I have an Iphone 4s and it's all smashed up (long story), I am trying to recover the files from it (mainly photos).
When I connect it to my laptop (Windows 7) the light comes on for about 5 seconds then off for about 5 seconds and keeps going. My laptop doesn't recognise the device. I can put it in DFU mode and I hear the sound windows makes when a device is connected, but I've tried a bunch of different programs to retrieve the files and none of them are working. They are all saying "Iphone not in normal mode", So when I exit from DFU mode to go back to normal, none of the programs I am using will recognise the phone at all.
Any help is much appreciated. I have lots of important photos I need off there (And yeah, I know, I should have backed it up. But I didn't).

HELP! How can i restore/recover files from Bootcamp with Boot Failure - Missing operating system error?

I am having a few problems with bootcamp on my imac. When i tried to move the bootcamp partition on windows 7 into free space, it crashed and turned off. Ever since i have had the error 'Missing operating system' and it fails to boot. I have some very important files on the bootcamp partition. Is it possible to recover these files or even to restore the bootcamp partition to it's original state? I do not have a backup of my bootcamp partition. Another problem i have is that ever since i tried to expand my macintosh HD partition into free space, when i hold alt while booting up (to choose which partition to boot like i normally do), the bootcamp partition has stopped appearing. This means that i cannot even boot the windows 7 bootcamp partition anymore!
So basically here are my 2 questions:
How can i restore/recover files from Bootcamp with Boot Failure - Missing operating system error?
How can i make the Bootcamp partition appear in Startup Disk and when i hold the option key while starting up my computer to allow me to boot windows 7?
Any solutions are very much apreciated!

I know that bootcamp (disk0s4) hasn't been fully deleted since it appears in disk utility (i cant do anything to it though)

WinClone 3 is OS X and saves Windows image it makes for restore - that should work but you will have to try and you would need to make a new image unless it also works with a native Windows system restore image. It is now supported and has come a long way.

Paragon Clone OS works and does disk-to-disk clone just like CCC you end up with two bootable drives. But does not work with your setup. It would let you clone and move your Windows install to an SSD or another disk drive though and be bootable.
During its clone process it checks for errors which is very helpful and lets you know - something CCC and others should adopt more of.

There are a number of things to do like chkdsk and others as well as Windows DVD to do automatic system repairs and find out why.
AppleHFS - the abilty to mount and read HFS volumes can be notorious.
I would rearrange and redo your storage setup and how you use the 4-5 internal hard drive bays.

How can i print my files from mi iphone 5 throught the airport express?? i have the last iOS version installed and also the last firmware version of the printer. the printer is already connected to the USB airport express and when i look for printers in airprinter there is no printer found. i have an HP LASERJET P1606dn(i think that is supported by the airprinter).

In order to function with AirPrint, a printer must connect to the network wirelessly.
Even if you have an AirPrint compatible printer, iOS devices will not be able to print to the printer when it is connected via USB.
So, you have two options:
1) Reconfigure the printer to connect to the network using wireless only and the iOS devices should be able to print that way....assuming that you have up to date drivers for the printer installed.
2) Leave the printer connected via USB and then use a third party App like Printopia installed on your Mac as a "workaround" to (hopefully) allow the iOS to device to be able to print. If you want to give this a try, there is a free trial for Printopia, so you will know if it will work before you buy. You must have a Mac running on the network in order for Printopia to function correctly.

I'm trying to send a jpeg from the Imac to a windows PC. The windows PC doesn't recognize it as a "file" with the paper clip. Why? The same file from my iPhone makes it fine. It is sent as "windows friendly" attachment.

This is very frustrating. I use Aperture and share pictures all the time. The thought that some people can't download jpeg images I send them is very troubling. As a test, I'm sending them to my work PC which is in front of me. The file arrives and can be seen in the email, but it does not show up as an attachment and therefore you can't save it. There's no paper clip in the file when it arrives. When it's sent, it shows the number of files being sent and the size. And like I said, if I send a file from my Iphone it arrives as a jpeg file fine on my work pc. I have checked my default settings and they are set to "windows friendly attachments". I'm not sure what "at the bottom of the email" means really. This seems to happen wether I originate the request form Aperture or from the email program on my Imac. Help!!

No, that doesn't work for me. And things seem to be inconsistent. Where it lets you vary the file size (small/medium/large/actual) when large and actual are the same, it doesn't send the actual jpeg file for windows to open. When large and actual size files are different when you toggle between the two, the file seems to go through to my windows pc ok. When I tried this through preview, that's when I noticed this difference, not through just email or Aperture yet. Help!

Hello, I had an iPhone 4 which I lost and inside there were some great photos that I want now to recover. In the meanwhile I bought an iPhone5S and I just realized that inside the iCloud backup menu is saying that there is a backup of 3GB of my old iPhone. How can I see if in that backup the photos are there? I have connected my iPhoto App to iCloud but it only finds photos from my new iPhone and not the old one...

How can I send (by text) a (fairly) large video file from my iPhone 4 without it getting compressed first?
If that's not possible is there a way to uncompress the video file one it is received onto the receiving iPhone?

ExFAT would be the best file system format, as it will handle files greater than 4GB.
If exFAT is not available, go for FAT32.
Just FAT is too limiting, so avoid that

Your only hope is to contact a data recovery company. When it shows the connect to iTunes screen the iPod is essentially deleted.

You cannot officially store emails on the phone other than photo's which come in via iTunes and attachments to emails. There is no disk mode on the iPhone.
If you want to store files on the phone you can use something like DropBox App which will let you if you have an internet connection.

One day this was happened to me:I deleted some videos that i don't need and after about a month i went to a music concert and i recorded with my iPhone for about 25-30 min and my iphone froze and automacitly restarted after a restart when a went home and i wanted to watch what i had recorded and in my camera roll on my iphone i saw the videos that i deleted about a month ago!!! If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

After intallation was completed, the automatic startup just placed a small box on the screen "Import wiz". This just sat there with no activity. After I closed this box, none of the Firefox start buttons would open the program -- just the blue rotating icon for about 2 seconds then nothing.
