Recovering deleted pictures from Time capsule

I did a restore from time capsule to recover my deleted pictures. That was over 12 hours ago, and I had a thousand pictures. Now when I go into iphoto, I see an empty thumbnail, and if I double click the thumbnail, I either get a picture that shows up, or I get a triangle with a question mark in the middle. Is it possible time capsule is still working on recovering my pictures? How long will it take before I can see my photots in my iphoto program appear as thumbnail pictures? I have also done 2 or 3 restarts, that does not seem to help.

I was using DiskTracker to organize the contents of Time Capsule. I deleted some folders from within DiskTracker unaware that this would delete files from Time Capsule itself.
I have several recovery software but none of them is able to see Time Capsule, as it is connected through my Lan. I have a lot of valuable data and i would appreciate any suggestion or help on recovering these folders. Please note that i have not written or deleted any files since the accident.

You can use the Recycle Bin to Recover Deleted Pictures on Your Computer to solved the issue about how to recover deleted photos.

The problem is that it is a Western Digital 3.5 inch internal hard drive housed inside a hard drive caddy. So the only way to connect it to my computer is through a dock.

No recycle bin. When selecting Delete for a photo in the Camera Roll, a big red Delete Photo button is provided along with Cancel. Selecting Delete Photos means deleted.
Photos/videos in the Camera Roll can and should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera. The Camera Roll is also included with your iPhone's backup which is updated by iTunes as the first step during the iTunes sync process. If you synced your iPhone with iTunes since the photos were captured by your iPhone and you haven't synced your iPhone with iTunes again since the photos were deleted, you can try restoring your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup.
If you have an iCloud account, you have the option to update your iPhone's backup wirelessly which is automatic when your iPhone is connected to a power source while connected to an available wi-fi network. With an iCloud account, you also have the Photo Stream option. All photos captured by your iPhone are placed in your iCloud Photo Stream. Deleting a photo from your iPhone's Camera Roll does not delete the photo from your Photo Stream.

Recovering invisible folders from Time Capsule backup

How do I recover hard_desk/var/ from my Time Capsule backup? The interface does not provide an obvious way to navigate to invisible files and folders.

To recover a delete photo in iPhoto using Time machine do the following;
1 - know the title/file name of the photo you deleted.
2 - while in iPhoto activate TM.
3 - go back in TM to a date when the photo would be present.
4 - enter the title/file name in the search window of iPhoto.
5 - when the photo appears in iPhoto select it and click on the Restore button.
The photo will be restored and imported into iPhoto as a new import.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Hi everyone! I'm in need of extreme help. You see, today, two months ago I went out of the country from the United States of America. I took about 1500 pictures ONLY on my iPod touch. When I returned to the United States to my home, I accidentally deleted a little more than 100 pictures. Then, thinking I could get ALL of the pictures back at once, I restored my iPod touch from an iCloud backup I had a couple of days before. Instead of getting all of my pics back, they all got erased. The pictures that I did delete were deleted from Camera Roll AND Photo Stream (iCloud). Then, I was only able to get about 500 pictures back from iCloud. So about 1000 are still gone. When i did the restore, I thought all my pictures would be there, but they weren't and I couldn't possibly figure out why; because a restore from iTunes or iCloud is supposed to restore your device to the settings of the time you backed up your device. All of my other settings were just the way they were supposed tone for the time being, all except my pictures, which contained not one picture in any folder. So EVERYTHING from Cameta Roll was gone, and only about 500 pictures survived. I kept retoring and restoring, hoping they would come back but unfortunately they didn't. Then one time a restored again, I saw all of them back!! But then, within a blink of an eye, they disappeared as soon as I tapped on one picture. Then, I knew they were still in reach, but I just had to find them. Where could those 1000 pictures go? I looked up how to recover deleted photos, but I have to install a software. My computer CANNOT possibly take anymore software on it, my PC is very sensitive and I cannot delete anything off of it. Please please help me. What can I do to get my pictures back? They are memories that I can never EVER EVER get back. Thank you so much.

Unable to delete files from Time Capsule disk

A while back I copied my user folder from my iMac on to my Time Capsule disk, which is mounted as a drive on my iMac's desktop. I now want to delete that copy. After some struggling with locked files I have managed to get it so that all I have left is a small hierarchy of folders containing no files. When I try to delete any of these folders, though, I get the error message: "The operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient privileges for some of the items." Info says that I have read & write privileges to every folder in the hierachy.
Can anyone suggest a way that I can get rid of these few remaining folders? They are really bugging me!

Ok, after talking with someone at Apple, I was reminded of a simple Unix Command to do the job, even on Time Capsule. Here's what worked for me:
Time Capsule is connected to my Mac, via an Ethernet cable-- I don't know if this matters or not, maybe it will work over the wireless connection too, let me know!
You'll need to pull up Terminal in Applications > Utilities. It's a dangerous tool that Unix and Linux people use with skill all the time, but you have to be careful, cause it will cause permanent changes-- that is what I want here, of course. Just be extremely careful, ok? You have been warned.
type "cd /Volumes"
press Return
Now you're in the "Volumes" folder
type "ls" (as in the letter L)
press Return
You should see your Time Capsule folder (whatever you named it)-- type "cd " and that particular name
Navigate till you can type "ls" and you can see the folder you are trying to delete.
Then, the command that worked for me is this:
(Please double check that "myFolderToDelete" is indeed the one that you want to delete!)
sudo rm -rfd myFolderIWantToDelete
After a few seconds for the hard drive in the time capsule to spin up, it worked! Yea!
In fact, to be safe, if I were you, I would even go into Finder first and try to rename that folder, call it "myFolderToDelete" !!!
Why didn't I try this before? I've used Terminal, I should have thought of it before! bad nerd!
But the important thing is, problem solved .
A few things to note is that I was trying to delete a folder full of "Locked" files. If I wanted to delete several locked files that are not currently in a folder, I could make a new folder, and drag those files into it... now you have a folder you can delete. Just rename it "toBeDeleted" or something like that.
Finally, note that I am not currently using Time Machine (the automated backup program) with this Time Capsule, so I don't know if it will delete the Time Machine backup -- haven't tried that yet.

Recovering Files erased from Time Capsule

Someone in my office stole my laptop, ipad, and TC. I finally got my time capsule back, but they erased some of the files. Is there a way for me to recover those files? Or is it maintained in the trash file of the computer it was used to erase the files?
Also where are the backup files maintained from previous backups. If I can find that I can also recover the files that were on my TC.

Any files erased on the TC are probably not going to be recoverable..
You would need to open the TC.. and remove the disk.. plug it into a computer using USB hard disk holder.. and use a software on the computer like disk warrior or data rescue 3. But that would only be if the hard disk has not been subsequentially written over.
