Recovering lost syncs

Ok aproximatly a month ago my little brother took my iPhone and erased all settings and content i tried restoring but it didnt work. me being a complete idiot i clicked erase sync history. if someone could please give me steps on how to recover those lost syncs and help me restore my iPhone with the lost Backup file i would be so happy ive been slaving over the computer for a month trying everything. PLEASE HELP!!

There is no way to recover the files if you erased sync history unless you backed them up. I'm sorry, you've reached the end of the road.
Last check: C:/Documents and Settings/ (Name of User) /Application Data/Apple Computer/MobileSync/Backup
There shouldn't be anything there except for any backups you made after you erased the sync history, but go there to see if there is anything else there. If there is anything there, check when it was last modified. If any of the dates are from before you erased the backups, then you might have something. But I'm not sure how to get iTunes to recognize the backup.

Yes it's possible to sync music back from a iPod back into iTunes that (I assume) wasn't purchased on the iTunes Store.
Apple allows iTunes Store purchases on devices to be reversed back into iTunes, just not cd rips and stuff like that. For that it's a one way trip to the device from iTunes.
I likely can't suggest such software here, but if you visit iLounge you can ask what is the latest software that works for your platform.
Really it only takes a mere few minutes to backup your iTunes Library and stick in a few cd/dvd's or a external drive. iTunes even has a menu command for it to make it oh so simple. Please use it and backup all your data.
Hard drives fail, computers burn up, thieves steal, stuff gets forgotten. Plan for something happening because it will.

You will just sync to the new computer. Keep in mind:
Additional Information
Syncing photos with your device will create an iPod photo cache.
Syncing photos can only happen from one computer or user account at a time. Syncing photos with a different computer or user replaces the photos on the device.
You can't reimport pictures synced from your computer to your device back to your computer. You can only import pictures in the Camera Roll or Saved Photos from your device to your computer. If you need to retrieve synced photos from your device:
Email them from the device to yourself.
Copy them from the emails to your computer.
On iPhone and iPod touch using iOS 5 and iOS 6, all synced photos will appear in a unified category called photo library. Photos are not duplicated; this is a way to view all synced albums in one place. You can also tap a specific album beneath photo library to view individual albums.

How To Recover Lost Develop History Settings?

can anyone tell me how I can recover lost develop history?
I edited some files quite a few days ago. Today I launched LR and it did a backup, then when it opened the images were visible but with the ? and missing file message, because i had moved the files from the main folder into sub folders using Bridge. So I did a Sync on the main folder to bring back all the files....it relocated the files as per the new structure, when I realised all the develop history had gone. I think thats because it removed the missing files and imported the files again as new.
So I shut down, moved all the files back, and opened the backup file. The backup was created AFTER I made the develop edits. The images were back in orioginal location, but again no develop history, all files back to their original import. There are no issues with other files, some I worked on that day but did not move are fine.
I have LR backup to a external HD drive. The previews were in the default Username/Pictures folder, but now its rebuilding previews in the same folder as the backup on the external drive, and its taking ages!
Im puzzled why its doing this and why the dev settings have gone, I would have thought they would be in the backup catalog? As I moved the files back and opened the backup should they not be there? I dont have the save xmp sidecar enabled either.
Could it be that the previuos previews are on my hard drive, and now LR is rebuilding previews in the same folder as the backup on my external HD?

I don't have all the answers, but by now you've learned the hard way to make changes in LR if you're moving files about. As to Previews: they'll get rebuilt in the same folder as the .lrcat if none is there. If you have a catalog on the external, and launched from it, it's very likely it is building a Previews folder. I set mine to rebuild at a very small size in such a case. Or just have it build for those folders you need to check.
Now, if the external has the edits/history you want, run Export as Catalog on those photos you need to replace, then delete them from the internal, and run Import from Catalog.

It can be synced back into iTunes, check at iLounge what third party software works reliably now and for your version.
Once you log into your iTunes account, you can snyc only iTunes purchased content back from a iDevice
F: If any of the above is too hard, or the data is of "critical importance"
Then seek professional computer or forensic level recovery services.

Those kids can be quite destructive when it comes to technology sometimes! Did you previously have your contacts backed up anywhere? Google, Backup Assistant, Verizon Cloud? If yes, then you should be able to recover them from there. If not, there wouldn't be a way for us to recover lost contacts.

Backing up your mail
You can back up your mailboxes to a CD or another disk. To do this, you can either copy the Mail folder in your Library folder or create an mbox file, a common format for storing mail messages.
▪ To save the contents of all your mailboxes, hold down the Option key and drag the Mail folder to your desktop or to another disk. The Mail folder is in the Library folder in your home folder (~/Library/Mail).
Copying the Mail folder only backs up mail from POP accounts, or mail from an IMAP account that you've copied to On My Mac. When you are ready to restore the Mail folder, choose File > Import Mailboxes, select Mail for Mac OS X, and locate the Mail folder.
▪ To create an mbox copy of a mailbox, drag the mailbox from the mailbox list to your desktop.
▪ To create an mbox file with just some of your messages, select the messages, then choose File > Save As. In the Format pop-up menu, choose Raw Message Source, then enter a name and save the file.
You can copy mbox files to CDs or to other disks. When you want to restore your mail, choose File > Import Mailboxes, select "Standard mbox files," and locate the files.

What do you mean you "lost sync" on your iPhone? Is it not updating? Did the app disappear? You should look at [[Firefox Home does not work]]. There are a lot of good troubleshooting steps in there. It will show you how to refresh sync if your data isn't updating.
If you really just want to start fresh, you should delete the app from both iTunes and from your device, then sync. This is important. If you only delete it from your device, iTunes will put the old copy with all of your old settings back onto your phone. If you want a fresh copy, delete it from both and then reinstall. That'll give you a clean install.

Go back to your voicemail - you should have a deleted messge - click that and check.
If you don't have that then you can restore your phone from your last backup if it included that voicemail

I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.
