Recovery Activity :- Need help

Hi,
In our production database, some data blocks had been corrupt, so with help of Oracle support i am able to fix this problem. But the problem is raising again and again.
So for that daily i m running the script.
backup verify using logical datafile 4;
blockrecover corruption list;
After send log to Oracle support, they were telling its hardware,OS or may be I/O related problem.
So for that tomorrow we are planning this activity in production.
Data files i residing in SAN drive.
I am planning to take cold backup. Kindly advice to on the precautionary measures to be taken to avoid the database from getting corrupted.

Migrate to different server, volume manager and SAN cabinet and test if the issue is resolved.

RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary.

Flash recovery area, need help!

Hi! I have some problems with Flash Recovery Area. I use Oracle 10g.
So,
1) I tried to change Flash Recovery Area Size from 10 to 15 GB in Enterprise Manager, see: http://my.jetscreenshot.com/2677/20111129-mxmb-117kb
Applied changes and shutdown DB. After I started DB and see the Flash Recovery Area Size then I can see that it is old one - 10GB and free space is with "-" sign, see: http://my.jetscreenshot.com/2677/20111129-bwlw-101kb
What I am doing wrong?
2) Can You pleas explain, what to do step by step with example, how can I delete Flash Recovery files USING ENTERPRISE MANAGER, what steps I need to do? Because my HDD is almost full.

1) Mybe I can't change recovery area size because there somewhere area size is limited to 10gb, because I do not understand why always after restart there is 10gb... :(You are missing something when you bounce, Make sure you have started with same SPFILE, You have to load the same PFILE/SPFILE when you performed changes.
2) How can I schedule a RMAN job to cleanup? Can You give me all necessary steps to do?You can schedule RMAN archive delete jobs.

Enterprise Activation - NEED HELP.

have an 8310. When i try to run enterprise activation i get an error that an error occured and i need to contact system administrator. When i contact this guy he can't resolve issue and says i need to send him my phone. I have to believe whatever needs to be troubleshooted can be done on the phone. What is he missing, or does it have to be sent?
I see that there are 4 "whitelists" that may not be right on his end. thoughts anyone?

On the other hand, if you are not an enterprise user, then the Enterprise option for email does not apply to you. To use the proprietary RIM Push email capability, you must have an adequate data plan from your carrier. The carriers host BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) for their BB users. Typically, BIS is not available via generic data plans. Many carriers call what is necessary The Blackberry Data Plan. Whatever they call it, it is the carrier who delivers BIS to their BB users -- contact them for assistance. Once you have a BIS-capable data plan on your BB (at whatever fees your carrier will charge, btw), you will then have Personal Email added to the email setup wizard.

First time i start the rescue and recovery i though it perform some task, then i leave it run and go to sleep (about 7 hours), when i wake up... there is nothing change, still that screen with the command line window.

I reinstalled osx 10.8.2 from recovery disk, now verify disk says my hard drive is there but wont boot into it regardless which partition i select to boot into , everytime it boots me into the recovery, i need help!

Your rushing and not making much sense.
Your machine was running like garbage, so you tried to reinstall 10.8---did you do this or not?
Disk Utility says your drive is ok, that's good.
But when you boot it keeps booting Recovery HD, so perhaps the firmware has made a mistake, it can forget.
You held the option key down to boot into Startup Manager, why didn't you select OS X for the boot volume?
When you get into OS X you change the Startup Disk in System Preferences, that should take care of the Flashing Question mark issue.

So now your reinstalling OS X like you set out to do before, it does take some time as it has to download from Apple's servers.
If your Internet connection is slow and/or Wifi is slow then it will take awhile.
So you should have the Flashing Question Mark and Reinstall Only OS X covered.
You should be able to boot the machine, but your performance issues may be something else and still remain.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

1st the sata drive cannot be listed as a slave drive to the ide master [key word=ide-can be configured as master OR slave, master IF only 1 hd, master and slave IF 2 hds], on the sata controler you can have master and slave, the ide cable has two connectors for the hds, sata has only 1 hd connector.
are you wanting to install the sata as primary master and move the operating sys to that drive, if so you will need an IMAGING software to move an operating system OR you could do a fresh operating system install to the sata drive then install your programs.

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

yes i am sure. This are the exact words... "The iPad "iPad" could not be restored. The disk you are attempting to use is full. (Removing files and emptying the recycle bin will free up additional space". i tried some options, hard reset, redsnow, tinyumbrella but still it's stuck.

No. You have to restore. To allow the restore try the following:
- A reset.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Manually placing the iPod in Recovery Mode
- Placing the iPod in DFU mode.

- If you can't turn the iPod off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for at least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
