Recovering Photos From Ipod
Is it possible to recover your pictured from the ipod. My hard drive crashed and I lost really good pictures but they are still on my ipod. I'm wondering if by some chance I can get them back???
I believe there is one way to achieve this task; you must be careful though or you will lose the pics. First, before even plugging in you ipod, hold down the select key (center button) and push the play key at the same time. This should reset the ipod. You have to hold them down for abut 6 seconds, then hold the select key and the back or left arrow key; you should hear a chime of sorts. Once this is done, cycle down on the screen to to disc mode and push select. Plug the ipod into the computer as soon as this is done. Open up "My Computer" and find the ipod listed. Open it up then open up the photos folder. Copy and paste, drag and drop what ever you prefer you pics to another folder or desktop of you computer.

Post Mac Crash - Recovering Photos from iPod touch back to iPhoto
I could really use some help because I don't want to lose the pictures I have left on my iPod Touch. Thus I won't sync until I know exactly what I am doing so that I don't erase what's on the iPod Touch.
Several weeks ago my Mac completely crashed and no recovery could recapture my photos in iPhoto. I do regularly backup and have most of my older files safe and sound but I lost the pictures I had since my last backup (almost a year's worth). However, I do have some of those "lost pics" on my iPod Touch as I synced them there (full sizes and all). Is there some way to get them back into iPhoto? I have reconnected the iPod Touch to the Mac hoping to see it as a hard drive and manually pull the photos over but apparently it does not recognize the iPod touch that way. Within iTunes I can not upload the photos either.
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Cheers,
-JTalked to Apple support and they recommended third party support to find a solution. One option I found is TouchCopy @ $24.95. Here is the link http://www.wideanglesoftware.com/touchcopy/?gclid=CMuQ85XZ4ZgCFRWbnAodJSjjcg
If I find out anything else, I'll update.

How can you transfer photos from iPod Nano to new iMac?
My friend has an ipod nano. Here's a photo, not sure what gen. it is.
He had a PC that no longer works and has no data left on it. His original iPod Photos were stored on that PC that no longer works.
He has since purchased an iMac and is running Lion OS X, all up to date.
The problem: He NO LONGER has the ORIGINAL PHOTOS, only the ones on his iPod Nano, that used to work with his PC, which no longer functions.
He would like to copy the photos stored on his iPod Nano, to his new iMac.
Using finder, he went to Device, then clicked PHOTOS and dragged the folder to his desktop. It said there was 1.43 GB of content.
However, all that was saved to the desktop was (see other photo) Photo Cache, Photo Database and Thumbs. There are no photos at all. What is he doing wrong? Thanks. There are a number programs out there for recovering photos from an iPod, have a look at the ones below. If you search the internet you can find more. Just be aware that what you'll be recovering will be photos optimised for the iPod so they won't be the same quality as the original full resolution versions:

I believe you will find you can again sync Photos if you delete the "iPod Photo Cache", but predict that any subsequent attempt will fail. In my case, the enxt sync removes all the photos again - I've seen other reports of error messages upon sync. Mine just fails silently. :-) -
My hard drive crashed for my imac. It had all of our family photos for the past 3 years. We did save the photos on an ipod. Apple now says that we are not allowed to move the photos from the ipod to the new hard drive. We placed the photo folder on the desktop of the imac, but everytime we try to open the folder with iphoto, we get an error message saying that they are in the wrong format to be read. Can someone help us restore these photos? Thanks.

Recently my MacBook's hard drive failed, and I lost all of my information...I now have a new computer, but still am missing my photos. However, they are all on my iPod. When I tried to plug it in and retrieve I was having trouble figuring out a way to import the photos back into iPhoto. If this is possible, I would love to know how to do it.

How do I delete photos from iPod Touch? Some photos do not have the trash basket option!
How do I delete photos from iPod Touch? Some photos do not have the trash basket option!
When I first synced my iPod Touch with my laptop, it uploaded a lot of photos onto the iPod. I now wish to delete those but it does not seem as a straight forward option! For photos synced to the iPod you have to unsync them:
To delete photos from your device
In iTunes, select the device icon in the Devices list on the left. Click the Photos tab in the resulting window.
Choose "Sync photos from."
On a Mac, choose iPhoto or Aperture from the pop-up menu.
On a Windows PC, choose Photoshop Album or Photoshop Elements from the pop-up menu.
Choose "Selected albums" and deselect the albums or collections you want to delete.
Click Apply.

how do I recover photos from my AppleTV photo stream? when I reset my iPhone, I did not get all of my photos back. How do I get these photos off of my Apple TV?
Hi MrRhea,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
It sounds like you have photos in your Photo Stream that you would like to download. The photos are not actually stored on your Apple TV, it sounds like they are being displayed from your Photo Stream. Please read over the attached article for information on your Photo Stream and how to download these photos.
My Photo Stream FAQ - Apple Support
Because your Mac and PC have more storage than your iOS devices, you can choose to download all of your My Photo Stream photos automatically.
In iPhoto or Aperture preferences on your Mac, select Photos (or Photo Stream) > My Photo Stream > Automatic Import. All of your photo stream photos will import into your Events, Projects, Photos, Faces, and Places folders in iPhoto or Aperture.
On your PC with My Photo Stream on in the Control Panel, all of your photos will import intoC:\\Users\<user name>\Pictures\iCloud Photos\My Photo Stream

How can I recover photos from old iphone icloud backup to new one?
Hello, I had an iPhone 4 which I lost and inside there were some great photos that I want now to recover. In the meanwhile I bought an iPhone5S and I just realized that inside the iCloud backup menu is saying that there is a backup of 3GB of my old iPhone. How can I see if in that backup the photos are there? I have connected my iPhoto App to iCloud but it only finds photos from my new iPhone and not the old one...
Thanks for your time.Hi, Tiago, maybe you can get help from data recovery software. Now things get easy now.
As far as I know, there are three ways to recover deleted contacts and photos from iPhone 5 with iPhone Data Recovery.
Way 1: Recover deleted photos from iPhone directly
Way 2: Using iTunes Backup to recover deleted photos
Way 3: Using iCloud Backup to recover deleted photos
You can refer the way 3 of how to recover deleted photos from iPhone to recover photos from old iPhone iCloud backup.
Good luck to you. -
Is there any way to transfer photos from ipod touch (2nd generation
Is there any way to transfer photos from ipod touch (2nd generation & OS is 4.2.1) to PC? I am struggling a lot. The OS cannot be upgradable beyond 4.2.1
I am wondering if there could be many other ways to transfer the photos like:
1. with the help of any android app
2. ipod touch to iphone/ipod latest version
3. any 3rd party free softwares (there are paid 3rd party softwares but I dont want to invest)
I did try some of the options:
1. I could emailed only 6 photos in one email (I have almost 800 photos and would be time consuming.
2. I'm trying to access my google account on my ipod but it keeps coming up with "oops! your browser seems to have cookies disabled..." My cookies are not disabled. Safari is the only browser for ipod touch and could not be able to installed not only any new browser but also any iphone apps. Updates for the existing apps not possible at all. So this option of uploading the photos on google drive is ruled out.
Anybody is there to help me out? Sorry for such a long inventory.
Thank you!If they are in the iPod' Saved Photos album then:

How to recover photos from a usb key to put on ipad
how to recover photos from a usb key to put on ipad
What do you mean 'how to recover' ? If you want to copy the photos from the USB drive to your iPad then you can try using the camera connection kit, but a lot of USB drives require more power than is supplied to the kit and the photos need to be in a particular format : you need to create a DCIM directory off the root of the drive with the photos underneath it, and the photo filenames need to be exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension i.e. in a similar format as if a camera had created/written them
