' option. This morning I got a response and was asked if I was available to web chat about it on Skype. Everything was headed 'Help and Support' and all the Skype messages had a little Adobe logo with 'Help' by them – so I assumed it was all legit and I was actually dealing with Adobe.
They told me PSE 11 was incompatible with Yosemite but said that as an existing customer I could upgrade to PSE 13 for a discount. This seemed a good deal so I said OK. They said I could download it immediately but they'd need remote access to my computer. They started installing PSE 13 and though I started to wonder about how long they needed remote access for, things only began to look really weird when it came to paying, which was to a Moneygram account in India. Also I got a confirmation email from that adobe24x7 address.
By that time though I'd got so far into it I was worried what would happen if I pulled out, and so I went ahead and paid them (equivalent of $78 US). They told me they'll send a full serial number by email within 72 hours. When I said to them 'you're not actually Adobe are you' they said 'We have affiliation with Adobe through Commission Junction'. The named 'Support Manager' on the messages is Amrita Singh.
They finished the installation, and so far the PSE 13 seems to work fine. But like you I have no idea whether it is legitimate software or not. I called Adobe here in the UK and they say they have no connection with adobe24x7, didn't seem to have it on record as a scam address, but are going to get back to me.
I'm normally careful with scammers so this makes me feel really dumb. But – the big question – since they had access to the computer for so long, were they fishing for anything else? If they are real scammers this is a possibility. When I reported it to Adobe they told me to cancel the payment but I said I didn't want to in case adobe24x7 took any reprisals.
So, if CS5 and Yosemite is still reading – did they ever get back to you when they said they'd reimburse you? And have you had any other bad consequences since you were in contact with them, bank accounts, passwords being compromised etc?
Am wondering how much I need to panic! Thanks for any information....
And, a wider issue, shouldn't Adobe show a little more concern that their 'Help pages' are being hacked into so easily?

If you can't access the App Store from the Apple menu, Dock, or Applications folder installing the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo will reinstall the App Store for you.
It's ok to do this even you are already running v10.6.8.

I am assuming you have the key number, but not the actual software. Like you I have the key number (my key number good for 3 Macs), but didn't want to dig out the disc to install on another Mac. Going to Office's site I couldn't find any links to download Office, so I had to get the disc to load the program. Once that's done the Office installer will ask for your key number.

Windows Vista 32 and 64 bit key number

XP has been installed from a disk partition (D)
My notebook has been upgraded from XP to Vista 32 bit with the CD I got from the pakage.
In the buttom the is a stamp with the key number.
I have CDs both with Vista 32 and Vista 64
1. Is the key number the same to the 32 and to the 64 bit
2. I would like to format the C drive.
3. Can I install Vista 64, from the CD?

No worries. Yes, you can perform an install of Vista with the DVDs that you have. You can reformat the hard disk as part of the installation.
Before you begin, go into the Device Manager to see which wireless adapter, graphics adapter and lan adapter is installed and write it down. Doing that will save you some time.
You will need the following DVDs from what you have stated the notebook was delivered with..
Operating System DVD Windows Vista Business SP1 (64-it)
Application and Driver Recovery DVD 32-bit & 64-bit for Windows Vista
Write down the twenty five character license activation key before you begin. Enter it when requested to by the Windows installation script. After the installation is complete use the driver disk to install the drivers. If HP Support Assistant is available on the driver and application disk, install that also.
