Recover serial number on ipod generation4

Trying to recover serial number from an ipod touch generation4 it has been stolen. I tunes says 2 devices were enabled in that account but it will not let me see the 2 devices. What else can I do?

is there an itunes backup?
on windows show menu bar by clicking the shaded square in upper left corner
go under edit - preferences- click on devices (pic of iphone upper right)
hover over backup shows serial number

No app is required.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.

It would be on the box that the iPod came in. Did you toss that box out?
There is a way to check the last iPod synced, but since you synced another iPod, I think you are out of luck there.

Need the serial number of ipod touch. Someone stole grandson's

Someone stole my grandson's ipod touch, and the police are wanting the serial number. My grandson registered his ipod touch from my computer, and it is synced to my computer. He has bought several apps from iTunes from my computer. His parents never wrote down the S/N and Grandson doesn't know where the box is. Do any of you have any ideas of who would have this s/n for us or where I can find the serial number in my computer software?

Go into iTunes, select edit, then preferences. Go to the device tab, and hover your mouse cursor over a recent backup, and the serial number should pop up.

We have 4 Flash CS4 licenses here at work, and we're retiring one old computer, and have purchased a replacement. Trouble is, we have misplaced the Flash CS4 packaging from the old computer, so we don't have access to the serial number. How can we recover the serial number from the installed version on the old computer?
(I contacted Adobe support, who insultingly told me that I should ask Microsoft if it's possible to search through the Windows Registry for the serial number. I now hate Adobe "support".)

No it is NOT. The retail end-user license agreement for Adobe products applies only to the person who purchases the software.The legal owner of a license cannot install copies for other people, even if they don't use the software themselves. Except for volume and emterprise licensing systems, all Adobe software is registered to an individual human, not to a computer or a company.
The original purchaser can register a transfer of license in specific cases, but they would have to supply you with all the serial numbers and media as part of that transfer - clearly in this case a transfer has not been performed, so your copy is illegal. Sorry, but it is.

Open itunes>Edit>Preferences>devices>White Box Backup>hover mouse over backup to see serial number. No backup present = no serial number. Check other sites supportprofile.apple.com www.icloud.com . Apple support can email it to the email on file. They will not read it to you and will not email to one not already registered to the device.

iTunes
Connect iPod to your computer.
When iPod appears in iTunes, select it on the left side of the iTunes window under Devices.
Click the Summary tab, and your iPod's serial number will display on screen. For iPod shuffle (1st and 2nd generation), click the Settings tab.
If your iPod is not currently connected to your computer, but has been connected to your iTunes library before, follow these instructions:
Hold down the Control key and choose Help > About iTunes (Windows) or iTunes > About iTunes (Mac).
Release the Control key.
As the iTunes and QuickTime version information scrolls, you will see the serial number of the last connected iPod as well as the last connected iPhone's serial number and IMEI.
Tips:
Hold down the Option key (Shift key in Windows) to reverse the scrolling.
Press the Space bar to pause the scrolling.
You can copy this information to the Clipboard and and paste it into a document.
In Mac OS X, choose Edit > Copy (or Command-C).
In Windows, press Control-C.
Note: In iTunes, when you view the iPod serial number, you can choose Edit > Copy to put the serial number on the Clipboard. You can then paste the serial number into an email or web page (for registration, for example).
