Recovering some information (urgent, kind of)
Im about to reformat "hda5" and reinstall Widget in it, but before that i need to save my emails (i used thunderbird as client) and my bookmarks (i used Mozilla-firefox).
I dont know if they are in my home or where... if they are in my home, then there is no problem and i can proceed, but if they are somewhere like /opt/blablabla or /var/blablabla, then i coulndt find them and i would really apreciate if someone tells me the exact directory.
Im planing to do it in an hour or so, so if anyone is so kind to help asap, it would be great, as i wont have much free time to reinstall and configure tomorrow.

I forgot, in case someone missed it, im out of system as i presume i found a bug with Pacman, but i didnt get any oficial answer so for now "something" blow up my system and left me in this windows-state.

Lamentably, i tryed to reinstall Arch over my old install, but i think my Image has a problem, thought the MD5 checksum was OK when my friend downloaded, i think he has some problems at the burning time...
I got an "Buffer I/O ERROR, HDC block file 17XX"... XX starting in some number and the message repeated several times with diferent blocks...
HDC is my cd-rom drive so, i guess the problem is on the CD and not the drive...
Well, i will check .thunderbird.. actually i never thought of it because there is a .mozilla-thunderbird folder.. so i didnt thought about looking in other hidden directory in my home. Same for firefox.

I was doing a backup of my iphone 3GS on itunes before a update it. This backup was interrupted for a call and I didn't noticed that, so I update the mobile and recovered it, but when the recover did not work because it was interrupted and I lost all my data, contacts and photographs. There is any way to recover it? I found a part of the backup that was interrupted on the folder of itunes.
Grateful,Unfortunately if your backup is password protected you can't extract data from it without the password. There are programs that will extract data from an iPhone backup, but not if they it is password protected. (This is actually a good thing since it protects your security.) My suggestion is that you make a copy of this backup to a save location somewhere else on your computer so you can restore to it in the future to recover you photos should you remember your password later. If you leave it there, the next time you sync your phone it will overwrite the backup and will never be able to get it back.

OS is a windows XP 32 bits. CPU usage is around 75%.

In quickviewer it is allowing me to input only 5000 or 6000 (BP)records, if i am trying to input more than that it is throwing ABAP- run time error. Is there any other way to input more than that in Quickviewe

you get an error because the work with the Quickviewer is a dialog- Prozess.
If you want a 'work around', set the parameter of the timeout dialog prozess higher.

If I got a new hard drive on my computer and plugged in the time capsule afterwards, would I be able to recover the information from my old hard drive that was stored on the time capsule prior to the replacement?

Hard drive error: Some information was unavailable during an internal lookup
I tried upgrading my hard drive on my 13" MacBook Pro (mid-2010) to a solid state drive. When I did, I encountered a problem where I could not boot from my internal drive.
It boots fine from the external drive that I used to clone my old HHD.
When I run repair disk in disk utility I get an error:
Problems were encountered during repair of the partition map
Error: Some information was unavailable during an internal lookup.
Running repair disk on the external drive returns no errors.
My first thought was I have a bad SATA cable. After replacing the SATA cable, I am still having the problem.
Anyone have any ideas on what could be the problem? SATA Connector on the motherboard failed?
Thanks in advance.I formatted it a Mac OS Extended (Journaled) using the Erase function in Disk Utility then copied the contents of my HD using Restore in Disk Utility. It seemed to copy all of the contents correctly. It boots from the external drive.
The problem starts when I put it in the computer and try to boot internally. It will not boot. Also, my old HD will also not boot internally now either. -

the problem is that i always get error 10049 in socket::open meaning no adresse could be found i tried IP adresse and still the same.
i managed to recreate the same web page to test it on local and the surprise that it works fine but when accessing it online i have this error.
i tried also to get the page i created on a webserver i own to try it saying that there might be security issues but the same error appears again. so help plz
