Recovering from lost or forgotten password in WLS 7.0

How to recover from a lost or forgotten password in BEA WebLogic Server 7.0 directly
without using WebLogic Compatability mode?

Are you talking about the password for the user that boots the server or
just any user?

    Cannot recover from lost of all the controlfiles without resetlogs?
    I have an Oracle10g (10.2.0.1) database(on RHEL5.0 system) DB10G with a recovery catalog database RCATALLOG. The RCATALOG database is synchronized with theDB10G database.
    Then I lost all the current controlfiles and I make the following steps:
    SQL> shutdown abort;
    ORACLE instance shut down.
    SQL> startup nomount;
    ORACLE instance started.
    [oracle@hostp db10g]$ rman target / catalog rman/oracle@rcatalog
    RMAN> restore controlfile;
    RMAN> alter database mount;
    RMAN> r*ecover database;*
    RMAN> alter database open;

    Because I did not restore the the controlfiles from the backups, I do not need to open the database with open resetlogs.
    Why I cannot open the database without resetlogs? Is any step wrong?
    Thank you

    Hi,
    You restored the controlfile from backup but not the full DB. The Database files header are not sinchronized with your controlfile.
    Follow the following steps:
    1) Mount your Database and create a backup of the controlfile using:
    SQL>ALTER DATABASE BACKUP CONTROLFILE TO TRACE;2) Modify the trace file and recreate the controlfile.
    3) At this stage your database is mounted. You need to recover it.
    SQL> recover database;
    Media recovery complete.4)Open the database after recovery completes.
    SQL> alter database open;
    Database altered.Done, any problem you can use this link for reference:

  • Recovering from lost library

    Lost my iTunes library files (don't ask how... I'm still not sure), and had to recover using backup copies that were about 2 months old. The situation that left me in is I have about 35 music files and lots of album art still in the original locations in the iTunes Music folders, but iTunes doesn't know about it.
    How do I tell iTunes to refresh it's list of songs based on everything it finds in iTunes Music folder?
    One thing I tried is to do a search, and from that list create the 35 shortcuts, put them all in a new folder on my desktop, then perform an "add folder...". That didn't seem to work.
    Any suggestions?
    thanks!

    this was posted here by mistake. i thought i was posting in the iTunes discussion. sorry. i don't see a way to delete or move it, so i am re-posting over there. if someone can delete this, pls do.

  • How does one recover a lost Airport Express password?

    Both on my iPhone and iPad I can use the wifi signal at my friend's house, so they both have stored the password for her Airport Express. My friend, however, needs to re-enter her forgotten AE password to use her own AE. Me not good with technology, so how can I get my iPhone and/or iPad to display the password so that I can provide it to her?
    Thanks,
    Rick

    Hey, I'm slow, but at least I now see others have previously posted this same question. I'll research those threads.
    Thanks again,

  • How to recover from lost notes on my iPhone 4?

    Today, I believe that I lost a VERY long "note" on my iPhone when my battery died. Either that or I deleted it by accident.
    I figured I would plug my iPhone to my laptop to get the latest version of "note" back.
    Two things came up:
    1 - I had to update my iTunes to the latest version
    2 - Problem: my iTunes does not open.
    How do I proceed?
    Thanks,

    Download iTunes 11.1.1 directly from Apple.

    For the recovery, you may find them in your iTunes backup. If you have not a backup, a third easy iPhone recovery utility is necessary. Please follow the blog to get your notes back.

  • Recovering from lost HD

    I lost my primary hard drive (where Lightroom was installed). Luckily my photos and Lightroom backups are on another drive (and backed-up on an external). When I reinstalled Lightroom on my replacement system drive I wanted to restore from the latest backup but I couldn't find any instructions on HELP telling me how that is supposed to be done. I looked in the Lightroom backup folder and saw that the backup was a catalog file so I tried to "open catalog" but I had two problems. 1) All of the photos are in one folder. It seems to have lost the directory structure. 2) The second drive was drive D: before and it is a different letter now so all of the photos are marked as missing. I tried the locate on disk functionality but it only finds a few at a time and still does not put them in the proper directories. Can someone tell me the proper procedure to use in this situation? I would really appreciate your help!
    Jerry

    I changed the drive letter by using a computer management tool supplied by Microsoft. I cleared Lightroom's catalog, changed the drive letter to be what it used to be for re-doing my system, and re-booted. I then re-imported the catalog from the same backup as before.
    I tried changing the "Include photos from subitems" option but it made no difference. There is not a triangle next to the folder name to twirl open so it looks like they are all in the same folder. In fact, they are listed under "All Photographs" which is not one of my folders. I assume that is a Lightroom default of some kind? (Excuse my ignorance if that is a dumb question.)

  • I reset my forgotten password via email on my computer, but 2 hours later new passowrd doesn't work from iPhone  What am I missing?

    I reset my forgotten password via email on my computer.  Two hours later still cannot use new password on my iPhone 5 ios 7.x.x.  Am I missing something?

    Try going to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • How do I recover data lost from restoring

    I restored my ipod touch to the settings of a former ipod touch without realizing it would delete all my data. It erased some pictures and video, so I am wondering if there is any way to recover that lost data. Help!

    Not unless you can restore from a backup that was made from the ipod when it was the way you wanted it.

  • ISE upgrade from 1.1 to 1.2.1 - lost CLI admin password?

    Hi,
    In a mysterious way I lost CLI Admin password in whole my ISE deployment (6 PSN, 1 ADM and 1 MNT node). I wondering how it is possible? Last time I logged to the nodes when I upgrade my deployment from ISE 1.1 to 1.2.1. Is this possible that I could lost password during this upgrade?
    Regards
    Gunter

    Hello Gunter-
    You should have not lost/locked the admin account due to the upgrade. Nonetheless, you will have to follow the CLI password recovery procedure:
