Recovered photos are all blank
I have tried to recover some of my photos within iPhoto, but all the recovered photos are blank empty pictures. There is nothing other than a blank canvas on all recovered photos. Are these images not recoverable, or do I need to do something else tocomplete recovery?
Try the following:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - Run Option #1.

One more reason to put my iMAC at the curb. I can open and view Picasa photo links when I sign in via Google, but if I'm in Mail and click on the Picasa image link (my own or one someone else sends me) I can't view the images. They are all blank white squares. This started a few weeks ago. Why can't I view Picasa link images through Mail?

The pages selected to print are all blank
I don't know what is going on but all of a sudden Illustrator cs6 is giving me a message saying "the pages selected to print are all blank." Nothing in my print dialog has changed. Printing a black and white object. Tiling is not checked. There is nothing wrong with the layers as there is only one. I printed these pages last week from AI. Now it won't. I have no idea what is going on now. Please help.
There is no template, and it does it with any file I open.

I CLICKED ON THE IMAGES LINK...BROUGHT UP ANOTHER BOX ABOUT ADOBE RESEARCH PICTURES... THE BOXES ARE ALL BLANK. HOW DO I ACCESS THE PICTURES?
THANK YOU@alanjana,
As an Adobe employee, I hate to say "it works for me," but ... it works for me. Maybe it was a random issue with the server.
Can you please try this again? If it doesn't work, let me know and I'll report it to the folks who manage the server.

IPhoto 6 Hangs When "Recovered Photos" Are Opened
iPhoto 6 "recovered" 300+ photos when I updated from iPhoto 5. I can still see the recovered photos in both my library and albums, but if I double-click on the photos, iPhoto 6 hangs with a spinning ball icon requiring a Force Quit to recover. I can open the photos in the "Recovered Photos" album, but I'm not sure how to get them back into my library and other albums. Has anyone been able to do this?
Thanks, Will
G5, 2 GHz, Dual Processors Mac OS X (10.4.4)When upgrading to iPhoto 6, the 'recovered photos' it finds are stored as follows:
a if you opt to import the photos when iPhoto asks, they are left where iPhoto found them (or lost them, depending on how you view it...) in the 'year' folder system, within the iPhoto Library folder in the Finder; e.g. 2005>12>15>photo.jpg, 2003>10>05>photo2.jpg etc. Within iPhoto itself the photos are grouped in one new roll, and an album is created in the Source list called "Recovered Photos".
b if you opt not to import the photos, they are moved from the 'year' folder system in the Finder into one folder within the iPhoto Library folder, entitled "Recovered Photos". The 'year' folders can be deleted, if they are still there - you should find that they are empty and they are not used by iPhoto 6.
In Case b you can move the "Recovered Photos" folder to anywhere you like, e.g the Desktop, as the photos are no longer associated with iPhoto. In fact, if you decide you need to import some or all of the photos back into iPhoto, you will have to move the RP folder to another location as iPhoto will disallow any import from within the iPhoto Library folder.
Take care either way; in my case I had 1014 recovered photos, which included all of the following:
a originals of some of my photos, the edited versions were still in iPhoto
b random duplicates of original photos
c photos, both original and edited versions, which I had deleted long ago - sometimes as long as 2-3 years, many versions of iPhoto ago!
When I have chance soon I intend to document my own personal recovery procedure / experience, in case it helps anyone else when upgrading. In the meantime, feel free to ask if you have any questions... -
Hi,
Since updating to IOS 7 all my photos are mixed up!! I link my Ipad directly to my PC, where I have thousands of photos - all sorted in specific albums. The albums appear to have copied accross but all the pictures are mixed up randomly and are not in the correct albums.
Any suggestions please?Suggest you use Photo Manager Pro. You can create folder, drag photos around, lock folder, slide show etc.

For some unknown reason, events and photos in my Iphoto are appearing blank. The photos have a title / placeholder but no picture. I use time machine and have back ups, my goal is to restore the photos without creating duplicates. Unfortunately iphoto sees the blank photos as if the picture exists? Help
If you want to use your back up you need to restore then entire Library from Time Machine, and then replace the damaged Library with it.

After Saving Workbook Text Elements are All Blank
I created a query, made some adjustments in Analyzer and saved the workbook. Upon going back into my workbook, all my text elements were blank and when I open them, the constants and filter values are all unchecked. What could have caused these to be removed. All the structures are still there.
Thanks,
CherieHi Cherie,
The problem is strange.
But try executing the workbook again.
Once executed, edit the query and save and execute again.
Again save the workbook.
This is just trying again.
Hope it helps.

Trouble with sync once photos are all organized into folders on iphoto. Help!
I have imported and organized all of my pictures of off my iphone into iphoto. I then went to sync like I always do, only requesting that 2 folders (approx 900 photos) be put back on my phone. When the sync finished, it said that itunes couldnt sync 250 of the photos I asked it to. That's 1 issue. It said that itunes would tell my why it couldn't, then it didn't!
Problem #2 is this...my 2 folders of 900 photos shows up on my phone in the folders, but then all 900 photos are also in photo library. How do I keep these from showing up twice? It's taking up all of my memory with every photo being saved to my phone twice.
I've tried to find tutorials & help with Iphone & haven't had much luck. I've imported, foldered, synced, and gone about my business plenty of times before. Now i'm running out of memory & my phone is telling me it can't completely sync.Is there an Albums section in the left hand pane? If so move the cursor to the right of the Album name till Show appears and click on it?
If there is no left hand pane where the Event and Photos icons, albums, slideshows, etc. usually sit move the cursor over the left edge of the window until it turns into a a cross like this:
then click and drag to the right to open the pane.
If you can't get that to work Try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder (Snow Leopard and Earlier).
or with Lion and Mt. Lion from the User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto/
Data/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder
3 - launch iPhoto, reset its various preferences and try again. The left hand pane will be visible.
NOTE 1: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
NOTE 2: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.

Java popup screens are ALL blank
I have a feeling it is being caused by my new graphics card as all my other machines are okay, but it is very annoying and i was wondering if there is a work around.
GFX = Radeon 9800 Pro 256 running Catalyst 3.9's
Cheers
JonI seem to have the same problem and incidentally also
radeon gfx-card ... but some how i dont think this
would be hardware related. My OS is Win XP sp2.
I've had jre 1.4.2 --> uninstall --> jdk1.5 -->
uninstall jdk1.4.2. And they've worked as expected
for several years. Even now most java-apps and
applets seem to work fine, but IntelliJ Idea 4.5
installer and the java plugin control panel are
totally blank. The functionality seems to be there,
just not the gfx.
Any one got a clue what gives?Make sure you have anti-aliasing set to Application-Controlled: http://www.java.com/en/download/help/5000041100.xml
Make sure you've updated to the latest video drivers.
Make sure Directx is updated to the latest version.
If that still doesn't work read http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=661574 and then try adding to your environment JAVAOPTIONS variable -Dsun.java2d.d3d=false. If that doesn't work try -Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true
If the problem was AA, then and you still want to force all 3d applications to use AA and you don't want to keep changing your graphics card display options, you can disable java's use of the Direct3D by setting an environment variable JAVAOPTIONS to -Dsun.java2d.d3d=false. This will allow you to keep your AA settings. Disabling Direct3D is the proposed update to 1.5 to fix this bug. See http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6311320 -
'pin as app tab' turns the wide tab to a small tab. But there is no identifying icon - they are all identical. The default 'white page of paper with dogear upper right' is all I see.
Sorry, Mozilla, NVM. Turns out the cause was the addon '''Favicon Picker'''. Disabled it (replaced with ''Bookmark Favicon Changer''), and now all icons show ok (app tabs, normal tabs). Yaay, me=happy!!

My album photos are all messed up!!
after i synchronized my ipod, all the album photos were all messed up!
This is my first time to encounter such thing. I tried to reset it (pressing MENU and the central botton at the same time for a few sec.) and also update my ipod, bt none of these could help.
What else can i do?Does anyone also have this problem?

And welcome to Apple Discussions!
Your iPod's artwork cache may have become corrupt. I would suggest clearing it out and rebuilding it. To do this:
1. Plug the iPod in and when it appears in iTunes, click on its device name on the left pane of iTunes if necessary
2. Under the Music tab, remove the check mark next to “include album artwork on this iPod.”
3. Hit Apply to sync the updated changes.
4. After it has finished syncing, place the check mark back next to “include album artwork on this iPod” option.
5. Again, hit Apply to sync the updated changes.
6. Lastly, properly eject your iPod, and verify that the album artwork is correct.
Hope this helps.

My Photos Are All Over The Place Can I Move Them?
Hi...
After numerous Exports and Imports... My images are all over the place on my Hard Drives. Is there a way I centralize them and have Lr4 move them into a central place so I don't need to hunt them down all the time?
Thanks in advance!!!Yes you can do that within Lightroom. I recommend you look at Julianne Kosts Lightroom videos on AdobeTV regarding cataloging - they are free.
