I had a lenovo g505s. Initially i was using passwor to log in the laptop. then i installed lenovo veriface, and i started log on through verifaceand webcam .. Once i was trying to download through app store, the OS asked me the password, and with the horror, i can not remember that now. I am able to log on and operate through veriface, but how i can remove or recover the password? i tried to change it through comtrol panel, but it asking for old password ! how i can do it, is it possible through regedit like XP ? Please guide/

The problem is that your system no longer knows about the files - it has removed the pointer that tells it that those files exist, and where they start and end.
However, it may be possible to recover the files using a utility like Data Rescue. The less you've used the computer since you emptied the trash, the higher the likelihood of recovery. And I don't just mean reading/writing user files, since the system is constantly using "available" hard drive space as storage (for temp and log files).

No. A simple backup and restore just restores the restriction password from the backup you just made, unless you revert to a backup before the password was set. The other option is recovery which deletes all data.

Unless you have a backup of the database table or a backup of the workbook in an .eex file then I am afraid there is no way to recover the worksheet.

As far as I am concerned, you cannot do that when you are using the command line "Manage-bde".
The reason is because, the manage-bde command line parameters doesn't support saving recovery keys to databases. Also there is not any group policy defined for it.
I you want an option to save recovery keys in a database rather than the AD, I would recommend to use MBAM (Microsoft Bitlocker Administration and Monitoring).

Cannot use recovery cd`s of lenovo T60 series thinkpad

hi i am manu and i am using a lenovo T60 series thinkpad laptop.
lastday operating system crashed and up on one of my friends i installed a windows xp evaluation version (only after installation i came to know it was evaluation and needs activation).
after all these only i checked my recovery cds and its manual. by that time every thing in the hard disk has been formatted.now when i insert recovery cd 1 and it continues till 2% and then hangs down. after some time message shows that files have been recovered and remove disks and restart. but when restarted this is what is shown please help me....

your recovery cds, are these cds which you created yourself, or are they from Lenovo?
Please also state how many discs you have and what they are named.

Calendar and Alarms

I used the N900 to sync my Exchange calendar for the past month. At some point the Exchange sync got stuck into a loop an kept bring-in in the old entries. As result I was getting alarm reminders non stop.
I couldn't use the phone at all. Since the power button was useless the only solution was to remove the battery.
On startup the process started again. I manged to recover by removing the SIM and disabling the Exchange sync.
Now the Calendar app fills the CPU whenever is started directly or by the e-mail client.
I cannot remove the calendar.
Does anyone have any solution to clean the calendar entries ?

Here's how you can delete all calendar entries from your calendar (Calendar app open):
1. Tap the title bar
2. Select Settings
3. Select Edit calendars
4. Select calendar you're using - most probably N900, local.
5. Select Delete. Now you should get the following message: "N900 calendar can not be deleted. Delete all calendar content instead?" Select Yes and that should do the trick.

Adjusting system time during runtime causes problems?

Running a TDS based application on Win2008R2. 5.1.19 (yes we are updating to 5.2.36 later this week)
The system clock was adjusted back by 5 hours while running. No issue at time, but after an app restart we found we had a corrupted trans log with LSNs lower than those in database files. Had to recover by removing the tran log and clearing LSNs in a database file using db_load -r lsn
Is there something in the trans log contents or writing process that would be affected by a change in system clock backwards?

files. However it is definitely the case that an anti-virus
software scans should be avoided on Berkeley DB data files
(database, transaction log, region). An anti-virus scan could
be problematic if a page is scanned at the same time the library
code is trying to lock a database for an update. Is there any
chance that an anti-virus scan or some other application happened
at the same time which might have been touching a database page?

Equium A60-692 won't restart after closing the lid

Most annoying, the only thing I can do is hold the power button to switch off &switch back on again. Is there some combination of keys i should be pressing to bring her back form the brink after closing the lid, or is this a fault?

Usually when the memory size changes, the system can recover.
Remove the battery and AC Adapter, then remove one of the Memory Modules, and power up.

i am having all kin of messy behaviour from my n70 music edition with firmware v5.06.38.3.0.1 which is latest. but i loved the design n everything so much i hate to leave it and buy any other .cause cant see anyother around with so elegant design.please help me .
prblems -
1.the phone restarts automatically of its own chosen time.its an obvious thing to happen when i write sms or press some buttons repeatedly.
2.the phone sometimes freezes and no other way to recover except removing the batery
3.sometimes cant see missed call when its a short miscall

Forgot master password but do not want to reset and lose all my passwords

Last week, I added a master password to firefox and it seemed to be working fine. The next day, when I tried to enter my password, it kept saying that it was incorrect. I know I was entering the correct one. I rely on my stored passwords on a daily basis for work and cannot reset it, as I will lose years of important login information. How can I retrieve files OR re-initialize the time machine...

After deleting a file on my time capsule, I can't retrive some older files. I see the multiple windows up to a certain date, the rest of the windows are black (and I can't access them). A deletion on the TC cannot be recovered without removing the disk and using a recovery utility.. even then if it is inside a sparsebundle I am not at all confident a recovery software can do anything about it.

No interfaces recognized on C2801

When I boot C2801 router, it displays message :
*May 19 10:08:53.983: %PA-3-PACREATE: Unable to create driver for Port Adaptor type 65535 in bay 0
After booting is complete, I can not see any interface (no built-in Ethernet, no serial on WIC-2A/S).
I suspect what some information has been erased from internal bootflash. Have I any chance to recover ?

Removing all installed modules had no effect.
This problem occured after I replaced original Cisco CF card with 1GB SanDisk CF. In my opinion in this moment something was accidentally rewritten in internal router flash. Changing CF back to original card with previously functional IOS did not resolve this problem.
I have second C2801 box, where I also replaced CF with the same SanDisk card, and all is functioning correctly.
