Recovered missing photos, but created many duplicates, not showing in album

I tried to clean my hard disk. It seemed that many of the same photos were saved in 'data' file, and an 'original' file, which I located in Pictures AND my computer. I felt they were duplicate files, not duplicate photos, and sent them to the trash-not yet emptied, and then copied one of the folders containing every photo on to an external drive.
After I re-opened iPhoto, saw that many photos were missing, I did research and learned that I shouldn't tamper with 'Picture'. Since then...
1. I have imported the photos back into the Library. Success--except that the gray boxes with dashed lines are still there for some photos and not others, and many of the photos have created duplicates.
2. I ran 'duplicate annihilator', but I didn't feel like it didn't do the job.
3. Then, I launched iPhoto with Command+Control, which I believe restores the old library, which is helpful--but now I have almost twice as many photos as I originally had.
Even though, if the photos are restored, which they seem to be (gray boxes with dashed lines still there for some photos, but not all) the individual albums do not seem to be restored.
Although tedious, I don't mind sifting through the photos and recreating the individual albums, but:
-is there another way?
-how can I be certain that all the photos have been restored?
-do I delete the gray boxes?
-what can I do with the album 'recovered photos'?
I feel like I've done all the research, and everything possible to recover the photos, but I'm missing a link or two connecting all the dots.

HI Myrtle,
You can start all over and import the photos you had saved to the external drive.
Drag the iPhoto Library folder in your Pictures folder to the desktop.
Launch iPhoto and at the message screen choose to create a new library.
Once the new library is opened, go to File>add to library and navigate to the external and choose the folder of photos to import.
The albums will not be restored this way as you are creating a new library. I really feel this is better for you than trying to undo all the duplicates and gray boxes you had.
Once you are sure all your photos are imported you can delete the old library on the desktop or burn it to disk first just in case.

What version of iPhoto are you running? Also is your profile correct?
In the Events mode set the View ➙ Sort option to By Date ➙ Descending so that the newer events are at the top of the window.

I don't understand this answer. What do you mean " your contacts should be in whatever program/service you have selected to sync."? The address book is created on the phone not in Itunes or any other program/service. When Itunes says backing up phone I have to assume it backs up everything on the phone. Most of what's on my phone does not come out of itunes. I download apps directly on the phone. When the software updates it does not bring those apps back. I have to go into the appstore and install them all over again. Itunes music library syncs with whatever is on the device your linked up to BUT the phone book just dissappears after you update the phone. There is no way to save it anywhere else.

You need to tell us what you did and what you have (version of iPhoto and verify yoru OS version)
It is not possible to download (actually import) photos into an existing event - every import creates one or more new events
given virtually no information one can only guess - I'd guess that either your event sort is set incorrectly (view menu ==> sort events) or the dates on the photo are wrong so the event is not where you expect it to be - in that case you correct the dates using the adjust date/time command

However, if I right click on a link and select "Open Link In New Tab", the Tab shows URL in address bar. So it's working when it's a New Tab but not a New Window.

OBIEE : Newly created rpd file not showing in the online mode in Admin tool

I have recently installed OBIEE 10.1.3.4.2 and Oracle XE databse in a Windows XP (Professional version 2002 Service Pack 3) virtual machine on my Windows 7 machine.
1) I have create an rpd file in Admin tool (all three layers). But I can only load this rpd file in offline mode, not in online mode.
a)Saved the file sanjay1.rpd in c:\OracleBI\server\Repository directory
b)Updated the c:\OracleBI\server\config\NQSConfig.ini (commented out the existing Star entry and replaced it with Star = sanjay1.rpd, DEFAULT;),
c)Modified the C:\OracleBIData\web\config\instanceconfig.xml and made change to the CatalogPath entry (<CatalogPath>C:/OracleBIData/web/catalog/sanjay1</CatalogPath>)
d)Stopped and restarted OC4J, “Oracle BI Presentation Server” and “Oracle BI Server” services.
But I am still not able to load sanjay1.rpd in the Admin tool in the online mode. It is showing up only in the offline mode. What do I need to do load the file in the online mode.
2)The existing Start entry in NQSConfig.ini was Star = samplesales.rpd, DEFAULT before I updated it. But samplesales.rpd is not showing up in online mode either. When I am selecting File/Open/Online a popup is coming up with title "Open Online AnalyticsWeb" and prompting to enter Administrator password. I would like to know why samplesales.rpd was not showing up in online mode and where is AnalyticsWeb coming from.

Is did not work.
1)Wihile the servers were running I opened the rpd in offline mode. It displayed the message the file can only be opened in the Read-Only mode. I accepted the message, opened the file and clsoed it and exited from Admin tool. I stopped the 2 services “Oracle BI Presentation Server” and “Oracle BI Server” in that order, and restrated them in the reverse order. In the admin tool it is still showing in the offline mode only
2)I have as such no interest in AnalyticsWeb that is showing in the online mode. I did not create it, it must have been installed along with OBIEE. But I am curious where it is coming from. Because A)There is no rpd file for AnalyticsWeb in the Repository Directory B)Before I edited the NQSConfig.ini the default setting was samplesales.rpd. So AnalyticsWeb was never included in the NQSConfig.ini file C) samplesales.rpd was included in the NQSConfig.ini once, but it never showed up online.

What is selected under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes?
If you have chosen selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres - if Pulp Fiction is available under the Albums section to be selected as an Album to be transferred to your iPhone, is it selected?
If so, when you select Albums via the iPod on your iPhone, the album is not available there to select?
You can always create an iTunes playlist with these songs placing the songs in your preferred order.

I purchased and in-app download and have a receipt but it is still not showing, so where is it?

I purchased an in-app download for Little generals and have a receipt, but it is still not showing up. Ive tried all the usual sign in then back out...shutting on and off but none of this works. The file just seems that it does not exist even though they have already charged my credit card. So, WHAT GIVES???

If you don't have the Firefox button, you're using the classic view. To restore the new view of Firefox (Changed in Version 4):
* View > Toolbars > Menubar [Uncheck]
In Firefox 6 you can use this to clear your history/other offline content:
Click on the Firefox button on top left part of your browser:
* History > Clear Recent History
There you can select what you want to clear.
If you want to see the menu bar you can press alt on your keyboard so you can see file/view/...
Also for activating it to always be there follow this (Classic view of Firefox):
* Firefox > Options > Menu Bar

Is it possible that the person who sent the message to your phone sent it to your phone # instead? Try sending a message to your phone via the email address and see if it shows up on the iPad.
