Recovery deleted photo (without SD card)

hello everybody! my father had deleted the photo on his phone... I am triyng to recover them, but i cannot connect the phone as phisycal drive.. it appears as network drive.. how can i do? i have windows 7 ultimate..thanks to all.

When you connect the phone to your computer it should be seen as a physical drive. You should see two drives. One is the SD card and the other is the internal memory of the phone.
For this to work, make sure you have Z10 the drivers installed. By installing the Link sofware the drivers are automatically installed when the Z10 is connected.
As for SD cards, when data is erased, it is not like with DOS and some operating systems where only the header ID flag in the directory table is changed, and the data is intact until some other data writes over it. The deleted flag tells the OS that the space
is available and the space can be overwritten with new data.
In Windows when a file is normally deleted it is flagged to be part of the Waste Bin folder which is designed as a system folder. The file is not really deleted while in the Waste Bin Folder. It is in a sense re-alocated. When you tell the waste bin utility
to delete the file, then it overwrites it entirely with the equivalent of 0's. This makes the file securely deleted.
With SD cards the system is different. There is no waste area for the files. There is no easy access to re-set the delete flag. If you did more writing to the card, the flagged data can be easily over written. There are some utility programs out there that
claim to be able to undelete files on the SD card. You will need a Windows computer and a card reader to do this. I found some software that are supposed to be able to do this. I never used them, or know if they will charge a fee to use it once it claims it
can undelete the file.

  • How to not delete photos on memory card once uploaded to iphoto??

    Hello!
I have checked the box that said DELETE PHOTOS ON MEMORY CARD ONCE UPLOADED ON IPHOTO, and I did check "don't ask me again"... and now I do not know how to undo this mistake I made.
    Please help?
    Thanks!!
    -Emilie

What OS and version of iPhoto  --  prior to Lion
A good general step for strange issues is to renew the iPhoto preference file - quit iPhoto and go to "your user name" ==> library ==> preferences ==> com.apple.iPhoto.plist and trash it - launch iPhoto which creates a fresh new default preference file and reset any personal preferences you have changed and if you have moved the iPhoto library repoint to it. This may help
This does not affect your photos or any database information (keywords, faces, places, ratings, etc) in any way - they are stored in the iPhoto library - the iPhoto preference file simply controls how iPhoto works - which is why renewing it is a good first step.

  • Hp 10 plus can't delete photos on SD card from tablet Gallery or Photos

Cannot delete photos on SD card from Gallery or Photos apps. Process says photo deleted but it is still on the SD card!

    Hey @JPLAR ,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
Sounds like you're running KitKat. If you're using Android 4.4 please see the following:
KitKat and SD cards — what's fixed, what's broken and what's misunderstood.
How can I get Android KitKat to work with my SD cards?
I would suggest trying a different app like ES File Explorer or something similar. KitKat permissions do not allow manipulation of files that are not in the same install directory as the app itself. The Gallery app is on the internal storage while the data is on your SD card, hence the issues.
    Hope this helps!

  • Recovery deleted photo (SD card)

Is it possible to recover deleted photos which accidenlty were deleted?
    Thanks!

    Hello,
Directly on the device, not that I know of. But, if you remove the card and use a PC card reader, then you can use Zero Assumption Recovery (a free app for PC...google for it) to attempt recovering them. Time is critical...the longer amount of time that passes between when the deletion happened and when you attempt the recovery the less likely you will have a successful recovery.
    Good luck!

  • Running out of internal storage space! Want to make room by deleting photos WITHOUT LOSING MY PHOTOS! Can I delete the Camera Roll yet still keep my photos in Photo Stream?? Will doing this free up ios storage? Does Photo Stream auto delete ever?

Hello, I am out of internal storage on my Iphone 4 ALREADY (Just purchased 3 months ago!). I need to clear up some space so I can do updates and take new photos. I was thinking about backing up my Photo Stream to the icloud and then deleting my Camera Roll.
1.) Is this a terrible idea??? I do NOT want to lose those photos! But I NEED more space on my phone!
2.) Will deleting Camera Roll free up space (a sufficient amount? My Camera Roll is at 4.5 GB)?
3.) Will deleting Camera Roll delete my photos from Photo Stream also? It doesn't seem to.
4.)  Does Photo Stream ever automatically delete photos???
5.)  Is there anyway I can save the pictures from my phone to my computer??? I can see the photos on my computer when viewing them through Photo Stream, but those are not permanent, correct?
This is one of the most ridiculous, confusing and unnessacary things I've ever known! Why oh why can't we just have a good ol' SD Card??? (My Droid never ever ran out of storage and I had it for 2 years...)
I tried backing up my photos in Itunes, but I don't have a new enough version. I tried downloading a new itunes and it still tells me I don't have the new version.
I have been working on this for 4 hours, its 2:30 am and I am going to bed. I am sorry I had to ask, but I've been searching and searching and just cannot find the answers. Thank you so much for your help!
6.) Also, I haven't been able to find the videos using the Icloud or the Photo Stream either...
7.) Do you have to have your device (pc) synced with icloud to access the info you backed up from iphone?? Like can I show my cousin my photos at her house using her computer by just loggin on??? Or can I only view my contacts, calender, mail, notifications, and such?
8.) Where on the icloud would one find text messages or other saved info??
Thank you so very much for helping me!!!

What I would say is best is to import the videos and photos to your computer so that you can delete camera roll photos with a copy of them in your possession:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4083
In regards to backing up Photo Stream
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4486:
Does Photo Stream use my iCloud storage?
"No. Photos uploaded to My Photo Stream or Shared Photo Streams do not count against your iCloud storage."
However, you can do the tedious task of moving your camera roll pictures to photo stream by ensuring photo stream is turned on for your device and take a screen shot of each picture in your camera roll to move it over.
To take a screen shot, just press the "Home Button" and the "Sleep/Wake Button" at the same time while viewing the image.
1.)  It's not a terrible idea, it can be tedious though.
2.)  Deleting a bunch of photos/videos from a camera roll 4.5GB in size can definitely free up space
3.)  Photo Stream photos, as you said, appear to stay upon deleting the photos.  (Tested it personally)
4.)  Photo Stream has a limit according to:  (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4858)
Essentially, it won't erase your photos until you tell it to.
    5.)  http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4083  (As shown above)
6.)  To update iTunes, you must download and then "Run" the download you get off the website.  Otherwise you will just have an installer program sitting there not updating iTunes.
7.)  You can bring up your Photo Stream pictures anywhere you have Photo Stream capabilities.  For a computer at someone else's house, they would have to have the iCloud control panel (http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1455) on their computer and be signed into their Photo Stream and viewing your profile's pictures (http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4379)
8.)  On iCloud, you can backup your text messages, but you cannot view them independently on www.icloud.com.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4859
"You get 5 GB of free iCloud storage for:
Photos and videos in the Camera Roll
Device settings (for example: Phone Favorites, Wallpaper, and Mail, Contacts, Calendar accounts)
    App data
    Home screen and app organization
    Messages (iMessage, SMS, and MMS)
    Ringtones
    Visual Voicemails"
Hope some of this information helps!

  • How to delete photos without a keyword

I have 10,000+ photos from my son's football season in Events in iPhoto 09. I only want to keep the ones that I have marked with a specific keyword. This seems like it should be a simple task but I can't seem to figure out how to select photos without a keyword and then be able to delete them from my library. Can anyone help?

make a smart album Keyword is not "your special key word" and delete the photos form that album

  • Curve 8530 and photos without media card?

An acquaintance replaced her Curve 8530 with a Droid and wants to get her photos off the Curve. She has never installed BB Desktop nor backed up her photos before. She claims she has no media card in it but I wonder if you can save photos without one and I'm not there to check out her phone myself right now.
So my 2 questions  are 1) If you do not add a micro-SD card, can you still take and store photos? (I wonder if she has a card and doesn't know it). And 2) If it is possible without a media card, how can she download her photos to her computer? (If it's a media card, I know what to do)
    TIA

To answer your questions, yes you can store photos without a media card.  There is a limited amount of memory available in the phone for media storage.  Without a media card, the easiest method would have been for her to email the photos to an account accessed on a PC.  Of course I am guessing that option is probably no longer available.
While I do not have a Curve 8530, I am guessing they came loaded with a micro SD card and your friend just doesn't realize it is there.  I also guess the new Droid has one that could be used to access the 8530 files if necessary.

  • How can I recover deleted photos without iTunes backup, How can I recover deleted photos without iTunes backup

I am a new user to the ipad  Purchased a mini.  Took prom pictures and promptly deleted them from my Camera Roll.  I have not backed up to iTunes.  Is there a way to recover them from my mini?

Even if you haven’t backed up your iPad with iTunes manually, iTunes might have backed up it automatically each time you sync your iPad with iTunes. If you have enabled iCloud, every time, your iPad is connected to Wifi and a power source, and the screen is locked, iCloud will automatically backup your photos. So try to restore the deleted photos from iTunes or iCloud backup first if the backups were created before the deletion.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
If you don’t want to restore your iPad with an out-of-date backup, erase all the content and settings on your iPad, and go back to an older iOS version, try to extract your iPad photos from your iTunes or iCloud backup with the iPhone backup extractor.
Other than restoring from iTunes or iCloud backup, there are still at least 3 other solutions for you to recover deleted photos on iPhone (also works for iPad):
    Extracting from previous iTunes backup;
    Retrieving directly from iPhone;
    Copying from other backups.

  • How can I use Ipad to view and delete photos from SD card without importing?

Importantly I would like to view the photos from the SD card in full screen (vs. just a thumbnail) before deciding whether to delete.
It seem's that with the camera connection kit you can only view them as thumbnails before importing.
Any other apps or hardware I could consider?
Basically I would like to use the Ipad as my travel photo editing tool - specifically I want to be able to delete unwanted photos from my SD card without having to actually import them into the Ipad (but would like to be able to benefit from quality of ipad screen to actually review the photos before deleting).
Thanks in advance for any tips you can share .....

You must import if you want the iPad to have a file to display on the screen.

  • Trying to delete photos without loosing them completely...

I need to delete pictures off of my iphone to free up storage space.  If my photostream pics are automatically downloaded to my iphoto and aperture on my macbook, can I delete them from my phone's camera roll without loosing them on my computer?

Have you confirmed that the photos have been imported into your libraries?  In iPhoto if the Photo Stream preferences are set like this:
your Photo Streame photos have been imported and will be in an Event.
If that's the case you can delete the photos from the Camera Roll on the phone and they'll be save in the library.

  • Can I recovery deleted photos from the trash bin?

I accidentally deleted all of my photos , is there any chance I can recover them?
I think I've deleted them permanently by emptying the trash bin.

Csound1 is right  DO NOT OVERWRITE YOUR DATA, stutdown your system and find a nice data recovery pograms like Stellar Phoenix Mac, Data Rescue, Disk Drill, PhotoRec. The photos on your hard drive actually are not lost and can be recovered. Stellar Phoenix Mac can recover your lost data even when you have emptied your trash as well and supports Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2
The free demo of Stellar Phoenix Mac can show you the recoverable photos and images so that you can recognize them and get satisfied before any purchase

  • Deleting photos from SD card

How do I delete these en mass?  Have accumulated over 300 over the yrs & could do with freeing up the space as everthing is backed up to my PC.  I have attempted to select all these from BlackBerry desktop software without any joy as everytime I select them all and attempt to right click it only returns 1 image & I haven't got time to go through them all like this.
Actually quite staggered that I seem to be the only one to post about this!  Attempted to reformat the SD card using a USB device to do this but when I insert the micro SD into the adapter the PC cannot find anything on the drive.  Think this must be a faulty adapter.
    Regards

    CAUTION:
If you format your media card or built-in media storage, all of the data that's saved to your media card or built-in media storage is deleted. Research In Motion recommends that you regularly create and save a backup file on your computer, especially before you update any software. Maintaining a current backup file on your computer might allow you to recover smartphone data if your smartphone is lost, stolen, or corrupted by an unforeseen issue.
On the Home screen or in a folder, click the Options icon.
    Click Device > Storage.
    Press the key > Format.
Complete the instructions on the screen.
Format your media card or built-in media storage
Click if you want to Thank someone. If Problem is resolved, so that others can make use of it.

  • Is there any way to recover deleted photos without a backup?

I have the Iphone 4 and today when I tried to download the new update, Itunes restored my Iphone. My latest backup is from May, so I lost over 300 photos, all of my text messages etc. Is there anyway to get these photos back without having to pay for one of those online softwares?

Yes dear there is a way please follow the steps
    1. use itunes to create a backup file ( you can try using one that you have saved previously just as a test)
2 to located the backfile you need to click my computer->c:->users->(select user)->(when you get to this file click ALT on the keyboard and watch the new toolbar open.In the new toolbar click tools->folder options->view and select show hiden files.
3 now that you see all the files click on AppData->Roaming->Apple computer->MobileSync->Backup
Here is an example of what i see on my computer as the address path :
    C:\Users\silva\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup
Select the file that you want to see the deteled images.
4 (the files in there dont have extentions and therefore you don't know what is a image , in order to change the file extension to find your images follow this step) if you have windows 7 please hold shift key and click on the file name PRIOR To open the file. Holding the shift key click with the right side of the mouse and select open command windown here. Once the command windown opens type ren *. *.jpg
if you have other windows you must open the file and once inside the file hold shift key and press the right side buttom on the mouse and click open command windown here and do the same as above.
Now you can view all the IMAGES THAT HAVE BEEN DELETED OR NOT> ALL THE IMAGES THAT WERE EVER TAKEN WITH IPHONE.
please email me at [email protected] with questions.

  • IPHONE 5 RETRIEVE DELETED PHOTOS WITHOUT BACKUP

    Hi,
    Hope anyone could help me.
Is there any way to retrieve my photos (taken last night then accidentally deleted earlier this morning)???
Just got my new iphone 5 (last week) and I forgot to ON my icloud that's why I dont have the backup files.
Please help me, I hate this feeling. I really need to retrieve all the important photos.
    Thank you.

You can use iOS data recovery, I've tried and test it on iOS 6 on my iPhone 4, so I can't guarantee anything for an iPhone 5 but I would be fairly sure it would work.
First restore your iPhone 5 from backup so it has all your pics which you want to save on your phone (among the useless extra stuff you don't want). Then back up your phone and open iOS data recovery and locate your most recent backup. Find photo file and select then and export them to your desktop (along with the info which it asks, required to restore into a backup).
Then restore your phone to new and do not restore from backup. Once it's back to factory settings, back up your phone (obviously this will backup practically nothing as you have just restored it). Then open it and locate the clean backup you just created. Then choose "import" and select the pic file and import them into your backup. Once this is done, go to iTunes and choose restore from backup and select this backup. This should keep everything clean, and just put the photos back onto your phone, aka your photos and contacts.
