Recovering photos from the icloud

Recovering photos from the icloud.  Any suggestions?

If you backed up your phone to iCloud, the photos in the Camera Roll album (taken on the phone) are backed up, but not photos synced to your phone from your computer.
To restore the photos to the phone, you have to restore the entire backup - can't selectively restore the photos.
1. Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
2. Follow  prompts on your phone to re-activate and restore the backup from iCloud.

Had you set your iPhone up to use Photo Stream?
Had your performed an iCloud backup of your iPhone before it was damaged?
If you did neither of the above, then your photos are not in the cloud, and they are gone.
If you performed an iCloud backup, then it would contain the photos in the iPhone's Camera Roll (taken on the iPhone) at the time of your last backup.  You could restore this iCloud backup to a device.
If your iPhone used Photo Stream, those photos are immediately accessible to your iPad if you set it up to use the same Photo Stream.

  • I lost my iPhone 5 how can recover my photos from the iCloud

I lost my iPhone 5 how can recover my photos from the iCloud?

The only way photos are stored in icloud is in a backup from an ios device.  This assumes that icloud backup was turned on and that camera roll was turned on.  Note that photo stream is a slightly different service that is used to sync photos from one device to another, it's not really a storage service.
To retrieve photos that are in a backup, you need to reset a device (wipe all data from it) and perform a restore.  Note that many users have had problems getting their photos back from a backup - for one reason or another.  Remember, the suggested way of storing photos is to sync them to a computer or service like Dropbox.

Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings.  This will erase your device.  Then you will go through the setup screens again as you did when your device was new, and when given the option, select Restore from iCloud Backup.

  • How do you download photos from the icloud back to your phone?

How do you download photos from the icloud back to your phone? I want to save my photos on my hard drive and not in the cloud.

iPhoto 9.2 (and higher) can move your Photo Stream files and store them permanately on your computer and move them to your phone.
You can also move them on your iPhone from Photo Stream to Camera Roll.

how to recover phontos from the recycle bin or how to find them on icloud ??

If you are using Photo Stream on your computer (Mac - logged into iCloud & Phtot Stream on / PC - installed iCloud Control Panel logged in and have Photo Stream turned on) then the photos you deleted should be safe and sound on your computer. Otherwise you may be out of luck.

How to retrieve photos from the iCloud

icloud only stores photos in backups (or in a special case, when using photo stream).  If you have turned on backup and made sure the camera roll is turned on (only photos from camera roll are backed up), then you can get photos back by performing a restore.  But note that users should always sync photos to a computer to archive them, relying on icloud is not foolproof.

  • How do I retrieve my photos from the iCloud

I replaced my iPhone 4s at the apple store today. They did a restore from the iCloud. I stayed at the store until the phone stated it was restored and my apps were downloading. Later when I looked at my photos it had stopped at about half the photo download. Is there any way i can get the rest of them to download?

You need to restore your device and restore from an "iCloud" back up to get the photos in your camera roll onto your device.  This will bring virtually almost everything else over to your new device.

  • Recover files from the iCloud, recover files from the iCloud

Hello, a couple of weeks ago my macbook pro was stolen, now I have a new one and I am trying to recover my files from the iCloud but I can´t. Can someone please tell me how to do it? Thanks

There's no way that you're going to recover all of your files from iCloud. Depending on what you stored on iCloud, you can log into your account via the web to see what's there (contacts, TextEdit and Pages docs, mail, notes - whatever you had it set up for).
But what's stored on iCloud is limited - it's only 5GB after all. You're just going to be able to get to what you had stored there.

  • I want to put my photos from my iPhone to the cloud but I don't want photos from the iCloud downloaded to my phone

I want the photos from my phone to be uploaded to the icloud but I dont want photos to be downloaded to my phone.  Is there a way I can do that?  the photos are taking up too much space and I can't download the new IOS 6.

If by 'Allfiles' you mean 'All My Files' then what you see is correct. The All My Files option under Favorites shows all the files in your user folder. All your documents, music, movies, pictures, everything. Under the View menu you have an 'Arrange By' selection that can arrange all your documents by what kind they are, by what Application owns them, or by name, date, etc.
Since this isn't what you want, unselect 'All My Files' and choose the folder you want to see. BTW, those items under Favorites are user adjustable. You can drag a folder into that blue area under Favorites to add it to the Favorites and you can remove one by holding the Command key and dragging it from favorites into the desktop. You'll see the icon change into a cloud and when you release the mouse it will disappear.

  • Is there any way to recover photos from the iPhone, which is in the       recovery mode? Maybe take it apart?

My iPhone is in recovery mode. Is there nay chance to get photos from it?

I know this is an old post but in case anyone reading this is in the same position as I was today, I was most grateful to read the existence of FonePaw that enabled me to rescue over 1,000 photos when my iphone 5 went into recovery mode during a failed upgrade:
    http://www.fonepaw.com/mac-iphone-data-recovery/installation.html
It worked perfectly and my iphone is now backing up to my Mac as I'm writing this post.
I may receive some form of compensation, financial or otherwise, from my recommendation or link.

  • How can I recover photos from old iphone icloud backup to new one?

Hello, I had an iPhone 4 which I lost and inside there were some great photos that I want now to recover. In the meanwhile I bought an iPhone5S and I just realized that inside the iCloud backup menu is saying that there is a backup of 3GB of my old iPhone. How can I see if in that backup the photos are there? I have connected my iPhoto App to iCloud but it only finds photos from my new iPhone and not the old one...
    Thanks for your time.

Hi, Tiago, maybe you can get help from data recovery software. Now things get easy now.
As far as I know, there are three ways to recover deleted contacts and photos from iPhone 5 with iPhone Data Recovery.
Way 1: Recover deleted photos from iPhone directly
Way 2: Using iTunes Backup to recover deleted photos
Way 3: Using iCloud Backup to recover deleted photos
You can refer the way 3 of how to recover deleted photos from iPhone to recover photos from  old iPhone iCloud backup.
    Good luck to you.

  • Ok I can't seem to get my apps, music, or photos from my iCloud from when I first setup iCloud on a iPhone 4. How do I get my things back from the iCloud and get them to my new device?

If you no longer have the phone or have any Backup of it at all, you can re-download your apps and your content from the iTunes Store by logging into your Apple ID at settings> iTunes & App Store. Unfortunately you can no longer recover the data that was associated with those apps.
So far as your photos go, you can recover any photos that were in photo stream and taken less than 30 days ago by logging in with your Apple ID to settings> iCloud> photos. Unfortunately you will be unable to recover any photos from your camera roll.

Welcome to the Apple community khnkOliver.
I assume these photos, or at least not all of them weren't in photo stream.
You should be able to recover your photos from a back up.
